Your list might be more suitable as a wiki page, in table form.
This is a very good idea. I think a wiki page should be created with a table with "service", "fee", "chargebacks", "accepted under tos", etc.

Why would you be against this?
As someone somewhere else stated, this kind of pyramid or ponzi scheme is just gambling.
It's gambling that you'll get in before people stop joining. That's why nobody joins fxnet now because everybody is already on fxnet. It's a bet on how many people will join and how quickly.

He was talking to the owner of Jackpot Dice. As I've noted in the Double Trouble thread both sites are plagued with FastCGI Errors.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Looks neat, I might give it a try.

One issue you're going to have with this is that the chances * cost of betting are nowhere near that of other games, such as Double or Nothing.
I have a 1/5 chance of getting the first one right, and if I do, I get .002 Bitcoins. In Double or Nothing, by playing 2 times I have a 1/4 chance of winning twice, and I would earn 4 times as much if I did.

I've updated the main thread.

When you have the required info you need from the user. That will redirect them to the MyBitcoin page.

As for the random.org thing, random.org actually requests that you grab a large amount of random data at a time, rather than one request all the time. The reason being load on their servers. You'll probably have better luck with the buffer.

Isn't it nice to get this after you place a bet? So what happens now? Is it the games special way of saying that I shouldn't try to gamble on suspicious games? (your other game, coin toss, posting here as you seem to ignore the other threads) If you haven't closed the tab, refresh, yes resend POSTDATA. Also, I've had noticeably worse luck on Double Trouble than Bitcoin Toss.
Lulz, thanks but take time out from your shillin' for a while it's starting to get obvious Heh, I only say it because I don't want others to lose out on money, I'm serious.

This is actually a really neat idea. Of course, if BlockExplorer.com goes down, you will have issues. But then I guess MyBitcoin would have the same. I prefer to do my own manual checking with bitcoind running on the server w/ JSON-RPC.

It's not very difficult to create an alternative, as kiba said, and I actually began some code on one awhile ago, before giving it up.
Who owns MyBitcoin?

Yes, it would be different from Bidding Pond because while Bidding Pond is an auction site, this is just a quick, easy way to get items proxy purchased for you.
I don't want to bid on my pizza gift card. I'd rather just pay 6 BTC to someone who'll buy it for me.
It would work like this:
1. You see a listing for something you could buy. 2. You go to the listing, check details, ratings. 3. You can choose to hit "I Accept", at which point the auction closes until it's reopened by the buyer. 4. You can start a private messaging chat with the user to get more details, or use a contact option they listed in their description. 5. Once they have received the good, or confirmation of the good, they hit "Filled", and the person who bought the item for the buyer will receive the amount of BTC listed under "Reward".
I also have a little JS calculator on the side for quick conversion between BTC and USD.
Unfortunately, the design is god-awful, and I would need some help with it if I'm to pick this project back up.

Last one failed too. Thanks for the (incoming) .33 BTC.

so far 1 worked (lulz) and 1 failed (whoami) for you. The other 2 weren't rejected but still haven't been logged into yet via the desktop client jtmaguire failed too. I have an idea for the last one.

Hey, don't give up so quicky I had to think this through a bit on how it might work. Let anyone post a request, and then send a certain amount of bitcoins to the site, which holds it in escrow - once the proxy buyer submits a "I sent/bought/whatever the thing you wanted, please release the coins. If the person doesn't protest, within a week the coins are released, otherwise it is submitted to a mod to arbitrate. Maybe integrate it into the WoT? This was the general idea, and I planned to pull rating from OTC, but I'm not sure how I could put ratings into the WoT. The user would have to verify they are actually the user from OTC by signing a request key similar to the way it works in #bitcoin-otc. And the escrow was my plan, yes. But I really don't think anybody is interested, and I can't design for the life of me so it won't really get anywhere past the programming stages even if I continue. ~lulz

I also created an account? How does one collect the shares?
Edit: what's the difference between UBX, ubitex and MHNGZ they all seem to be the same thing?
I'm retracting my statement, sorry chris, I didn't know the situation. UBX is the official Ubitex share, I believe.

I take it nobody's interested and will abandon the project.

Please add the txfee of .01 as I don't trust Double Trouble and would prefer to use Bitcoin Toss, but it takes so long to receive funds that I have to resort to using Double Trouble.

Sorry, one more thing... I'm also trying to gauge interest here. If nobody is interested, I'll discontinue the project as there's no reason wasting my time on it.
So does anyone want to see this, have suggestions on how it could be better, etc?
