Hi all
Apologies for the delay in response. The site has been taken down temporarily due to administrative reasons. All your bitcoins and bets are safe and will be returned to you if requested.
Regards BetVIP Well I requested my funds around 7 or 8 hours ago. I have received nothing. On top of that, I was told by Schwartzkopff on twitter yesterday that the reason the site was down was for maintenance: Now we are told today it's for 'administrative reasons' It can't be both.

BetVIP is not responding to communication.
Believe it or not......this was posted on this forum last year by betVIP when Bitcoinlivebets went missing: BetVIP: The owner of Bitcoinlivebets has clearly absconded. This is the problem when dealing with services which are NOT transparent and you have no idea who is running it. Anonymity is great but it's here to protect the users - not the business owners.
Anyone affected by this is welcome to come over and register at https://www.BetVIP.com, we are the only licensed bitcoin sportsbook, and as such there are regulations and systems in place to prevent issues like this. Our management is completely transparent and we have been featured in the Wall Street Journal among others.
Next 20 users to post in this thread today the 16th of July only with their account name at BetVIP.com will receive a 0.01 BTC FREE BET. Place it on odds of greater than 1.5 (or 0.5 excl. stake) - if you win you can withdraw it, no questions asked. We also have our famous 100% sign up bonus up to 1 BTC should you wish to deposit,
Kind regards, Daniel Schwartzkopff Managing Director BetVIP.com

I'm disappointed by the support. It is not hard to give customers an update on the situation. betvip can post daily multiple times about offers on their facebook page but are somehow unable to give support to rightfully worried customers.
What are they gonna have as an excuse when the site maintenance is over for not giving support to the customers.
Spot on......I have sent around 8 emails to support today, the first one was answered with an apology that nothing had been posted on this thread about the situation, plus an assurance that someone would do so straight away, that was 14 hours ago. The other 7 have been ignored. As you say, even if they came back, how the hell can they expect their customers to have any confidence in them? Most will just want to draw their funds out and go elsewhere.

27 hours and counting. Still nobody on this thread telling us what's happening plus no response from support. It's bitcoinlivebets all over again. They stiffed me for a chunk, MT Gox stiffed me and now these people doing the same. Very disillusioned and angry right now. I can't believe there's only a couple of us on this thread being robbed. Shows they couldn't have been doing much business.

They've done a runner with my bitcoin overnight.

Don't bother, they've obviously gone under mate. I can get no response from support, nobody coming on here to update. I've lost 1.67 bitcoin....what have others lost? And the stunning irony of Schwartzkopff, founder of BetVIP, using the term 'fly-by-night operators' You couldn't make it up.

24 hours. They have gone belly up.

22 hours and still nobody from the site has been on here to give us an update!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

BetVIP founder Daniel Schwartzkopff has answered my tweet but surely someone should be on here putting customer's minds at rest.

"...lets wait and pray they will back soon."
Prayer accomplishes absolutely nothing. A primitive and ignorant superstition.
I doubt the guy is on his knees with his hands clasped together.....it's a figure of speech, nothing more. Hardly the place to display your atheism.

It's now beginning to look very grim. 17 hours with no site and no posting of any updates or explanations on here. Am I the only one worried?
In fact there is an update on the site, previously they said " undergoing 1 hour maintenance" but now it changed " undergoing maintenance" (remove the time estimation) But in other side, their poker site is still active as usual. Have you got any replies from their support? I think you're not the only one who worried on this situation, lets wait and pray they will back soon. I got a reply a few hours ago apologising, and was told someone would be on here to elaborate. It hasn't happened still.

Seven hours now....no response here, from their twitter account or from 2 emails to support. Plus I now find out this happened yesterday. Daniel Schwartzkopff, founder of BetVIP, the world’s first licensed bitcoin sportsbook and casino has concluded a management buy-out deal for the company. Schwartzkopff said BetVIP’s aim was to bring “transparency and legitimacy” to a sector that had been “marred with controversy and fly-by-night operators”. A coincidence? I hope so. I have 1.67 bitcoin lodged with them.

This is what has been showing on the site for over 4 hours now and no response to emails to support nor an update put on here so far.
|
|

Any chance of an update on the site system maintenance please? You have been gone a lot longer than the hour that the message currently showing says you will be offline for.

I know I may sound like a cloudbet plant by saying this over and over but I can honestly say that in hundreds of transactions and bets over the last year or so I have never had any trouble whatsoever! They must be doing something right......their banner on my site at www.bitcoinpunter.com gets more sign ups than any other.
|
|
|
I truly do not understand all these complaints. I have been betting with cloudbet on a regular basis for well over a year now and have never had any problems getting bets on, getting credited with winnings and withdrawing.
