Are there any good reasons we can't just use Satoshi's for smaller? mbits are ok ish but only a bandaid solution; some of the suggested alternative nomenclatures are just confusing.
In general people are used to thinking in higher (123,456) rather than lower (BTC0.000123456) orders of magnitude; and people actually like to talk higher orders "I just tipped ten k" vs "I just tipped point zero zero zero zero zero one" (and yes lower order is very prone to mistake). In addition, the Bitcoin system is already programmed in satoshi's so it would just require in some cases different display formatting.

Don't know if there'll be much in the way of expenses, my understanding is FC retained funds for this, but happy to stand corrected.

Yes I was being ironic.
On the bright side, the USA tax news should be good for AM and other mining suppliers, as the cost of rigs and associated expenses will I believe be deductible.

everyone looking forward to divs tonight?

Rock Xie, do you have contingency plans if the Chinese gov't cracks down hard on the sale and proceeds of miners and bitcoin mining?

Great to hear from you Friedcat

Havelock shows a price more representative of panic buying than selling, so no inside info yet, or it was good news The Havelock action seems more like nervous selling into steady hands; we'll see the panic buying after FC's next announcement. The div delay - could it be related to the 0.9.0 Bitcoin Core release?

Are they using blockchain.info? It is down for several hours already. Correct. aha, thanks, silly me ok now any speculation as to where all the coins have come from? Last I checked there were roughly 70BTC yesterday.. looks like a display error: total * 2

I just got word that the next announcement is now expected to be given 'after the first week of March' and that 'everything is still on track'. So don't hold your breath for an announcement today or tomorrow, but I feel that said announcement will be the publication of the final specifications and the details on how to order gen3 chips.
Looking forward to this announcement minerpumpkin, any updates? There might be heavy trading on Havelock, let's hope it's up to the task.

SmiGueL was off by 0.00000002...don't know why anyone would trust his estimates any more.

Is there any way to get notifications when AM solves a block?
There actually is: -Get a free account on blockchain.info -Download their app (it is awesome anyways..and free) -add Asicminers mining adress to your whatchlist. whenever the mined coins are added you ll get a notification on your cell. It is totally free... no SMS needed just internet connection. I did that and whenever my cell says something I get up electrified for news right now cheers all pretty good first post

Where can one get a good synopsis on the merits of investing in AM1 as of today? Is there a financial prospectus available?
Is the exchange capable of and volume of shares sufficient to trade shares in close percentages to the current price or are there wide bid/ask splits in the order book with little volume?
TIA
This might answer a lot of your questions https://www.havelockinvestments.com/fund.php?symbol=AM1. Alternatively try the auctions page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0.
