I'll have Chartbuddy merit everyone back on both posts (up to 200 merits total)
Don't merit back... this kind of merit "trading" is usually frowned upon since merit is supposed to be used for good posts, not to pay someone back. Come to think of it, even voting via merit is kinda sketchy but at least those yes/no posts could arguably be considered "good". Don’t need them back.... thought the yes no is a good idea.... not many More yes needed if the no isn’t merited .... :-) But imo some positive previous history of the thread shouldn’t be ignored but embraced, it’s just a part of the thread Or, you could just let previous history be previous. There is no true right or wrong between our choices.... just some different kind of what we like or don’t like I guess I’m in favor nothing more as just my opinion

So, curious. Why, in your list are some of the price guesses red?
Are these the median, or average guesses?
But good idea
Then I have the next question ... can our names be marked in red? So that no one else comes close to our four) Lol ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) 53,082 ETFbitcoin 53,210 bitmover* 53,333 icopress* 53,458 malevolent* Wanted to highlight there prices to attract as many as possible to join there range I see! I am glad I asked as I did not anticipate that as a possible answer at all. BUT... I have 2 sats to pitch in on this discussion. I think there should be NO RULE limiting ANYONE for picking any price at whatever granularity you choose for the game to employ. Partly because this is actually a strategic aspect. It puts strategic bits into the timing of your selection for example. Being the first to predict in a game has benefits/costs as does waiting until the last moment. I think it makes it fun to see people either be aware of these issues, or not, or as in my case, not care. If you ever DO try to limit close together guesses (if you keep doing these!) I would suggest just making the granularity chunkier. Like saying "to the nearest $10". The only downside is the ability for players to collude to put another player at a disadvantage. For example a miserable BSV shill can pick something like, say, 33,333, and two other players can pick 33,332 and 33,334 thereby limiting the chances he will win significantly. But this is self limiting as you then need TWO people willing to basically throw their vote. It's fun thinking about the theory behind a mic-game! Oh, and thanks again! indeed cAPSLOCK, but there where no limits, he just asked for a red colour, if someone wouldn't pick a spot inbetween its completely own choice, cause from when the game is released and prices are chosen, then NEVER EVER a rule would change cause its dishonest, when the flop is presented, then we can't change a card anymore right, IRL you know all the problems that follow when a misdeal occurs ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Before we had some different games don't remember anymore? with the 25 or 50$ up and down space watch my previous topics, we had some different games with different rules, but for this one and the long time past between this and last game I chose a classic style I was thinking for who guesses the date of new ATH as well, maybe pity I didn't went for that one though...

My tolerance for whining is zero right now so I shut Chartbuddy off. I notice also that the price dropped after I did so so draw your own conclusions.
Not searching for a whine either, but just my opinion in very short = History should be respected, surely history of the biggest thread in BTC history and probably a very famous as important thread... So please let them come bro Though I have one complain... PLEASE let xhomerx10 gear/HAT chartbuddy up and Gogogogo

Thank you for that hint. I added it as a source to avoid problems. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) No problem, ban over something easy to avoid is preferable ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

old, now unprofitable miners being turned off?
I've read about it, but then why aren't they plugged back in after the price went back to 40k levels? There's stories of Mongolia moving their hardware to different places and shifting to green(er) energy.
This could be useful and I've missed it. Thanks. https://twitter.com/Cointelegraph/status/1395293217436884994?s=20LoL

Tbh i'm never in favor for a DIP, though I very obviously understand that they are needed... Have experienced a lot of things last days, weeks, months.... Where do I start? I always like the higher price valuations ... Though I hate selling or nearly never sell (When its needed at the most and still) ^But I think thats how a lot of hodlers think. Now new people all need to be hardened or need to GTFO, cause every single "pleb" "n00b" "friend of a friend" "viewer of the news whom see a massive pump but never hear of BTC before" Etc Etc They are all in for quick and fast gains... Though they get greedy as price only rise and dips minimum so they stick with there investment and feast like nothing can go wrong, these are those people who needs to be shaken to there core... 1 of 10 maybe stay positively involved... Most run away with fear and re enter higher in a next massive UP trent to then again act the same until they sometimes understand after some punishments, maybe a truly fundamental knowing is "this isn't a get rich fast ride" So I have set up a whatss app group for "crypto" only friends of me and two-three other "better hodler" (better not perfect, sometimes a bit of to much alt koolaid, but not the worst, they learned not more as 20% .... btw me I think MAX 2%) But in this group growing fast some family and friends and... Boy the fear that I have seen today, while I provided the TOP best info around BBTC and links from the forum and just best best the best to read articles, security, fundamentals etc (no one there knows i'm active here) But like one of the lads is a car seller as main job (big BMW garage 100+ employees) I think 20-30% bought crypto except one or something they all sold bottom-ish today, also they where fighting kraken to re enter more high prices but couldn't log in etc cause you guys know exchanges and DIPS But with these events I understand why we DIP like this, the trash truly need to be flushed out from the scene to truly have some solid base to build uppon.... I hodled 5 eth for I guy who works for me, last week he finally had an exchange account and ask me to send him today, he was with me on the bottom while asking, hard to get only but when I was he asked me can you also send me in dollars?? He preferred $ Over BTC or his original ETH, though I couldn't and send him the original, but also willing to instant sell the bottom whiteout a second thought... I hope we all agree that these DIPs maybe are truly needed and better fast and hard instead long and slow if I can chose.

... it really does feel different this time, we've never had so much retard money in btc
Fed has printed more than 4 trillion retard money this year alone.Besides Fed there are ECB, BOJ, BOE, SNB and many others printing more trillions. Retard money is everywhere not only in bitcoin. So, you're right. It is different this time. Expect price +50K within 10 days! And +100K by the end of this year! I'm. with you Cheers

... Musk has fucked the pooch, it's gonna take years to dig out of here
... dilution through misdirection into total shit like eth and doge with the extreme musk green conjob FUD has done us in for now
... until the shitcoins die off and Musks fucks off to his next disaster btc needs to consolidate the pretenders out again
... it really does feel different this time, we've never had so much retard money in btc
Retard money will change in solid money

Proudhon is the richest OG here. He just enjoys trolling, no idea why. I didn't know his account is from 2011. Interesting. So he's either a rich troll (go to Twitter!) or sad he wasted it all on pizza or something. It’s one of the curious things .... I would like to know the most on this forum... If you read older posts he’s a normal chap. Would he’s account been sold or anything I don’t know but it’s that or maybe he did that worst trade, he might be the guy from that tweet and complained he sold while bitcoin skyrocketed to 8 bucks.... he might be that or such a guy and salty atm or he’s having fun trolling while holding a big chunk, I could see a weird kind of humor in that last but though I wouldn’t be able doing such a thing cause it ruins people and n00bs etc Believe it I have been hearing a lot today, will write later this evening.... some serious laughs with some newer people, laughing whiteout them hearing it of course it’s pity for them the same time 😬
