Sen. Cruz on the Senate Floor: Washington Bureaucrats Are Trying to Kill Crypto

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UemfbjX1j7o

When Ted Cruz is the adult in the room something is seriously wrong with the situation!

Hey!  He was made in Canada; he's gotta be alright.

Gawd if I was Canadian I'd keep that under my hat! Tongue

Why?

what is wrong with Canada?

Note I am a native New Yorker Born in Queens ,New York City 🌆

But I always liked visiting Montreal in the Summer.

Possibly you should reread my post?

And this is in a nutshell why this country is going to shit, 100 year old children getting voted into office, grade schoolers have more integrity.

Yeah, I understand this, it was like ... a bunch of things Adobe did that protection was weak, like all their previous generation software, particularly Photoshop (which is why everyone seems to have it, or it's always at the top of the list on the pirate bay.)

As for the PDF files themselves, I don't mind the free reader app, and Calibre works too, and I've gotten a whole bunch of them over the years, saved, offline. Books, some are obviously scanned and saved as a PDF instead of 300 jpegs. Others are actually decent texts that were created using Word or some other document word processor and saved/printed to PDF. I figure if I need a hard copy I can always print it, which is why I'm not too fond of epub and mobi. I've ended up converting them to PDF anyway.

If your adamant about using pdfs then at least don't use reader.

Foxit is a great alternative, its defaults protect you from alot of pdf background fuckery.

Hate to break the news to uie poo-ie, Hueristic, but I will.

Someone's gots a do it.

Hence why I specifically cited the fact I consider this (my first {natural}) a "second language". ;P
And it gets worse every year!

The more often this happens the faster we will see adoption.

Fair comment!

I'm just having a break with coffee and a Danish I think called Fika in Sweden, while deciding whether to treat a crop today, with the risk of rain or wait until tomorrow. Your English language skills are excellent.
He have improved so much in fact that I had forgotten he is not a native speaker and only after reading this recalled how bad he was originally.

Well done Arrie, I wish I could become bi-lingual but I'm too stupid to learn another language and after being a native English speaker my entire life still consider this illogical conglomerate of inconstant arbitrarian descriptives a second language.

So, I went back and checked my first posts, I don't think the English in them is bad at all, are you confusing me with someone else?

And thanks.

My early posts.

I remember quit a few times having to reread your posts in the past but can't remember having to do that in recent times.

But I also mostly have scanned this thread just to keep up so that probably has a lot to do with it as well.

Ok, I guess other people are better to judge my English then I am Smiley

 than I am Smiley

Darn, I was going back and forth, but decided on the wrong one.

The most amusing part is literally that was a perfect example of having to go back and reread a post to make sure of what you meant, lol perfect timing!

It's not a "DeFi hack", it's a buggy smart contract that was built on a buggy platform with a buggy programming language.

I've said for a while that they should have used a language that was designed for the domain where the contracts could be mathematically proven. Possibly they should have gone with COBOL or something Cheesy

More like RPG. Smiley

What they're doing is good lawyering: finding loopholes in a contract and using it to their clients' advantage.

Basically the same reason ETC is the original ETH.

So who thinks this centralized shitcoin will Fork the funds again and prove to the world its not immutable once again?

yeah how soon until language in mark twains huckleberry finn is changed to switch to "politically correct" terms in place of what are currently considered offensive terms. being public domain at this point i wonder if they could just do it with no legal repercussions.

They can do it, but everyone already has an "original" copy of the text of that book. They can only make "child friendly" versions (which they will then copyright) and either sell or upload for free.

The original work will always be available out there.

As for me, I prefer my books in PDF format, or anything that I can easily convert into PDF, as I can then save that forever and read it offline, and nothing will change that too. I understand some tech or movement is out there to just use plain .txt files or something.

Not only can pdf's be changed but they can carry viruses.

If you really want to do that you should convert to jpgs.

Additionally, the team promised to “take legal actions” and asked the hackers to return the stolen funds.

Well at least they have a solid contingency plan!!!

I go weekly and still love the movies……

Just like to go out of the house many times ffs corona kept us inside for to damn long already

Though I’m not paying with bitcoin for a ticket

I like to go for movies which are worth the big screen. The problem is other people fucking up the experience. So many benefits watching at home if the big screen isn't required.

I really like to go out to see a great blockbuster with a crowd on a huge screen and rumbling sound system but I find as my home screen is damn huge now and my 7.1 surround rocks my place (I have neighbors streets away that have told me they don't even turn on their radio and just listen to mine at times) I have found myself watching more and more at home and its not just the fact I can pause to go take a piss (which as you get older gets to be a real pain in the fucking ass!!!).

i dont mind working on the XJ Cherokee, its kinda soothing in its simplicity. real switches, real transfer case, real everything. well there is a computer but its pretty limited.

I really miss my 1990 Vanden Plas, they don't make them like they used too. Sad
I've looked a few times for one but one in good condition is rarer than hens teeth, only car I ever had stolen.

thats the xj make i thought you were referring too.[/size]

yeah thats why i clarified with "cherokee" later - all (most?) jeeps have 2 letter codes, XJ is the Cherokee (not the Grand Cherokee thats a different model).

always did want a XJ Jag just because looking over that mile long hood with a V12 under it.. well hell yeah.

but im a 4x4 guy at heart.

edit checked out the vanden plas, classy looking stuff. didnt know the history.

I used to have a jpg of the five different Jags I wanted but can't find it at the moment but I'll never afford the last 2 anyway.

I've had multiple xj6 (only get the vandens) and xjs's in the 90's and got the xj40 right after ford bought Jag as I figured it was the last true Jag there would ever be. That car was a real jewel, they all drive like dreams.

Haha anyone who sold because of this can fuck off and shouldn't have been here in the first place.

WHY sell in an uptrend  Huh a lot of orders must have been triggered there...

To get a handle on this, here's an article highlighting Shelby's story.

Did you read his linked article?
