1QBDLYTDFHHZAABYSKGKPWKLSXZWCCJQBX

Is an all-caps vanity address owned by etotheipi

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=64449.msg809768#msg809768

All caps and no numbers, if a user can achieve this, what's stopping him from making any other address I wonder.
2402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: igot.com problems on: January 30, 2015, 09:57:03 AM
Hi, i created my account on igot 12 days ago. I did steps for level 2 verification. 2 days ago i deposited by online banking $5000 in my igot account. Everything went well until i bought 8 bitcoins with igot credit and then wanted to withdrawal the bitcoins in another wallet because i don't want to keep the bitcoins with them. After 8 hours i still didn't got my bitcoins and i opened a ticket. After another 5 hours i get a message from this "Julie" who said that we need to setup a video call in order to withdrawal my bitcoins. What should i do ? because i don't want to make any video call, they didn't said nothing about a video call or something else when i sign up with them. Cheers

Is this written in their terms and conditions that a buyer has to have a video chat with them?
I haven't traded with them but if it is not mentioned they should make it clear prior the trade, this is the kind of stuff which makes people stop using an exchange.

2405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issues with bitaddress.org on: January 29, 2015, 02:13:14 PM
Thanks for the clarification I downloaded the zip file from github is this safer? would using pywallet be better for generating the private key on a offline computer?

I would recommend that you have a second computer that has all networking/bluetooth devices removed and you run Armory or Electrum on it. Keep a watch-only copy of the wallet on your main PC and keep a backup of the offline wallet on paper in case your offline PC breaks or gets stolen.

That is the best setup IMO from both a security and convenience point.

If you are set on using paper-only wallets, I'd recommend not using something browser based to do it. But no matter what you use, I would recommend downloading it and verifying it's signature with PGP as this will ensure the file hasn't been tampered with by anyone other than the developer.

To do this with bitaddress.org on Linux, download these pages:
https://www.bitaddress.org/bitaddress.org-v2.9.8-SHA256-2c5d16dbcde600147162172090d940fd9646981b7d751d9bddfc5ef383f89308.html
https://www.bitaddress.org/bitaddress.org-v2.9.8-SHA256-2c5d16dbcde600147162172090d940fd9646981b7d751d9bddfc5ef383f89308.html.sig
https://www.bitaddress.org/ninja_bitaddress.org.txt

Open terminal, type:
gpg --recv-keys 63974F5A
gpg --verify bitaddress.org-v2.9.8-SHA256-2c5d16dbcde600147162172090d940fd9646981b7d751d9bddfc5ef383f89308.html.sig

You should get:
gpg: Good signature from "ninja <ninja@bitaddress.org>"
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg:          There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
Primary key fingerprint: 527B 5C82 B1F6 B2DB 72A0  ECBF 8749 7B91 6397 4F5A

This is still a bad idea, as like I said doing cryptography in the browser is hard to do right, it's very easy to make a mistake and when it comes to Bitcoin mistakes are always costly.

This is just brilliant. Thank you so much for this.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taylor Swift Twitter and Instagram Hacked: Private Photos For !Bitcoin! on: January 29, 2015, 01:42:13 PM
Does twitter even have 2fa? I have never seen it. And although I feel sorry for these celebs but they shouldn't be stupid enough to load nudes in Instagram in the first place.

Now, excuse me I have to go search for the... subject of my research... the project.. that I am currently working on  Lips sealed
Yep they have, https://blog.twitter.com/2013/getting-started-with-login-verification/. She denied the claims and I don't believe it would actually be true, they might just be trying to scam you.

Yeah seems like it, found a few pics and they were legit fakes.

2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There really needs to be a MOVEMENT about recent Bitstamp hack! on: January 29, 2015, 01:31:31 PM

you can always send it to the exchange IF NECESSARY

you should NOT use an exchange for storage like a bank

Never leave money in an exchange, go there do the trade and get out. Bitstamp cannot be blamed in this because they paid out to people who got affected and informed everyone about it, after that it was not their fault if users still kept using the hacked addresses.

2410  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Campbx always withholding coins with Cold wallet maintenance. on: January 29, 2015, 05:56:44 AM
People still use CampBX? I thought everyone stopped using them ages ago.

I haven't even heard of this site, what is it like a altcoin exchange or something? And OP if they're not even responding to your tickets, I'd say it doesn't looks like they're gonna send your coins.

2412  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost Bitcoins to mSIGNA?! on: January 29, 2015, 05:30:27 AM
You sent bitcoins to an address in a wallet you haven't set up yet? That sounds impossible. Where did you get the address? All you need is the private key. You can import that into any wallet.

Where do I get the private key?

Every address has a priv key, which is needed to control the funds in that address, don't know how msigna works but you must be having a key for the address you sent those coins to. How much did you sent?
2413  Economy / Gambling / Re: Challenge: What's the best way to win 1 BTC with 1 BTC? on: January 29, 2015, 05:17:50 AM
I think I might know a way but nothing is full proof and I have used it many times to double small amounts like 0.01 -0.05 but I don't wanna share it for free.

How this can be done?

See at the bottom of this page on the left you'll see a button which says "move topic"

2417  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Riddle] Solve to get 0.01 BTC on: January 29, 2015, 04:29:02 AM

You can just move this one there, don't have to make a new one.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I randomly buy into pumpcoins/shitcoins on bittrex ? on: January 29, 2015, 04:20:47 AM
No I don't invest in random shitcoins, I actually started a project where I would buy some coins and put them on off-line wallets but it failed due to a stupid mistake of mine and now I don't bother with any alts for the time being.

Are you from China?
