1421  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any wallets for Windows Phone? on: May 31, 2015, 07:51:51 PM

It's only $5 I would give this a shot if only it has a paper wallet import feature, which I doubt it does. But I can try without buying so I'll see for myself. Thanks Smiley

Tell me more MZ I am lost, will I be able to use that mnemonic elsewhere in some other wallet and use my funds for when the app is not working?? How to do that?

I did took a backup and put it somewhere safe but I have no idea how to extract my keys from it.

They are claiming it is an HD wallet, so yes but I haven't tried it. I will try it and will tell you.

Yes, this is really odd, blockchain.info wallet has no import feature on mobile and also when you use it as block explorer for checking the balance of any address, it doesn't shows the sender's address, not even in Tx.

True. Because of that and some other reasons, I have moved to BlockTrail.com.

What's the best way to import a paper wallet in a windows phone to use it's funds??

I would suggest you to download coinb.in in your phone and whenever you want to spend BTC from paper wallet, open it locally.

Ok, I will wait for you to tell me how to use that backup in another wallet before sending any big funds to it. I don't know much about coinb.in and how it works but I'll try it and report back how it went. Thx Smiley
1422  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain wallet address disappeared, need advice? on: May 31, 2015, 07:40:16 PM
I have had something like this happen to me, I think it's the syncing problem, the address gets generated but doesn't sync with the servers. What happened in my case is that I created a lot of address, one after the another for future use and when I logged back a cpl of days later, I saw that 1 or 2 were missing, thankfully I didn't sends any funds to them.

I hope you get your funds back and you come back here to tell us about it.
1423  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Still using old Electrum on: May 31, 2015, 07:33:14 PM
I am using the latest version now but the really annoying thing I find in it is there is no way to import keys directly, it only shows the sweep function and I don't know if there is a way to do it in console. I don't understand the reason behind removing that feature, it was so useful for when one needs to import paper wallets instantly.
1424  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any wallets for Windows Phone? on: May 31, 2015, 07:10:13 PM
I'm a wp8 sad case too. I looked at copay but the warnings about it being very beta and potentially eating your coins did not inspire me. On checking the store again it seems those warnings have subsided.

There is another paid wallet on there now by Kronolabs but most reviews still mention it being testnet only. As it's paid now it must be a full fat one. The lack of app reviews is pretty shocking.

I don't think I'll bother until an established wallet appears.

The warning is still there in terms and conditions, it needs so much more features, although it is working good as it is but I don't want to send a large amount of funds to it until I figure out how the keys work and will I be able to recover my funds from the back up in an another wallet.

Where can I get more help on copay? It's working fine but even the personal wallet has the address starting from 3 which is odd, there is no way to import keys into it and I want to know what happens if for some reason the app is down, how do one extract the keys out of the back up file which is really long.

You can either backup locally by saving backup plain text code and password or by saving into cloud(depreciated). You can't import address into wallet because you can't recover imported addresses from backup text.

And everytime I spent an input, there is a new address generated and the change is moved to there but does that mean one needs to take backup everytime after spending? Or else how will the new generated address key will get added to backup?

You only need to backup the text once. It is a mnemonic seed. See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Deterministic_wallet

Also, why is it when you open blockchain.info in a mobile broswer there is no option of importing keys??

For some reasons, they have disabled it. Maybe, they haven't got a good UI.

1427  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I require help. I've either been scammed or put my coins into a dead website. on: May 29, 2015, 02:57:32 PM
This is the first time I have heard of this coinmixer, don't know anything about it but if you're telling the truth and you did send money to this site and you haven't received your mixed coins in 5 days, chances are it may very well be a scam site.

Who told you about it? Did you do any research prior to sending that much money to an unknown site?

I really hope I am wrong and that you get your money back but it looks like you were scammed dude.

what do they mean when they say this?

Still in beta mode, Copay was initially developed for BitPay’s internal use

It looks nice though and it is Multisig, will give a shot. Thanks  Smiley

I have tried CoPay in iOS and I liked it except registration part.

Do tell more.

Email registration for a Bitcoin wallet. I hate it. Undecided

Ok but apart from that, is it ok? Does it works like a normal desktop wallet like electrum or are there other things I should know about?

It's not true. Some of us have great stories, pretty stories that take place at lakes with boats and friends and noodle salad. Just no one in this car. But, a lot of people, that's their story. Good times, noodle salad. What makes it so hard is not that you had it bad, but that you're that pissed that so many others had it good.

Can't you deposit btc directly into your payza account and convert it to usd? because AFAIK payza allows bitcoin deposits and you can cash out to your bank ??

Are there any BTCtc wallets compatible for windows phone?

I don't know why you guys like it so much, I tried it earlier too and tried it just now and I always get eaten by the Huge ass bubbles pretty fast.

Don't even last a minute. Embarrassed

If you played it for 10 hours straight like any normal human being you'd understand better.  Grin

Lol my bad.  Cheesy

The cool point is when you achieve to be a huge one, imagine that you can be a huge one and also get money playing
It would be awesome

The problem may be that people would create bots to play and win

Yeah I can see it can be fun once you're big enough to swallow the little ones and make money doing it lol and yeah some people might abuse it with bots.

1438  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best place to bet on horse racing? on: May 28, 2015, 01:16:44 PM
maybe you can try http://bithorse.co i've never even did not know much about bet horse
but it's worth to try

What OP is asking is for a place other than Directbet to bet on actual Horse-races, the ones which involves real Horses and Jockeys.

@OP: I only play at Directbet, I think as others have suggested there might be few sportsbooks which don't deal in BTC but they might offer better odds.

I currently use directbet.eu but they only offer a few racetracks to bet on and there are very few north american tracks to wager on and you only can bet w/p/s. If there are any other sites that offer better horse racing please post names of sites thanks.

Never tried to bet on horse racing, I'm bored.. think I will check it out.

You're going to love it, I started playing it from a week and I am already addicted to it.
1439  Economy / Services / Re: Dr-Bitcoin.com Twitter campaign >> Follow & Retweet on: May 28, 2015, 12:59:00 PM
I have around 300 followers I can follow you and tweet once per day for 0.001 if you want?

Please leave + positive once you have been paid!

And this is considered 'buying trust' and it is not allowed and it might hurt your reputation as you will get -ve repped. Just leave it to others if they trust you enough to leave a feedback or not. And if this is a requirement for the job than I can't do it.

I have also noticed that Horse racing odds were reduced very much, especially for the placement. And earlier they use to remain constant and now every-time I send coins they get lowered and it takes a lot of adjustment to get them confirmed, which wasn't the case earlier.
