2401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I predict stricter regulations for bitcoin and the cryptospace for 2021-2024 on: January 19, 2021, 07:44:49 AM
Personally, Im not a US citizen so I dont really care about stricter regulations.
It will affect other countries if US decides to put strict regulation. More strict regulation means more restriction "free movement" between US and rest of the world. Hence, others might try to avoid anything related to crypto currencies that is associated with the US. Or your governments might also follow the same move.

How can you put tax or put new rules on a virtual object which you can't even control it.
You can't. As long as you aren't involved with fiat currency, there is nothing they can do. But, if you convert them to fiat anytime, you will be subject to a tax. This also involves making purchases through vendors that don't do direct "P2P" transactions. Lets say a site uses coingate to accept bitcoin as payment method. Now when you purchase anything from that site, you pay coingate to convert your coins to fiat and pay the merchant. Hence you have created a taxable event. Laws differ from country to country. Know your laws.
2402  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of your total assets would you rather invest in bitcoin? on: January 19, 2021, 07:37:48 AM
By few more bitcoins being available in the future, you meant that more bitcoins are going to be mined in the future, right? Yeah, that is true but it is not like there is going to be infinite supply. And don't forget, the amount of coins that can be mined are also halved every four years, so the supply is also declined as time passes.
If "you" think this is a bubble, then don't invest. If I were you thinking it is a bubble, i would never invest anything that i wouldn't be able to afford. But, if I were planning for long term investment, then I would invest significant amount since I know in the long run the price will increase. Many medium to large scale companies are also doing this!
2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will the SEC lawsuit against Ripple last? on: January 19, 2021, 07:30:47 AM
If for some reason SEC decides to drop the lawsuit or there is a settlement between them, then yeah, everything might go back to normal. But if SEC decides to go forward with the lawsuit and Ripple tries to fight it back, I am sure it will take months, if not years for the battle to end.
Even if the lawsuit is dropped or they win the lawsuit, the prices might not go back to where it was as people might have already lost confidence on them. So, if you are deciding to go all in before the lawsuit ends hoping that Ripple will win and the price might rise back, think again.
Until further notice probably, who cares anyway? SEC won't be able to f**k XRP up I believe, also XRP is the first top project that SEC will go after, I don't know why people panicked because of SEC, XRP is not a top altcoin project for nothing sake, it's not that weak
Lol.
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reinvest initial investment, or keep profits? on: January 18, 2021, 07:44:46 PM

In the first case, I have secured my initial investment in the long term, so I won't need to worry about it, but it also won't make much more for me.

In the second case, the potential for gains is much higher, but I still risk losing my initial investment. I don't need the money now, but I would feel sorry about it.
For your first case, are you satisfied with your profit? Have you taken enough risk and now want to just reap profits without risking anything? Then go ahead. Take off your initial capital and invest rest of your profits. Choose coins that are well established and forget about them. Check them back after years and enjoy whatever you made!

For your second case, can you afford to lose? If you can, then forget about your "first option" and just invest. In both case, if you invest in well known coins, in the long run you will make profit!
2405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scammers have a hard time with grammar on: January 16, 2021, 02:50:16 PM
Spelled 4rd instead of 4th  Grin Grin Grin

Scammers were top-notch once, what happened?
-snip-

I have seen worse. The thing is, they don't do proof reading. They make build a website real quick. Not one but 10 to 20 of those sites of different themes/service/features at once and then tries to scam unsuspecting users. As far as I know people even sell those programming  codes and designs so that others can also set up their own scam websites.
If you visit a website, find it fishy and see a lot of language errors, then either they aren't native speaker of those site or they are bland scammers.
Those "top notch" scammers that you are talking about still exists. Probably earning peoples trust before screwing them up.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to still make a good return from Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2021, 09:29:02 AM
Okay so I saw bitcoin early days because a competitor site owner briefly offered it as a payment method for their products. I thought this cryptocurrency will never work because it will either 1). get regulated / shut down, or 2). never be accepted by the general populous.

Neither of these happened and finally I bought a diversified holding of £10,000 in 2019 to hedge against future pain. -snip-
1. You can't shutdown something that is decentralized. Can you shutdown p2p torrents? Look how many times the government failed trying to stop piracy through p2p decentralized torrenting. All they can do is regulated the usage of crypto currencies. Strict policies are being imposed which might indirectly make using crypto currencies legally somewhat centralized.

2. Sadly, this is still true. Only few stores and online shops accept crypto currencies but the adoption is expanding faster than people expected!
2407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level then it will hit higher than $100K on: January 16, 2021, 08:39:22 AM
-snip-

If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level than it will hit higher than $100K.
-snip-
How and why? People has been making insane predictions the last few weeks without any solid factual backups. I have seen people making prediction that within few months, if there isn't any resistance, the price will exceed $200k USD. But, based on what? Are they trying to spread fomo among people?
Even the altcoin predictions that you have done over here needs explanation. Lower market cap coins are profitable in what sense? Never heard of Miota and Ark though. Even bitcoin reached $60k, it is going to take more than few months since we are yet to see market corrections. I am hearing about this new regulation coming from FinCEN where we will have to register and declare our private wallets if we want to use exchanges. Not sure how this is going to affect the market.
2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell my bitcoin from 2010 on: January 16, 2021, 07:47:51 AM
Hello
after 12 years i remember i bought bitcoin in 2010
is it possible to sell more than 50,000 bitcoins at once or is it better to sell direct to a private individual like grayscale or microstrategy?
I doubt you would be able to sell 50,000 bitcoins at once! That would be insane for a "normal" user to do this. You will probably trigger a security alarm and your account might get flagged and locked. If you want to use an exchange, maybe contact a reliable exchange first. Let them know how many coins you are going to convert. Give them all the details and ask for suggestions. I am sure they will let you know what sort of documents and other things you might need to prove your ownership and to see if the coins have originated from a legit source with all taxes paid. Again, they probably won't be able to convert all of your 50,000 bitcoins. You might have to contact different exchanges.
2409  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go before the next leg up to 45-50k?? on: January 15, 2021, 09:56:04 PM
Who knows. You might well be waiting for the price to go down to 20,000 USD, but when is that going to happen? What if it never happens? People have been thinking the same way for a very long time. When the price rose to $2,000 back then, people probably waited for the price to drop to $200 (not real, but I am making assumptions). But that never happened. So now they regret. The same might happen to you. You well be waiting for the price to drop to $20,000 USD but that might never happen.  What if the new low of bitcoin is $30,000? Like others said, you don't want to wait for the price to go below $30k USD.
2410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: January 15, 2021, 08:16:15 PM
Due to this lawsuit, the price has fallen significantly. People are now buying at this low price. They believe that if somehow ripple manages to defend themselves, the price of XRP might skyrocket. So they are taking the chances. I would say really risky, but yeah without risk there are no profits.
What if even after defending themselves, "most" people loses confident and the price no longer goes up? Or it might be the opposite, who knows. So, yeah they are risking it to get the maximum profit!
2411  Economy / Gambling / Re: Complete Auto-pilot in Dicebot, Join me and we'll win together on: January 15, 2021, 04:29:08 PM
It is also better to keep that to yourself. If you have managed to market such a bit for yourself, you can become rich with it. Then why share your wealth with other people  Smiley
I believe that the site detects or blocks the player's account when he detect a lot of winning bets so quickly and suspiciously.
So, it's more profitable to sell the script than to use it on your own.

I'm not sure, this is just my opinion, and it doesn't rule out suspicion raised by the other members.

I already told you that I play mainly for fun and not for profit, I would never use these cripts.
If a site blocks a players account because he is "winning" bets, then you shouldn't play on that casino. As long as you are not exploiting any glitch/bug of the casino, they have no right to close your account. They might temporary keep your account on hold, but will be bound to release it. And as far as I am aware, there is no casino that prohibits using scripts. So still makes no sense of him to sell his scripts.
2412  Economy / Speculation / Re: You saw the BTC price WOULD YOU BUY!?............ on: January 15, 2021, 07:43:01 AM
You saw the BTC price this month increase, would you buy it and hold it for a long time? been hesitating when I want to buy  BTC today but before that.
I want to read opinions from you all if it is okay?
Sure, if you can afford now, then buy. As long as you are planning to hold for long term, then go ahead, there is nothing to hesitate. By long term, I mean if you are planning to hold for several years. Look at the charts. The price is increasing on average as years passes. So if you invest now, in the long run, you will make profit. Just don't, if you can't afford loss and thinking of making some quick profit.
So, I heard from one friend that it is a wrong decision when you people buy rising stocks value most likely to go down, is it different from bitcoin? is it right or wrong? I also made research but it's the opposite. Hope to get answers from real users because some websites I read also have comments but I don't trust it, it might be a bot or a scam.
Use your own instinct and your own ability to take decisions. The more you hear from people, the more confused you will be especially when it comes to investing in crypto currencies.
2413  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways to earn some ETH?? on: January 14, 2021, 09:34:11 PM
Hi there Bitcointalk users/members.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows best ways I can earn Ethereum anything at all that can help me earn.

Any help would be appreciated. Smiley
Don't go looking for "free" ethereum. No one is every going to give you free coins. Those that do, actually make you do tasks. Like faucets make you watch advertisement and pay you dusts that won't even cover the transaction fee.
What you can do is:
1. Got a skill? Try selling it. You can start by heading to the service section and offer your service.
2. Try joining various contests that are hosted over here by different platforms.
3. You can start blogging. Write interesting stuffs to generate decent traffic. Once you are have an audience, you can earn from ad revenues. Coinzilla may help you in this case to generate revenue in crypto currencies.

Don't listen to others suggesting you to join bounty programs. Waste of time. 90% of those are scams.
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some important tips about the bitcoin market on: January 14, 2021, 09:26:31 PM
My advice to friends (based on experience)

1.Buy as much as you can
2.Buy on the floor, but do not wait for correction or fall.
3.Do not do anything for the price of tetra and dollars…
4.If it comes down to a short time that you bought at a reasonable price….
5.If it comes down in the long run and stays that you did not lose in the long run, everything will be cheaper than the dollar.
6.Do not act emotionally… Wherever you say to buy or sell… you are more likely to lose

If you have any suggestions, let us all know so we can use this experience.
Thanks Wink

1. As long as you can AFFORD to lose it. If i have $10,000 it doesn't mean I should buy $10,000 worth of bitcoin. I would if I can afford to.
2. Or you could wait for correction or fall. Some events might trigger the price to drop. If you are aware of such events that is about to take place, then wait.
3. Not sure what does this even mean.
4. huh?
5. You are now starting to make no sense.
6. Gibberish.
2415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: January 14, 2021, 09:08:43 PM
You taught him everything, but you forgot to teach him about security :/. That's the first thing he should know before starting to invest or use crypto currencies. And that was stupid of him to "send someone coins" to trade on behalf of him. It's like begging them to scam you. I am sure he was scammed a lot of time even when using fiat currency. Ask him if he thinks fiat currency is shit.
Good thing he realized his mistake and admitted that he was wrong over here. There are people out there who would be stubborn and arrogant after getting scammed. They would keep on blaming crypto currencies.
2416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 14, 2021, 03:57:29 PM
Bitcoin is dumping!! Is this going to a repeat of 2017? Remember what happened in March when covid hit? The second wave is here and btc has been pumping despite that. What do you guys think? $100k still happening this year?
See. You were wrong. I know you didn't say it was going to dump, but you kinda did try to scare other by reminding them what happened in the past years. Fortunately nothing happened. The 2017 didn't repeat and the sharp drop of March didn't happen. The price did drop a for few days, but managed to hold up and is now rising once again.
Make posts like this will just spread fear and doubt in peoples mind. This post might have refrained people from investing when the price dropped to $30k and miss all the opportunities. :/
Yeah, it is risky. But can't afford to risk, don't enter the market!
2417  Economy / Gambling / Re: Complete Auto-pilot in Dicebot, Join me and we'll win together on: January 14, 2021, 07:39:03 AM
Hi All,

I'm here to show you my complete auto-pilot dicebot results. Deposited 0.04 ETH at Jan 1st 2021 and my dicebot code is defying all the odds. My dicebot is running 24/7, so if anyone is interested they can join me and we will win together.

Here's is my current result.
-snip-
How can I benefit if you join me? The answer is simple, I will only charge 5% fee when you want out and you will be the one to shoulder the transaction fee.

PS I will post daily my result to be transparent and provide a gsheet link to someone who wants to join me.

Happy earning everyone.
You probably got luck with your script. In the long run, you WILL lose your money unless you some how managed to  magically beat the house edge which is impossible.
I find it funny because will you sell something that can "defy all odds" and give you profits? Can't you just run the script forever and enjoy free money?
And no one is going  to use your bots. Might be infected, who knows.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap gpu deals in Alibaba on: January 14, 2021, 07:31:33 AM
I saw cheap deals on alibaba. Too cheap actually. Most of the time you have to buy in large numbers but few dealers also offer minimum quantity like 1 or 2 pieces. Are they legit? What if I pay and they scam? Will I get money back from that scammer through alibaba?
It isn't all scam, but depends on who you buy from and if it will actually arrive or not. Like others said, buy from official sellers. You might also get off branded or generic GPUs for sale, but the build quality might be shit. Make sure you read the specs of the cards.
I remember Linus making a video about GPUs ordered from Aliexpress. You should watch it. https://youtu.be/PUIxyLRnzDc
2419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two attempts for $220 million on: January 13, 2021, 07:54:02 PM
This article and news has been circulating for days. Kinda feels like this is spreading negativity around the crypto space. But the comments are damn hilarious. There were people saying they knew this will happen. There were others saying its a ponzie scheme controlled by the "kingpins". They make you lose "passwords" so that you can't access the coins anymore after you paid them to buy bitcoin. One guy even asked why can't they "call bitcoin helpline" for resetting their account. Lmao! Shows how much people are unaware about bitcoin and the technology behind it.
Is this amount reported to anywhere or people are speculation only? I guess there are a lot of early bitcoiners have lost their BTC in such a proceed; either forget the encrypted password or have spoiled their drive, hardware etc. There was another article where I have read it was 1 million.
Speculation. Impossible to accurately find how many lost coins are there. Imagine how many wallets carry dust amount of coins.
2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Debit Card (internationally available) on: January 13, 2021, 07:52:09 PM
Looks like your company does offer virtual credit cards. Why not use them? Or are you just trying to find out what other services are out there. In that case, use google lol.

Nice find, LOL!
However, OP was asking about cards that can be used in ATM; if you know how to do that with virtual cards, please teach us  Wink

If I remember correctly, the site he represents offers plastic cards too. I am sure those cards can be used in ATM for withdrawing cash. I was looking at their trustpilot rating and there were people calling them scams (hidden charges and whatever. Didn't bother reading everything) and others accusing them of posting fake reviews.
I don't know what you mean by "again". After the Wavecrest problem almost all cards had, AdvCash was among the first few to recover. They've started indeed with EU and iirc Russia too, but that was more than one year ago, so they had time to expand. I don't know if they did expand or just didn't update their FAQ, but it's OP problem to find out.
I used to use their cards before like maybe 3/4 years ago and all of a sudden they told me that they were no longer able to provide credit card services and had to empty may card as soon as possible. Almost forgot about them and until one day I received an email from them that they are resuming their service. Logged in and saw that they still don't offer their service to the US and for rest of the world was coming soon.
