1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get in early on certain alts? What's your source.. on: September 23, 2021, 01:16:02 PM
You have to do your own research. Look for coins that are small, but has active development team. Use platforms such as cryptocoins, coingecko or coinmarketcap and select some coins that has small marketcap. Next see which coins might have good potential by learning about them. Then start using google. See what they are up to. Check if people are noticing them or not. Oh, and also learn to differentiate between coins that are being shilled and those that are not being shilled. Only shitcoins get shilled.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as primary currency on: September 22, 2021, 10:21:27 PM
You sure your "company" can pay you in bitcoin? I don't think they would be willing to do so. What you can do is receive your wages/payments as usual. Then invest half (or as much as you can) in bitcoin and keep the rest so you can use it to pay your rents and bills. Don't go all in on bitcoin. It will be really hard for you to pay your rent or other expenditure since I doubt bitcoin is a legal tender in your country. Another reason why accepting bitcoin as a payment is a risk is because of the volatility. What you receive today might end up being half after few days.
1583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Great Thing is about Bitcoin on: September 22, 2021, 10:17:09 PM
Today Morning, One Thing came in my mind. BTC is really an amazing concept not only for the rich people while the for poor also, because no one can control the price of btc. For example, at 2017 -2018 if you are invested in btc then right now you can collect a huge amount to use like in education , in health, in your family or your future plan.
The crypto market is very volatile. If you want to invest in crypto currencies and "not" plan to hold for long term, then only invest whatever you can afford to lose. In short term the market can be a roller-coaster ride. You will never know when the price will  go up or down (like look at the market right now. Two days ago it went down a lot. But right now, it is all recovering). So for a "poor" person, if he can't afford to lose the money, then he shouldn't invest at all. But if they are willing to take a risk, then yeah. Go ahead. Let them do it. Secondly, the price can be manipulated a little. The whales can do that. Even influential person can have some sort of power over the market. But effects are always short term. And as time goes by and more people joins the market, it will be harder for the whales to cause any disturbance.
1584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 22, 2021, 10:04:37 PM
Hello everyone,

I am doing Trading since last 3 to 4 years And in this journey i have seen many updowns(profit and losses), But recently from few weeks i am loosing  my money continuously with the same strategy  i have been using since last 2 years. I don't know what happened to me. So please anyone can guide me through this situation, it will be very helpful for me.

Thank you.
Then stop using that "strategy" you have been using for the past 2 years. It worked before because you either got very lucky, or the strategy was suitable for the market back then. The crypto market is very volatile and keeps on evolving. See what's going wrong with your trades. When you trade, it doesn't mean that you only buy and sell. When trading you should also analyze your own trades. Learn from those mistakes. Try to avoid them in the future.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Our Dear Bitcoin and its price movement. on: September 21, 2021, 09:39:59 PM
What have you noticed lately about the price fluctuation of our dear bitcoin?
Something tells me it is a good time to buy, preferably *stock it* depending
on the trading style you choose, as there has been an impromptu decline in
the rate and monetary value.
Though I'm optimistic that a reversal, upward trend awaits the bitcoin price
and I see it going to a 52-55k upward trend when this happens.
Let's see what it has to offer us in its next movement.
What have I noticed? The same thing that I have been noticing for the past few years. The price is volatile. Once the price starts to go up, it becomes stable for a while and then we see the price fall back (correction). The cycle keeps on repeating. This is nothing new. You don't always have to buy when the price starts to fall. You can buy anytime. You can even buy when the price starts to go up. You don't have to wait for a "reversal". As long as you are planning to hold for a long term and do not sell when the price drops, then you will be fine.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking To Invest $50-$100 In New Projects Any Ideas? on: September 21, 2021, 09:34:26 PM
Well I'm looking for a 1000% gain and I don't think bitcoin will be as to give that type of return in the foreseeable future. At this point it would have to go to close to $500,000 and that seems somewhat unrealistic.
Stop looking for coins that will give you 1000% gain. You will end up losing all your money. You can try investing in one of those shit coins if you don't care about your money. But high chance you will get nothing back.
You are investing a very small amount of money. Why not choose one of the top coins that are actively being used by people and has good development? Keep investing slowly (whatever you can afford) and hold it for long term. You won't regret!
1587  Economy / Gambling / Re: betfair and excluded countries on: September 21, 2021, 09:31:14 PM
I come from a country excluded for betfair. I am irritated by betfair brokers, it's not the same. There is no worthy alternative for them. Why has no one built something similar, based e.g. on BTC? Isn't it a profitable business? Is it worth it to ban an account from an allowed country? I have doubts, most of it is probably a scam, and after some time it can be blocked anyway.
Little confused over here. Did they ban your account after your country was added to the restricted list or was your country already on the restriction list but you somehow found a way to bypass the ban? Casinos cannot provide their services to all countries due to different laws and regulation of different countries. You are from a country where your government won't allow you to play on their casino. So you can't blame the casino over here. You probably got banned because the casino noticed that you are playing from a country where they do not provide their services. You broke their ToS, so they have the right to ban your account.
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador bought more BTCs on: September 20, 2021, 10:34:00 PM
Apparently Bukele bought another "Dip" according to his last tweet, but there's something that I don't get in this move, let me explain.

How could someone consider a 44k resistance a dip?....right now we are in a period of retracement after a big upward move started in July; I wouldn't have been as comfortable as him investing so much money (remember that we are talking about one of the poorest countries in the world) with the probability of a massive bearish crackdown that could take us back to the 29k level.

I know that could be a "long time holder" move, but he has a reputation to defend, with a skeptical and poor population living in awful conditions, so, in my opinion, we have two possible cases:

1) He is a fool and apparently is comfortable with making such a risky move (a long bearish period can still be a possibility).

2) He probably knows (please don't take me as a conspiracy theorist, I'm just trying to imagine) that someone is gonna start another bull run soon, 'cause El Salvador attracted the attention of many big crypto investors, so a confrontation between Bukele and them about this topic is not so unlikely.

Let me know your opinion about this.

1. I don't think he is a fool. He is surrounded by people that knows how the market works. They advise him. I doubt buying bitcoin again was his own doing. He is aware of the risk and willing to take it. If all goes downhill, its going to hit their country hard. But they invested in few hundred bitcoins. So I don't think it will have a long term affect on their country.

2. Everyone knows that if one bull run ends, another one is going to start.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins as collectables in the future on: September 20, 2021, 10:13:46 PM
Like most of you guys, i have tons of shitcoins in my wallets and trying to look at it from the bright site. I was wondering, what if there will be a market for collectable early shitcoins in the far future. I am talking about rare shitcoins that left some mark in the crypto world like most notorious exit scams or hacked coins or biggest pump and dump coins or first meme coins...
I wouldnt be surprised if we see a market for those in 20 years, at least that is how i cheer myself up when i see my wallets Cheesy
Nope. I doubt its going to work. Once a shit coin dies, its never going to go back up. They are also never going to be "future collectibles". There are thousands or millions of dead shit coins on peoples wallet. If the price do go back "because they become rare", one guy or another will eventually recover his wallet and dump all his coins. Dead shit coins have no value. They will never have any in the future. If you are collecting, then just collect. Don't collect with the hope of becoming rich in the future. Also how will you transact with those coins once the network die?
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: G A M B L E R S ❗❗ What are your thoughts on this? on: September 18, 2021, 01:44:37 PM
Those are two different kind of games provided. I would like to play on both "Casino A" and "Casino B" depending on my mood. Playing against the house (Casino A) means you will be getting faster results and most of the games will depend completely on luck. Isn't this what gambling is all about? Being lucky? On other hand, playing against real people (Casino B) would be more fun, but a little slower. It might require a little skill, but the result will also depend mainly on luck. So if you want to play quick games, go for casino A. If you want to be a bit competitive, then casino B would be your choice.
1591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Booming gaming platforms, is it just a moment? on: September 18, 2021, 01:38:41 PM
As we all know, blockchain-based gaming is currently booming.  Not even a few have felt a big income from playing the blockchain-based game.  My personal question is, is it just a momentary phenomenon?  And among the many gaming tokens, which one is worth a long-term investment?  Please friends share your opinion here, hopefully it can add insight.  Especially for those of us who are still beginners in the crypto world
It all sounds like a hype to me. Once the hype is over, we won't be seeing much blockchain gaming trend/development like we are seeing right now. Most of people over here are playing to make money. As more people start joining, the market will become saturated and people won't be able to make as much as they are being able to make right now. People here are investing money right now with the hope of making back even more. As far as I know for most of the games, you can't do anything without any investment.
1592  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a possibility of a Country to ban access to Crypto games? on: September 17, 2021, 11:29:31 PM
If the blockchain gaming platform is a decentralized organization, then there is no way the government can put a ban on it. The only way they can ban it is by banning everyone all around the world that helps run the network which is almost impossible (unless they whole government of the world decides to unite and impose the ban). On other hand, if it is some centralized entity that runs the network, then the government can easily impose a ban and restrict that entity from offering services to their country. In other words, governments can't do shit to a decentralized network.
1593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 17, 2021, 11:25:13 PM
It's joyous to make gains in trading. The problem is how does one control his mind when there is a huge lose
When it comes to any sort of investment, the first rule is to invest only money that you can afford to lose. If you can't afford to lose it, then don't invest. So investors that makes a huge loss doesn't care much about the loss because they were already prepared to lose whatever they have invested. What they do is try to understand what went wrong, accept the fact that they have lost the money, can do nothing about it and then moves on. Some stops trading, while others starts all over again.
1594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is like a losing lottery ticket on: September 17, 2021, 11:21:44 PM
Looks like another bitcoin hate video, so not going to watch it. Very highly likely made by someone who didn't invest when he had the chance to (or sold it for very cheap) and now regrets a lot that he started to make videos against bitcoin so that it might make him feel better. What do you mean by redeemable? By redeem if you mean exchange it for something else, then yes we can do that. By redeem if you mean it is not backed by something, then fiat currency also isn't redeemable. Anyway, stop spreading those shitty videos.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons for being in crypto. on: September 17, 2021, 11:16:42 PM
1. If you are in for the tech, what is the problem your favorite project is solving?

2. If you are for the profit, how are you generating one with the coins in your portfolio?
Lets be honest. Most people over here are for the profit. They are investing in bitcoin and different crypto currencies so that they can make some good profit in the long run. I bet more than half of the people don't even know the coins or tokens are used for. They are just holding it, waiting for the price to go up and then sell it for fiat currency. Like most of them I invest for the profit (but I do know about the coins i have invested in and their use cases).
1596  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about youtube/twitch marketing? Is it ethical? on: September 17, 2021, 11:12:15 PM
We all have seen dozen videos of streamers on twitch/youtube who play with huge amount of money and sometimes win a lot. Overall, the main idea behind these streams is that if you have huge bankroll, then you have a higher chance of win greater amounts of money. This is done in order to attract people with higher bankroll instead of low ones. While I was always saying that adult person is independent in his/her choice and if he/she does anything, it's only his fault, I still look at this marketing like a dirt trick to attract people with bankroll more than they are afford to lose.
They are advertising for a casino. People that are interested in gambling are watching those videos. I don't see anything "unethical" over here. They aren't lying or anything. I mean they are saying, the higher your bankroll, the higher the profit you can make which is somewhat true. Now if someone decides to watch that video and follow those "strategies", then its a choice that he/she has taken. If you think it is unethical, then all sort of advertisement is actually unethical because everything is exaggerated on those advertisements.
Most of the times I have seen youtubers who were using high quality equipment, tech support, etc and had different casino themes on their video but were acting like an actors and were swearing that they were playing with their own money.
Maybe they are actually playing with their own money. All they are trying to do is attract high rollers to join the casino using their affiliate link.
1597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does one start on crypto? on: September 17, 2021, 10:43:27 PM
Hi everyone, I would like to ask a very simple question on how to start on crypto if that is what it is called. The idea for me is in hopes I can just earn here and there mainly to help with monthly expenses. Not looking to invest like 5 figures but more of like 3 to 4 figure ranges to create that monthly recurring for my expenses.
You mean how to start investing in crypto currencies? Buy some from an exchange (either directly from them or p2p). Move them out from the exchange and store it safely in a wallet (hardware wallet for the best security). Make sure you know how to use those wallets like encrypting and keeping backups of the wallet. You shouldn't rely on your investment to help you with monthly expenses. The market is volatile. You might make some profit in a month and the next month you might be in loss. You have to hold them long term to make some good profit. But if you are talking about earning crypto using this forum, then head over to the service section. Open a thread and sell your skills.
1598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understand trading on: September 17, 2021, 10:11:51 PM
What are the most recommended methods that one could use to Understand trading?

Trading has become fairly popular, as it is now accessible to everyone while also increasing one's income. However, a lack of information can be risky because it might result in losses. This is why, before entering the forex market, one should get a thorough understanding of the subject.

The first thing a person should do is gain knowledge about the market and how it works. Gaining through reading articles, contents or just watching shouldn't be the only way. In fact, its better not to do that because you might end up being confused. Secondly, choose a platform and learn about the platform. See what features it has and try to feel comfortable using that platform. Finally, you should start trading. Start small. You will end up taking a lot of wrong moves. Learn from those. Eventually you will get better!
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The greedy must be poor on: September 17, 2021, 04:22:29 PM
Some people refuse to take profits when their coins and tokens are surging so high.
Because greed let people keep on waiting for higher and higher value for there coins and end up selling at dip.
Since price can’t go up all the time.
Maybe you are just being very judgmental over here? They probably don't sell because they haven't reached their profit goals. In this case, they are not being greedy. They are just being determined about their goals. Only those with paper hands are then ones that end up selling during a dip. We can't blame them too. They probably are new and sold because they are unaware about how the market works. In other words, they panicked. I am sure most of the people hold their coins during a dip. If everyone sold, we would be seeing a massive crash when the price starts to dip. That usually doesn't happen.
1600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 16, 2021, 09:24:09 PM
Hey guys! I just wanted to make this post to see whether or not you think that what I do for fun has turned into a problem, let me set the scene.

I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?
If you think it is a problem, then YES, it is a problem! First of all, you are a kid. You shouldn't be gambling. Almost all gambling sites requires you to be be at least 18 years or above to play on their casino. If you get caught, they are going to block you and you are going to lose your funds. Next, go get help. No one over here can help you. Talk to your parents about your addiction. They will know what to do. Before you do that, withdraw all your funds and let that casino/gaming site know that you are underaged and you think you are addicted. They will block your account and will try to make sure you don't access their site again.
