1561  Economy / Economics / Re: E-Naira: CBN to launches Nigeria’s digital currency on: September 28, 2021, 11:16:36 PM
I have heard how Nigeria started to put a ban on crypto currency transactions. Didn't they start to block all bank accounts of users that had dealt or has a transaction associated with crypto currencies? And is this why Nigeria started to ban bitcoin transactions? Just like what China is doing. Bring their own currency. Start banning their competitors.
Sad to see that to be honest. Is E-Naira actually going to be a crypto currency?
1562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin a threat to China? Is China deliberately imposing sanction on BTC on: September 28, 2021, 10:43:56 PM
Obviously they are deliberately imposing sanctions on bitcoin. Look at China. Total control freak nation. They like to control their people. If their people start using bitcoin, the government won't have a chance to bring them under total control. Hence they make up stories like how bitcoin is a scam and a danger to their people. They are also making their own "crypto currency" - digital yuan. Bitcoin is a direct competitor over here. So they are just eliminating competition from their country.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase to Allow US Users to Deposit Paychecks Directly in Crypto. on: September 28, 2021, 06:36:33 PM
Lol, what a joke. Why would anyone want to do that? You get your paychecks ACHed to your accounts directly. Based on how shit coinbase service is and having a huge chance of getting your funds locked and not being able to get any help from their almost non-existential support, why would anyone want to deposit their paychecks in coinbase? Get your payments in your bank. Get your own wallet where you control the private keys and go to an exchange. Buy crypto and keep it safe. It's that simple.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: September 28, 2021, 06:00:16 PM
I have been in lots of argument lately with close friends who keep dragging this subject matter. A friend of mine was of the opinion that an asset is any commodity that has a unit of symbol with monetary value attached to it while a currency has an exchange value that can be used in exchange for commodities. This very friend was of the opinion that bitcoin isn't a currency that its an asset because its value isn't stable and has volatility

Another said bitcoin is both an asset and a currency depending how the user chooses to treat it. He was of the opinion that while bitcoin can be used in exchange for goods and services it can also serve as a store of value where you convert your fiat to a digital asset waiting for it to appreciate.
-snip-
Yeah, it actually depends on how the person chooses to use bitcoin. But based on usability, I think bitcoin "currently" is more suited to be used as an asset (store of value). The transaction speed is low. The fees is sometimes very absurd. We don't want to be waiting for more than 10 minutes just to buy something, do  we? So for now, buy and hold. Once we find a good solution on how to solve the current issues with the network, we can start using it as a regular currency (and enjoy those extra profits we made while holding it!).
1565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: September 25, 2021, 11:24:56 AM
The joy in trading is when the money which is been used to trade is owned by the trader. Normally trading is something that is unpredictable, one can't really know or see the outcome if it will be a big loss, small loss or big win, small win. When money that is been used for trading is owned by the trader if there should be loss he may not too feel about the loss, unlike when the money which was been used for trading is borrowed,  in a case whereby the person do not have good source of income.

I know someone who started how to trade about four months ago. He is a beginner in trading, I don't really know how good he is, but to him he may feel he can always make earnings. I think he was so confident in himself, he had to borrow money for trading which he could not make good profit. As a beginner borrowing money to trade is not the best. It is not even advisable to use all the money one has to trade or invest talk much of to borrow to trade.
Its going to be a very bad idea to borrow money from some to trade or invest in crypto currencies. If you take loans, you will have to keep in mind that you have to pay back with interest. Those interests are going to kill your profits. And then there is a risk of losing everything. The crypto market is very volatile. One wrong move, you will be in financial debt forever. If one cannot afford to invest/trade, then he shouldn't. The rewards he will be getting isn't worth the risk he will be taking. Save money fist and then use those for trading.
1566  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: September 24, 2021, 10:36:36 PM
There is no way you can "understand" the market in advance. All those analysis will just give you a hint about what "might" happen to the market next. Whatever result you get from your analysis might happen or might not. Based on those analysis people take a risk and invest. The other way is to keep yourself updated with current events. Lets say a coin that has been in development will launch something new or add a new feature. This might cause the price to go up since people will start investing hoping for a bull run. Like look at cardano. The price went up a lot in last few months right before the Alonzo upgrade which added smart contract feature to the network.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: September 24, 2021, 09:58:31 PM
Hello everyone, I know 3 cryptocurrency casinos that have advanced settings for automatic bets in the dice game, the casinos I am talking about are Stake, Primedice and Wolf, when I talk about advanced settings I mean that we can configure streaks, change of side and probability of winning, apart from the 3 casinos that I mentioned that have such game configurations in others that only have simple configurations for dice game, a casino that only has simple configurations is BC Game, I would like to know if there is any way to use advanced settings at BC Game or any other casino that does not have advanced settings.

Have you tried CryptoGames? They have advanced auto bet dice bot and has almost everything that you are looking for. You can limit the number of rolls, choose your betting speed, increase/decrease bet size when you win/lose, switch over/under bet after every win/lose, set min/max wager amount and min/max profit/loss. You may like it.
They also recently added a newer version of Dice which has its own autobet.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China trying its best to get hated on: September 24, 2021, 09:52:23 PM
I honestly think that people are starting to get really sick of China's behavior.

What's really amazing is that they don't understand that they are cutting themselves out from a super-growing market, letting all major investor taking all their money to other countries (like the mining exodus happened recently).

Should we really expect a bear market?
I really don't think anyone is getting sick of their behavior. In fact people are now ignoring what China is doing or thinking about bitcoin. How many times are they going to ban bitcoin? They keep on doing the same thing again and again. If China hates bitcoin, then let them hate. It shouldn't bother us. But you should stop creating threads like this as it will only spread FUDs among readers.
1569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 24, 2021, 09:47:49 PM
You probably weren't able to explain it to him properly, or he wasn't listening and trying to understand. He probably read too much random articles that were anti crypto currencies. Or he probably just reads posts shared in facebook and twitter. Hence all he knows about bitcoin is that it is a scam and is manipulated by the rich/creator. If he gives a little effort and tries to understand what bitcoin is and how it works, then I doubt he would have asked you those stupid questions.
1570  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: September 24, 2021, 09:25:44 PM
In other words, don't be dumb. If a random person approaches you and says that he will make you rich, then you know should know its a scam. They will always end up asking you to send them money or do something very shady for them. If you are greedy, you will fall for it and then get scammed. Ask yourself, why would a random person who you never met or know wants to help you? For your money! If any something sounds too good to be true, then you know...
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to invest on cheap promising coins? on: September 24, 2021, 08:26:39 PM
A coin being "cheap" does not mean that it will give you very high returns. If the price of the coin is less than a few cents, you will call it cheap. But if that coin has, lets say 100 billion in supply, then no the coin isn't cheap. You should look at the market capitalization when judging if a coin is cheap or not. If its really cheap and has use cases different from the ones we currently have, then of course its a good coin to invest in. But it looks like you are shilling or advertising your own coin. Just look at your username... Only shitcoins require such shillings.
1572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 24, 2021, 06:36:15 PM
China declares all crypto-related transactions illegal and forbids overseas exchanges from serving its citizens.

The PBOC said all crypto-related transactions are not allowed under the law.
Activities considered illegal cover a range of operations, such as buying and selling virtual assets as a central counterparty, and providing intermediary or pricing services for crypto transactions. It also includes token issuance financing, crypto derivatives transactions, and other activities suspected of illegal sale of tokens.

"Those who carry out related illegal financial activities that constitute a crime shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law,"

China's market regulators and the Ministry of Public Security said cryptocurrency is "disrupting the economic and financial order, breeding illegal and criminal activities such as gambling, illegal fund-raising, fraud, pyramid schemes, and money laundering, and seriously endangering the safety of people's property."

How will this impact Bitcoin and other cryptoprojects?? What do you think guys?

At this point, no one cares at all to be honest. Their ban I doubt would have any affect in the market at all. This was announced few hours ago and we haven't seen any major changes in the price. The Chinese government wants to have full control over their people. Now if their people doesn't care, then we shouldn't too. I mean, if their people were against this ban, they would have already start protesting it. But looks like they are fine with it. Did they really say "endangering the safety of people's property"? Lol. What a joke.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good Time to Buy? on: September 24, 2021, 05:11:30 PM
Hello. All. Now the BTC Crash approx 10 - 15 % while alts also dip approx 10% I mean the whole market feel Bloodbath Today. Is it a good time to buy Alts? or wait for sometime?
It all depends on you. You know best if its a good time for you to buy today or not. Can you afford to invest and lose all your money? If yes, then now is the best time for you to invest. Doesn't matter if the price is at ATH or has dipped, don't wait or you will miss the opportunity like most of the people. Invest and keep holding for long term.
Anyway, since your post, the price has already recovered, but once again today the price started to go back down. This is how much volatile the market is! Think about all these events and you decide if its good time for you to buy or not.
1574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China issue a nationwide ban on cryptocurrency mining, on: September 24, 2021, 11:50:02 AM
Bearish news guys,SHANGHAI, Sept 24 (Reuters) - China intensified a crackdown on cryptocurrency trading on Friday, vowing to root out "illegal" activity in trading of bitcoin and other virtual currencies and issuing a nationwide ban on cryptocurrency mining.

China's State Council, or cabinet, vowed in May to crack down on bitcoin mining and trading as part of efforts to fend off financial risk.
This will surely make the Bitcoin price drop what is your comments about it, is this the Chinese strategy to earn by buying btc from panic sellers or what?
I have been hearing this same shitty news for like few months. How many times are they doing to "ban" mining? I thought they already did this few months ago and all miners moved their business somewhere else better and cheaper. Are the media (or China) still trying to spread FUDs based on this event? No one now really cares what China is doing. They hate bitcoin because they want to introduce their own centralized state crypto currency.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ultimate slot experience on: September 24, 2021, 11:43:37 AM
I have read so many things on slot games, how it is the most popular and easy to play a game which requires little to no skills in playing it. But again from personal experience and development, some players can still manage the way around the slot, can we share experiences?
There is no way "some players can manage the way around the slot". Slots depend completely on luck with no skill. You just have to spin and hope that you can get lucky. Anyone saying that they know a way to beat slots are lying. If the slot itself has flaws, then yeah, you can take advantage of the flaw and beat the slot (and risk yourself of losing all your funds and getting banned. It won't take long for the casino managers to notice the error). Also no slot strategies can give you profit in the long run. One more thing, play slots that uses provably fair mechanism.
1576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 24, 2021, 12:37:14 AM
That's a good thing. So you made them both invest a total of hundred grands? That's a very daring move. I hope you warned them about the market volatility. Show him the charts on how the market price can go up and down within few days or even minutes! And then zoom out the chart and show him how the price in the long run has always increased. This will motivate him to keep holding his coins. I hope you also taught him how to keep his wallets and coins secured. Good thing they made a diverse portfolio (expect BNB).
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit cards and gambling (tabcorp, Australia) on: September 24, 2021, 12:27:01 AM
Why even talk about credit cards when you have crypto currencies to gamble with? The banks were never friendly with fiat casinos. They take every opportunity to ban or block users access to their cards as soon as they see a transaction made to a casino. I know they do it to "protect" their customers, but this was a choice made by their customer. Why is the bank interfering? And this is one of the reason why centralized banks are being hated right now. Use crypto currencies and play in crypto casinos. They are much better and more fair than your traditional online casino.
1578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: feel like never wanting to use crypto again on: September 23, 2021, 10:58:20 PM
to many bad experiences.

and to think that i was about to overthrow the eur and usd in favour of crypto, whenever someone would want to do the same they would have to get throught me first.
What really happened? Care to share your "bad experiences" so we can see where you went wrong? Did you get scammed? Did you lose your coins or your wallet? Did you lose money because you sold when you were at loss? All these can be avoided if you are little careful. Instead of giving up, this of these events as a lesson. Learn from these mistakes and try again.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time to add your bag on: September 23, 2021, 09:37:51 PM
Yep, it was the perfect time to buy. Those who bought few days ago during the huge crash are now already in profit. And those who ended up panic selling are already regretting seeing how the market is now recovering. But it is still not too late. If you can afford to invest, then don't wait for the next dip. Just invest and keep holding until you reach your profit goals. The market has been very volatile since the last all time high. Its risky, but people can take advantage of this volatility.
1580  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: September 23, 2021, 06:36:12 PM
When one first enters the trading game, it is most often challenging to know how to prepare for it. Even if it is an appealing approach to increase profit, it would not be as fruitful as one may imagine without a fundamental understanding of the basics and a few preparations.
How should one prepare before getting into trading?

Prepare yourself to be disappointed. Don't expect to be making huge profit right away. In fact, be ready to lose whatever you are investing for trading (time and money both). This is why, you should start small. Invest small amount. Execute your trades. Make losses (or profits) and learn from those trades. See what mistakes you have been making and how you can improve yourself. And like others said, there is no such thing as strategies that will make profit for you. One more thing. Make sure you are comfortable and familiar with your trading platform.
