2401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 02, 2022, 11:36:07 AM
Base on his recent interview he doesnt have plan to retire yet after his trilogy fight with Canelo and its not surprising because of the good results of his previous fight. Its like he already redeem himself from his loss with Canelo before. Thus if he happens to win on their upcoming trilogy, it is one of a good reason to continue his boxing career since he's still have what it takes to be a great boxer despite of his age.

Interesting that you are saying that he has redeemed himself from the previous loss. Officially, it was a loss. However, most of the neutral observers thought that it was a win for GGG in the first fight and a draw in the second fight. And now coming to retirement, thanks for informing about Golovkin's statement regarding the future of his career after match with Canelo. It makes no sense for him to retire at this point, since he is really in good shape and having a great level of fitness. That may happen by 2024 or 2025 though.

He can decide on his own, if he think he still have a lot to offer, of course he can still continue especially if he wins this fight against Canelo. It should be the biggest fight of his career as it's a trilogy and he can always say no if he win this fight and people will think he was really the better fighter.

Age is just a number maybe for him, but of course, no reason to retire because he is still winning fights.
2402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: August 02, 2022, 11:18:44 AM
martingale requires high patience. and no one can do that.. in the end the casino wins again
true, it requires patience but what martingale's strategy really requires is an extremely huge fund, without it, you'll eventually lose. also, aside from that, online casinos and physical casinos have put a maximum bet rule on their games which further makes the martingale strategy useless.

Absolutely, even if we have unlimited fund then we will fail while doing martingale strategy once we get a long lose streak and we reach the max bet/profit in the casino. There is no strategy that guarantee us to win in gambling, the only thing that make a strategy works is a luck regardless what game we are playing.
As long as there's a house edge, it's hard to win if we are looking for consistency, but if we are lucky, we have to make sure we go all in so we can have a bigger profit. Winning does not happen most of the time in gambling, we are just gamblers, we are not in the position to make money, we spend and casinos are the ones making money, that's very simple.
2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: August 01, 2022, 11:33:45 PM
For the current phase of the market, I will sell gold to invest Bitcoin using a gradual buy strategy to the lowest price because it has high profit opportunities for the future, although Bitcoin investment is high risk compared to gold but I have no doubts about buying during a bear market, I'm sure will see bullrun in the next 1 year or even longer than that.
That actually a practical decision that sometimes we need to sacrifice for something which is better. But for me, I invest in both of them coz I think that gold is a forever asset and also growing while Bitcoin - can't really assure how long it stay in the market but of course, taking this opportunity now is our chance not to miss with. At this present time, Bitcoin is been known and keeps growing which gives desires and a reason that gold investors to sell their gold and switch to Bitcoin.
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATH for ETH on: August 01, 2022, 11:02:06 PM
As all are speculating the merge for ETH, are we gonna see ATH for ETH in the crypto market? Thoughts?
Of course, it was possible but probably not because of the merge, it is Bitcoin does the market uplift bring altcoins including ETH. In fact, this is a common scenario that we have seen even before and never I see any reason/s that could make ETH pumps separately without seeing Bitcoin also.
Yet, this possibly happens after halving, and certainly no doubt about it.

Well, anyways, the market is moving upward, however, that was not yet an indication of the bullish run but at least we know that there is still a big chance to see the market growing.
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 01, 2022, 11:21:54 AM
I believe that bookmakers will give Martinez as a favorite, maybe even put an odd of @1.60 for Martinez to win. be how I'm going to bet on martinez in this fight

Yeah, maybe that will change because Martinez is the champion now.

Their first match, here's the odds.
Quote

Ancajas (33-1-2), who is making his 10th title defense, is the clear odds-on favorite in Las Vegas’ books at -600 while Martinez is at +400.
https://sports.inquirer.net/452679/jerwin-ancajas-makes-weight-ahead-of-title-defense-vs-fernando-martinez

Let's just wait for the betting odds to be available, it's good if Martinez odds is 1.60 only as that's still a good odds for those who believe that Martinez will be declared as the winner once again.
2406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 01, 2022, 10:49:27 AM
Shakur Stevenson does not rule out the possibility that after the fight with Conceicao he will move to the lightweight category, but as he says, everything will depend on how this fight goes and everything will depend on his physical condition.

source: https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-uncertain-if-hell-remain-130-pounds-conceicao-fight--167918

I understand this because he has the best time of his life on lightweight division by being undisputed on his title. Higher division means more risky for him and his career so I doubt he will move division while he can be on same weight class like a king. But there is really a chance that he will moved because there a vacant spot on junior welterweight championship belt that waiting for owner.

The fight that we are anticipating in 135 pounds will be him vs Tank Davis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLEvx82C8To

And he even calls out Davis, so that is a dream match. But in any case, Shakur should do his business here, clean the 130 pounds division first. I think he can beat Cordina and Gutierrez and have all the belts. And then go up one class above at 135 pounds.

Of course, he should, if you want to excite the boxing community, the way to go is to call out the top boxer in that division, and only Tank Davis and Haney are the top names in that division he should also call out Haney, and you are right he should wipe the Junior Division first he can do that because he is the top name in that division he can pressure the other champions and promoters to do that before going up in the Lightweight, if he goes up in the lightweight division it will be one of the most exciting divisions in boxing.

I don't know, Stevenson vs Haney, I think that's not a good match, it will be boring, I would rather watch a Stevenson vs Davis because for sure Davis will dictate the fight and it will not be a boring fight.
2407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: July 31, 2022, 11:35:32 PM
It can be soon legal in your country and accepted by some establishments.
As we can see, many countries are legalizing this which means many people are using this now as a mode of payment. However, it can't be denied that the majority are still considered this as an investment knowing that fact that we can generate huge profits from this. Yes, adoption will take some time, and using Bitcoin to purchase some stuff or bill payment remains an option.
2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 29, 2022, 09:35:29 PM
Even in this case there are not a few players who want to be ruthless in football which makes things like this look normal for the league circles with the emphasis on money rather than honor.
Obviously money is still one of the things that can make people like this because even though this is quite surprising, greed can be blind.
To make more money is the goal and you shouldn't be surprised if many gamblers are trying there best gambling continuously to earn good and of profits. Many good profits in gambling is what makes many gamblers to never quit on gambling and this sometimes do have effect which could be make us addictive.
But this is not the reason why they should have tricked the bettors. It actually must be fair and no manipulation has been used just to keep sports clean. I know it won't damage all sports events but for some reason, our minds can really think about it from time to time and started to doubt the results. This should not be a practice as this will create a negative view of sports gambling.
2409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There will be 1 billion crypto users by 2030 - research on: July 29, 2022, 09:13:24 PM
I think it's still possible for the crypto adoption to properly kick in and for a billion of users to be reached. I'd say that less than 8 years isn't enough for that, though, and current world conditions aren't very favourable for larger development of technologies because the economy isn't doing well. 10 to 20 years- yes, sure. 7.5 years - highly unlikely. And then there's the concern others pointed out, regarding the way the number of users is counted (including the number of current users).
It depends, while I also think that under normal conditions reaching such amount of users is unlikely and it is better if we gave bitcoin decades to reach that number, it is not like it is impossible if the conditions are extraordinary.

I have always thought that if things get really bad and there was inflation out of control a high rate of unemployment and even political stability that will be the trigger for people to actually look for alternatives and as such massive adoption could happen really quickly under that scenario.
Many people just know about Bitcoin and that seems to be an alternative investment for many people, in fact, rich people have been involved already. Yes, just notice that when Covid-19 hits the world, Bitcoin become known globally and started attracting interest to the community making a surge of its adopters, users, and investors. We've been really seeing a huge spike in its demand. And those who are actively participating in online transactions could be somewhat encouraged to use Bitcoin instead of fiat money.
2410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: July 29, 2022, 08:57:28 PM
This 6-week high was not enough to call it Bullrun or an indication of its coming. Not that I say it was too early but the price is not at the level and even if it reaches $30k this quarter or this year, that is still far from the last Bullrun record. Whatever the reason for the current pump and the market remains in bear condition. Can imagine how long we have been like this in a previous bear season, so probably it happens again this time!

The prices wen high and low due to some market influence but that was not enough to say that we are in the full recovery.
2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD or USDT? Which stablecoin is safer? on: July 29, 2022, 02:46:30 PM

Which stablecoin do you suggest for crypto/usd trading?
I usually used USDT in pair with Bitcoin when trading, and even use it for altcoins. I would it was safe to use this base on my experience. But, this never means that it all be the same experience with others, not even to say the use of USDT will assure safety because it all depends on the trader.
What I can just say, it doesn't matter what stablecoin you used in trading as the most important is that you know how to do an exit when the situation turns difficult, stop-loss is really helpful.
2412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 29, 2022, 01:47:42 PM
There's nothing to be sorry for, bitcoin will know to find its own way to rise. bitcoin is not an altcoin which when pumped can no longer return to ATH, we do have to experience a correction in the market so that bitcoin's growth is for the better.

Nothing to be sorry because its just a paper loss and they can recover what possible losses in value if they continue to hold then wait for another bull run to happen, this is always happening on bitcoin especially when there's a halving happening. So what people need to do is to hold if they are trap and cannot afford to cut loss since for sure in future they can recover back or even get a profit once bitcoin price became at excellent state.
Besides, the idea to Buy, Hold, and Sell is really effective. We know that not forever we just keep on holding as there is a time to sell them in order to make a profit. But during this bear season, it was found to be reasonable as selling isn't an ideal response to the market but rather to hold and wait for the recovery. The market won't keep on the downside forever and that is why we don't need to have doubts about holding our assets and no regret happens as certainly we gonna paid off.
2413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading is not for everyone on: July 29, 2022, 01:25:08 PM
agreed, it might seems that future trading is easy, actually it could incur losses if we couldn't manage our emotion, there has been many traders out there that begins with full confidence and ended with massive losses,
I think for average traders, it's better to stick with the normal trading that's the spot trading since it's like basic economy, instead of future trading that requires advanced analyzation.
I'd notice that if you are good at this thing you can't be good at the others. Likely, if you are good at spot trading, you find it difficult in Future trading. This is what I see some people who have been in Spot Trading for many years still stay there and have no plan to step up knowing that they can be outperformed there. Such a wise decision but guess what? That should be the case as simply we can underestimate Future Trading nor it can be easy just like Spot trading.
2414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you think the market will take to recover? on: July 29, 2022, 12:40:18 PM

Recovery is inevitable but dont make yourself that much confident unless you are going for long term.

Indeed. It doesn't matter how long the market recovers as we believe and trust the market, no way we give up and loosen our hands. It is definitely, we can still hold and can wait. For me, I don't even expect this will come this year, not even next year because was clearly impossible despite the thing we know it can be possible but the market situation doesn't look possible.

Halving is gonna be our hope now...but we are about to wait for 2-3 years from now.
2415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 29, 2022, 11:34:48 AM
Great job by the Ginebra kings, that fourth quarter was a big one for them, they come back and win the game.

This time Tenorio was not scoreless, he contributed 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Newsome also this time struggles who only made 8 points.
Now the series is tied with 1-1 score, next game will be very interesting.

Got this one ML @1.75, Ginebra won't go out without a fight so that was a worthy bet as we all know that the Kings will do it all so they live another day. Exciting game on Sunday for that Do-or-Die game so expect a profitable PBA gate on that day.
Congratulations bro, that was a good win, though it's only 1.75 but a win is a win, so see in game 3, are you still betting on the Gin Kings?

Meanwhile, looks like NLEX is getting a huge lead here, let's see if Magnolia will come back.

Looks like we are also going to a Do-or-Die in this series as NLEX lead by 23 points after the first half.

Is anyone interested in betting for Magnolia at this stage for that 8.00 odds? Looks very tempting but I shy away from this one though.
NLEX responded well but the game is still not over, we still have 4th quarter and who knows, Magnolia might have a big run and they'll end the series.

I didn't take that odds though, I just want to enjoy the game.

2417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram? on: July 28, 2022, 11:52:20 PM
I hope OP realized that no crypto signals from telegram could offer you a safe trade and help you reach your goal. You must be aware also that Telegram is commonly used by pump and pump group which is likely will scam you after having your money in exchange for their unreliable signals. Don't think about it OP as you are risking your money with these scammers, you'd rather trust yourself to analyze the market and learn from your experience.

Many crypto signals exist but not for the purpose to help others, they have been created to scam people.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic scam? on: July 28, 2022, 11:23:55 PM
I don't think it's a scam, if it's still traded on the exchange, it's just that getting the trust of its supporters has been difficult since yesterday's incident, maybe for newcomers who don't know the story of Terra, they still have high hopes for this coin.
Until people don't give Terra Luna, it still remains active and traded but, you need to be careful with this project if you heard about their issue in the past day you might be thinking if this remains healthy or if it is going to end. It was not yet called a scam project but that was very close to that situation. Honestly, I do hope they will settle it but as they are doing now, that seems not effective anymore and turn hopeless to regain the trust of major investors.
2419  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: There is a new scam going around on Twitter, WHY THOUGH?!? on: July 28, 2022, 10:51:00 PM
We just have to be very careful on internet, you dont have to trust anybody you meet on social media, scammers  are coming up with new strategy daily just to scam people of their money, never send your wallet private key or your confidential details to anybody and if you are trying to help anybody you meet on the internet, you have to be very careful because the person might be trying to scam you. we all think some tricks all those hackers do use are cheap but lots of people are falling for it.
If we still remain innocent of what happens around us, especially on social media, we are gonna be a target of these scammers. Social media now is a medium mostly used by scammers because they know that it was hard for them to identify if succeed their plan, exit was too easy for them. Well, we know greedy people are actively using Twitter which are mostly been easily fooled by scammers.
If we are into someone who talks about money, we are certainly careful with that person as even though we can assure his/her plan it was important to anticipate rather than regret it.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2022, 12:48:58 PM
The Golden State Warriors have shown some interest in picking up Carmelo Anthony for next season. I’m not sure how well he would fit in, but I’m sure he could do some damage off the bench. I’m thinking it would probably be his last chance to win a championship, so it wouldn’t be a bad option for him. I’d wait to see if Kyrie gets traded to the Lakers and see if I could run that back before anything else though.
Not really bad if the GSW will pick him. Last season IIRC it was him that has been taken almost at the last minute since no team would like to have him but good thing he's saved. I guess I like him to be there because of the thought that he's gonna take the ring with him before his retirement.
Maybe all of us would agree with that matter and the rest, arguable about the whatnots of him being in the dub nation.

Perhaps that what we all wanted to see for Carmelo, win that first ring. So much publicity goes when he join Lebron with the Lakers in hoping that somewhat him and Bron could be a good tandem and could take them as far as the finals, but that didn't happen. But with the Dubs it might be different for Carmelo, the Warriors has a lot of players that wanted to win back to back and maybe Carmelo can be somewhat a factor. So I like him to be pick up by the Warriors at least this season.

Great 2nd team I guess, Carmelo is now healthy, so despite his age, I'm sure he can still drop a decent number playing the system of the Warriors. They will be a fast face team, it could be new for Carmelo but hopefully he will be able to make the right adjustment to fit.

Most likely he will only be in the 2nd team because it's not possible that he will start, Warriors love to play fast pace and with Melo's age, I doubt he will be able to play heavier minutes. Warriors are good in developing players, so we can expect that they will make Melo a better version of him and that he will have the chance to play in the NBA Finals.
