What about the people who have reverted to the native faith? Seems to be quite popular in the Eastern Europe. Mostly a recent phenomenon, with the exception of the Mari of Russia. Some of the Turkic people have also reverted to the native faith. For example, the Chuvash call their native faith Vattisen Yaly. The Mari call theirs Chimari Yula.

Atheism is better than native faith.

I really doubt Russia doesn't spy on all of their people.

Russia do spy on some of the people. Like those who are linked with Islamic extremists organizations and people who receive donations from foreign NGOs. The US spies on all its people. That is the difference between the two.

+1
Agree with that.

Putin's rubbing Obama's nose in it. Publicly he took Crimea, his quiet revolution is slowly taking over the Ukraine, and he now says to the world that he would not do the bad things that Obama has done to his people. Of course, Putin is a snake, but he's a very clever snake.

Perhaps Obama need a few PR managers.

Tanks blocked by local residents.

Any idea bout the location? A large number of MBTs were moving towards the direction of Sloviansk yesterday.

City of Dmitrov, western Donetsk.

your point of view is all mixed up Smiley what are you doing in this forum if you think that everything from the west is the work of CIA? Smiley

Forgot the $5 billion statement from Nuland? BTW... what makes you think that everything from the east is the work of Putin?

OK. Good. Can they now give an award to Wikileaks and Julian Assange?

May be. First they should give it to Snowden.

Damn this has been going on for too long..

lol... It will continue as long as the Western Ukrainians and the Eastern Ukrainians are forced to live in a single nation.

24134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: April 13, 2014, 01:00:37 PM
That is exactly what Putin is going to do. May be we can fix the price at $150 / hectare.

The people of Eastern Ukraine want to join Russia anyway. Then why bother paying billions of USD to the Kiev regime?
24135  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-11] Megaupload founder wants official cryptocurrency on: April 13, 2014, 12:43:29 PM
I never said he was a nice guy, but he doesn't seem especially nefarious either, and I don't see how much he made from Megaupload is an issue (unless you're the USG).

In the lawsuit against him, it was estimated that he made somewhere between $175 million and $250 million from Megaupload.

china and japan are the majority stake holders of USA Cheesy

China is OK... but I don't believe that Japan owns some of the US dept. Japan itself is in deep debt.
24137  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine gold sent to America on: April 12, 2014, 10:26:37 AM
Germany still demands it's gold reserve back (as does France). Germany got some golden bars, that didn't have German seal on them, after Lybian gold got hauled over to US. Chances are, Germany will get more gold "repatriated" in freshly re-cast Ukrainian gold.

Fat chance of getting any of it back. The US will classify it as holocaust repatriation payments and keep it in the federal reserve.

How Russia could strangle the US space program

http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/americas/united-states/140324/nasa-russia-sanctions-rocket-rd-180-atlas-v

Quote
The US relies heavily on Russia to furnish the engines that power rockets that deliver both military and civil payloads into space. This includes GPS systems in cars and cellphones, and even systems that allow ATMs to function. Weather satellites are launched into space via Russian-powered rockets, and military systems such as early missile detection also depend on our friends in Moscow. In addition, since NASA scrapped the space shuttle program in 2011, the US has to rely on Russian Soyuz capsules to get its astronauts to the space station and to bring them back home.

Quote
One of the things Americans may dislike very much indeed is a possible ban on the sale of RD-180 engines to the US under a contract with Russian manufacturer NPO Energomash. The RD-180 powers the Atlas V rocket, the main launch vehicle used to get US military and civil payloads into space.

The West fears Russia is poised to invade Ukraine, but it seems the Kremlin has a bigger conquest in its sights - the Moon. Moscow today set out plans to conquer and colonise space, including a permanent manned moon base. Deputy premier Dmitry Rogozin said: 'We are coming to the moon forever.'

Just curious about how much control Britain has over Turks & Caicos, do they have their own laws or the laws of Britain?

They have their own tax rules. But foreign affairs.etc is controlled by the UK.
