2422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some DEX which may bring Airdrop like Uniswap and 1inch in future! on: September 27, 2021, 03:49:43 AM
Didn't know metamask has a dex swap in operation, I just saw it among the many list of dex with potential future airdrop, this also means anyone who is hoping to get an airdrop from this project has to engage them one after other, between how did the op come to the conclusion that these projects maybe willing to conduct an airdrop in the near future.
He's talking about the instant swap feature on MetaMask. The rumor has been around since months ago and the story changes quite rapidly. From anyone who use the wallet to anyone who swap through MetaMask. I think if there is real airdrop, the method will likely follow what DYDX did. But I doubt it will happen, it's unnecessary for them to drop a token just for the sake of it. Why bother doing it while they can earn revenue as much as possible through dex and swapping fees.
2423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is Antminer S9 pro is still profitable for Bitcoin mining in 2021? on: September 27, 2021, 02:15:09 AM
You should post this on the Bitcoin Mining board instead, it is more appropriate to discuss it there. You mean you want to find other coins which can be mined with an ASIC? Because there is no way to mine "other crypto with another coin with more profit" unless you're talking about staking/liquidity mining etc.
2424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buying new GPUs now and future as ETH POS is on horizon on: September 25, 2021, 05:03:08 AM
If the worst case happen (ETH2.0 is earlier than expected, fees go lower, etc), you can at least find other coins to mine or just sell your GPUs. The price might still be good since who knows when will this shortage get fixed.

If you can't afford to lose your money without making any ROI though, maybe you should think again.

CMIIW.
2426  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [Q&A] Tanya Jawab Seputar Forum Disini/Ask about this forum here! on: September 24, 2021, 02:41:46 AM

2427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of the London hard forks on ethereum on: September 24, 2021, 02:12:22 AM
It's not exactly trying to solve and reduce gas fees, but to improve how the gas is auctioned afaik. The goal is to reduce sudden spikes in fees so you don't have to see a huge swing from 20 to 200 continuously. But it means that if the average price continuously rise then you have to say goodbye to cheap gas price, which I believe is happening right now.
2428  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Pengalaman Meminjam uang di Dunia Crypto on: September 24, 2021, 02:04:57 AM
^
2429  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Mengatasi mining saat mati lampu? on: September 23, 2021, 10:59:25 AM
Kalau komputernya mati ya tentunya perlu dinyalain lagi gan.
2430  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdraw and stop using Binance on: September 23, 2021, 01:48:00 AM
Even if they have that safu mechanism, counting on it to recover your lost funds would be a terrible idea. It's best to assume any exchange doesn't have reliable mechanism when it comes to that and you should never store your money on exchange. That way you'll be less likely to get affected when something terrible happened, as things should be.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER Specifications might be confusing to customers on: September 23, 2021, 12:57:55 AM
NVIDIA is really doing all they can do to milk their customers. Some leakers suggest they do this to prepare the market for the new standard of TDP so they won't complain too much when the next-gen arrives. Hashrate probably won't be that much different but the price might be another story. Assuming RTX40 series launch at the end of next year, no one should buy this.
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there some DEX non custodial to converte BTC, ETH, ADA...? on: September 23, 2021, 12:41:05 AM
Yes there are some dex or platform who provide bridge conversion, mainly those who has a lot of multichain assets like RSK for example. If you can list what assets you're using it will be easier to find which one you can use. I heard Liquality is quite good if you're dealing with ETH and BNB (BSC) quite often. Keep in mind that the fees might be way higher than CEX, mainly because ETH network is such a pain in the ass lately.
2433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Earn While Holding Crypto Assets on: September 23, 2021, 12:26:23 AM
Thats really fearful then! I was studying the staking (with poor success) and was thinking to invest into it. I was roaming through platforms like BNB where they have given multiple options to book the slots and stake the crypto with different APY values. However, I never understood how they gonna give me that fixed % of interest if crypto is going up and down like crazy all the time. I think it's getting difficult these days to stake my money and I would think a lot after reading your security concern about the staking. These are obviously true consequences that can happen and we have also experienced the mega hacks in the past. In that case how they will understand whose money was lost and do they take the responsibility of lost funds? There seems no regulations or compensation rules about it. So yeah staking is also getting poor way of earning the money. Gone the days when it was safe or profitable I guess?
Well there's no way to avoid the risk. You can also "stake" some coins by running a node instead of locking your coins on a smart contract like BNB/Pancake etc. With time it might mature but you should never expect the platform to be completely secure when the APY is high. If volatility is a problem to you then you can also stake or provide liquidity for stable coins on platform like DYDX for example. There was never a "safe day" in staking/lending platforms, you're looking at the wrong place. If you're that afraid then just stake and unstake regularly, but you'll need a lot of money if you want to make some decent profits by staking for a week or so.
2434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can pay highway tolls using Bitcoin on: September 23, 2021, 12:02:44 AM
I think it is understandable if they don't allow or support direct payment with BTC since confirmation might be an issue. But at least you have the option to use your crypto to top-up your balance and use it later. It would be a disaster if they don't do it and users got trouble paying due to lack of confirmation, and instead make Bitcoin/crypto look bad.

I still think these kinds of apps are unnecessary. Why would someone pay their toll in a less convenient way than just using their existing Rs?
Maybe you should double check how the app is going to work btw. It's definitely not perfect and more like another unnecessary gateway to use crypto, but who knows how many will use it.
2435  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Share] Rawat GPU Mining Agar Mudah Dijual Kembali on: September 22, 2021, 03:03:15 AM
2. Saya lihat di gambar GPU itu ada kipasnya, kalau debuan pada kipas, kayak mana supaya kinclong lagi?, mo buka baut bakal hilang segel/garansi, rendam air kena konslet. (tentu makin hening suara kipas makin happy si pembeli)

Ane punya 1660TI tapi thermal pastenya cepet banget nguap, lupa merk apaan. Ga sampe setahun padahal, jadi value buat dijual lagi kayaknya turun.
2436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polygon vs Solana. on: September 22, 2021, 02:47:51 AM
Just keep in mind that if you're asking this with investment in mind, their supply must be counted too. Some of them still has a lot of unlocked supply which might dilute the market and cause some sell pressure. If you decide to buy then make sure to do it after the unlock is finished and make some preparations for the next unlock period. It applies to other tokens too though, not exclusive to Polygon or Solana.
2437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is the influencer on: September 22, 2021, 02:25:04 AM
I think OP is not asking why the last dump happen though. As mentioned above, BTC as the dominant pair makes it very easy to change how other coins move. Unless the BTC dominance goes down or we get stable coin as the main pairing for most coins, it won't change in the near future. That being said, we also see a lot of case where BTC pump but altcoins lose their value (in BTC).
2438  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best free trading Signals telegram channels on: September 22, 2021, 02:03:35 AM
Some might give you "free signal" but as always, there's no free lunch. The channel owner usually buy first and then dump on you. I've seen a lot of P&D disguised as gem calls in the last few months, so better keep your hope low. It is also weird to expect someone to give you ideas on how to make a lot of money for free. Instead of looking for channels like that, you'd be better of finding channels that shares trading books, guides, tips, updates on the market (not signal, just usual info), etc.
2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking To Invest $50-$100 In New Projects Any Ideas? on: September 22, 2021, 01:51:20 AM
If your target is 1000% gain, then low cap coins are probably your best bet, especially if you're not planning to wait years for them to happen. That being said, it is incredibly risky and more often than not, you need a lot of luck. If I can be honest with you, you're probably better off with choosing something random from the top 100-300 coins and then forget it. Your research for low cap coins are probably not worth the time and patience if your goal is that high.

Another alternative would be to focus on top marketcap coins like BTC and do some DCA, and have a lot of patience. Might as well save your $100 and wait until it grows to $1k so you can make a better portfolio.
2440  Economy / Economics / Re: How would the ecosystem change if the fees came back to the user after 1 year? on: September 22, 2021, 01:41:18 AM
I still don't see the problem that you're trying to solve. If there is no problem at all, then it's basically a useless feature. On what basis the user is allowed to earn the fees if they don't provide any support to the network? The network would be very weak and prone to attack if you design it that way. On top of that, no one would support the chain. User should not expect to earn mining fees or something similar if they aren't doing anything.
