What a last over by Shami? He single handedly took the match away from Australia. The catch taken by Virat was excellent and those Yorkers were fast and spot-on. What a competitive warm-up match this was both teams trying their level best to win it. The next one will be between England & Pakistan and hopefully that should be also interesting to watch. |

West Indies are now playing against Scotland. West Indies won the toss and elected to field. Will the West Indies start the World Cup with a defeat like Sri Lanka, or will they easily beat Scotland?
Scotland's players are playing well enough. At the end of 12 overs, they managed to collect 87 runs. Opener George Munsey remained unbeaten on 41 runs. I guess Scotland players will be able to give a target of 140-150. West Indies' batting line-up is strong. If West Indies don't face a batting disaster like Sri Lanka then they won't have any problem winning this match.
Scotland has set a target of 161 runs for Westindies. The way they were going after the WI bowlers before the rain halted the match I thought that they would score more than 170 runs. Now it all depends how well the can bowl to defend the target. |

Anyone watchin the Scotland vs West Indies match? Scotland started amazingly, and got up to 52/0 from 5.3 overs, but then rain interrupted the play. In case the match gets washed out, then West Indies would be mad. They need at least 4 points from 3 matches to qualify to the next round. BTW, the West Indian bowlers looked pathetic, perhaps with the exception of Akeal Hosein. Alzarri Joseph went for 15 runs from his one over, while Kyle Mayers conceded a total of 24 runs from his two. Given the current situation, Scotland will be in an advantage if the match gets shortened.
I was watching the match. Scotland's batsmen were good enough to keep the run rate. West Indies bowlers were looking for wickets and the same makes them go for good shots. West Indies should focus on stop scoring, by the time automatically pressure will rise up going for big shots. This way can go for wickets. Rain is a big problem and surely throughout the tournament rain is gonna make a big change in the team points table. They started well but due to the rain they have lost a momentum. India are batting now 4 runs in 4 overs. But till now they have not lost any wicket India. KL Rahul scored 47 runs in 21 balls in this match looks like he will run very well. Rohit Sharma scored 1 run in 3 balls so far Rohit Sharma in terms of runs There is a lot ahead. If India can play the whole match like this then it will be like 190 runs. Warm-up matches are not important for any team. It is a practice match before the World Cup. So I don't think any team player will perform very seriously in the match. Although Australia won the toss and took the field, the performance of the bowlers was not good. At the end of 7 overs, India scored 75 runs without losing any wickets. If this continues, India will give a target of more than 220 in 20 overs very easily. KL Rahul scored 55 runs off 30 balls and Rohit Sharma scored 14 runs off 11 balls. I am looking forward to seeing Virat Kohli's performance. If he continues his poor performance in this World Cup and is unable to return to form, he will likely be dropped from India's squad after the World Cup. Srilanka can easily win this match. They have been in great form which we saw when they won the Asia cup. I have no doubts that they will dominate today's match. I doubt this match will get completed! Rain is playing a spoil sport. Already the overs have been reduced and now it has again started to rain. I hope such situation doesn't happen in the upcoming T20WC. Australia again had a bad start they have lost 3 wickets for just 30 runs if the match would have continued then I reckon they would have lost more wickets by now. Rain interruption is worse that changes the outcome of the result. It should not disturb the T20 World Cup. Finally the match have come to an end with no result. Butler has been handed with the trophy. This match could've been a win for Australia, if the match got over. As expected this match ended with no result. I thought the final would be India Women vs Pakistan Women, but things changed at the last overs of the match where Pakistan was unable to score 9 runs in 6 balls. Nida Dar contributed good, but she wasn't able to make it a winning match for them. Achini Kulasuriya bowled well at the last over making Srilanka win by 1 run. The only person that has been playing consistently good is Shakib Al Hasan in this series. 173 is a competitive score and I expected Bangladesh to reach 190+ when Shakib was playing. Australia losing on their grounds! This is bad for the Australian side as they are hosting the upcoming T20WC. I seriously underestimated the English bowler. I was expecting England to set a target of 200 runs but eventually they didn't and still they won the match. This match was again a practice game for the Australian side.
