The Saudis had a good skill level, both goals show that, but most importantly I would say that the Saudi coach won the match. The defense offside trap was just brutal against Argentina. It could have easily ended 4 - 0 for Argentina if the Saudi coach was playing in a more standard way.

It was pure stupidity from Argentines. They have some of the most experienced players in the world, and still they fell in to this offside trap. It could have easily backfired on the Saudis, but their opponents were unable to make use of it. If I am not wrong, the odds for the Saudis were something in the vicinity of 21.00-22.00. Those who made a bet on them got a fortune yesterday. I didn't placed a bet, but would have never gone with a Saudi win. At the most, I would have placed a bet for draw. A win for Saudi looked just impossible.

It was not a stupidity but Argentina did not notice it on time because there eager to score. And nobody thought that Saudi Arabia would win that match. I don't even think people betted against Argentina yesterday. And all those people that have bet for Argentina to win the match has lost their money. Argentina really lost gamblers money yesterday. Saying Argentina are not favourite is not true. This is a team that has gone 36 matches unbeaten. They won Brazil among those 36 teams to become the champions of South America. They won the winners of the Euro (Italy).

We might assume that Croatia is a stronger team, but you can't deny that Morocco can do more than that. For me, the definite surprise is again tonight and maybe Morocco has more dreams than Croatia to win it this bet is certainly very interesting if Morocco wins it has a good chance while Croatia @ 2.28 is quite big too and not too small but my heart is small that Luka Modrid can win this match even though I will never underestimate Morocco.

Well your post makes it sound like this was a totally normal game with a totally normal result but in reality this was probably one of the biggest surprises in the whole history of the world cup of football. Argentina is (or was?) one of the favorites to win the title as they usually always are and Saudi Arabia is probably the weakest team of them all together with Qatar. So to see a win of Saudi Arabia was really totally unexpected as even a draw would already have been a huge sensation.
Of course Argentina was also very unlucky because they scored 3 goals that did not count because of offside in the first half alone. Still they should have played better and won this match.

The defeat against Saudi Arabia was an accident. There is no way to say that Argentina played badly in this match. Argentina played very well. But unfortunately they were defeated. They attacked a lot, tried to score. But due to the outstanding performance of Saudi Arabia's defenders and goalkeepers, Argentina were defeated.
But I agree with you that Argentina had some strategic problems. They don't use Messi properly. If Argentina wants to qualify for the next round, they will need to be more tactical and certainly, the defenders will need to play well. Not only that. Mexico and Poland's wins in yesterday's match have created a bigger problem for Argentina. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia won while the other two teams shared the points. That means, Argentina is at the lowest position in the group at this time. Which is negative for them. Their loss in the last match was mainly due to their offside. It might have been good for them if they had been cautious after the first off side. Where do you mean from the previous match?
Actually there is nothing wrong with Argentina's match against Saudi Arabia. It's just that Argentina is not so lucky because its players are very often caught offside when they want to go in to score goals. That is why there were several goals from Argentina that were disallowed by the referee for offside violations, so in general there was nothing wrong with the game played by Argentina even though Messi himself also often came down to help the back line.

Argentina was one of the best teams on paper and many do believe that Argentina could lift the cup but the problem with them is that they have players which are somewhat bit aged and they are unable to keep up with the young legs. The same we saw in their match against Saudi Arab.

Anyways , that match was a biggest defeat for them but still their hope for the world cup is not over yet. They need to win the next two matches and can still qualify for the round of 16.

That's the point Argentina is no doubt the strongest team of FIFA right now and everyone's favourite but yesterday their defense was weak and that's reason for Saudia Arabia 2 goals in 2nd half. Their main focus was on attacking side of the game , Argentina 🇦🇷 possession is 70% and 596 passes that means they were totally stuck with scoring in game that was the reason Saudi Arabia scored goals .

Half Time: Morocco (0) vs Croatia (0)

Both teams played to a goalless draw in the first half. There were several mistakes made by the Moroccan players in the first half which almost led to a goal for Croatia. In the 7th minute the throw-in came loose due to poor control, Kramaric almost made the mistake into a goal.

Then in the 16th minute the chance came from Perisic who almost scored when Hakimi made a wrong pass.
A good opportunity as well as a shoot on target for Croatia in the 45th minute or the last minute of the first half through Modric who took advantage of the rebound ball.


The second half has started, we will see what strategy the two coaches will do after in the first half they have found the weak points of their respective teams.
