2421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 01, 2022, 05:28:14 AM
I think most people wants to conform to the norm and they are wary to challenge those norms and standards. We live in a world where most people live like sheep. There are only a few people that will have the courage to test something "new" and also to push the boundaries of what the society deems to be the standard.

The educational (FIAT) system, still teach the old school financial tools and structures, so we should focus on adding "new" tools and ideas to that system.  Wink
2422  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Do Centralized Exchanges Consider as Taint? on: August 31, 2022, 07:19:48 AM
In my experience, most startup exchanges and relative new exchanges have no serious issues with "Coin tainting" ...because they are simply too focused on building a large user base. (The same goes for KYC requirements at casinos) .... once they reached their target, they suddenly start asking KYC verification and they they start to adhere to strict regulations.

Also, most of the support personal do not even know what you are talking about, they just give you some generic answer that was prepared for them.  Roll Eyes
2423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots and Crash Game version Football. on: August 31, 2022, 06:35:19 AM
I think it is time for someone to be innovative and to redesign the whole "Crash" engine. Most of these casinos are using the same "Crash" engine, with only some slight changes to the graphics (Fire footballs or rockets or charts) and also the color scheme.

Game developers should bring in something "new" ....like team modes, where people go head to head against each other in a P v P scenario. They should also fix some of the bugs... (timeouts on big multipliers) that happens when there are a huge multiplier or the lag issues.  Roll Eyes
2424  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: August 31, 2022, 06:21:22 AM
Stake is definitely making loads of money on this $5,000,000 Birthday race, because the wagering cost to the player are significantly higher than usual. The DICE/LIMBO wagering strategies are costing almost $15 per $1000 wagered at times..... where it usually averaged between $9 to $10 per $1000 wagered.  Roll Eyes

I am experimenting with other strategies that might give some better ratios, but nothing has shown to be less than the above. Looking at the rankings..... people are wagering millions and I doubt that they will profit from that kind of wagering.  Roll Eyes

How many times do you experience those 15$/1000$ wager. I just don't get how the win rate affected by the current tournament volume of participants. Dice is the most effective game to gather wager with less risk. I think that 15$ is already too much loss just to get the bonus on the current event because I saw some user above posting a wager volume above 300K while still gets only 100$ plus as reward. This is not worth it if the intention is just chasing the promotion reward.

Can I know your setup on dice that result with hat ratio?

Well the DICE configuration is 1.0102 Multiplier / 2.00 Roll Over / 98% Win Chance ...... with 1000 x $1 bets. The LIMBO configuration are similar, with a Target Multiplier of 1.01 and a Win Chance of 98.01980198% and also doing 1000 x $1 bets.  Roll Eyes

I do 1000 bets on each to see if Stake are feeding..... and if my losses are above $15 (which happens more than 60% of the time) .. I just stop wagering.

Do you have a configuration that gives better results?
2425  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: August 31, 2022, 05:54:19 AM
I hope they are not cutting down indigenous wood for this? In my country we use firewood, but the wood we are using are from invasive trees. These invasive trees are taking large amounts of water from the ground and they also kill other indigenous trees, because they take their water.  Wink

I guess the wood briquettes industry are making a killing in Europe now.. and also briquettes that are being imported from other countries. (What is cheaper.... Gas or briquettes that are being imported?)
2426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somewhere in Nigeria, Bitcoin's touching lives on: August 31, 2022, 05:40:07 AM
It is not "Bitcoin" that funded this, it was the kindness of the people that are using bitcoins... that funded this project. When projects are funded by people using "Fiat" currencies, people do not rant and rave over the currency that was used, so why should it be different for this project.

We should thank the people who organized this and the people who donated "money" to fund it. Thank you to the generous people in the Bitcoin community who opened their wallets to help to pay for the most precious resource those people need.  Wink
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: August 30, 2022, 06:47:54 AM
If you think about it.... whatever strategy you play does not really have an impact. Your bet result are determined by your client seed and the server seed, so in theory... whatever Slot you are playing, should give you the big win... when that gives you a winning combination.  Roll Eyes

The RTP and variance will just give you the intervals and how much will be paid back to the players.. but in the end, your success or failure are locked up in the two seeds.  Roll Eyes

This thread just help to highlight what people believe and how their game play are influenced by that.  Grin Grin Grin  (Have you seen those people in Brick n mortar casinos rubbing the Slot screens?..... yea we are talking about those believes)

2429  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you felt the impact of inflation so far? on: August 30, 2022, 05:48:21 AM
Nobody can hide from the impact of inflation, no matter if you are rich, middle class or poor. The people suffering the most are the poor and middle class... and you will find with the higher unemployment after the impact of the Covid pandemic... a lot more people moved from the middle class to the poor category.  Roll Eyes

I definitely feel the impact of higher inflation and higher fuel prices....and I have not received an increase in my salary for the last 4 years. (I am just happy to have a job)  Wink
2430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Piooner, Hal Finney and Eight Years Remembrance on: August 30, 2022, 05:34:38 AM
They say he worked right to the end, coding for Bitcoin until he died. What a legend.... and also privileged to be one of the first people to work with Satoshi Nakamoto. (not a lot of people had that privilege)

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) took his body, but it could not take his legacy. A lot of people go out of this world, without making any significant impact on the world, but Hal Finney left it with the knowledge that he improved a lot of people's lives.  Wink

Rest in Peace ... Hal Finney!
2431  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 29, 2022, 11:39:28 AM
With gambling platforms beyond certain point it isn't possible to innovate things. Maybe the interface and the colour schemes can be varied. In that way everything is a copycat. With different games, maybe the providers can vary. With sports betting, the odds can have slight variation. These days the success of the gambling sites were much on the trust it have got and the support and interest the service provider takes in solving an acquisition against the platform. So, even the copycat can succeed if it is able to provide the best service than the Originals.

The thing is... businesses build a brand, for example McDonald's and Wallmart etc... and they even take people to court if they copy their fonts or color in their company name, when they copy it. It is bad for their "Brand" if these copy cat sites misuse their image for their own profits and when they do not give the same level of customer satisfaction as the original company.

When you play at a very popular casino, you get a good experience... because their support is fast or their deposit and withdrawals are fast, but when you get to the copy cat sites... those things might be lacking.... and then you feel cheated. (They look like they are part of a franchise or a group of casinos... so you expect top quality from them)  Roll Eyes
2432  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 29, 2022, 06:47:04 AM
I actually asked "Eddie" from Stake.com during his weekly stream about the "friend" that opened a very similar casino to Stake.com and he said "not that I recall" ....but he also said that they are not too worried about sites copying their concept and that it was actually flattering that other people were doing this. (I guess, if you are printing money like them, you would not mind a lot if people copied you)

There are not a lot of big casino software developers out there, so I figure some people just buy a white label casino template from these guys and they just change the color scheme a little to fire up a new casino.  Roll Eyes
2433  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: preev.net - what it should have and how it should look? on: August 29, 2022, 06:26:36 AM
Nice work brother. The only thing I see is missing: The live update. It does not update the way it used to for preev. It updated only page refresh only.

It just looks bad when we discuss this site and when we saw it online.... and now it's been "offline" for a long time. Cmon, you can do better than this. Are you having technical difficulties with the site... or did you stop the project?
This could be a hosting issue too. If it's just a regular shared hosting then excessive traffic will make the site unavailable. I assume the site should already have good traffic from search engine because people like us always look for preev in their browser. So a good hosting will be needed at the end.

Nah, my apologies.... it was my mistake, because I am so used to typing my own urls... I typed www.preev.net and it should be https://preev.net/     Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I am going to wait until the extra Fiat currencies are added, before I am going to use it more frequently, otherwise I will have to do two calculations to get to the fiat value of the bitcoins I want to calculate.  Wink
2434  Economy / Economics / Re: State Of Corruption In Nigeria Amidst World Corruption on: August 29, 2022, 06:13:21 AM
The government are not leading from the front, so you will find that the corruption will filter through to the general public too. The “Nigerian prince” scam, also known as the “419” scam has gone viral all over the world, but it started in Nigeria.  Roll Eyes

I have worked on contract in Nigeria (Lagos / Ibadan / Benin City) and bribery was part of the challenges that we had to face, when we worked there. This made us part of the problem, because we gave in to the request for money to get things done. (time is money, when you deal with African time)  Roll Eyes
2435  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 29, 2022, 05:57:05 AM
I think the two most shocking points was the "urination" on the chairs.... and that Las Vegas is not the gambling capital of the world. I have had some instances where I visited a casino and I got a whiff of urine ....but I thought it was older people with weak bladders having a accident... but normal people doing that..... no no no!

Also, to think that China of all places...has the biggest casinos... was a bit of an eye opener for me. I think the western world just accepted that Las Vegas was the gambling capital of the world, because most movies are creating that perception.  Roll Eyes
2436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The September effect on: August 29, 2022, 05:43:53 AM
One strange thing someone told me about September was that it was seen as the "Birthday" month for many people, because a lot of babies are conceived during the December holidays when people are in a holiday mood...and 9 months later in September, the babies are born.

So, people have a lot of Birthday parties to arrange and presents to buy, so they have less money to spend on investments in September... compared to other months of the year.  Roll Eyes
2437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Take This 2 Minutes Nine Step Quiz To Access Yourself In Gambling on: August 28, 2022, 06:58:54 PM
It says I am a "Low-Risk Gambler" .... and I agree with it, because I can stop whenever I want to and I do not have a constant urge to gamble. I see gambling as something like entertainment, even if it can be a bit stressful at times.

The Quiz will ask some hard questions ... that some people will lie about... so the outcome might not be the correct result, if people are not honest with the answering of the questions.
2438  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: preev.net - what it should have and how it should look? on: August 28, 2022, 07:41:44 AM
It will help if you can keep the site "online" for a couple of hours during the day, because it has been offline or unavailable for days. If it is still under construction... then you should announce that, when people visit the site.

It just looks bad when we discuss this site and when we saw it online.... and now it's been "offline" for a long time. Cmon, you can do better than this. Are you having technical difficulties with the site... or did you stop the project?
2439  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com 🦵💸 | Crypto's Finest Casino | 0% Commission PvP Dice Duels 🚀 🎰 🔥 on: August 28, 2022, 07:36:46 AM
During Eddie's Stream yesterday... I asked him .."if one of his friends opened a new casino that are almost identical to Stake.com" and he said "NO" .... so I hope you are saying the truth if you are saying you are one of his friends.

The positive things was..... Eddie said, in principle ... that they are not threatened by competitors using their concept or look... and that they are actually flattered by it.  Grin

I like the P v P concept ... so I will support this site, because they have something different. In some of my previous posts I actually advocated for sites to implement P v P .... because it is an unique concept that will draw in a lot of new business.  Wink

2440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you all ignore alternative tech on Bitcoin? on: August 28, 2022, 07:24:31 AM
So, how do you suggest... we stop people from making their own choices?

Everyone is free to create their own coins and also to decide what coins they want to buy. We are interested in the success of Bitcoin and crypto currencies...

A lot of us believe the development of Alt coins can be beneficial to Bitcoin, because it is the breeding ground for innovation. Bitcoin can cannibalize any technology it wants to... so if something groundbreaking are developed by someone else... then Bitcoin can use that too.  Wink
