If you are new to bitcoin Multibit HD for your laptop is more user friendly than Electrum. On your phone the best choices are Mycelium for Android and Breadwallet for iPhone.

Good luck with the auction! I would never part with mine.

Smart move.
How so? Looking at the interest, pretty sure they would have got a lot more with an auction ... unless giving up profits for the taking is a "smart move" for some reason I'm not getting. Maybe, maybe not. You would have to ask Ms. Vranova. Auctions are more complicated, take time and there is a time value to money. There is no auction site that takes payment by bitcoin so Trezor would have to hold an in house auction. They did not choose to do so. I'll ask directly. You said it was a "smart move" not to hold an auction ... why do YOU say that? I say they lost money by not doing so. Smart move because: 1) Immediate income in bitcoin from sale at a price they determined the market would bear. I was surprised they set the price that high. I expected $800 but still bought one. Did you? 2) Avoided hassle of running an auction. Not really interested in arguing the point, why don't you ask Ms. Vranova directly? I have work to get to.

I own both a Case from the first production run and several Trezors. For day to day shopping the Case is faster. Certainly you can use your Trezor with Android phone with OTG cable but you usually would not do that checking out at a store. You would use your Case or Mycelium wallet on phone, and top up Mycelium with Trezor as needed. Trezor works wonderfully with Mycelium by the way. Both Trezor and Case have their uses. If you can only afford one I would go for the Trezor at $99. The Case is a luxury item. For more information I have an in depth article on all hardware wallets (including the new BitLox) that you can read here.

Perhaps they have developed a more efficient miner than S7 using BW chips. On the other hand they might have decided to go private and sell your hash back to you at what they consider a fair price then mine for themselves only.

They obviously decided not to hold an auction and set what they thought was a price the market would bear. Smart move.

No one knows what is going to happen with Ether. It may turn out to be another altcoin pump and dump. To prove it has legs price must increase above the all time high set on March 12. That will catch the attention of traders no doubt. Anyone buying Ether right now is taking a rather large chance they will take a loss. There is no rush to buy, wait until the all time high is taken out then buy on a price pullback. Be smart, copy what the pros do for a living.

Interesting question. Do you or anyone know if it is an ok security practice to use the same Trezor for both BTC and Monero? Try this link. I will check it out myself on a spare Trezor this weekend.

Only ten left should be gone by end of the day.

Will be interesting to see how long those twenty aluminum case Trezors last before selling out.

Hi all,
I'm new to the world of crypto-currency. Ether looks interesting altcoin to me. And I have been browsing for a good ether wallet. Unfortunately there is every little I could find. Is there any secure wallet that you use or recommend? Thanks!

Until recently no Chinese mining pools have used Classic. This has changed as Discus Fish (f2pool) is now mining some Classic blocks: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fbitcoinnewsmagazine.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F06%2Fcorevsclassic.png&t=663&c=c4QD92xCXnIDpg) This is huge. If other Chinese pools follow the lead of Discus Fish Classic could be adopted in a matter of months. It all depends on the remaining Chinese mining pools to make up their minds.

I actually sleep in my dorm which i have an S7 in. Its a batch 4 and i undervolt it to ~500 frequency and i put fan on 35%. The chips run at around 50-53 C...however i think I am used to it by now. Im starting to have second thoughts about a few weeks of the constant fucking noise. On a side note....does anyone know of any hosting for the miners? If so could you please send me some details. Please and thankyou
Please stop that. Do you want hearing damage that will last the rest of your life? The noise will damage your hearing without pain and when you notice you are not hearing as well as you used to it is too late. You could be using hearing aids before you are 25.

Is it still just 512 kByte that has to be divided between bootloader, metadata and firmware?
Yes hm, that's a little lame for a 99$ device. But now I understand why they don't openly mention this. You might find Stellaw blog interesting. He examines and explains firmware and hardware of Trezor.

A coin with no gui id a nooo go. Sry but commando line i dont underst. Who can i store my moneros safetly,?
I feel your pain. You still should run a local Monero node but can use the LightWallet2 GUI. If you are using Windows download Monero client at https://getmonero.org/downloads/ unzip to a folder on your desktop. Run bitmonerod until the blockchain is synched. You will also need to download LightWallet2 at https://getmonero.org/getting-started/choose. Download the LightWallet.exe and put in your Monero folder. While bitmonerod is running in a command console and synced messsage shows start up Lightwallet by clicking on the exe in your Monero folder and follow instructions. Now you have the privacy of a local Monero node with a GUI to send and receive Monero.

Hi all, Looking to purchase Ether soon, and looking for an entry alot lower then current price. We have had a run to the upside and that we did see some heavy divergence at the top indicating that price would drop. From readin the charts and seeing the price action, the prices will be heading lower..so for those wanting to get into Ether should be alittle patiente and wait for it to reach closer to the 6.8-6.3 area Looking to buy around 1200 Ether at the 6.8-6.3 area, if we see some positive divergence before that price then i will def jump into it alot higher. But for now i dont see any signs of showing strenght, it might head up to 12 usd to test that strong resistance but i am pretty sure it will head back Down. Chart: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.tinypic.com%2F2w2kgac.png&t=663&c=ZbAizI3d5Dc07w) At one time bitcoin chart looked like present Ether. Then the all time high was taken out and uptrend continued. Same applies to Ether. Buying now is a novice mistake. You want to wait until the ATH on March 12 is taken out on volume. Forget the buy low and sell high mantra. In the case of Ether you want to buy high and sell higher. Until the ATH is taken out Ether has not proven it has legs and is just one more pump and dump. I like Ether and hope it succeeds. By the way you are better off using ETH/BTC rather than ETH/USD charts for trading. Also volume is higher at Poloniex. Try the charts at cryptowat.ch

IMO the subreddit is full of fanboys with few experienced traders. Waste of time.
