2421  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Three Big Lessons from CZ. on: November 10, 2022, 08:32:43 AM
Lesson for project owners from CZ
1. Never use a token you created as collateral
2. Don't borrow if you run a crypto business.
3. Don't use capital "efficiently". Have a large reserve

Binance has never used BNB for collateral, and we have never taken on debt. .

There's one thing that's wrong with FTX and its FTX token. They've been holding a lot of it and the total market cap of it, is more than from what they're having from their reserve. It means that they've been holding it more than what its market has so if they dump, the entire market cap will be gone from so quick. While in having related to finance and crypto business like exchanges, it's essential for them to start asking money for their operations if they see that they can pay the debt well. This is endangering most of the other services that we may be enticed with and that's why the usage for exchanges is just to trade and exchange there and making us to trust them more like with those % APY offerings.
2422  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] Binance intends to acquire FTX! on: November 10, 2022, 07:04:36 AM
Mission accomplished! FTX is dead! SBF has fallen! It's now time to release some soft and dramatic statements if only to pacify some angry and hurt souls.
Let's say he did really tried to help but he's a businessman and understands that removing a competitor would make his business flourish.

The funny thing here why anyone still believe in Binance until now? CZ is just full of drama, I never trust a person who can't back up his own words with a real action. The reason why I say many people still use Binance is this exchange still on top 1 the biggest volume and popularity.

I think the SAFU that CZ offer on Binance is actually they don't have SAFU, but it's just a reserve money from their profit which actually the main purpose isn't to cover customers losses due to hack.
Although many don't like the so called acting of CZ, we don't know what has happened behind. And for everyone that's using Binance, it's hard to jump off to another ship that we don't know if they'll stay for long just as what's happening for most things this year. That safu thing became popular every after hack that happens to them. It's for sure that they've got a reserve fund that will cover every loss that they'll make if they will be hacked again.
2423  Economy / Gambling / Re: What else should an established crypto casino add? on: November 09, 2022, 11:23:06 PM
You've said it all. Demand for games if you can see that with your actual players because the suggestions that will come from them what matters most.
I think about more accepted cryptocurrencies is a given thing in a casino to give that convenient choice for your players what they're up to play with. A community vote will have its advantage on this one that will include most of your loyal customers.
2424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 05-Nov-22] on: November 09, 2022, 10:18:43 PM
New campaign, Betnomi signature campaign and will start on November 14.

Rates are:
➥ Sr/Hero/Legendary - 0.0001 btc/post (no minimum/max 25 posts).
➥ Avatar campaign - 0.001 btc/week (fixed rate & only by invitation)

The payment is not exactly 40$ for sr member and not 50$ for a hero/legendary member. There is 10 utopia coin for sr member and 15 utopic coins for hero/legendary member. And I think one topic coin is equivalent to 1 USD. If it is 1$ then it should be 50$ in total for an sr member and 65$ in total for hero/legendary member.
There will be the blue asterisk on it and that indicates a legend about being paid with additional altcoin which I think is okay for the rate of $ in bitcoin + the additional token they'll pay.
2425  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 09, 2022, 09:17:55 PM
I think it's wise to invest smartly against 2024, there is high tendency of hitting it big in crypto from next year to 2024.
2024 is the time that the next halving will happen, so, it makes sense that you should look into that because we know how cheap the coins are right now. And then, how massively they could be on that time and most likely after the halving.

I advise you put reasonable capital on bitcoin and few funds in altcoin. Don't sleep on this one. It's a banga!! Let's make this money together.
Even if we tell them to buy bitcoin, they'll look for those altcoins that might go 100x and that's in their minds already. They don't see the stable growth and slowly but surely gain for bitcoin.
2426  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] Binance intends to acquire FTX! on: November 09, 2022, 08:16:41 PM
2) Our teams are working on clearing out the withdrawal backlog as is. This will clear out liquidity crunches; all assets will be covered 1:1. This is one of the main reasons we’ve asked Binance to come in. It may take a bit to settle etc. -- we apologize for that.

To simplify: we are insolvent, we didn't have our customer's money and had to borrow from CZ, In exchange CZ will take over FTX but it will take some time to do the paperwork.
Please have patience, I fucked up.
Yeah, that's how it really is.
It will take time until this mess will be fixed but with some help of Binance, they're now clear and making it look like they've never made a mistake from what they did.
The time they're asking really clicks on the time that they should fix the papers together with Binance. We will see if there will be some next the same scenario that shall happen for other exchanges which might involve Binance again.
2427  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] Binance intends to acquire FTX! on: November 08, 2022, 10:41:35 PM
There are 1-6 Tweets from Sam @SBF_FTX to clarify things on what has happened which included the withdrawals and were posted 6 hours ago. And it as follows with the quotes:

1) Hey all: I have a few announcements to make.

Things have come full circle, and http://FTX.com’s first, and last, investors are the same: we have come to an agreement on a strategic transaction with Binance for http://FTX.com (pending DD etc.).

2) Our teams are working on clearing out the withdrawal backlog as is. This will clear out liquidity crunches; all assets will be covered 1:1. This is one of the main reasons we’ve asked Binance to come in. It may take a bit to settle etc. -- we apologize for that.

3) But the important thing is that customers are protected.

4) A *huge* thank you to CZ, Binance, and all of our supporters. This is a user-centric development that benefits the entire industry. CZ has done, and will continue to do, an incredible job of building out the global crypto ecosystem, and creating a freer economic world.

5) I know that there have been rumors in media of conflict between our two exchanges, however Binance has shown time and again that they are committed to a more decentralized global economy while working to improve industry relations with regulators. We are in the best of hands.

6) (Note that http://FTX.us and http://Binance.us–two separate companies–are not currently impacted by this.  http://FTX.us’s withdrawals are and have been live, is fully backed 1:1, and operating normally.)

Again exchanges prove to be the weakest point of bitcoin. We had exchanges that got hacked (mt.gox), Scammed and stole (btc-e, quadriga), got shut down by the government like the exchanges in China, now FTX got insolvent and had to be sold to binance to avoid bankruptcy...

Every time this happens there's a widespread panic even when people know they shouldn't hold money on centralized exchanges.

Not your keys, not your bitcoins!
I agree that it all lies to this. Whenever there are dramas like these from exchanges and also hacks, the market plunges and reacts so fast. It's always the best not to trust them with your bitcoins there.
2428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin really crashing on: November 08, 2022, 09:29:34 PM
It's all because of the FTX and Binance drama and that's why the market has been moved, well, these two knows really how to play the market. Or it is that CZ really knows how to manipulate the market and go within on his favor.
Don't be surprised with such moves in the market that makes bitcoin decrease in a day and you think that it's all a crash. It's moving from that range and it's not an unusual thing that it goes back a few thousands after it has made $21k. Now, we just have to wait for it again to get back there and try to break $22k.
2429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | on: November 08, 2022, 08:32:39 PM
Hi Duelbits, I just want to bring up something to you when I've tried to search for your Twitter account through Google. This ad has appeared and it seems a different domain extension.
Code:
www.duelbits.cc
Searching to get websites, social media accounts with search engines is risky as well as searching for applications in app stores especially in Google Play. Google search and Google Play are bad to restrict phishing sites and fake applications in their search results.

The one you shared is a good warning and example by using search engine.
Yeah, it's risky and I just did it accidentally when I'm looking for their Twitter account because I want to see something from their update and luckily, I've ended up to see that ".cc" version.

But the thing is, they're using Duelbits name wrongly and they're promoting other websites and those domains are also different. It could be harmful for someone who knows Duelbits but searches it on through google and may land into this false advertised website.
From their perspective they are using it to convert Duelbit's users to their affiliate site. It's their goal. In this kind of black-hat CPA marketing, most of the time users close the site but before closing they already clicked the affiliate link which means the browser stored the cookie information for few months (3 to 6 months are standard as far as I know). When the user register to the site using the same browser that the affiliate guy was promoting between the duration, he eventually get that newly registered user as his referral. So in a way, the marketing works.
That's interesting, so this is sort of marketing thingy that these makers are doing. They're attaching to a known casino for them to get those clicks that might be really customers of those or those that are interested to know more about that casino. Anyway, I hope that duelbits won't allow this or the owner of it shuts it down when he's done.
2430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto exchange wars going on... FTX vs Binance on: November 08, 2022, 12:58:23 PM
The FTT $22 peg just broke and all hell's gone lose.
And it's down to $15 a few hours ago but $17 now.

nice I would love to see them drop 100 million or more fuck them.

I am sitting with a pile of cash on coinbase but do not see many bargains on the major coins .

LTC
Dog
BTC

all are solid enough .
I've got a few stable coins prepared to buy some and I already did purchased the first batch of it just like a random purchase. Just like you, I don't see many bargain yet and this could still go on further. Most traders are active now and tuning in for this opportunity as of the moment. I might not catch the lowest for other coins as a collateral of this incident but hopefully to pick a lot during its shown dip.
2431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you expect something positive with Litecoin after its Halving ? on: November 08, 2022, 09:57:08 AM
As we know Litecoin Halving is near so I want to your opinions about it, what are your estimates about the progress of Litecoin after halving, Will LTC be in the same state as it's currently or can we see massive growth in its progress? Please do share your thoughts. Thanks
I can still remember the last time that it had its halving and just as what mostly have thought during that time, there's barely effect on it. That's why if it's scheduled again for its next halving, I don't think that there will ever be significant effect on it.
What the market is waiting for is the next halving not for LTC but for BTC and we all know how it will impact majority of the crypto in the market.
So basing the past halving for LTC, that's my thought about it but I still like it and would love to have it on my list to have more again.
2432  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto raffle game idea | feedback required on: November 07, 2022, 09:45:45 AM
You can adjust the percentage depending on how much will be the pool collected on that raffle game. I think it's good to start with some dry run and like having people to have some incentives like having some free spins after joining that $1. Although it's kind of too much to ask but it's up to you, that's sort of idea is what I think because it should really take the attention of many for you to have that much expectation based on the percentage and cut that you've given as an example.
2433  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: iPlayCrypto - All you need to know for playing with crypto on: November 07, 2022, 08:20:30 AM
I randomly checked some blogs and fell to this one: https://iplaycrypto.com/crypto-casinos-for-whales/
Though this is just a minor thing and I just noticed the wrong spelling about satoshidice which has been said in the article as sotashidice.

Online Casinos have a rich culture within the crypto world. They've been popular since SotashiDice rolled out back in 2012 and brought a new value to what users could do with their cryptocurrencies.

2435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum deposit and minimum withdrawal. on: November 06, 2022, 11:45:17 PM
The minimum withdrawal is also a very handy feature, I think that many pay attention to it.
Many does. Because whatever is the minimum amount, it is what's the most affordable for most depositors and players and that's why it's also getting more people to try it when they've got an affordable minimum withdrawal amount.
Aside from that, one to contest is also deposit and if both clicks, it's convenient for most of the gamblers that don't spend a lot with their gambling activities and they can come handy anytime on them if they wish to.
2436  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 06, 2022, 10:51:20 PM
Go into an interview without fixing yourself and let's see what will be their first impression. Actually, first impression lasts and that's why you need to be at your best whether it's an interview or a business meeting.
It's important how you look and your appearance matters a lot to them because it is your asset and it can be considered that you can face people seriously with the attire that you wear.

Especially if you have no idea about the people you are going to meet.
So dress accordingly, because you'll never know what you're going into.
You can start wearing clothes that are more comfortable to you when you already know these people.
But I do agree, first meeting will give them first impression. You need to create a great one.
Yeah, they can judge and belittle you based on your outfit and might not take you seriously. That's why even if you're not good at it, try to be the better one in dressing yourself.
Be presentable and be at your best outfit, ask your wife, mom or any person that's good at dressing and ask their opinion on how you look like with those choices you've got so you get their suggestions.

2438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CZ decided to dump all there FTT tokens on: November 06, 2022, 08:34:16 PM
The speculations board is for bitcoin speculation and this topic goes to the Altcoin Discussion. FTX token has dumped $2 already and there's one tweet and maybe that woman Caroline is from FTX too that said and replied that they're willing to buy all of those FTT that CZ has @ $22 each.
That's really going to give them some hard time to see its value go down because we know how influential CZ is and even without him announcing it, that's a lot of money in FTT that they'll dump into batches.
2439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it cheaper to send Bitcoin or Ethereum directly? on: November 05, 2022, 11:38:49 PM
I used to transact these days with bitcoin by just putting a 1-3sat of fee as it quicker to transfer these days.
While for Ethereum, obviously the fees are volatile and most of the times, they are not really cheap at all.
Buy it all dependa to the wallet that you use, there are the wallets that usually put it into priority fee as suggested by them.
2440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of the Roulette Game on: November 05, 2022, 09:24:04 PM
I've learned Blaise Pascal during my school days and I didn't know that he's got also the history of making this game, roulette. And even until now, we're playing the game that he has invented.
Yeah, it's sort of different today because it's been reinvented but OGs don't forget where it all started and who's the one to credit for his work. You made me read again a few things about Blaise Pascal and damn, he's got a lot of titles and achievements.
Same. After reading the above, the name seem to be familiar to me and I don't know if when or where did I heard it but maybe it was also in school days like you because in school we are always introduced to the famous personalities and if what are their contributions but they never talk about gambling there I think teachers are only avoiding it as they know that it can cause curiousness to their students.

Not only roulette games but all gambling games have always been reinvented. They make it look modernized to appeal the players more. If in roulette they add the number zero. In poker history thread that I read last time, I found out that the number of cards where increased dramatically. Pretty interesting though.
I'm sure that it was during the school days but I can't vividly remember if that's during elementary or high school days. Anyway, it's true that many gambling games have been reinvented and that's okay.
Because usually, when there's some catch or has to change for its way of playing to add some excitement. Those that have adopted it adds more flavor to make it more interesting and that's very essential.
