It will be possible to store mp3 files?
If you are an artist, you can sell your songs through Opus platform and have right to decide how much listeners must pay to buy it.

so thats in the artists side, but what if you are only a song lover and you have so many songs. i want to bump his question too. im a bit curious too if we can store mp3 files to the platform.
Here in the whitepaper, maybe can answer your question :
3.4.3. Uploading tracks
The Opus foundation’s core uploader will provide an interface between the IPFS and EVM. Uploading tracks can also be achieved through any third-party uploader that follows UMRN formatting and the Opus encryption algorithm. Uploads that don’t follow the correct standard will result in music tracks unable to be played and purchased by other third-party Opus players, thus reducing their potential market.

What if a third-party uploader does not follow the correct format?

Track uploads are guided by economic game theory. It costs a tiny fraction of OPTs (Opus tokens) to register tracks to the UMRN. If a third-party uploader does not upload according to specification, other players will not recognize the track, and sales from that particular uploader will be reduced. Since artists want to have a broad reach, they will upload tracks in the correct format and correct metadata to access the biggest market.

waiting for the start of the presale..  Smiley by the way, how long will be the phase 1? hours? days?

While the hardcap is specified, 20 MM, what is the softcap ? While 1900 ETH is a nice amount, it's only $415k which might not be enough.
We dont have soft cap, Opus team will keep developing the platform no matter what.

Can somebody explain me main differences between opus and audiocoin?
I can say that Audiocoin only focuses on making altcoin for music-related platform (aurovine and maybe other websites) and Opus focuses on building platform in music-sharing industry for artists to be able to monetize their work.

2449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: July 23, 2017, 05:15:20 AM
People hold doge for fun, not for profit. The total supply is too big, that what makes the price is very low. That supply and price made doge to be almost impossible to be pumped and dumped that's why the price is stable. Even doge has stable price, fast transaction with low fees, it has no future unless the developer make some strategies. only my opinion!

The crowdsale starts in two days with a max cap of 100K ETH, correct?
Yepp, there are 3 phases for crowdsale and the first phase is Angel Funders that will start around July 24th. Maximum cap around 100k ETH at the end of last phase.

I think that's clever. So you keep one song or key ? Pay for the key then you own the song so you charge as you wish ?
The charges will be in Opus coins ?
Opus token (OPT) is used by listener to purchase decryption keys (songs) and the price is made by the artist itself. The tokens also can be used by artist to promote their songs indirectly through the artist bounty. Feel free to read FAQ here : http://opus-foundation.org/faq.html
2456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ♬♬♬ [BOUNTY CAMPAIGN] Opus - Decentralized Music Sharing Platform ♬♬♬ on: July 21, 2017, 04:44:38 AM
is that bounty pool of 15M tokens fixed? no matter what will be the amount to raise by the opus management?

Yes sir, it is fixed 15M Opus Tokens, all of which came from the Marketing & Promotions allocation.

wow! if thats the case the bounty pool is sooo cool.. by the way, what is your soft cap?
There no soft cap, our cap is only 900M sold tokens. It's no matter we raised, the team will keep developing the project.

How will be establishing price for track? Will be same price for all of them or will be registered by artist?
The price for every track is up to artists theirself. They have right to decide its price.

Price for track on platform be in OPT or will be used fiat money? I means if i want to buy a track first of all i need buy opt or i may pay in usd?
The price for every track will be in OPT, however the team will integrate payment processor before mainstream release.

How will an artist apply his/her song in the library? Is it going to be free?
Do you mean to sell their song? Once they purchased the decryption keys, yeah it's free and they have right to decide the price of their song.

This night, due to zero-day exploit in Parity wallet, several multisig wallets were hacked and all ETH in them was stolen. The question to devs about the Opus crowdsale: are you affected? Or I can safely invest into your crowdsale?
Since we are not using parity, I can say we are safe. We're keeping close attention to updates on security matters, will definitely respond to any potential threat.

Hey campaign manager , could your clarify the personal text. From bounty page here  its Opus, Music Decentralized 7/14, but from the bounty thread its Opus, Music Decentralized 7/22 and its way over a week and I thought it changed  but I guess there is some confusion.

Yepp, sorry for that. The bounty campaign written here might be not updated. This thread is actually for ANN, not for bounty campaihn. Please follow the bounty campaign thread on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2011082

Only Bounty Writing posts here ? I was hoping to get more info about this project
Do you mean signature campaign? Yeah! What info do you hope to get? Also kindly to get in touch with the team by joining our Slack channel.
