As I don't have any stake, but I also love this coin, I want to buy some of them. The price is too high for me. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) I've lowered the price a bit. Please post what you would like to pay or pm me. This is all subjective now since there is no exchange, so let's work together to establish some sort of market rate.

Since there is no exchange yet that does COMM/BTC trades, and it may take some time before some exchange does, I was thinking why not open a trading thread for CommunityCoin and do some market making.

the proper response is: "Shut up and get back in the kitchen."

Who says DOGE can't be renamed? It's happened before. If the name is really the problem then it isn't much of one.
What a preposterous idea to rename DOGE! Unless it's renamed to Doggy, I disagree with the idea of renaming ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

My prediction is igorr will disappear when bitcoin has started its ascent somewhere at the end of summer, and then re-appears under a different nickname when bitcoin declines in the similar manner in 2015 to spread more FUD.

Bitcoin is easier to trade than forex, because there is a predictable supply of bitcoin. On forex it's totally unpredictable how much fiat CBs will print, on forex you lose with almost 100% certainty.

why is this anymore a potential low than $800, $700, $600 or $500 was?
let's see... because it's lower than those before? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Are there plans to base Myriadcoin on the latest bitcoin codebase any time soon? Particularly I am interested in the Coin Control feature, it's so convenient, that it's strange that new coins don't have it by default.

501-550 range, ok, let's make it $525.
hm, bitcoin price action so violent, you wait that it declines slowly, but it's sudden, note to one self for the future predictions.

MSC and others are not about replacing bitcoin. It is about making bitcoin better and more functional. There is nothing wrong with the bitcoin we already have. Bitcoin is awesome. Imperfect - but awesome.
I never said MSC was about replacing bitcoin. However, it does depend on bitcoin developers not to block any of its functions for some whim, and that poses a great risk to MSC/XCP investors, as bitcoin developers couldn't care less if MSC/XCP investors threatened to sell their MSC/XCP stock to affect developers dicisions. From this perspective NXT especially, and Bitshares as well are safer, because they have their own blockchain and don't rely on third-party, and investors can influence this or that decision of the developers to a large extent.

bitcoin will go to 4-5 usd.
You mean it will be attacked on the network level (51% attack?) Or is your projection that it'll go to $5 based solely on insufficient demand for bitcoin? Bitcoin is not more interesting, and as such has no more investors, and losing popularity. All this so far has been an artificial raising popularity, using various speculations of mining hardware manufacturer. Now is mining factor 5.5 cents per Gh at 24 hour, and for next 12 days it will be about 4 cents per Gh at 24 hours, and here is begin of end for crypto coins. Soon, people will to realize that been deceived. If you have a memory span of more than a few weeks, you will remember that bitcoin's popularity comes in cycles. Take a look at the summer 2013 graph and see that it lost a lot of interest, only to gain it back in November. Besides, you must be aware that the world is awash with fiat, Fed is printing dollars like there is no tomorrow, every other country is following them on that path, and people don't see any good investment options to choose from to dump their depreciating fiat into. That pretty much guarantees a lot of interest for bitcoin, when the next cycle of popularity comes, as it did in the past. Nothing has changed since a few years ago, we're seeing more of the same, hence the trends of the past apply. Which means, your calculations of USD/Gh will be rendered invalid when the price goes up, then this 5 cents per Gh will start growing again, where it becomes (more) profitable, and the next mining rush takes place. You will be proven right in the end, but it won't be this year, sorry. It will be a few years later, when Bitcoin mining has taken a significant portion of world's electricity consumption and pushed against natural limits, and when Proof-of-Stake cryptos have established themselves to take over the race from bitcoin.

XCP/MSC will always be sort of castrated and limited by the bitcoin blockchain, not to mention too slow, that's why NXT and Bitshares technologies have more bright prospects, as they can truely develop without looking back to what bitcoin developers have to say. All of them have the same goals, but why choose those that have limitations from the start.

So this coin NXT is trying to compete with a coin named DOGE? Well since DOGE is a joke, I wonder where that puts NXT coin?
DOGE is competing with Bitcoin. When DOGE wins Bitcoin, it will no longer be a joke. Then NXT wins DOGE.

It's funny because igorr does make some good points, but conveniently or ignoramusly ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) only extrapolates current trends into the future without taking into account other factors - natural physical laws that would stop hashrates and difficulty from rising forever and not only can slow down hashrate growth but also lower it, especially when/if price doesn't provide sufficient support. So yeah, his predictions work, but only for a short term. It will all balance itself out in the mid-term in the free market which is cryptos. But long-term (5 years from now), Proof-of-Stake cryptos will be the winner, as they completely eliminate these controversial points that he brings up for discussion.
