Btc-e allows trading on margin, perhaps some bull got a margin call and had to cover. Nothing to be afraid of, panic sell doesn't start before 0.008, which is the last time low.

Since Litecoin keeps going down, and NXT is holding steady, let's make predictions at what range their market caps will meet each other. Comments are welcome too

Where is the 'Start harvesting' button in the new release?
it's in the same place, try closing your wallet and reopening again. Didn't work, still no button. Oh well, if you say it's there, I trust you, must be my browser or something.

@Toknormal, Why did you waste your time elaborating such a nice post in the thread created by a mentally ill individual? Did you see his answer to it? Hope you learn the lesson... BTW, why the fuck I am wasting my time right now? Why the fuck am I wasting my time reading you guys in this thread? (I already put digitalindustry on ignore)

Not cheap enough yet.
I feel your pain, but with the new features coming soon in 1.2.0 it's unlikely to go lower.

Even though I shut down the wallet properly (File->Quit), I can almost never get it to work again after shutdown and start from where it finished. I have to delete the 'data' folder and re-download the entire blockchain, or it wouldn't run. I don't know, it could be just me, I admit, no idea why it happens.
just delete data.dat.t Does this have the same effect as deleting the entire 'data' folder? Well, I expect it to start syncing from where it finished without having to delete anything. I even unpacked the new v10 from scratch and restored the wallet from the seed as someone advised, fully downloaded the blockchain, then File->Quit, and it wouldn't start after that, just posts some nasty Java exception and exits, now I am downloading the blockchain again. I guess it's just my bad luck, everyone else has no issues?

Why my NRS 1.2.0e run flash away?
1.2.0e is a Testnet only release. Set nxt.isTestnet=true in nxt.properties if you want to launch it. 1.1.6 is the latest stable release. my 1.2.0e's http://localhost:7876/ is blank. Why? try http://localhost:6876test net is a different port.

So why aren't more Litecoin holders investing in development and infrastructure to keep it relevant in 2014? It seems like a waste for me.
Because they only look to dump it for profit? There was never dedication among Litecoin holders to decouple it from fiat, which some Bitcoin users possess. Litecoin creator never wanted it to be better than Bitcoin. If you don't strive for #1, if you don't have dedication and passion, you lose eventually. At the very least, Litecoin holders could crowdfund development of a clone of Counterparty running on top of Litecoin network. It could beat Counterparty in adoption, because Bitcoin network is slower. But they can't even do that. Cloning Counterparty wouldn't take a lot of efforts, after all Litecoin itself is a clone of Bitcoin. Litecoin is very inflationary too right now, 28 800 new LTCs are mined every single day, that's double digit yearly inflation, the market just can't absorb all of it fast enough.

Let's see, if it goes to 0.0079, then spikes up to 0.01 for 1 week, then goes to 0.005, then spikes up to 0.007, then goes to 0.002, spikes up to 0.003. What is this? I'd say it's 'dying'. What would you call it? I never said it's dead, I only advised the OP to get out of it. I wouldn't say it's dead, because it's not dead yet. Dying - yes, dead - no. In my mind if something is dead it won't recover. Obviously that is not what you believe.
A short-lived spike (1 week) is not a recovery.
