2441  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WEB-3.COM Is Now at Auction! on: November 05, 2022, 12:13:37 PM
Hi, not interested but you're on the wrong section. If that domain is for auction then you better get move this thread to the right section and that's the Auctions.
And if you ever put that on sale, we've got the section for it specifically for domains/digital goods and that's Digital goods.
To move your thread, look at word Move topic at the bottom of this thread.
2442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom of speech soon to become a mirage. Will Bitcoin still be here by 2030? on: November 05, 2022, 10:25:07 AM
China and North Korea have been the first to implement that and these rich nations are just following what they've been doing over all of these years. They've taken the freedom of their citizens long time ago.

Will Bitcoin be a way to escape the Great Reset or will it perish?[/b]
We've seen that there's no asset that have been able to skip the financial crisis since the pandemic has started. With all of the inflations and increase of the FEDs rate, everything perishes. But what's impressive to see is the stability of bitcoin. Imagine, this is a volatile asset and yet has been stable when most countries are dealing with high inflation rates.
2443  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 05, 2022, 09:02:54 AM
For people who have been saving funds before they lose their jobs, that would even open some door of opportunities like investing in crypto or in real assets that would likely to gain huge profits in the future.
That's hard to do even if they've saved that much because what they'll think about is on how to survive having no job. That savings they've got will be used for it and that's why most of them barely will invest into assets like bitcoin. I'd tell them to be enough thinking about huge profits because that won't come in an instant after by just investing but it will require them a lot of time and patience until they meet it. Because it's unknown how long will they remain jobless and even if they put it into an investment, it's highly likely they'll pull it out there for survival.
2444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Algorand A good buy or Not? on: November 05, 2022, 07:50:05 AM
$Algo is definitely a good buy around now IMO, the world cup's gonna have a great impact on it. Considering the fact that Algorand is the FIFA official Blockchain and FIFA has teamed up with blockchain technology company Algorand to agree a sponsorship and technical partnership deal. "
As someone who's not a fan of it and never held it but as an investor who looks on stats and numbers. I'm not optimistic with its future although if there are fundamentals that makes it good and desirable, that's just my opinion and I would look rather with other altcoins that have potential in my opinion. Just learn the lesson when mostly are bullish, the opposite might come so don't hope and expect a lot from it so that when the expectation you're setting on it didn't come, you're still safe emotionally.
2445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price from October 31, 2010 to October 31, 2022 on: November 04, 2022, 11:36:28 PM
We yesterday celebrated the 14th anniversary of the Bitcoin Whitepaper, of course this is an important event that we should know about Bitcoin's long journey.

(October) The month and date are the same but every year the price will be different maybe in 2023 we don't know how much bitcoin will cost on October 31 but I don't think we need to think too much about it because I think I'm enjoying the ride when the bears start .
We're enjoying it and there's no one that's telling us that we need to think about much it. We're here to just appreciate the day and the time that has born the whitepaper.

We're waiting for the next 10 years how Bitcoin might go higher so that's what we want to see as we go along the long way. DCA & HODL is definitely the best way to run on top of it.

Bitcoin's journey is still long we will see even higher values, 14 years have passed is still too early we will see Bitcoin continue in the next few decades.

That's long though I have already my plans for that long if ever I'll still have my bitcoin on held by that time. 10 years is going to be an interesting passed year to know on how huge bitcoin is or there will be some disruptions that will happen for its progress and growth, we don't know but that's a lot of years and too many things can happen.
2446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is free or cheap service for lock LP on Pancakeswap? on: November 04, 2022, 10:37:13 PM
I probably didn't express myself accurately. I meant LP for the new token, not the farm.
Just go to the pools page and you'll see those choices you may want to have ~ https://pancakeswap.finance/pools
The average locking period for cake is around 40 weeks and they're offering higher rates as of looking at it. And that's probably because of the volatility that one may take. If it's on the LPool, you don't have to partner it with BNB, there are 9 options of tokens reward for you to choose from upon staking cake.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of the Roulette Game on: November 04, 2022, 09:43:19 PM
I've learned Blaise Pascal during my school days and I didn't know that he's got also the history of making this game, roulette. And even until now, we're playing the game that he has invented.
Yeah, it's sort of different today because it's been reinvented but OGs don't forget where it all started and who's the one to credit for his work. You made me read again a few things about Blaise Pascal and damn, he's got a lot of titles and achievements.
2448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is free or cheap service for lock LP on Pancakeswap? on: November 04, 2022, 08:59:24 PM
What token are you going to lock? Looking at the https://pancakeswap.finance/farms
They're not requiring you to lock your fund there and that's a better option because you can pull it out anytime you wish. And the rate has increased but you need to partner it with BNB and another token like cake. If it's not allowing you to lock, just don't move it.
2449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchange Rubic hacked and losses $1m on: November 04, 2022, 12:42:19 PM
These dexes or cexes can always hide in the back of being hacked when they're trying to getaway from their users and steal the funds that has been into them.
I have never known this dex but usually that's what happens that if they are targeted by hackers, they are the ones that's setting it up and making a foul play to make it look like that they really are a victim. Having that sums of funds and downloading some app that you know that might compromise the hot/cold wallet, what kind of thinking is that?
2450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN VS LANDED PROPERTY on: November 03, 2022, 11:36:00 PM
What will you rather invest in and why?
Both.
You're on the winning side if you've got assets in real estate/properties and as well as holding some bitcoin. You're an actual investor if you have these assets as these are the greatest assets that an individual can have. There's no need to choose from any of them, if you can prioritize a land first or bitcoin first, you choose it but it's better if you're aiming to own both of it because it's going to make your life easier if you own these appreciating assets, for real!
2451  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 03, 2022, 10:39:05 PM
What will be your advice to two friends who have just finished from college, one is considering furthering her education in the degree she has gotten from college, the other says she has learnt enough from school and rather than looking to further her education in the degree she has gotten from school, she is considering learning a good skill that she considers will be highly sort after. If it will cost roughly the same amount of money for the both of them to go with what they like and both choices are prospective, who would you advice to reconsider, and who would you encourage to continue?
I'll advice them to follow their hearts, whatever they think is right for their future careers then just do it. They may have a different path to take but it seemed planned from the beginning and they know what they're doing. Both of them can stop at anytime as well and pursue to work since both of them finished college. So, when they feel exhausted to the paths that they've taken, they can stop and do something else that will make them in the perfect shape and form. We all have our own timelines and we can't dictate what they have to do for their own lives and futures.
2452  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | on: November 03, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
[...]

clicking on these links is something dangerous
Yes, but I know what I'm doing.

Hi Duelbits, I just want to bring up something to you when I've tried to search for your Twitter account through Google. This ad has appeared and it seems a different domain extension.
~

This ad clearly has nothing to do with the official Duelbits or Stake site. As far as I know, Google allows to advertise gambling sites, but there are a lot of restrictions on countries, and it is only allowed to those advertisers who have passed the appropriate certification. You can see from your screenshots that the advertiser uses a pre-landing page, and I'm more than sure that this is done to bypass the restrictions of Google Ads. So it looks more like a phishing site, or someone is just trying to promote its referral link this way. In any case, I would advise you to be extremely careful before clicking on suspicious links because your curiosity might be the reason that your crypto and data can one day be stolen due to phishing.
Don't worry, I'm careful and that's why I'm just reaching it out to duelbits that there's someone that uses their name wrongly. I've made other threads about these phishing links to make everyone aware of it.

~snip~
This should not be a big deal. Obviously these guys are doing Google CPA for the keyword "VISIT DUELBIT" or only "DUELBIT".
It seems they are a review website and spending their money to get affiliate signup and receive commission.

Edit: After looking closely to everything on the site, I am sure they are only promoting Stake.
But the thing is, they're using Duelbits name wrongly and they're promoting other websites and those domains are also different. It could be harmful for someone who knows Duelbits but searches it on through google and may land into this false advertised website.

It seems like a referral/affiliate page because upon checking below there are also some other casinos too. So again, keeping up with my curiosity, I clicked "VISIT DUELBIT" and the spelling is lacking of "s" for the correct one.
Google always shows the sponsored site at the top of the search result. Seems like duelbits.cc is an referrals making website. Perhaps, the website owner has done some mistakes on the backlink of 'VISIT DUELBIT' and 'VISIT DUELBITS' word. As a result it is forwarding everyone to the mirror site of Stake. Duelbits team has nothing to do to stop them.
Yeah, they're always like that and have never filtered these websites that seems suspicious and harmful. They might have do nothing to stop them but they can make everyone aware of them.

Hi Duelbits, I just want to bring up something to you when I've tried to search for your Twitter account through Google. This ad has appeared and it seems a different domain extension.
Code:
www.duelbits.cc

Thats really psych man! People are crazy to scam others by investing lot of money and efforts on the scams.

I can't imagine the efforts those guys might have taken for:
1. Purchasing the domain
2. Hosting plans for the redirected website
3. Creating Google Adsense
4. Paying huge sum of money for running those HIGH CPC Google Ads!

I am literally thinking one thing right now; why deceive someone with so much hard work if they can actually create something of their own like a blog, youtube channel, or something else and go through above STEPS 1- 5 and earn themselves respects?

Thanks for sharing the info, hope Duelbits will take action soon.
Yeah, that's it. I've shared it because no one would have that type of effort and will use others casinos name if he's too good and don't have any intention at all. If it's just something all about affiliate marketing, he should do better and would just redirect to the correct websites + his referral link but that's not what it shows.

And as a curious folk, I've clicked on it and it showed this image:

After clicking this showed for a few seconds:

And after it loads, it redirected me to a stake page but it's not a .com but a .games - stake.games

I'm not sure if this is a legit mirror site for stake but the whole thing about it is that using your domain name with a different extension.
2454  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this not shilling but information sharing? on: November 03, 2022, 09:33:21 AM
Is it possible that all those crypto influencers we know and hear stuffs about could face market manipulation charges under new regulation law that's coming? ...
They're just relying to the sources that they've read in the internet. If they've got an insider then they're something but usually, that's the reality. They're just resourceful to research things related to the market because that's how they work, they're looking for contents so that's one of it that they shall share to their audiences. And that's why they're always putting some disclaimer before while they're releasing those contents they make.

Is there popular word ' Not a Financial Advice' not enough to safe them from what's coming?

Since they warned people about doing their own research too, isn't this enough to break them free?
It depends, if the information they're telling are truly misleading, they could face consequences depending on how heavy their blows are. Or, they are promoting scam projects. Take these examples;
2455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This days you can't predict what will make you vulnerable to hack, I need answer on: November 02, 2022, 11:37:34 PM
With my profile rank I still feel somehow asking this type of question, but I guess one can't know it all..

Is it safe to go on google search and type " how to add polygon to metamask"? I ask this because this days you can only stay one step ahead of scammers if you are getting information fast.

Are there no scam adding network to metamask yet?

Is there no way scammers are already using fake RPC URL to scam people? I need to ask.

Also do you have any solid genuine link where all chain data can be copy and past into Metamask instead of searching then through the web?.

If you haven't seen it yet, I've made a thread entitled: Beware of fake Coinmarketcap!
And that has something to do with your question about searching through search engines like Google. It is very likely that you'll see some fake results at the top of your search and they'll be labeled as sponsored ads. And those are the phishing links that might be connected to the keywords that you'll search like that question of connecting or adding polygon to metamask. I guess this will it clear to you that it's very unsafe if you'll search for some crypto related stuff on Google and you need to be vigilant and aware of clicking the wrong links.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do think that POGO should be declared as legal or Illegal ? on: November 02, 2022, 10:36:07 PM
First things first, if gambling is allowed in the country then that should be allowed even if their target customers aren't the locals since it's said that it's an OFFSHORE. Many countries are doing that, they're allowing tourists to gamble and don't allow their locals to be the customers so that income would just come in to them whether it's online or offline/local gambling.
Next, if they've taken a license and they've been through with authorized agencies and applied for it, there's nothing wrong with that as they've been through the process and complied with requirements.
Lastly, a government that's earning a lot from it legally just have to raid those illegal ones that are operating into their jurisdictions to remove those competitors and that will also force those illegal operations to be registered and apply for their licenses to become legal.
2457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price from October 31, 2010 to October 31, 2022 on: November 02, 2022, 07:42:31 PM
Yes, no one thought that Satoshi's invention in the last 12 years will take off and never look back.

And it's going to be interesting what will be the price next October 2023, as we all know we might still be in the middle of the bearish trend so probably will be around $20k'ish still and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes lower. But what's importanat is that we are here for the long term, whenever it will be October in the next 2 halvings, for sure the price will continue to grow base on it's historical logs.
Yeah, the more interesting part is going to be after the halving. But it's still an exciting thing to see what will happen next year with the same date from that table. But one thing for sure, it's going to be different from those prices in the table and might be the prices higher than of before.

14 years have passed and we are still with Bitcoin for quite a long time and accompany how to breathe the Bitcoin journey from 0 to this big. It is an honor for me to be able to continue to believe in Bitcoin year after year. Has anyone let Bitcoin down so far? I'm sure not

1 more day from now we will also celebrate the day of the Bitcoin logo as a Calendar that I always use as a benchmark to see historical dates and moments about Bitcoin. Because then I have a reminder of Bitcoin's historic date. If we click on the date we will refer to the created thread bitboy on November 01, 2010.
That's another event that we should be proud of seeing. It's because not everyone who sees these historical prices will think optimistic when they've become part of it. More years to come for bitcoin and there will be still a lot of FUD for sure.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie trading believe on: November 02, 2022, 06:38:52 PM
This forum had been reminding people about that fact. The only problem is, if they don't bump on that certain thread although you can clearly see it because most of the time it will be pages of repeated reminders.
High expectations about the cryptocurrency market are what makes it more inviting.
It's cool to be in the circle of new ways to make money but it should be carefully done because money is involved. If you fail, it gets harder to get it back with emotions flying everywhere.
With those failures, that's how everyone is learning. And from the thought that things are easy in the crypto market and its way of trading, that's making one realize that it's not easy just like how it's being portrayed and thought by some.

we can't expect everyone to listen from the constant reminders as some of them are hard-headed and they need to experience themselves before they believe such piece of advise. they have different notion in this market and most noobs really do have high expectations.
i believe, it is true for most of us here. so long you haven't experienced losses, you won't stop trying new things.
They'll learn the lesson the hard way if they're hard headed and don't want to listen to the experience of others with trading. That's okay, there are people like that and before, I was the same and thought that I know almost everything after learning a few things from it.
But that didn't do me well and that's so happen that it has made me more interested me I've started to gain some experience from my losses.
Looking at the positive perspective of losses, there's something to pick from it but don't make it a habit.  Grin

2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 01, 2022, 10:50:51 PM
All of them are a type of gambling honestly.

Gambling[/url] – a game or mutual bet according to established rules whose participants, seeking monetary gain, voluntarily risk losing an amount they have paid in, and where winning or losing is determined by chance, by some event, or by the result of a sport competition.

In gambling, players compete individually against the gambling operator. It is in the gambling operator’s interest to win against the players.
I guess that you're pertaining to mutual betting instead of using the word gambling itself on the first description. And these two descriptions that you've given about gambling to me isn't really the meaning of it. The latter part is what usually we do and betting against the casino, the house.
