Get ready; we're just $30k away from breaking the $7.22 record.

and when we do...my gaud, stand back.

I think the volume is going to start filling back in, and in a big way.  Remember, things looked like this when we were knocking up against $7.22, and then very quickly the order booked flipped around and down we went.  This craziness is almost making me take 1000 or so bitcoins out of offline storage to sell.

Although the order book was lopsided then (though I don't think quite as much as now), remember that price had started from $2 that time. After the second bounce off $2, it was a cautious approach to $4-$5. But when $4-$5 broke, it gapped up to $7. What we're seeing now is a cautious approach to $7, and I expect a big gap up to follow, before any correction.

Trends are strong, and this one is still building momentum.

Maybe.  But I think that until adoption significantly increases, movements are going to trend down in intensity.  I don't see indications that adoption is increasing that much.  Of course, I might be on the verge of being proven wrong in a big way.  It's not that I have any more info than most everyone else, I'm just a lot more cautious having gone through the last year.

I don't think I can change.

2443  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will hit $8+ within one month of this thread. on: July 10, 2012, 02:17:27 PM
I think we may hit $8 by the end of the week.   Grin

I think we can get to $10 in two weeks, but I think it will crash down to 4-5 by the time OP posted, not sure if that counts

I think if the price moves that fast to $10, then there probably will be a fairly violent crash in the future.  I really don't want to let go of this bear.

Edit:  I think I made a bad choice.  Haha

Glad to hear people are getting some coins back.  I'm still waiting on my first 50%.
2446  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will hit $8+ within one month of this thread. on: July 10, 2012, 01:31:34 PM
I doubt this will happen. It will soon return $5 due to speculation imo. The bubble will burst.

Nope. We won't see $5 ever again, count on it.

I don't think it's unlikely to see $5s again.

Bitcoin is over if the price ever touches $5 again.

That's what a lot of us were saying on the way down from $32.

Then that's pure stupidity thinking to be honest, it was an obvious bubble waiting to pop. (lots of sudden media attention)

Media attention aside, why couldn't this be a bubble?  Or the beginning of another bubble?

Folks, calm down. If you observe depth in real time, you'll notice that huge moves happen in unison. One or few persons behind this manipulation are having lots of fun reading theories about buying or selling pressure, or about any other attribute of a real large market. Don't get me wrong, I am an optimist, but the vocabulary here is delusional at times.

That'll fill in soon enough.

you need to remove the BEAR.

Nah, not yet.

That bear's gonna have to go away when we hit $8, proudhon...

I'll get rid of the bear if we make a new 2012 high.

Did the ask walls get bought or were they removed?

They are being shuffled around..   its neat..

Hmm, looks like a significant portion of the asks up to $7 got bought.

I am simply educating people to the truth, nothing more. There are several websites which I have posted to in order to better inform people.

+1 if mystery's compelling arguments on the internet have moved you to sell all your bitcoins and litecoins.
