Hey Phil,

I can take this Thursday morning @ 250 if it's not sold already.

Maybe sooner if I altered some streams of income.

Sold it

There are 8 pcie

That's what I don't understand. it says it has 8 PCI-e but in the picture you can see it only has 4 PCI-e connections.

each cable is double plugged

what are your six cards?

it may work with the right six cards

Hmm I understand ohhh. So I have 4 580 and 2 570.

so if the 580's have 8 pins  and the 570's have six pins

it could be hard.

if they all are six pins  you should be able to do 5 for sure and 6 maybe  depends on how you clock

Running a test rig 1x gigabyte 1070 itx with a watt setting of 92  gives me 24-25.07 mh of hash mining eth at nicehash

24564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Unable to detect driver after installing 2nd GPU on: June 21, 2017, 01:43:54 AM
I got 1 4gb hynix RX570 which was runninng perfectly. win10x64. Drivers were set, OCed as well which raised the hashrate from 24+ to 27+.
After a day of testing, i decided to add a second identical card and after booting to windows, my video drivers switched back to a default windows video driver.
under computer managment, it says 1 card is working properly while the second has a yellow exclamation mark. I get error saying something lik it cant detect my card from the sapphire utility. I tried other steps but to no avail:

- restarted the machine
- uninstall/reinstall driver from device manager
- ran amd cleanup utility and reinstalled driver

Any ideas?

I assume this are stock bios so

take the first card  which you know is good in slot 1 or 2 or 3

pull it out.

put the second card in that slot.

boot if it detects it good  it means the card is not defective.

come back to us if the second card works or does not work in the good slot

four 1080 ti's  could be 300 watts each if they are aorus

so 1200 x .85 = 1020 watts    so if you have a 1000 watt psu it may not cut it

This one is in a rig all by itself because I use it for gaming.  Has a EVGA 750W PSU.  It doesn't instantly turn off instantly crashes screens go blank and computer and card stays powered at whatever fan speed it was set to.  I shoulda explained that detail.

So I don't think it is anything to do with the PSU, yes it is an auros.  Some google shows most people can't go over +50 core.  So I was just wondering if I can run it at 75% power and +75 but not +75 and 85% power if that is safe or not.

try
80% tdp
+70 core

the aorus is factory overclocked and pulls solid power 300 watts

I would not push that card  to the point it keeps crashing

so if 85% tip
and + 75 core = crash  do not set it that high.

@ Op please lock the thread.

I do not think it is a good idea as a lot of people have done a lot to help miners on the site.

I am not looking for people to feel short changed.

If you compare Claymore  to _ck and Kano we should run a tip thread for the two of them as they were ripped much coin  just think if cgminer had paid them 2% since they wrote it.

24568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6 GPU Rig for Ethereum on: June 20, 2017, 06:38:10 PM
Hi,

I know this is not bitcoin, but hoping someone can help me please.

I have just set up my first rig... However I have a problem.

My Setup:
   - MSI Z170A SLI Plus motherboard
   - Intel Pentium Skylake 3.3Ghz G4400 CPU
   - 4x EVGA GeForce Nvidia GTX 1070 FTW
   - EVGA 1600w Platinum PSU
   - Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
   - 120G OCZ Vertex SSD
   - 2x 4Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz Memory
   - Claymore Dual Miner (Single Mode)

This produces 114 MH/s on ETH using Claymore.

My problem is that I can only get 4 GPU running, if I add more, I simply get a Code 12 in windows. I have tried Ubuntu, Centos, Win 7 and Win 10 with the same issues basically.

What I would like to know is, which Motherboard and processor combination will allow me to run 6 GPU as will replace what  I have just built.

I have tried G4 enabled and set to Gen 1, 2 and 3 and auto, I've disabled absolutely everything possible inc USB ports, lpt and parallel etc etc, seriously I am having a big a melt down here.
I've tried increasing the latency all the way in stages to 248 and still no joy.

I understand the processor is probably ok, its the motherboard which is causing the issue, and some people have said use the MSI Z170 Gaming M5 motherboard.

Can anyone help me please. I really want to replace the motherboard, reinstall and run 6, if I can, then I will go out and buy a load more.

Thank you for any help.

you fucked up  posted in the wrong place and want help

here you go

build  a smaller rig  and have 2 rigs one on zec and one on eth

Hey guys, i'm planning to skew a little towards nvidia and i'm weighing between 1080 and 1080ti, i know the hash rates for a 1080 is about 500-550 sols and the TIs are about 700-720 sols, but is the heat generation less? lets say i run a 4 TI rig vs a 6 1080 rig, would it be better to just get the less amount of cards possible? Also, are the founders edition of these cards worse or better than the regular editions, in terms of both hash rates and heat generation?

I would get 4x 1080ti  shoot for 650 hash rate  with a 65%-70% tdp and save tons of power

so about 4 x 650 = 2600 sol and around  650 watts for the cards and 75 watts for all else so 725 watts or less = easy peasy for

 4x 1080 ti's doing  2600 sol

any thoughts on the PNY founders edition? they're on sale and they're about 60$ cheaper than othet cards.

I have 2 they are fine

I'd be interested, have cheap power, but don't know what to offer right now with these ridiculous prices everywhere.

well  right now  they are going for more then  350 on ebay  we both know it is a rip off price.

A while back  150   was okay   now  thats too low.

it does around 29-30mh  for eth.    So   offer something  under 250   if you have low power it is pretty good price.

30 mh for eth  is about 6 dollars a day not counting power

http://ethereum-mining-calculator.com/

so  if you  have cheap power  it would earn 181 in a month  minus your cheap power

it would earn 362 in 2 months minus your cheap power.

So something under 250 should be decent for the two of us.

I can get 29- 30 mh for eth with it.

of course it is power hungry.

but cards are red hot .  so  make offers for it. do not insult me as a 30 mh card for a free power guy it has good value.

with a bit of under volts you can still do well

I am usa based.  Howell NJ 07731.

It has no box or anything at all  but I pack well.

Any offer close to what I think it is worth I will consider.  hint I

think this guy on amazon is way over priced

24576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 Ti Builds on: June 19, 2017, 12:43:03 PM
There seems to be some variation in what people are doing.

Guys like Philip Ma are doing two 1080 Ti's and a 1070 mini.

Others are doing 8 Ti on a z270A mobo.

What are some of your favorite builds.  Which motherboard are you using.  Which model of card?  What are the pros and cons of your build?

I haven't found a efficient way to use the 1080ti.
ETH hashrate is low, about 35 MH/S. DGB-skein hashrate is high, about 950 MH/S, but the price of GDB becomes lower, any ideas? Which coin do you mine using the 1080ti?

zec baby

2 1080 ti's and 1 1070 itx   gets you 1700 or 1800 zec at 550 watts

these builds are like a 5 or 6 card rx 480/rx580
riser free
and if you use the gigabyte z270  mobo down the road it can go to 5 cards with risers.
24577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia cards crashing: "GPU is lost" on: June 19, 2017, 12:28:55 PM
I keep getting this on a couple of 1080 Ti's randomly:

Sometimes it happens to only one card, sometimes they all fall together and flatline in MSI Afterburner.

Happens in both 3 and 4 card 10870 Ti rigs on a 1300W EVGA PSU with powered USB risers and even on a rig with only 1 card.

Seem to happen more frequently when the power limit is at 100% instead of around 70-80% but it might just be a coincidence.

The cards are only around 65°C.

Any suggestions what could cause this?

If I said you are  a f..king  m...n    for running the cards at 100%

would you be insulted?

Mind you I asked if I said that  while it looks like I said it  I did not.

So don't be insulted Grin Grin

Set the cards at 80% or less and your problems are solved.

I have alot of cred here  and have many review threads.

So feel free to contact me  about demo ing your cards.

I post here out in the open to show the community that I am transparent.

24579  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Looking for the scam or potential scam section. It involves 2 exchanges. on: June 19, 2017, 11:54:03 AM
I still don't understand what your concern about bitfinex is. You requested a withdrawal to a certain address, bitfinex processed that withdrawal and sent the requested amount to the requested address, and the transaction confirmed.

I don't think it would make very much sense to blame bitfinex if you told them to send your BTC to someone like Lauda, and Lauda subsequently ran away with your money. As such, I don't think it makes sense to blame bitfinex if you told them to send ETC to poloniex and poloniex subsequently did not credit your account.

I was not clear enough  this explorer shows no coins

https://etcchain.com/addr/0x1417d559cd82764475830418d0a5a0e0b6bd79c2

this explorer shows coins

http://gastracker.io/addr/0x1417d559cd82764475830418d0a5a0e0b6bd79c2

that is a direct conflict

and of course  Poloniex  does not show my 1.52 ETC

Both companies don't answer my emails on this.

If both  explorer's  did show the money  I would be all over Poloniex.com

But the fact is according to etcchain.com  I have zero coin.

So bitfinex   has not addressed this issue for me..

Like I said not much coin I really don't care about the coin.

I do care that  bitfinex does not address the conflict in  blockchain explorer.  If this was serious money
they would lose in a civil suit  for not addressing this.

I also care  that others may be having this issue of   gastracker.io  and etcchain.com  having a conflict in info

and exchanges saying fuck off.

So for now I consider both  exchanges wrong for not addressing this conflict in  blockchain explorer info

I call it a possible scam  in the making. my funds are locked in space  and one company (poloniex) does not answer me at all.

while the other company (bitfinex)   does not address the conflict in explorer information.

Not good practice by them at all.

I am sending more emails to poloniex and bitfinex  asking them to view this thread  and how to :

A) fix the problem
B) explain the blockchain explorer conflict.

see screen shot below

If I want to get a very nice scrypt ASIC, which is the better option?

Option 1
Pay 2.5x the price and receive the unit now

Option 2
Pay the normal price and receive the unit in the Fall

Which would you choose?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

This is an alt coin topic.

But if I had to choose I would get it now.

By now no more then three or four days.

If you got it by this Friday you could mine for a few weeks and sell it.
Or keep it and sell it in the fall.  Or just keep mining with it for a year.
