Next few hours will determine whether a bear trap or not Smiley

Volatility is back!
2463  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: November 12, 2014, 11:29:04 PM
Oh my God, please make it be historical 3

i believe historical 3 must be fueled by some big bad macro news in order for it to be massively insane and reach 3-4000$.
whilst the dolla keeps on rising, i dont see it yet.
it could definitely go back to 500$ but i dont expect some major increase after that.

Did you expect a major increase last year? Or the year before that? Or the year before..

Yet short interest on bitfinex is still floating around the all time high... if shorters are getting squeezed, others are jumping right in behind them.  This could go on for another $100 or so before they all learn their lesson.

I think that process can go on for a *long* time. The flip side of people buying all the way down from $1000, $800, $600 etc (thinking it can't possible go lower), is that shorters can remain convinced that it can't possibly go higher.

This.

Shorters have been rewarded repeatedly for the last 11 months. They will need to be burned a few times to stop people selling into strength so much.

Nice one to the idiots bears shorting with my coins on finex. Thanks for the interest!

You're welcome. Yes, I'll admit it. Opened a short yesterday at 383, closed it at 406, rode long for a bit to 425 recouping part of it (about 2/3), and am short again at 425.

This market right now makes not a lick of sense to me. Too much, too soon, no reason... it's entirely possible that it was just oversold for a long time, but damn if this isn't a bit too sudden a change.

Shorting a commodity with a repeated history of shooting up 10x higher in price seems a bit silly. Unless you have some insider knowledge.

What "repeated" history do you speak of (really, I mean, something starting up, if it is successful, is bound to have an exponential type growth, but you are talking about  over a year ago)? It's volatile. Shorting or longing or taking any leverage on this thing is a maniac's move. Admitted.

Have you seen the bitcoin log price chart?

Looks like we will break and go to $355 or something next few days.

Really? Smiley
Possibly, as I said for who wants to go long, wait for a bigger retrace.

Oops, to late, I just bought some more. I guess putting new tires on the car will just have to wait  Wink

(I hope it doesn't snow, lol)
lol

No but buying is fine, is more about going long on margin now that is risky, you don't wanna start to baghold a leveraged margin position eheh

All my finex coins are borrowed by bag holding shorters!

2475  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's happening! --- 3̶6̶0̶$̶ 378$ on: November 11, 2014, 09:48:54 PM
There's no agenda other than trying to warn people... are you really silly and think that a couple posts here could drive the price down? No, the price will go down regardless of what's being posted here.

I will buy back paying 10 times less than what you paid.

Why would anyone heed a warning from someone who is on record saying they have a) sold their bitcoins and b) want to buy back in at 50$. You don't see an agenda there? Hmm. Meanwhile the price continues to rise making your warning completely worthless. What is the capitulation price where you panic buy? $400? Plonker.
2476  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's happening! --- 3̶6̶0̶$̶ 378$ on: November 11, 2014, 07:17:32 PM
I suspect many of the ultra bear posters on here have heavily shorted and want to drive the price down so they can buy back really cheap bitcoins. If it's true they will probably start making ultra bull posts after the price starts to shoot up and they are forced to buy backin at a higher price.

Yes everyone posting has an agenda. Of course bitcoin holders are honest about it, unlike the bearish 'buy back lower, but really believe in bitcoin' crowd.

Excellent. Good luck Oda.
2479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will start a new rally? on: November 10, 2014, 08:20:35 PM
the actual rise of the bubble happens in a markedly opposite manner: quick and violent.

What's the reasoning behind this? Other than it's the history of bubbles. Why does it explode as opposed to steady increase?  All of a sudden demand increases 1000x and everyone buys at the same time, seems kind of remote? Is it just crazed excitement?

Read madness and the delusion of crowds. You are right.
2480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the rise in price due to Open Bazaar? on: November 10, 2014, 04:12:58 PM
It is due to an obvious bulltrap

Caught short?
