The Monero Moon (Issue 24) is now available for your reading pleasure. Grab a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer and kick back for a read. Like, share, and spread the word of Monero as it continues to grow and offer unmatched financial privacy.
It looks like that bug with decoy selection algorithm has been fixed and it should be merged soon!

Wondering who wrote that code and who vetted it?

I seem to remember this code was paid to be audited.

24HR Trading volume and transaction count are both up about 50% since I looked this morning.  What news?  I mean, about time, but why today?

No se.  But the transaction volume is nuts. And the Fluffy news?? No press is bad press?  I really don't know.  But it is being used for sure.

The volume is following it's normal weekly pattern, but has rocketed up to 2x what it was for a couple months (!) and in the midst of all time volume highs.

I'm not sure as I have no clue about it but I noticed a chart Articmine posted showed dash transaction volume tanking and monero volume rising about the same amount so I'm wondering if some dashtards started wising up?

Football is officially back with today's Hall of Fame Game (8 pm ET)! Let's kick off the pre-season, shall we?  Grin

Dak and Big Ben are not playing, and i doubt any of the veterans will play much, if at all, but there are some interesting players to watch, namely both teams' first-round picks, Micah Parsons and Najee Harris. Steelers' rookie running back has a huge upside imo, most fantasy experts have him finish as a top 10 RB at the end of the season but for that to happen Steelers' offensive line has to improve a lot...

To think the Steelers could have five players on the line who are either first time starters, starting with a new team or starting in a new position is incredible. And I don’t mean incredible in a good way.

Holy shit, perfect timing!

I saw this literally 1 minute before start!

Being able to wake up when I want and do as I wish is a state many born into that life take for granted and those people are generally the worst humanity has to offer IMO.

Of course, each of us has starting points, and surely some people have objectively better starting points than others, and it may well be difficult to generally proclaim (as you seem to be doing) that people who have been born with way more financial security are less worthy people or that they end up not being as good of a person as someone who had to struggle more from the beginning as you likely were fighting ratts out of your crib just to get something to eat, no?

No, "Generally" in this context is a qualifier statement. To elaborate on that I will state that those that do not fall into that category are some of the best as they have to deal with the pressure of the majority around them that push crap like "Family First" to justify putting their own comfort over others basic needs.

The infrastructure bill has draconian kyc provisions on crypto.  Several senators propose an amendment to the bill.  Contact your own senator soonest.

I was going to post this last night but decided to do it today, glad you did. Smiley

Is this one of those things they are trying to tack on to kill the bill or just a sneak attack?

I recognize the yellow thistle and the green foxtail which we have around here as well.  Their native habitat is Eurasia.  The other weed looks like Cleavers (hitchhikers) which grows pretty much everywhere but I'm confused by the juxtaposition of the weeds and the upscale restaurant (I'm basing this on the table setting).  Based on the timing of your dinner post and the lack of sunlight it looks like you might have gone one or two time zones west.  I think you're in Greece.

Land already correct

Amazing fast homer

Now where in Greece

Sherlock ain't got shit on our Homer!

I was wondering how long it would take him to show up and figure it out. Smiley

Your posts always turn into interviews but I'll share a little you can add to the bits you've received over the years. Smiley

Your only goal is to be in profits?  That does not seem very ambitious.

My only ambition in life is to be free and I have accomplished that from a very early age, especially considering I was born with nothing.

Aren't you at least trying to build your portfolio with the passage of time, too?

I have been all in for many years and do not risk gambling my holdings as I seem to have a penchant for getting fucked from shit that comes right out of left field.

Everyone giving up on reaching fuck you status?

As I've stated repeatedly fuck you status is different to everyone, mine has never been dependent on a cushion, those that need that live in fear as far as I'm concerned and that was beat out of me at a very early age.

Need some more details regarding why being in profits is merely enough.

Because I am not a greedy person, I have been happy for the last few decades just being able to be free to do as I choose and spend the bulk of my time in casinos. Being able to wake up when I want and do as I wish is a state many born into that life take for granted and those people are generally the worst humanity has to offer IMO.

Look you have been here around the same amount of time as me... so let's go with

{lots of conjecture}

You know by now only a moron or a plant would divulge that info especially in an open forum and I like to think I don't fall into that either of those categories. Wink

You must get this alot! Tongue

You, Hueristic, have been here long enough in order that you should not be feeling any inclinations to FOMO, right?

I've never really cared that much for excessive amounts of cake. I realized the things you own end up owning you early in life.

So as long as I'm in profit I'm happy. Smiley

I like I'm sure everyone here has some regrets but being in pure profit is a sweet place to be and getting there definitely has nothing to do with allowing your emotions to make decisions. Wink

Zoom has agreed to pay $85 million to settle claims that it lied about offering end-to-end encryption and gave user data to Facebook and Google without the consent of users.

Slap on the wrist, perfect example of the sheeple being the product.

... it's actually worse than merely just "being the product", the biggest customers for Facebook and Google's troves of personal data are government agencies

... this is a facistic end run around personal liberty and privacy by surveillance state out-sourcing to corporations, who they then light-touch regulate with aforementioned 'slaps on the wrist' so they can spy on their citizens, for a fee to the techno overlords ... no bigger pieces of shit have walked the earth than Zuckerberg, Brin and Sage

Don't forget the scumbag lawyers complicate in the entire system, they get the biggest part of the payoff from the victims fund and get to play off they are the good guy getting justice while pocketing the lions share.

Sometimes there could be a BIG ass spike down that many people believe that the draconian legislation in the USA  is actually going to keep bad boy bitcoin down..

It's also not necessarily what people think the legislation will do to bitcoin but what people think that other people think the legislation is going to do to the price. These second-order effects are a big part of why I hold and not trade. Long-term, you can have some idea of the value of the technology, short-term your trying to guess the psychology of a bunch of loons.

And psychology is ONLY one likely small aspect of trying to figure out BTC price.. especially when considering the importance of longer term dynamics..

Accordingly, the actual legitimate bitcoin price models do not really give a lot of weight to psychology, and those currently valid price models seemed to be pretty damned accurate in terms of longer term ideas about where dee BTC price is likely to be going... so in other words, careful with putting very much weight into psychology as an investment indicator, boyz and girlz because hard to tell whatever is going on with short term phoney baloney that can flippening in a matter of no time like a flash before ur lil eyes...

You heard it here first.    Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Are you saying FOMOing into a dump is not a smart thing to do?
I don't think we have to worry about that till 100k+ atm.

Same here bro!
So did you fill out the survey and return it?
I didn’t.
I figured that $1.00 didn’t cover my time and labor costs of filling out their stupid survey and mailing it.
Thanx for the dollar though! Lol

I actually can't remember but I think I didn't because I don't watch network tv so my data is worthless too them anyway.

They taped a toonie to my letter.  It was pretty heavy on one side so I was really curious what the heck was in this letter.  I kept the money and shredded the rest... I don't even listen to local radio.

HAH, I wouldn't fill out a form for a Toonie either!! Tongue

had to google what it was

At first, I was on the fence as to whether it was worth opening the envelope for $2 but then I found out it was toonie Tuesday at KFC and it was also National Fried Chicken Day (not an actual stat holiday if anyone was wondering) so it was like the planets had aligned to get me a tasty chicken sandwich just for opening the envelope.

... it's a slippery slope, it begins with a toonie for a KFC chicken sandwich ... before you know it you're taking beers and joints to get experimentally vaccinated to protect from a chinese virus of dubious origins and then who knows what quid pro quo from the corpocracy ... getting CDBC stimmy bonus checks in your digital wallet in return for your lifetimes spending data?

Then straight to BJ's under the bridge for sliders amirite?
gotta draw a line somewhere goddamnit!

I found a way to make a quick 2 bucks for nothing with the promise of another 5 if you fill out the Nielsen's ratings survey.  Watch your mailbox eXPHorizon!  Maybe you can also wait for your neighbours to get their mail and offer to get rid of their junk mail for them.   You pocket the 2 bucks and put the rest in the recycle bin.  Easy money.

Hah, just remembered I got a letter from them with a dollar bill in it and a letter asking for me to do the one page survey in the envelope a few years ago.

I like the 8-team league.  It's been several years since I've played FF, and considering how busy I've been lately the smaller league will allow me to remain competitive without having to invest a lot of time.  I agree that more teams can make things more interesting with waivers and trades, I just don't think that's right for me at the moment.  My vote is to keep things the way they are.

I personally don't like anything less than 12 man leagues.  With an 8 team league there's not much competition being that everyone has a stacked team and if anyone's players get hurt then you can easily go pick up a stud off of the waiver wire.  HOWEVER, I know I am an obsessive freak when it comes to fantasy football and spend way too much time on it each and every year.  I play in at least 3 leagues and try to play up to 5...so yes I know most people are not like me in the sense lol.

There are less "studs" in non ppr.

It separates real players from prima donna's.

You know whats funny is that we started that league you speak of as a fun league, hows that working out for you?
