Certain parts of the community have been selling bitcoins for unreasonably low prices.
Probably I'm going off topic here.
I have been introduced with bitcoin just because of my client who was trying to pay my service fee with bitcoin. I was refusing to accept it because of my insufficient knowledge about it but he however managed to seduce me accepting bitcoin.
For me, the first impression about bitcoin was- bitcoin is a better way of payment than any other existed system. Later, I came to know it's a currency indeed.
Although exchanging a little BTC doesn't affect its price, what should I do other than exchanging these? I write article and get paid through bitcoin. Should I hold these, who is going to feed me?
I still love bitcoin because its a convenient way for receiving payment. I want the facility of using bitcoin for my needs like having food, paying rent, shopping and all of these should be available in my local. I have no problem if bitcoin reach USD XXXXXX, but before that I want bitcoin to be the daily currency.
Sorry mates for wasting your time with my off topic reply.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO can be a safer investment option than ICO on: April 01, 2019, 05:36:04 AM
From what I have learnt until now, IEO is another form of ICO where IEO is vouched by an exchange. Generally, ICO is a good way of scamming chunk amount of money. IEO until now is better than ICO but in the long run, it will be the same for scammers. There are a lot of exchanges which don't have much volume. By issuing an IEO, the platform can raise X times more amount than their monthly volume. In that case, it will be easy to scam people. At the end, IEO still doesn't comply with the secured way of investment. At the beginning, it probably will have success and no risk will be there but at the end, door is still opened for scammers.

2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Theta token transfer missing on: April 01, 2019, 05:20:30 AM
I'm not too much aware of these and how etherscan works. If you don't mind, can you please check the address where you sent Theta token? Recently a copy/paste malware is trying to change your copied address and replace by hacker's address.

2470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Importance of reading terms and conditions of a website on: March 30, 2019, 08:45:42 AM
Mostly I don't read the terms because terms are often too long to read so I think other users too.

Look at the Coinbase terms about Gambling it is prohibited and you shouldn't use it as a wallet when your bitcoin comes from gambling casinos your account might be ban or lock.

So reading terms and condition should be read otherwise ask other users about the terms to avoid your account to become one of the ban or lock accounts.
Is there any limitation on coinbase or any amount from a gambling site will be locked? I'm using coinbase for a while. I'm participating in a signature campaign and they pay directly from their platform. Will it be a problem if I receive BTC from them?

I have written a few articles on bitcoin. I believe these are helpful for the newbies.

1. What is Bitcoin Mixer
2. Full Node Client vs Light Node Client
3. Understanding MultiSig with soft words
4. Number of Full Nodes since 2015
2472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The purpose of using bitcointalk on: March 27, 2019, 04:42:32 AM
Bitcointalk is a place for learning about cryptocurrency. I have joined here to learn and discuss about various technical aspects of bitcoin. Most of the persons join here for learning. Until joining the forum, I didn't know people can make money here.
2473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit for Crypto (and other) Knowledge on: March 26, 2019, 12:56:19 PM

2474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Double check your Bitcoin address before click on send button. on: March 25, 2019, 04:32:53 AM
I too have seen 2 more this type case. People need to be more careful as well as using address book if possible. All of the hot wallets including exchanges allow people to use address book.

It's going to be something here and there for people not caring about security. Somedays ago, I have seen another users also complaining the same.

Better use address book. I never used blockchain but I assume there must be an option to list your address. I always do that. Add the address before sending any transaction.
2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best resources to learn about Bitcoin? Non-tech friendly on: March 24, 2019, 05:34:10 AM
The best way to learn about bitcoin in a non technical way is to get yourself engaged with bitcoin transaction. Use bitcoin for buying something. Use a personal wallet, no web wallet for the transaction. It will be the best way for non technical people who want to learn about bitcoin.
2476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [For Beginners] How to get access on your wallet on new MyEtherwallet new Layout on: March 24, 2019, 05:21:15 AM
I second what o_e_l_e_o said. Private key should not be used as copy paste, not at least in a web wallet because malware can access your private key and this way, a hacking attempt can steal your fund easily.
2477  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: My Electrum wallet takes forever to synchronize. on: March 20, 2019, 07:30:32 AM
Be sure as well that you have sent bitcoin in the correct address if everything mentioned above is okay. Some people were complaining about a copy/paste scam attempt. Your copy paste address can be changed.

2479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: received 500 free satoshi? on: March 20, 2019, 06:46:38 AM
nothing about "spam" is funny! and the amount of bitcoin you received is going to cost you more than it paid you or at the very least it is going to be a nuisance when you have to deselect that particular transaction output each time you want to make a new transaction so that it doesn't increase your transaction size.

not to mention that it is a new unspent transaction output which nodes have to have in their memory from now on for no reason!
Nothing big. Either you have to deselect when you are creating new transaction or receive some funds on that address later when you are in need of BTC. It will work, although the amount any step you take doesn't going to be worthy.
2480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Media spreads incorrect story of New Zealand mass shooter & crypto... on: March 19, 2019, 08:53:33 AM
I think most local news also spread the same news to connect terrorist and crypto, while in my opinion there is no correlation between terrorist and crypto in general. It seems that there are some people who hate crypto then try to use very bad moment to make people think bad about crypto.
In my local, 99% news/articles about bitcoin have referred bitcoin as a way of buying/selling on darkweb or buying/selling illegal products. Those reading these articles, are thinking bitcoin as a illegal payment method despite it is a currency.
