2461  Economy / Speculation / Re: any chance Bitcoin will rise again to $1000 at Black friday ? on: November 24, 2015, 02:31:59 PM
If Bitcoin price were to rise due to Black Friday we would have already seen it start doing so by now. Doesn't look like it's happening. The people who going to spend bitcoins on Black Friday are those who already have it to spend. If anything, the Black Friday Bitcoin event will just raise awareness of Bitcoin. And even with increased awareness from the published numbers from the event, people will have already spent their disposable income in fiat.

exactly. also, the black friday is no reason for the price to go up. it's just 1 day in the year that is only different because people can get a good deal. that's it.
2462  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are down again? on: November 24, 2015, 02:28:26 PM
Just let's agree all that the price of BTC is stable. Because it was the high was 408 or more this november so yeah.

the high of november was $502. it will probably stay in this $320-$340 range as when it was at $220-$240 for a very long time.
2463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your idle coins? on: November 24, 2015, 02:23:25 PM
now the bitcoin block halving is comming closer i am more in saving mode than ever before. my coins will stay sleeping for at least 1 more year.
2464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card on: November 24, 2015, 02:20:53 PM
i don't think i will use it. i like the fact that bitcoin allows me to get rid of third parties when doing payments. but i am fairly sure a lot people will like it. it's easy and makes sure you can pay at many places very quickly.
2465  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000usd/btc or bust on: November 23, 2015, 03:05:52 PM
I'm still waiting for that day to come. Of course I want 1 btc to be worth 10.000usd

It won't happen over night though. Gotta have some patience with this.

some patience? you mean more like 10 or 15 years of patience. the price will definitely go up, but to reach $10,000 we'll need a lot more new money comming into bitcoin.
2466  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the impact of Open Bazaar on BTC price? on: November 23, 2015, 03:03:13 PM
It might have some effect on the btc price but not right after it opens up.

I believe it will take a while before this takes off.

the most important thing is to not expect too much from this as in the price going up a lot. don't make the same mistake as when gemini launched. so many people were hoping and thinking the price would go up a lot. but it didn't happen.
2467  Economy / Economics / Re: What if US Dollar Crashes? on: November 23, 2015, 03:01:03 PM
I don't see a dollar crash alone, european currency isn't at a good moment, and economic problems are around the world. It can be an small devaluation from traditional currencies against bitcoin and gold. But its difficult to predict because governments try to hide its problems.

Yeah exactly. If the dollar crashes a bunch of other currencies depending on the dollar will collapse as well. It won't happen without a bunch of consequences.

i am sure they will create thousands of billions of worthless fiat to save the usd at any cost. i don't think we'll need to worry about a collapse any time soon.
2468  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin investing on: November 23, 2015, 02:58:19 PM
Bitcoin may be counted as investment itself because of technology behind it.
Also I don't suggest go other alt-coins. They will be all dead in sometime other than btc.
Yup Alt coins are wasting investment. Putting investment in alt coins are like you itself digging land for your burial. so I would suggest Bitcoin for your future invesment Its sure Its worth for money. but not alt coins as you said.

I would not be so sure. Some Altcoin can be pulled by Bitcoin into the mainstream. The most likely are Litecoin and DASH, but for example porn industry can adopt sexcoin or eroticcoin (just an example) - it is very likely. So such investments may in the future prove to be the best.

bitcoin is already being used by plenty of industries. there is absolutely no need for any kind of altcoin. bitcoin is the best payment option for every market.
2469  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 23, 2015, 02:56:05 PM
If you believe that the bitcoin will be worth 10.000 usd someday, you wont need much.

All these speculations are so different from each other. You can't expect it to be 1 million in a couple of years. That's just not realistic.

It may his 10.000 someday but who's to say it will stay at 10.000 usd?

there are too much large holders to be able to see the price at anywhere near the $10,000 price level. if we stay at $2000 for quite a long time, then it's great too. holding 10btc will be worth $20,000, just imagine it.
2470  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: November 22, 2015, 02:33:32 PM
Only invest and save for the future that you can afford to lose.

For me personally I buy and sell and have learned small trends that it takes so my original investment has been paid off and I can hold for the future with no worry.

As I said for you though, if you can not care about the bitcoin and monetary value then just hold far into the future and I'm sure you will either have a big big bonus or expected loss.

it's indeed very simply for people. but a lot people make things very difficult for themselfs. what's easier than just holding bitcoin for a few years and then count the profits? can't think of something easier.
2471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Five digits on: November 22, 2015, 02:30:25 PM
We have all got used to the 300s now. It's boring again. Ha ha

It may be boring but it's better to have a stable $300 rather than an unsteady $200.

Hopefully we can hit the 5 digits sometime next year

boring means the price is stable as far as stable is the right word to use when it comes to bitcoin. i much rather prefer a slow but steady or what some people might consider 'boring' upwards growth, over peaks and rally's.
2472  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 22, 2015, 02:24:52 PM
My hope is, of course, that 21BTC will be much more in the future. Would be nice to have more but to be reasonable that's a fair amount right now.
Going slowly there.

you need 100BItcoin Smiley
you can do anything with 100btc in future

Bitcoin price will be stable at $1000  Grin

In 20 years, the price of bitcoin will be stable around $200k if bitcoin is still there. So with 100 bitcoin, you will have $20 million of today's money. You shall live quite a good life then.

I think we must rasional with price Smiley
anything can happen

Im not sure bitcoin can reach $200.000

how about fee transaction ? so you will pay $20 (10.000satosi) / transaction ? (if bitcoin price reach $200k)
20 we will experience 2 or 3 halving (not sure) but we can't reach 20k for sure

okey i will save ~10BTC
for that moment, i hope you right so i will be millionare with $2m

okehhh Smiley
2 million... 500 to 1000 is enough for that with the price 2000. That's more realistic I think

the amounts that people need for retirements differs much as some people can retire with $50,000 in certain countries, where the other will need more than $200,000 to be able to live off his retirement money. at the end it's good as long as you are happy with it. saving bitcoins for retirement is a nice extra alongside your regular fiat retirement money.
2473  Economy / Economics / Re: Companies that pay in Bitcoin ? on: November 22, 2015, 02:20:30 PM
i don't think these mega companies will decide to pay out their employees in bitcoin in the near future, if ever. i am not sure anymore what company it was, but the employees there have received their holiday money fully in bitcoin.

2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please guestimate for me... on: November 21, 2015, 10:11:06 PM
it can take an hour to probably 500,000 or even more years, if ever. it's simply impossible for any one to say how long it will take.

no it does not work in that way, it work with probability, the probability here is so low is not even funny

there are 2^256 private keys, you know how big is this number? that hash will not do it in time before the universe end

read again. i said it can take a day or 500,000 years or longer. that also has to do with the probability of being able to access the wallet within a basically infinite amount of time.

what you failed to understand is that the probability is toward the 500k years(actually many more years) and not on par between those value(day vs 500k)

because saying it can take a day or 500k years it like saying that there are 50% chance of hit the the private key in one day or in 500k years

where are you from? you fail to get the clue of my post once again. don't bite yourself stuck on my time indication. it was just an example.
2476  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening to BTC price? on: November 21, 2015, 10:07:36 PM
Is there a way to understand why the value is skyrocketing?

Not likely. Sit back and enjoy the show. Don't sell your coins cheap.

330 is expensive if you bought at 240, but cheap if you look at the potential.

For me the currency price is ok, with a stable rise of 5% each month, till july 2016, slow but steady progress is what we need.

every current price is nothing more than a dot when you are willing to hold your coins for years. the reward by that time for your patience will be huge.
2477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: November 21, 2015, 10:04:19 PM
Sad days again in bitcoin land... full bear mode enabled.
We will be dropping under 300 within te next 12 hours.

yeah it was a shame that it didnt last long, i was hoping that it would reach atleast 550-600 til the end of november.

it went up way too quick in such a short time. that's reason enough to believe this bull run or rally couldn't last long. it was a pump which was a very welcome happening after such a long time seeing the price barely move.

A long time indeed. But we really need to hold on a value around 300 USD. Going back to 260 is like going back intime..

i would also like to see the price stay above the $300 price level, but if it drops below $300 then it gives people the opportunity to buy coins below $300 as they have been waiting for it.
2478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's that HUGE gap between huobi and btc-e price? on: November 21, 2015, 08:12:46 PM
The price difference creates a great oppertunty to do trading purposes. However the sending time is quite long and for both exchanges you need to verify your account with an ID.

For me both exchanges, but especially BTC_E are not to be trusted. Russian based etc.

as far as i know btc-e doesn't require its traders to verify themself. i can trade and cashout my bitcoins without verification there. i am however not sure if you can also cash out fiat without verification.

2480  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: November 21, 2015, 08:04:32 PM
I think we will be back at $400 dollars in sometime next year.
Price stays good at 300-400 right now which can be accepted stable.

we will surely reach $400 next year if we don't reach it this year already. my guess is that we will most likely see the price stay around current price levels for 2 or more weeks.
