Hello actmyname, nice onchain game, i would like to ask for more information about 'merkle root of a bitcoin block', with merkle root you mean the block id?
Not the block hash (I assume you meant this by id).

For instance: Block #562669 has a block hash of ...e9c0e1 but it has a merkle root of bf628d0d0b...

And you send the betting result payment to the users by hand, or you use a script?
By-hand. Manually, aye. I'll make an edit to the format for those that want to specify an address for reward redirection.

Rounding increases it a bit for certain bets. Evens should be x1.905, and you have x1.90 (4.99% margin/5.25% margin). Not really an issue, just figured it was worth pointing out for those who don't want to math. Simpler and cleaner this way too.
Gotcha. I will be reducing margins in the future (closer to 1-2%) but starting off, this is just a different style of gambling that I'm testing.

bump.

It seems ludicrous to cry about coins that you lost due to your own stupidity.

If you drop a thousand dollars on the street, do you run up to your bank to ask them to refund you?
If you get scammed, it is no one's fault except your own. (that, and the scammer's)

Most likely, a subsequent request for deletion was made posthumously.
2464  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Blockchain Betting: On-chain Gambling on: February 12, 2019, 02:26:35 AM
Margin at ~5% to ~6% for anyone wondering
Should be 5% all-round, unless I messed up calculations somewhere.
2465  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Blockchain Betting: On-chain Gambling on: February 12, 2019, 02:02:03 AM
What is the minimum bet?
There is no minimum bet though I would suggest values higher than 0.0004 since the current fees are averaging ~0.00004
2466  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Blockchain Betting: On-chain Gambling on: February 12, 2019, 12:13:33 AM
Reserved.
Reminder that the results are dependent upon the merkle root.

Feel free to reply with any questions you may have.

I like sports betting. I like side bets. I like blockchain. So I thought: why not combine them?

RULES

All bets use the merkle root of a bitcoin block.
There are two types of bets. Instant bets and scheduled bets.
Instant bet results depend on the block in which your transaction is confirmed. (first confirmation)
Scheduled bets are bets in which you pick the block for your bet. (try to keep these within a reasonable time)

You must post which bet you are making.
If a post is made after an instant bet confirms, it changed to a scheduled bet. (nearest 10th block)

The payouts below represent the amount that is returned, multiplied by the wager.
The maximum payout is 0.1 BTC. Any excess will not be paid.

The capital "X" in the bet tables represents a character of your choosing (0-9, a-f). When making your reply, simply replace the X with your choice.

It's possible that a user be a good addition to DT1 and not have a proper custom trust list, right?
You should have a proper custom list if you're going to be adding others to DT2.

The only thing that is gained from adding users without custom lists to DT1 is that they will have DT1 vote power. It seems better reserved for those that are active in the forum and in trust.
2472  Economy / Reputation / Re: VIP Member hacked? on: February 05, 2019, 06:47:47 PM
I would point out there doesn’t appear to be any motive in hacking the account as to my knowledge he hasn’t even tried to conduct any business. Putting a lot of effort into falsely claiming you are the owner of an account isn’t logical to me in this case.
If it is illogical for a user to do A for R and that is your proof of ¬R then I vehemently disagree.

That is called an exploitable vulnerability. A flaw in reasoning. Illogical ≠ Impossible.

-it's extremely down from ATH , if it goes back only to the last ATH to $36.60 , from the current $0.82 it's a stagering x44.63 return
lol buddy do you want to see some shitcoins that have an ATH of 30000x their current prices?

If anybody makes another Bitcoin-like, they'd better not name it something stupid like NANO.
2474  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse and lies from DT members on: February 05, 2019, 01:11:21 AM
6- I didn't disclose the part because obviously the scam report is fake, why would then someone refuse paying less money than hiring a lawyer to someone who wants money after the job is finished?
Because it doesn't make sense sending more money to someone who has already stolen from you. What's so hard to understand about this?

If you send money to a scammer that requests it, they will just keep it.
2475  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse and lies from DT members on: February 04, 2019, 09:57:17 PM
Scammer: I won't let you withdraw your 38 BTC.
Player: I will open a scam accusation!
Scammer: Give me 5 BTC and I will give you 38 BTC.
Player: No! How about 1 BTC?
Scammer: OK. Here is your 38 BTC.

What part of this situation makes any sense?

Since when the oldest tactics of the police to catch fraudsters is illogical?
Wake up guys, this has been used since forever...
1) No one here is the police.
2) You were not speaking to the police.
3) If the intention was to catch a fraudster, the work was already completed after the fraudster asked for a bribe.
4) Giving the fraudster more money in exchange for them returning money makes no sense.

Asking for compensation for helping: ok.
Asking for compensation for providing a useful tip: ok.
Asking for compensation for providing an illogical idea: not ok.

Just coming in here to leave a quick review.

Won a large sum from Plinko (26 ETH) and withdrew 20. Processed and confirmed within 5 minutes.

Animations and sound design are slick.

why didn't it happen at the right time ?  it is happening now after a year !
Users reporting plagiarism and moderators who catch it can't be everywhere at once.

Complaining about a late sentence makes as much sense as <insert fantasy>
