Neptune card in Novec 7100...

Coolness!  What are you using to recondense it, or is it just a test setup?  How much did you pay for the Novec, if it's not rude to ask?

It was $350 shipped for a gallon of the Novec 7100.  I used a couple of peltier chips and some heatsinks to condense the Novec.  It worked and dripped back down while it was running.  I have a much bigger tank on the way with some large radiators installed for the final unit.

How fast is the submerged stapler?  Grin

Yes indeed! How Fast IS that Stapler running at??? I want one if it at least gets an ROI!

SP-tech "pooped in their pants" this time... Grin

But they don't want to admit it... Wink

Good luck and happy mining with SP30, guys...

I'm betting on SP30...

ZiG

There is still time for them to make it right by their customers...dont give up hope just yet.  when its time to give up hope, then, we can put them in the category list of KNC type companies.

We have an order for 1 SP30 that is to be shipped to us, and was wondering if it could be switched to hosted and setup before you actually ship it out as we were looking to get online with it sooner rather than later.

Please let me know, costs and if that is an option.

Also can an order be transferred from one customer to another person? and if so, would the compensation and everything else involved with the SP30 be simply setup under the new users account information?

Thanks!

so 4500gh at 3000 watts

okay that is .666 watts a hash .

made in Israel. .666 watts a hash. coincidence?

Speechless! Really?!  Huh

It's not pulling 3000. It's pulling 2910. So it's 646.

"Number 646 is a compilation of the energies and vibrations of number 6 and number 4, with number 6 appearing repeated, amplifying its influences.  Number 6 lends its attributes of stability and grace, acquisition, healing, love of home and family, protection, care and nurturing, solution-finding and problem-solving, reliability and responsibility, integrity and honesty.  Number 6 also relates to the material aspects of life.  Number 4 resonates with truth and integrity, practicality, working steadily towards achieving goals and aspirations, system and order, self-initiation, building solid foundations and enthusiasm coupled with determination. Number 4 also relates to the energies of the Archangels."

I like this explanation of the numbers Smiley

Email I just sent with response regarding their hosting prices remaining the same:

"That might make sense for you on your end regarding just the straight up power issue.

But for someone who owns one of these and is looking for affordable hosting, In their head they saw $500 a month to host my 6TH/s miner and figured out their ROI etc. now we are looking at a 4.5TH/s unit and that not being our fault but a design flaw, the ROI is now lower for that person to host the same gear for the same price.

So when people are looking for hosting if it will cost them more to host a unit than it will earn them ROI, that is not going to a be a wise choice for them. They need to figure out, OK its costing me "x" to host this for am month and I will earn "y" during that time, which gives me a profit of "z"

Basically : y-x=z

I would think since this all happened which may not be your fault entirely, one way of helping out your customers 'keep the faith' so to speak, is to reduce hosting costs for people who want to host their gear, not only as a sign of good faith, but as plain old good business.

Basically with the bump in power consumption and the reduction in TH/s the hosting plan just got worse and less attractive. Sometimes in order to make it work out for everyone, things need to be flexible and this could be part of a compensation plan option including whatever you have in mind.

Atah Mayveen? (you understand?)

let me know what you think."

The reply:

"Gadi Glikberg (Spondoolies Tech)

Thank you for bringing that to our attention.

We provide hosting at our own cost as a service to our customers.
Our small customer data center is located in Israel where electricity costs
are high and there are many other hosting options that are cheaper than
ours.

Your input is important to us and will consider adding a list of
recommended hosting facilities once we complete the plans for the
compensation plans.

Regards,

Gadi"

That's ok  as far a a nice PR response, but we would really need to see this compensation plan sooner rather than later(October) as you are shipping these units now...correct? and if we receive them as opposed to them being hosted by you, the we are on the hook for either scouting for a good hosting facility which may or may not be cheaper for 3Kw or the alternative to run them in our homes, and hire an electrician if needed to add the extra power to run a single 3Kw unit, while most of us here I would have to assume and say have more than this 1 miner (assuming all they bought is 1 SP30) in their arsenal.

So as a suggestion:
- Provide the compensation plan as soon as possible
- Distribute the actual compensation as soon as possible, why would it make any sense for anyone but ST to hold off with compensation if you are offering it anyways? at least this way people may have the opportunity to pay for another hosting option or 'hire' that electrician if needed.

You could always lower your own hosting plans, but as you mentioned above that is not an option.

Just some thoughts, as most people here I would think were expecting a higher performing machine with lower power consumption with a better ROI.

That's all. nothing personal against ST at all, I think you guys are great and cutting edge.

Just trying to make it seem fair for everyone involved.

Thanks!

Who are the members offering hosting here, and how can you ensure us you won't just take our miner if we host it with you?   Grin

I suggest you take a look at the hosting directory and reputation thread. This question really belongs there, so please post any follow-up questions there.

Miner theft is a serious issue, and you are right to be concerned. There's plenty of fraud in the bitcoin world and on this forum in particular, and you are wise to be cautious.

My brother (Michael Toomim) and I (Jonathan Toomim) are offering hosting starting in August or September. This will be our first hosting offering, so we don't have a reputation with that yet. We're both quote Googleable. Our DC is currently under construction in Grant County, WA. If you Skype me (ID: jtoomim), I'll give you a quick tour of our DC in construction. I think that will show that we've already invested enough money in this project that we'd likely be able to make more money by actually acting in good faith as hosting providers for a number of years than we'd get by stealing miners. I also can show ID to verify my identity. Roadstress and Spondoolies can verify that we've ordered a relatively large number of SP30s. (I'd have to get permission from Mike before disclosing the exact number, though, and he's sleeping -- I'll edit this once I get his permission.)

I think we can show that we have more to lose than to gain by being dishonest. If that's not good enough for you, then you can wait a couple months for us to acquire a few more adventurous customers and some reputation, or choose another hosting provider. With our prices, there's a good chance we'll be sold out by then, though. Hashplex sold out in less than a month, and our prices are even better than theirs.

Funny that you are advertising your future hosting center right after you said that all posts should be directed to the hosting directory and reputation thread Smiley

My Partner and I will be releasing news on our local NY based state of the art data center for hosting any and all mining gear.

More news to come, I am working on the website as we speak, and will try and get a page up this before the end of the week with more details.

Thanks!

Come on Guy!

Have your guys use some of that Iron Dome technology to sort this out Smiley

Either way, I hope you guys do the right thing, it will either make you or break you as a company.

The lucky buyer is buckrogers. We've agreed to do the transaction in the open.

The price is 7.192 BTC. 25% (1.798) within two weeks. Balance to be paid when the miner is shipped to me. I will ship the miner to him overnight, insured, at my expense.

The buyer assumes the risk the miner will be shipped late, the buyer must still complete the sale or forfeit the deposit. The seller assumes the risk the miner will not be shipped at all and will refund the deposit. Failure to pay the balance when notified that the miner has been shipped to the seller will result in the deposit being forfeited.

Payments will be made to: 1GgcNddDyegXsJUpqPoZhhdYFbHxVVmbk4

The buyer and seller agree to work out any unexpected events in good faith. Buyer indicates agreement with these terms by paying the deposit.

(I'd appreciate it if at least one person would quote this in its entirety. Thanks.)

congrads to buckrogers !!!

Thanks mindtrip!!

$1400 per miner, for 10 of them, price went down due to lack of common sense.
