2481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which portfolio tracker for Iphone? on: January 17, 2023, 08:45:51 PM
I use CoinGecko to track my portfolio. in the beginning, I only used it to monitor the market, the portfolio option allowed me one less application.
it proved to be the most universal solution, regardless of whether I use an iPhone, Android or even the web version. application for all devices, and in the past for a long time I really use three types of different devices.
2482  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Email received from Binance, Matter of concern ? on: January 17, 2023, 08:02:37 PM
Use noncustodial wallet instead, for you to have full control, especially if you do not know the person that is sending the coins in real life and if you do not know the country the person is from.

you are not offering a solution here.
what should he do if he does not primarily want to use Binance as a wallet, but wants to trade there? at the same time, he will claim the funds he received for some previously completed deal and he did not check whether they come from a sanctioned country.
2483  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.io unable to withdraw funds. on: January 17, 2023, 07:58:01 PM
Where did you first contact the support? I would suggest you send their representative a PM if you haven't already[1]. Make sure to give him the ticket ID as well.

[1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148073

maybe their account CEX should be mentioned, earlier I was under the impression that they follow notifications. they mostly responded in a very short time.

This could some browser incompatibility.

Have you tried in another browser? Like Chrome and or Firefox.

this can also be a problem, also the non-alignment of time zones, that is, the difference in time can complicate the verification process.
2484  Economy / Services / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 | Review Campaign 🔎| Participate Now! on: January 17, 2023, 05:19:39 PM
here is my review of the Utopia system.

Well, I installed the Windows version of the Utopia platform.
The first thing that started well, is that it offers the possibility of a custom location for the wallet.db file. After 1+ month of use, Utopia takes around 450MB on my storage, from initially 200MB installation.
My first impression is that I am more than pleasantly surprised by the possibilities I see. it is a complete ecosystem, with all important features included.
I got 5 CRP for testing, and use it to create some uVoucher while someone claimed it already. Also, take one from here
Also registered on Crypton exchange at https://crp.is and move some CRP there. I must say, everything working fine and fast. Registration on the exchange went through using the public key from the utopia wallet and really everything was very simple and clear. I was never in doubt about the next step, which confirms a good user experience.

I would not consider the application as a big consumer of resources in regular time, especially if we take into account everything that is done inside it. a very small part of the CPU power and a little more RAM memory. However, in combination with Chrome for a long period of time, I felt memory usage. (maybe clearing the cache would help, since Chrome doesn't do it automatically)

still a little more aggressive use of the application, more precisely going to the console, power consumption jumps sharply. CPU loads going up to 60%.

although there are almost always 15+ connections, I didn't notice any noticeable overload on the network.

Linux-based design. the first thing for which I would suggest improvement is certainly the user interface and design.

the options are crowded and even after a long time, I was not able to understand the hierarchy. all options and settings are everywhere, and the navigation itself through the application sometimes seems confusing and cluttered. All tabs stay open in I top bar, so it confuses "where I am" even more. I believe that it can be simplified.
Also, it seems to be too dedicated to discussion, chat, and messaging. But maybe it's the first goal of the developer, one more old-fashioned chat application. (Just an impression)

I became interested in CRP mining delegating so I asked for more information. I'm a little surprised that I had to go to several different pages, and websites in order to partially get the information that interested me. For example utopiaecosystem.com, u.is, utopia-ecosystem.com, blog.drhack.net/utopia-release-and-support...
it's fine if supporters make additional help pages and instructions but I think that everything should be consolidated in one place.

in the end, I would give a very high rating (4/5 probably) and I believe that I will stay with Utopia for a long time.
2485  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTCC exchange, discussion, reviews, opinion on: January 17, 2023, 03:34:00 PM
And their domain is registered since 1995.
I have reason to avoid this based on archives of their site. Try to check the snapshots for 2018 or older, they are running a different service than they currently are. I don't think they really started 11 years ago.

It's very possible they bought the aged domain, so now they have some history. it doesn't have to be a mandatory sign for anything, good or risky side of the business.
personally, I don't know anything about them, I may have seen their website somewhere, but not enough to have a clear opinion about them.

I wouldn't use them or recommend them, but as far as I can see, something is happening there. They are highly ranked on CoinGecko as "Derivative Exchanges Ranked by Open Interest & Trade Volume". https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/derivatives
Also, the web stats of their website says quite solid traffic sounds based on Taiwan. also, most of the traffic comes from those countries Taiwan, Korea, China, and Japan...

Again, this is not my recommendation for using this exchange, just a short analysis of data from the internet.
2486  Economy / Reputation / Re: My ignore list and my feedbacks and is Poker Player acceptable? on: January 17, 2023, 02:36:51 PM
If you are asking me (since you are quoting me I will take it you are), I would ask if you ever had an allegation made against you that your account was either hacked or stolen or sold? If no allegation was made against you then I suppose there is no reason for anybody to suspect you are not the original owner of the joker_josue account. That is my view.

allegations made against someone are not significant if they are not based on evidence. Likewise, if there are no accusations against someone, it is not impossible for him to be guilty.

However, if you want a reply from the one who alleged Royse777 is not the original owner of the account you should consider asking the user who created that thread what he thinks but he has not been around here since November 2021 therefore you might not get a reply.

I don't know how to take seriously anything said by one of the worst trolls on the forum. User ArcusIsidar certainly is. I'm surprised it's not on your ignore list. the fact that he attacks someone you don't like is not enough reason to take him seriously. especially if it's a proven troll.
2487  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Skills to Mills - Acquire the will, conquer the hill, enjoy the thrill on: January 17, 2023, 12:58:22 PM
I will start working on a new theme once I find a better one. I am familiar with Hestia theme and I am not a great designer.

since you're not a designer, you don't need to worry about design. You already have a clear design, further serious improvement is just a waste of your time (I know that feeling very well). Better focus on the content. For now, I only see some generic content and nothing that would leave the impression that I learned something new.
due to the beautiful appearance of the site, I will certainly not return to that page again, but if I find useful information, there is already a possibility to put the site in the bookmark.

Isn't this forum the best example, which has a rather outdated design, but we all come back because of the content and potential that we can find here?
2488  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk is mafia on: January 17, 2023, 12:15:26 PM
Hey

My account's reputation doesn't matter what I want to show you.. or more importantly what to ask you!?

How do you mean "your reputation doesn't matter"?
the only thing we have on this forum is a reputation which is based on our previous behaviour. without that, this would be just another mafia forum  Shocked
I believe you can see for yourself that there is a lot of trade going on here, based only on trust in the forum.

I invite you to discuss what happened to 4 Bitcoins from here:

I'm interested in why you started this topic now, what provoked you?
also, why do you want to open a discussion about something from 7 years ago? Why now?
2489  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CMarket.info - Crypto Market Screener on: January 17, 2023, 11:59:22 AM
I'm glad to see that you are updating and accepting the suggestions you get here. I will not read all the previous comments again I don't know if it has already been suggested, but I would suggest that you decide on a more precise purpose for the page.
I'm mostly thinking of the news section, which mostly dominates and is everywhere. every blog has tickers with news, mostly taken from some of the big sources. I think it's almost completely unnecessary for you because few of your visitors will come for the news in addition to so many better choices. for what you basically offer, it is not crucial that users also have a news ticker. if you really want to keep it, maybe move it to the bottom of the page, to a less prominent place

Maybe you can add some better navigation when we choose any other pair. above graph and below I still have news, but I have no choice for another pair, I have to use the back button.
2490  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a $370 loan on: January 16, 2023, 09:02:46 PM
don't bother.
all your domains are offered for sale. In a best-case scenario, you might be able to sell them for some money (certainly not for $370). I believe that if you had any offers, you would sell them immediately.
in order for them to be valid collateral, the lender must be able to cash out them in the short term in case you do not repay the loan. that is not possible here.
You are not the first who's trying to sell a domain through a loan.
2491  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fryx Finance - An open-source Monero/Bitcoin exchange. on: January 16, 2023, 07:21:44 PM
I tested Fryx Finance from my windows device, and here are my first impressions.

There is no need for any registration to make a successful exchange. Even there is a register/login option.
btw. After registration, there is no link or navigation button to the Buy Monero or Sell Monero pages.

I would agree with the previous comments, the site is really simple and works quite easily. However, it is more than necessary to improve the user experience. I'm not sure which is the input field, which is a button and which is just an informational part.

I fill orders to buy 0.05 XMR, and 30 minutes after sending the recommended amount of BTC I got exactly 0.05028531 on my Monero address.
here I would consider adding information about the current exchange rate, sounds more transparent.
Now, I don't know anything. I must have to calculate how I cost me this transaction and which rate is used. I believe that it is not a demanding part to make, but it would certainly be useful for your users.

I guess, calculating approximate tx cost can perhaps it could be calculated on the fly and shown without a special request by clicking a button. sometimes the change is hard to see, so it forces me to make a few clicks/refresh.

next to the address field, I would add a clipboard (copy/paste) button. it would simplify the copy of the address and avoid possible incorrect selection of all characters. On touchscreen devices is far more complicated to go through the transaction.

Basically, Fryx Finance looks like a nice service, it can be useful, but certain visual improvements are needed.
2492  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I feel happy on: January 16, 2023, 05:11:24 PM
and today i feel happy because i look at the market and when i see the price of bitcoin it turns out that there is a good increase in price. and at that time I bought it at a price range of 17000 and now I see a price range of 20000.

in some cases, it can be called beginner's luck. it is certainly a good thing for you to personally feel the positive benefit of the increase in the value of bitcoin.
now is the time to think about further moves. You can hold it for a long time, and probably expect a higher price (which will almost certainly happen at some point) or you can close positions and take (or reinvest) only profit.
it's your investment, but don't be too emotional to get attached to any asset, if you think it's a good opportunity, sell/buy...

2494  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 16, 2023, 03:30:57 PM
My apologies for this late review, I briefly explained my problem to the manager.

I am surprised that when opening the official site, I get a MetaMask Phishing Detection warning. Tried on Chrome, Firefox and Brave it's the same everywhere.

Code:
https://metamask.github.io/phishing-warning/v1.2.1/#hostname=[banned mixer]&href=https%3A%2F%2F[banned mixer]%2F&newIssueUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fmetamask%2Feth-phishing-detect%2Fissues%2Fnew

This page points me to CryptoScamDB but I didn't find anything in that database about [banned mixer].
anyway, I ignored it and continued to the site.

To begin with, a very simple page. I support the simple and minimal design and [banned mixer] is certainly that. maybe even too simple, some info hints would be useful, just so that the user is informed in which part of the process he is.

I send 0.0022BTC, choosing the lowest fee of 0.5%. very quickly I received confirmation that the transaction was detected and after 1 hour received exactly 0.00172645 BTC. Now I am not sure how is calculated 0.5% (of 0.0022)=0.00047355.
I saw in some discussion in this thread that there is a fixed fee of 0.0005 plus the service fee... but I can't calculate which fee is exactly included in my case.

before the transaction, I think there should definitely be some informative part here. For example, what amount can I expect after mixing and the expected time for the completion of the process.

also, why there is no temporary key or link here? in case I close the page, I can no longer return to the same page with the transaction process.

I downloaded the Letter of Guarantee, but there is not much information or confirmation in it, except for the address to which I should send the funds. For example, the address I set up with the receipt of the coin does not appear anywhere, and I have no proof of it. if something unplanned happens, it can be very complicated to further proof. certainly does not instil confidence in the security of the service.

About Privacy: however, I could hardly give a passing grade here. it is not difficult at all to track the entire transaction, because only two addresses were promised and practically the same coins that I sent were returned to me. (minus fees of course)

So, I send 0.0022 to 34WMBPP4GoQKNTVE4GeLLGrkBNTyJmwCgn
after that, the amount was divided into two almost identical amounts and moved to 1Coj6kLgtmf8QHsjFkwVGTuhYqunAFP79g and 1F4rN4naRNGEwHnVq48sUhUmwt16uFPpvz
from there put together again to 3L96i8wTKAgE5h53ZtJZS64CimFRhdHc4z and finally to the final destination, my receiving address.

honestly, this was very easy to follow. plus the separation into two identical halves and then rejoining it is almost obvious that it is coin mixing.
I would say that this is only a test phase, and my final impression is that there is still a lot of work to be done to finalize the product.
2495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your best advice/recommendations for a crypto beginner on: January 16, 2023, 12:33:07 PM
Cryptocurrency just like every contemporary innovation is vast and encompassing. This practically poses a challenge for begjnners. Furthermore, choosing which aspect of crypto to venture into - trading, mining, investing in ICO and others - is a herculean task considering the various degrees of risks associated with each of them.

What is your recommendation for a beginner?

good information is worth its weight in gold. even if it's negative and you don't like it, it's still valid.
Always do your own research, then ask for advice, do your own research again then make your own decision. no one will manage your money better than you. Do not trust random and unknown people on the internet.

btw. ICO is death.

We literally answered every question that other BitcoinTalker's had. They were questioning how we block blacklisted wallets. We answered that question multiple times in details. But I guess they weren't satisfied.

not that you literally did not answer my question, but you actually deleted my post in your self-moderated thread.

There is no other answer we can give than how do work. If you read carefully, you can see that we answered literally every question that we're asked. But hey, it's a free forum. You can have your options, only time will tell who is trustworthy and not.

when we find out about your trustworthiness, it will already be too late for some users. building trust is done by giving all the precise answers here, you decided on another, more dubious way.

Maybe one day you will try us out.

you can't even be considered, as long as you hide vital information.

2498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: age 47 is it too late or not to invest in bitcoin.? on: January 11, 2023, 04:54:29 PM
OP, I believe that you have already received many satisfactory answers. considering that we are approximately the same age, I am a little surprised that you are unsure about investing in your future. it's never too late to learn something new, besides, you're only 47, which is roughly half and you have a lot of time ahead of you.
now you just have an advantage compared to those kids you asked for advice because you have much more life experience that will definitely help you in making some right decisions.

of course, before each step, come here and ask, there will always be someone to share your experience and reduce your potential risk as a newbie.
2499  Economy / Reputation / Re: My ignore list and my feedbacks. on: January 11, 2023, 04:34:08 PM
You deserve more tags and you have not received them because many people have been paid, are being paid or expect to be paid by you in the future.

maybe you're right, maybe Royse777 deserves more negative tags, but the fact that he was temporarily banned is certainly not a reason for neg. feedback.
it seems like the last neg tag you left was just out of anger and to cause harm to Royse777. It only calls into question the rationality of your other tags.

I would like to see @LoyceV's Point of view here.

you, me, Poker Player or any other member of the forum should have their own opinion, and not ask for it from LoyceV or anyone else. if you need to hear someone's attitude, it means that you are not sure of your own. If you are not sure, do not leave feedback, especially not negative.
2500  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: January 11, 2023, 04:03:03 PM
@Ratimov can you add CoinPayCard.net to the list? They have a working virtual debt card, and get also have an ANN thread for more details: ✅💳Get A Anonymous Crypto Debit Card | KYC-FREE - CoinPayCard.net 💳✅

Note - I am not affiliated with this project.

I would not add them to any list, nor a free promotion, because they are closer to a scam than a trustworthy service. Check reference on his trust page, they are certainly not a recommendation as a reliable service. here we are talking about financial services, not about downloading e-books.
self-moderator ann thread, and avoiding giving precise answers is not the expected way. in the end, they hide all the information about themselves, which further deepens the mistrust.
