1521  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why don't we ban users like FmaTR on this forum? on: July 11, 2023, 12:31:44 PM
A user registered on Bitcointalk just to write a post in his thread to highlight how smooth deal he or she had with FmaTR. Definitely, this is absurd and we can confidently say that this user creates fake accounts to write positive reviews about his service.

You are absolutely right here. This is already a well-known technique for improving all offers through feedback via an alt account. I really don't believe that anyone believes in what he does.

Quote
He has been doing this since 2022, idk if that got unnoticed or if that is okay on this forum but one thing is for sure, this user is a scammer and liar.

You cannot be sure that he is a scammer if there are still no proven charges against him. He probably went unnoticed because his service is not interesting to anyone here.
What you can do is present all his fake and alt profiles here, maybe create a flag for his main account and ask for support from DT members.
1522  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [β] BPIP Extension: user info & extra features add-on/extension, Firefox/Chrome on: July 11, 2023, 09:08:54 AM
Another strange bug I noticed, I don't know if it's the same with others.
In the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5459386 there is no BPIP Rank and Earned Merit data, while in several others that I checked, this data appears normally  Huh

Op for example
1523  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know an account has been blacklisted or put on ignored. on: July 11, 2023, 09:02:17 AM
Hi everyone, I have been on the forum for quite some time now, despite the fact that I have shown growth, because I believe I have grown in knowledge of BTC/cryptocurrencies, trading strategies, saving strategy, gambling strategy and the likes, it still beats my imagination that my post or comments fail to attract merit rewards.

I would like to believe I have made a consistent and persistent contribution to have gotten to the full member position, but I want to know why it is difficult to gain merits as it is looks like am stuck or on ignored or blacklisted.

Certainly, the quality of posts and putting someone on the ignore list are related. If you spam or write useless bullshit, there is a high probability that you will end up on the ignore list of many users. So, don't spam and you will not be ignored, merit will come as a consequence.

I think that the ignore option is mostly used by older members, probably because they are tired of reading nonsense. Also, they have the most merit to give.
1524  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's notification bot (7 days retroactive) on: July 10, 2023, 08:09:18 PM

Will quote to test your notification.  Wink

It also doesn't work for me, even though I started getting notifications on Telegram
Let me try this

Green, black avatar
Blue, white signature
Finally the black and white website interface with that pirate logo.

Dark green/black is perhaps not the most noticeable combination, I hope that the current contest Sinbad.io Mix Your BTC Quickly AVATAR contest | Win up to $200 will bring some improvements when we talk about the avatar.
The signature looks pretty good now (at least to me), I wouldn't change much.

You can use yellow instead.  Yellow color harmonizes well with blue and green.

Yellow colour for a service such as a mixer is completely unacceptable. Otherwise, in web design, the combination of colors is very important, depending on the activity for which it is being made. I suggest that you do a little research, you will see that yellow is more suitable for some fun sites. By no means to the service or through some aspect of financial services.
It is about psychology and its influence on the visitor in terms of trust.
1526  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: July 10, 2023, 12:44:42 PM
So all these mess are for Cloudflare?
I thought it had something to do from the forum server side.
Usually, this happens because of a DDOS on the forum. As theymos wrote:
The Internet is seriously flawed if everyone needs to huddle behind these huge centralized anti-DDoS companies in order to survive...

I noticed that both, the TryNinja TG bot and LoyceV scraper, notification bots are down these days, I assumed it was related to DDoS protection due to extra Cloudflare verification in the last few days.

Considering that these are already proven add-ons, and very useful for the forum, I assume that both bots always come from the same IP address. So I wonder if an exception can be made just for them so that they always have direct access, probably read-only is enough. I believe that is a question for theymos, not sure how technically feasible it is
1527  Economy / Reputation / Re: hugeblack made false accusations against me. on: July 10, 2023, 12:24:03 PM

@Vlad2Vlad can confirm whether it's the real owner or not.

He said they worked closely for a year. A 1 minute chat will reveal the truth.

So you suggest that we ask and take the word of a person (who otherwise sent 242 merits to OP) who has negative feedback mostly because of shilling for someone (scammer) else? I believe that the trust system works well in such cases.

1528  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinsbit is a Scam Exchange becareful on: July 10, 2023, 10:46:59 AM
Also at Trustpilot . It was my fault to not check those 2 before depositing at Coinsbit as i always trusted the data by Ccoingecko and Coinmarketcap.

Instead of Trustpilot, go to the Scam Accusations board on Bitcointalk and do a search. You get much more relevant feedback

There has already been a lot of talk about Coinsbit here, mainly pointing out the omissions and fraudulent ways of doing business. It should always be remembered that it is necessary to do research before using a service.
I'll leave some of the threads

COINSBIT.IO EXCHANGE THREAD BOTS POSTING!!!
BEWARE OF SUPER SCAM: P2PB2B claim to be worlds biggest exchange !
COINSBIT.IO SCAM EXCHANGE + PONZI SCHEME !!!
BEWARE: Coinsbit Scammers Create Their Own Investbox (Yobit style)

There are still a lot of individual complaints, but they all point to the same thing.

1530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The exit plan on: July 07, 2023, 10:29:54 AM
As a crypto investor that desire to make huge profit through Cryptocurrency

First, you need to throw out this part of the "huge" profit. Reduce greed a little. I know that you can hear everywhere how "someone" got rich on an investment of only $10, but these are just fairy tales, if there is even a close case, it is very rare.

Quote
What are your exit plan and what exit plan have you used that work well for you.

What exit? From where?
If you mean exit as getting out of crypto, I wouldn't see the possibility of making a meaningful exit strategy here. After a long time, few people want to go out without a special reason.
1531  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: July 06, 2023, 06:01:07 PM
I must say that it is not the best practice to have phishing links in the opening post of the ANN thread. Someone who is a little "fast" with reading, can easily overlook the warning on these links. "Sinbad admins posted this, surely it can't be wrong"... I have seen such cases often, even in an alarming number.

I would suggest the moderator of the SinBad.io account make small changes and make this warning much clearer. For example

Quote
Attention, SCAM! DO NOT use following web and chat links
Code:
slnbad. io
slnbad. com
mixersinbad. io
sinbadmixer. com
sinbadmixer. io
https://t.me/Sinbadio_Russian_info

Adding all bad links in the code tag, will not make them clickable (like the link to the Telegram group at the moment). This will avoid even an accidental click that leads to a wrong page with an almost identical appearance.
When it comes to any financial transaction, precautionary measures are never superfluous.
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 05:48:27 PM
What do you mean when you say its not easy to buy bitcoin because of currency value ?

I would also emphasize this. The OP doesn't seem to have the best understanding of Bitcoin, how it works and how to use it personally. Here, I would definitely advise a good education first, and only then any use, especially payment for your services through Bitcoin.

One of the things you must also research is the legality of cryptocurrencies in your country. There are different possible restrictions, and it's best to be sure before making any announcements.
1533  Economy / Reputation / Re: Judgment Thread For PytagoraZ by JollyGood on: July 06, 2023, 04:29:41 PM
Hahaha... the person who created the thread about studying trust systems is here. Yes.. I read your writing, quite a lot.

In that thread you write that a neutral tag is not something negative, but it can be a consideration whether the account is trustworthy or not. if my tags survive 3 years later, people who don't know about it won't believe me.

At first I didn't know Jolly was tagging me, because I added it to the untrusted list. But I felt like he tagged me, so I deleted my list, and I just found out about it today.

welcome to the community of people who believe i am alt  Cheesy

Now you are starting to behave pathetically. A lot of members told you, here I am too, a neutral tag is not a judgment, nor does it necessarily mean that you will be viewed negatively. Certainly not a reason to start a drama about it.
If in three years, that is the only tag on your account, you certainly won't have to worry about whether someone will believe you.

However, you react a bit aggressively to every reply here, which otherwise reminds me of some earlier trolls here, and this all adds to the claim that you are still not a complete beginner on this forum. In addition to the history of your posts, it is obvious that in less than a month you have learned in detail some details of the forum, which many members have not for a much longer period.
1534  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: July 06, 2023, 03:44:03 PM

Npr. cesto mi gubitak bodova pokvari zadovoljno smeskanje kada Liverpool izgubi, jer sam tipovao njihovu pobedu.

To sam i mislio.

1537  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hotbit stops operation on: July 05, 2023, 11:42:22 PM
So the deadline for withdrawing funds from Hotbit has passed. I was right when I accused them of deliberately raising the withdrawal fee because they themselves admitted that the value left in their hot wallet was 6 million USD. They plan to convert this into USDC and thereby partially reduce the losses of investors in their shit tokens DF and HTB.
So they stole from one user to cover a debt (caused by their fault) with another user.

1538  Economy / Exchanges / Re: multi account on binance with same ip on: July 05, 2023, 11:06:15 PM
It's a little confusing as per their terms of service

Here it's as though they are not strict on opening multiple accounts but still maintain that each user should have only 1 account.

I believe that this term was written before they introduced mandatory KYC. Now the whole thing with the rules about creating multiple accounts seems pointless because it is only possible to pass KYC once with the same documents.
I assume that everyone is aware of the risk of using fake ID's or documents of another person without their knowledge. I mean the risk of freezing funds until the "original" person confirms access to the account.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 05, 2023, 10:54:21 PM
Maybe the first few when we only had 20 users or so. It was 0.0025 last year and the World Cup pool was 0.002 but we're getting 0.2 in sponsorship compared to nothing when we first started. Ł60 is still a bargain when there's a chance to 3 mBTC Free Bet each week and 0.1 for first place.

That's why it's strange to me that with the increase in the number of participants, the entry fee also increases. Plus an additional pot from the sponsor, which was not the case before. I expected it to go in the opposite direction.
Regardless, with high prizes and a large number of players, it becomes a really serious pool.
1540  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Huobi.com Suspending Withdrawal: Funds Held Hostage due to Monero Transaction on: July 05, 2023, 09:27:03 PM
..

I don't want to take sides here, but you haven't presented anything from your side. Have there been any changes in your use of this exchange?
They certainly didn't choose you at random to freeze funds, but something set off their alarm (at least it should be like that in working circumstances). Access from different IP addresses, different devices, a sudden increase in the withdrawal amount in comparison to the account history, suspicious deposit source etc...
It can be quite a lot, be sure to check what you have been doing from "unusual" activities.
