Hey everyone, I just want to clarify some concept regarding the Swap function of Metamask browser extension. I am currently exploring this wallet in order for me to at least have an idea about how these functions works in general and to be able to utilize the latest update. Let's say for example that I wanted to swap 100 UNI token to ETH. Does that mean the "Estimated Network Fee" will be deducted from your ETH balance? Another thing is, when swapping, what is the preferred percentage of "slippage"? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F4Vorm4B.png&t=663&c=LZz_Y-XQRJJeWw) I don't know which board to post since most of Altcoin Discusssion were full megathreads.

Greetings! Just want to ask a question! Why does the value of bitcoin in USD is stagnant even though the price of BTC in the market is skyrocketing? Just noticed it when I was using the platform. Replies would be appreciated. Thank you. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

After so many tries, I guess I have to finally admit that
It bothers me if someone degrades him/herself about his capabilities of doing a masterpiece. I have joined numerous art events/ contest outside bitcointalk before and unfortunately I've also experienced losing an event multiple times which is quite a bit hard to accept and to just moved on. I am also once a beginner in this field @Betwrong, loses and has been frustrated multiples but then the only thing that you can do is to get out of your comfort zone and explore whatever genre of art you are interested in whether it be traditional, digital, mural etc.. There are lots of tutorial which you can find in youtube like Proko and Florent Farges Art who does both oil painting and graphite drawing. You just need a lot of practice and consistency in your work. Anyhow, goodluck on your journey. Don't get frustrated too much.

All the e-book links you shared above are stored on Google Drive; Are all those books licensed for free?
Hi! @Husna QA ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) , I personally collected those cryptocurrency books during my free time and decided to upload it in my Google Drive and eventually share it to the community. To answer your question, I am not quite sure if these eBooks are licensed for free that is why i decided to create a thread if posting some eBooks are allowed. [1] Posting downloadable PDF/ eBook linksFortunately, based from the answers, I think it is allowed to post regardless if it is legally licensed or not. However, there is a reply in my thread that warns me to remove the links available to anyone due to the fact that I am liable for unauthorized distributions if the situation got worse. It's just that I am still lucky sine bitcointalk and GDrive are both protected with DMCA's "Safe Harbor". I hate to be that guy but as a word of caution: some of those books aren't actually free and I'm guessing that their unauthorized distribution could potentially land you in trouble (luckily for you, book publishers don't really tend to go after infringers). As for Bitcointalk and Google Drive, they are both shielded through DMCA's "Safe Harbor" provision which means they are not liable as long as they comply with takedown requests by copyright holders. Hope everyone learned a bit more about copyright law ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Do you think I should remove it? This one still got me guilty ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Just a heads for those newbs and to those account who have been inactive for 2 straight years and suddenly became active few months ago. As far as I am concerned, there is a zero chance na mayroon pong maglend sa inyo kasi sobrang taas ng risk magkaroon ng " Loan Default". Isa pa, general rule na din po yan sa forum especially we are in the community of socializing with respect to being anonymous. Let me quote of an important reminder: There has been a massive influx of new users requesting loans lately, and as a result, lots of people being scammed. It seems that Tomatocage's thread isn't enough, so let me just say this: Do not loan to new users unless you can get collateral OR if they are very trusted due to high-risk services they provide (examples: gambling sites, currency exchange sites), because the chances of them defaulting/scamming are 90%+.What defines a "new" user? - Anyone who is a Member, Jr. Member or Newbie
- Anyone who has registered within the last few months
- Anyone with less than ~100-200 posts
- Anyone whose posts mainly consist of spam and/or meaningless posts such as "+1" and "nice post"
- Anyone who refuses to provide collateral or ID for large loans (a general guideline is >0.005 BTC) or states that they can not give it may not be new, but is untrustworthy.
- Anyone who you think is a scammer, because in the Lending sub-forum, 90% of the time, you're probably right.
Regardless of your reason for requesting a loan whether it is valid or not as long as you do not have established a good image sa community -- wala pong papayag na mag lend sa inyo. Take note that even with a higher rank na nakapag establish ng maayos na reputation dito eh may record din ng " Loan Default". It's just that we are minimizing the imposed risk of being scammed.

It's been a long time since nung last time na sumali ako sa mga crypto airdrops, dati commonly used yung paggamit ng google forms para makapag register yung mga bounty hunter or airdrop hunter mga ganitong type of event pero I think medyo obsolete na gumamit ng ganong method kasi manual pa siyang dapat imonitor. Why not use some of the popular website na naglalagay ng mga featured airdrop like some of the reputable sites that I know nung active pa ako sa mga airdrop. This is by far the most convenient way na alam ko para mabilis ma-publicize yung existence ng airdrop sa mga taon since malaki na din reach ng site na 'to. [1] https://airdropalert.com/As far as I know, kaya nilang i-accomodate yung mga aridrop link intended only para sa isang project in which you and the company can customize what is inside the link (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Bitcointalk) and earn stakes based sa task na na-accomplish. Like for example [1] https://cryptoenter.com/AirDrop/?utm_source=airdropalertHere is the pricing for listing.

Minsan mas mababa pa nga palitan sa coins.pro as compared with coins.ph -- maybe because kakaunti lang yung volume doon? I am still not quite sure though kasi last ilang months na din yung nakalipas after ko mag trade doon.

You can also try contacting @bl4nkcode as he is the one holding the funds collected coming from the donations of other people from their place and to this community. Or @crwth who is also helping @cabalism13 to extend their help to other people.
Or maybe try wearing their signature design and avatar to help spread the Charity Program.

But here is your TLDR: You would need to guess the right one of 2048^12 combinations, 5.4445179 * 1039 (5.4445179e+39).
I think it should be permutations not a combinations of seed phrases since the repetition of words are allowed and the arrangements of words are necessary. 2048 P 12 = 5.271537971 * 10 391. Store on the internet by creating a file of your seed and try to save like into cloud storage. Dropbox and Google Drive.
2. You will store your seed phrase file with different devices/storage like your Hard drive Flash drive Disk drive
I think OP isn't talking about handling of seed phrases to reach an optimum security. Either way, storing your seed phrases online written on a plain text is a malpractice.

From there I can take the time to look into more secure storage options for the future. Thank you!
If you really want to have an in-depth comparison to know which wallet you are going to use then there is a good wallet comparison and discussion that can help you decide for storing your coins. This table will help you sort out what are your needs and which wallet you are comfortable storing your stash. Also please note that you must complement the table while carefully reading this thread [1] FOR NEWBIES, wallets to choose from and analysis by Veriphi for you to be able to distinguish what are the recommendations and error stated in the spreadsheet. [2] https://veriphi.io/en/blog/software-wallet-analysisMuch of the wallet tips and reminders regarding the security of your wallet has been discussed by other members, so all you need to do is to apply and make it as a habit of precautionary measures.

You need to add another point ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 4. Proofread your post if your grammar, spelling, formatting and consecutive numbering (if used) is without mistakes. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Just a heads up, I recently found this website and it is way better than using grammarly for checking grammatical errors especially if you are a non-native english speaker. I dont know whose on top of your head but I am talking about the guy on this thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5233790.0Pretty sure many admire him including him with his built reputation but of course you may never know when someone strike you especially if its involve money. Trust no one. Always better to be safe and used all means of cautious. Oh boy! I wonder how this person is doing right now? What is the status of his cryptocurrency memorabilia shop which he uses as an alibi to deceive other people's money ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) . Even until now, I don't know if that business he's building is true or just a hoax to build up something deceitful even at the expense of losing his account. The things is -- I became more complacent to deal with this person which leaves me disregarding his true intent.

Yes. Your private keys aren't stored in the wallet file. All the wallet does is hold the public key of your wallet, so it can track your balance and know which inputs to use when crafting an transaction.
Thank you for the clarification. So the only thing I need to do is to go to wallet file via file menu > save backup?
Usually I save my seed on google drive and put it on a Microsoft word file of my thesis during my student time.
Are you still practicing this method? If I were you, I assume that the seed phrase stored in your google drive is somehow compromised. It should be written on a piece of paper, laminated and then stored somewhere in your area you think is safe.

Have you tried visiting Currency exchange section? I have tried it once and found it as a good alternative if you want an immediate exchange for your BTC to your local currency as long as you found a trusted BTC buyer -- just be careful though! Or maybe try using [1] https://localcryptos.com/ -- as far as I know, they do not require any KYC to do a P2P transaction.

What matter is your wallet file not the Electrum installation. When you install Electrum through the .exe installer, it just deletes the old files and install the new ones, keeping the "wallets" folder, which is where your wallet file is located at.
Let's say for example I am using Electrum as an interface to manage my bitcoin using Ledger Nano S which also has wallet file that can be found in \Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets (or %APPDATA%\Electrum\wallets) Is it safe back up them in a flashdrive? Also, Is there any antivirus that I can install inside the flashdrive to protect the wallet file from being infected/hacked? I am planning to actually clean my PC and start with a fresh one and then re-install again the electrum.

Have you already encountered this thread made by @mu_enrico and @Coolcryptovator? [1] Newbie's Guide to Getting Merit (Proven)[2] What is Quality post really ?It is actually easy to determine what kind of post are merit worthy if you can spend some time studying on how they construct their ideas or point of views to a certain topic or issues imposed by other other members. Studying each day may also widen your knowledge which can give you an idea about on how you can tackle a certain topic and of course join the discussion naturally which i think is the most important aspect. I've provided some links which will shed some light if you are going to exert some effort studying it. Or maybe, stick with your local board if you are having any difficulty expressing your ideas due to language barrier.

@LoyceV That would be a great idea and I think it will be beneficial for a lot of people in this community. But, is it not possible for this function to be implemented in epochtalk? Thank you for posting both examples. I checked and it looks like it's exceeding the "updated 2.5 MB" limit for images [your initial guess was correct "file size"]... - Yours is 2.69 MB.
Seriously? It took me 3 years before it happened to have an idea that there is an image size limit of 2.5 MB, I thought that the limit is only for posting GIF's. Thank you for the clarification. Appreciated a lot!
