2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How dare ETH to scramble for position with BTC? on: March 22, 2018, 07:51:32 PM
Why would anyone use something that allows for transactions to be rolled back in order to steal from people?  You can't trust that.

I would never use ETH... even if Bitcoin went tits up tomorrow.

2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: March 21, 2018, 10:38:39 AM

I've been trying to sync CLAMclient for over a week, and the syncing is so slow that my client is actually getting further behind as time passes. I'm wondering if I can do anything to speed it up.

I've already downloaded the bootstrap data from dooglas, then started syncing from nodes. My client shows that it is 3 weeks behind. Two days ago my client was at block 1914550. Now it's at 1915947. That's only 1397 blocks in two days, which is slightly less than one block per minute. So at this rate I'll never catch up.

Is there anything I can do to make the sync faster? (I'm using Linux, running clam-qt 1.4.17).

you can ask dooglas to make you new bootstrap or just wait a bit. It should be done soon. 1954070 is current block so in 3 or 4 days you should be fine.

Sometimes people have such shit internet that even if dooglus made a boostrap 1 hour beind... the internet couldn't keep up.

Just the way she goes in this shit and those type of users should be using Just-dice (which is dooglus too) or a few other new CLAM websites. www.clamcoin.org

FreeBitcoins.com accept your little gay ICOS <3 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3158010.0

(har har just teasing, but any clue how many hours per week you'd have to spend on keeping up with all the little ICO fork shits.  It's just best to disregard all of them if you have a nice nest egg like Bitcointalk or Facebook or Google.)

Very similar and in fact based on Theymos auctions, but with a BAC twist.

There is one slot shown at a time in order to keep the website clean.

Each slot has the weight of 1 out of 9.

Ah so essentially there won't be a 10th slot which is a non-advert/in house content. Well currently have no use for advertising but I guess will keep it in mind if I ever do. Good Luck with the sales  Grin

Shit, I never thought about the 10th slot Bitcointalk uses Tongue, but you are right.  There are only 9 slots for both top and bottom... those slots are used by purchasers and any unsold slots are used by the company.

I didn't like the idea of the company using up a sellable banner space as compared to a link at the bottom of every page for "Advertise with us!".

Thank you very much and please let me know if there is ever anything we can do for you <3.
2511  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Buying old BTC, LTC and DOGE addresses! Automated site! FreeBitcoins.com on: March 19, 2018, 04:22:46 PM
Nvm I see your private message now.

I'm exploring your digs right now.

Edit:  I've throughly reviewed all of your digs that you sent to me VIA PM and everything looks correct on our end.  I believe you are calculating the numbers that the address had received/sent... not the actual balance of the BTG addresses being dug.  I've PM'ed you a fully detailed summary on each dig, the amount and the txid.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm also happy to manually process your future digs for you, but it's the same difference as using FreeBitcoins.  We are working on a website upgrade right now that will show you what you are getting prior to digging more accurately and will help users understand right from the jump.

Thank you very much for your business of course <3
2512  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Buying old BTC, LTC and DOGE addresses! Automated site! FreeBitcoins.com on: March 19, 2018, 03:44:51 PM
Also please check this address:1Kf2usqiWdZUxXX1qNPbMks7FhSyaxAGjq
You can check it on https://btgexplorer.com
I don't want auto dig more because i got 0.50$ only for address like this.
Please tell me price for this address.

We can dig this address! Fill in your private key and payment info, and we'll send your coins to you.

Now i will deal via PM only.

It appears the address 1Kf2 is linked to this Bitcoin gold address:  https://btgexplorer.com/address/GcVxL1AfVVAn2zpJmK3hnXD1AsEpbAzC6h

That Bitcoin Gold address has a balance of 0.00231564 BTG.

0.00231564 BTG is equal to 0.13866814 USD.

We charge 10% on BTG digs, so the fee is 0.01386681.

Your expected net would be somewhere around 0.12480133 USD via BTC for the BTG on that address alone.

Dust addresses are poor pay for BCC/BTG, BUT if you have dust addresses that were in use on May 12, 2014... you have a chance to score a pretty penny because the CLAM distribution doesn't care about address size.

Please PM me with those 8 addresses you dug through our service and I'll be happy to review it for you!!  We have a bounty going on right now for $100 USD if your did didn't get a receipt (meaning if it doesn't show up on the dig pages for whatever reason!) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2970936.msg30525029#msg30525029

We have 9 slots available to advertise in our top banners for FreeBitcoins.com.  These banners are displayed to all of our users (mobile/computer/tablet).

So are these slots all displayed at once side by side or displayed in rotations similar to Bitcointalk's advertisement system? (the forum advertising auction that Theymos runs)

Very similar and in fact based on Theymos auctions, but with a BAC twist.

Top Banner Auction details:

Starting bid .005 BTC. Bids must be divisible by .001.

Bidding will end 3-25-18 at 11:59PM CST. The ads will run from 12:00AM CST 3-26-18 to 11:59PM CST 4-01-18.

We have 9 slots available to advertise in our top banners for FreeBitcoins.com.  These banners are displayed to all of our users (mobile/computer/tablet).

Bidding style:

Post your bids in this thread. Prices must be stated in BTC per slot. You must state the maximum number of slots you want. When the auction ends, the highest bidders will have their slots filled until all nine slots are filled.

So if someone bids for 9 slots @ 1 BTC and this is the highest bid, then he'll get all 9 slots. If the two highest bids are 9 slots @ 4 BTC and 1 slot @ 5 BTC, then the first person will get 8 slots and the second person will get 1 slot.

The notation "2 @ 5" means 2 slots for 5 BTC each. Not 2 slots for 5 BTC total.

Bids must be divisible by .001

Each bid extends the auction 30 minutes when there is <30 minutes remaining in the auctions.  (Snipe prevention)

Bottom Banner Buy-It-Now details:

Buy it now for each bottom banner section is 9 @ .01.

There are 9 slots at available to advertise in our bottom banners for Freebitcoins.com.  These banners are displayed to all of our users (mobile/computer/tablet).

Banners

Banner sizes we need are:  728x90, 468x60 and 320x50

Feel free to send your banners before the auction ends.  This will ensure that your banner gets the most time up as possible.

Unsold space

Unsold space will be used by the company (FreeBitcoins).

Here is our traffic report from the past week:

Here is Clamcoin on the fucking John Oliver show this past week (LOL) (We use Clamcoin for our faucet to allow users to learn how to use cryptocurrency/blockchain technology without having any hold on their coins or requiring them to spend days working their fingers to the point of bleeding... Within 1 minute we put things on the blockchain for users and we do everything on site as transparently as possible.)

Here is a list of all the previous advertising rounds:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2415735

Good luck!

Bumping since Quickseller continues to accuse others of wrongdoing, while holding onto stolen coins himself.  :/

Let's try and keep this on topic please.

Do you think he's retired and sitting on a beach with an ipad trying to troll everyone, or... I don't get it. why would some dude who claims to be rich be sitting around all mad at people and picking fights? I don't see either of us doing that, right? Tongue

Cheers! Cheesy

I got a good chuckle out of this post.  *shakes head Cheesy*

Anything involving courts and lawyers is going to take a long time.

Watching this thread for lols.
2519  Economy / Reputation / Re: Split: mprep's unethical violation of auction rules on: March 19, 2018, 04:08:36 AM
I've decided to unlock this thread for additional comments and discussion.

Tl;Dr: Mprep auction was set to end on March 15, 2018 as long as it had a valid bid.  The auction had a valid bid and Mprep randomly decided on the 15th to extend the auction for 10 days.  I made a comment about this and mprep personally attacked me... when I commented back about his personal attack from a mistake two year ago... Mprep pulled all the negative stuff in regards to his scammy auction and stuck it here.

It seems that extending the auction is damaging

If you went to a community auction or an eBay auction and made a valid bid... then suddenly the person operating the auction lets you know minutes before the end that the auction actually won't be ending today, but in 10 days from now.  I would hope people would be pissed and would leave negative feedback or whatever against that company in order to prevent other folks from wasting their time with dishonest/dysfunctional auctions.
