2501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Threat lies in every corner while investing in crypto (a must read for newbies) on: October 19, 2022, 10:13:02 AM

Yhe question you asked is also what I have been asking...Why not choose number 1? Thank God I have come to the real knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrency in totality.
I met a friend the other day who is seriously into altcoins he makes again and he makes money from them according to him. I had no problems with that, but he was discrediting bitcoin investment. I asked him why don't he invest in number 1 cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin instead of gambling without altcoins and shitcoins. His answer was simple, bitcoin will not give him good profits.  I said well it is because of the profits that makes people to lose money .

There is no way altcoins will rise without bitcoin rising, for altcoins to rise means bitcoin has risen and pulled them.
This means bitcoin will also give profits even if not massive but the sure thing is that in 5yrs time, bitcoin will still be here which cannot be said of some other coins.

Just go ahead and read the section on alternative coins. There, newbies sincerely believe that one day they will get X100 or more by risking buying some tokens. I've always wondered where they got such confidence from. After all, this is not the first year we have discouraged them from keeping new coins, but the number of believers has not decreased. And almost all of them write that they have no experience, but Bitcoin does not inspire them. Why? For myself, I realized that there are people who live in a parallel world, who consider themselves smarter than everyone else, and who do not hear or listen to other people who have already walked a similar path. Therefore, it is always fun to read how a person, having sobered up, regrets the lost time and comes to Bitcoin.
2502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7 tips from cybercrime experts to stop hackers in their tracks on: October 19, 2022, 09:52:58 AM

Never mind me. You just come to the conclusion. How did you know?  Grin

But the hackers are always using similar tactics, which is introduction and installation of malware on victims devices in case of hacks, but there are other ones that require people to stay up to date to just have the knowledge of it, example are people that are scammed through discord server that the admin account or so is compromised and some others. It is easy to avoid online attackers, but it is worth knowing the latest ones that are also existing.

I agree with you. You need to understand how a hacker can install malicious software on your computer or phone. By understanding how to prevent this, you will always be protected from it. I'm not sure what you meant about administrators, but it is dangerous to trust anyone who is not your acquaintance in our time. Anyone who could be a friend yesterday can change today. Some scammers take a very long time to prepare the victim. Unfortunately, in our time, even offline, all moral principles are lost, to say nothing of strangers on the Internet. Having said that, I agree that it is necessary to monitor the news about fraudulent schemes. Once upon a time, many also did not know about phishing. It is likely that in our time, something has appeared that can also harm the user.
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And officially worst year for investors on: October 18, 2022, 04:57:06 PM
2022 is going to be the worst year for crypto investors. Any thoughts guys?

Some see disaster, others like myself see opportunity. Now is the time to buy assets whilst they are low. You can plant seeds that will give you amazing profits by buying now.

Correctly, You can divide those for whom the glass is half empty and those for whom the glass is half full. There have always been optimists and pessimists. Everyone showed what happened in the past. The OP calls this year the worst. But OP, a year hasn't passed yet, and you don't know what's to come.
Maybe one day you will say that you were very wrong when you said that everything is bad today. There have been and will be crises, but what we will take away from these remains only our choice.
2504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 18, 2022, 10:28:50 AM
You forgot that there are just as many people who lost their invested money and went bankrupt. If you only talk about the positives without warning people to be careful about using bitcoin, you will have many opponents who, having experienced the loss of their deposits, will take the opposite side. The post is very pompous. I can not say that bitcoin solves all problems. It all depends on the person. You should not turn bitcoin into an idol of wealth. A poor person can become richer if he can invest in bitcoin correctly, and it is not a small amount that the poor usually do not have that matters, and it also takes time. How many years of life have you measured for yourself? OP, by what age do you expect to become rich and live without problems?
2505  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Youtube Scam in Action on: October 18, 2022, 07:47:57 AM
0 likes, 3 views, what do you expect?

I really don't understand why this is posted here. You can begin to suspect the OP of cooperation. Is it not clear to everyone why different videos are created on YouTube? Are there really naive people who still believe that people will spend their time telling the world how to get rich? If one of these naive people hopes to quickly increase their capital, then YouTubers are exactly the same people. All this is done with only one goal in mind. And the goal is personal enrichment, not altruistic motives.

2507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency should be infused to academic systems on: October 17, 2022, 02:44:05 PM
I think you are in too much of a hurry. Until bitcoin is accepted by official regulators, all innovations will be in vain. In addition, information about bitcoin is becoming more and more popular, and it is possible to get full knowledge about it at any time when there is a desire. Young people can easily learn from available sources, and as you know, we are more responsible for what we have a real interest in and not for what the school curriculum obliges us to study. Allow everyone to choose whether they want to learn about bitcoin.

Since 1998, the US and Russia have successfully collaborated on the ISS along with other partners. However, since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, ties have deteriorated, and Russia had already threatened to abandon the project as a result of Western sanctions. According to NASA, no official notification of Russia's intention to leave the program has yet been received.

The International Space Station (ISS), a joint venture of five space organizations, has been orbiting the planet since 1998 and has been the site of hundreds of scientific investigations. The US wants to prolong it for a further six years with the support of all partners even though it has been given permission to run until 2024.

With the two nations striking an agreement earlier this month to allow Russian cosmonauts to travel to the station on US spacecraft and vice versa, cooperation on the ISS between Russia and the US had appeared to be relatively unaffected by the war in Ukraine.

However, other areas of Russian and Western cooperation have been harmed by the conflict in Ukraine. The European Space Agency (ESA) and Roskosmos no longer work together to launch rovers to Mars, and Russian Soyuz flights from an ESA launch pad in French Guiana have been suspended.

If Russia eventually pulls out of the International Space Station, What would be the implications of this decision for the ISS's future and world economy?

I want to belive that this is because bitcoin mining has hit the pinnacle of Moore's Law, which states that processing density doubles every 18 months, there are no more huge jumps left. But even so, as the race for more density chips is paired with a race for higher density data centers where thousands of these chips may be put, the network's mining power would likely continues to grow at an exponential rate. It's no longer a question of how much mining can be done with a single chip, but rather how many chips can be crammed into a building while still dissipating heat and delivering sufficient power.

2509  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal Flood Prevention/Sensitization Project. Any Ideas? on: October 17, 2022, 06:40:25 AM
Folks here can flood you them ideas here you see but Fam, you would write a million proposal to those fvckers and all they currently after is stacking those racks and bucks for the next presidential election coming up next year, they haven't settled ASSU init ? And you expect something positive still ?  A lot died already as the flood killed alot during 2AM deep in them sleep. That was painful, what's more hurting is loosing a fam  Cry

I think they know what's best to do, the fund's are there, it's just that, they political representative doesn't gives double fvcks, what we need is good roads and good dams to channel waters away right ? The dam can also serve a s a source of 24hours electricity which we haven't had for twenty plus year's. Jump on the internet and get ideas also. We have funds to clear all this, we just lack good Political representative and governments. October has been bad one for us 2020 ( out brothers died during Endsars protest and now peeps loosing them live's with flood )

I sympathize with your tragedy and support your opinion. Little depends on ordinary people. We are all noble in our desires, and everyone understands that there are flaws when any disaster happens, but the trouble is that our complaints do not change anything. If everything happens as you describe, then it is not clear what the governing bodies are waiting for in order to prevent the recurrence of floods. Maybe those figures of human casualties do not impress them? It is unfortunate that in the 21st century, during the development of various technologies, a person can still not argue with natural disasters. And the leaders of these countries are engaged in a tug-of-war for power instead of properly organizing the security of their people.

2511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes Dev different on: October 17, 2022, 04:59:12 AM
To stand out from the multitude of today's crypto projects, uniqueness is needed. Developers must surprise crypto investors with the usefulness of their project and the need for a blockchain, something that did not exist before. There is no need for developers to hide their identities. In addition, talking about their experience and projects in which they have previously participated can increase the level of investor confidence.
And also, if we talk about trust in age, you can remember the age of Vitalik Buterin, at which age he created Ethereum.
2512  Economy / Economics / Re: Running a successful business in most developing countries on: October 15, 2022, 07:36:31 AM
A lot of advice, but I would like to ask the OP, are these the guides that you took out of running your business, or is this a collection of someone's successful or not quite successful people? The link you linked to doesn't lead me anywhere.
But speaking on the topic, you can find a bunch of such guides on the Internet, but another point is important: everyone who opens their own business will have a unique experience. It's hard to fit it into one pattern. We all have different countries, different laws, different taxation, and different financial opportunities. That is why I would like to hear advice from the business owner and not copy-paste or paraphrase other people's advice.
2513  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ready to Learn on: October 15, 2022, 07:06:00 AM
My advice is read and do some research using google engine, everything you will read on here won't be correct at times that's why you need to do your further digging by yourself before concluding that the information you are been passed to is correct, some people will post like they know it all but wait for more replies before making up your mind.

Your Google engine has become corrupt, and today the information is more accurate here than anywhere else. Google loves money. Not everything that Google gives out is the ultimate truth. I don't know if you understand how sites are built and how ratings are bought. But I would rather trust real people on the forum who have experience than trust other sites that may be created by amateurs.
And of course, trusting someone or not is the choice of everyone, hence we tend to talk about our experience. But I try to completely limit my visits to Google and everything related to it.
2514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give new topics some time, you will learn a lot on: October 15, 2022, 06:47:55 AM
The advice is good, but, unfortunately, it will soon be hidden in history. OP, you forgot one important thing for newbies: they are impatient. They care about rank, and for this, they need to create a bunch of guides and open new topics to get a few merits. (sarcasm)  Grin
There were times when Ratimov sincerely helped beginners get one or two merits. What did it result in? A wave of new topics began, no matter what the information, plagiarism, or manuals, just to catch the eye of the merit source.
It doesn't work anymore, but there is a legend that you get merit faster if you start creating new topics. The legend works in the same way that you can get faster profits from alternative coins. People watch YouTube, and the date of creation does not matter to them.
Today, too, newbies are creating a lot of the same themes. For example, fennic, Lordsilvabtc, Dr.Bitcoin_Strange, Crypt0Gore, et al. Their enthusiasm is breaking records. You can just see how long it will last.
2515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every email is a scammer's target, open only if you are expecting on: October 14, 2022, 02:04:21 PM
A few years ago, there was a clever trick that in the title of the letter contained something like, “If you are not interested in this, just click on the “reject” button.”
At the time when a person clicks on a link or button, a huge amount of advertising begins to come to his address. That is, the mail address becomes known to spam companies. Sometimes, just hovering over a link can be dangerous. On some older Windows systems, the virus may automatically start. Therefore, it is always recommended to use fresh systems and update your systems and antivirus regularly.
2516  Other / Archival / Re: What a wonderful merit overflow on: October 14, 2022, 06:53:50 AM

Not necessarily a neutral feedback about merit abuse, but rather one talking about a possible linkage between hunnyfinance account to that of a serial scammer. I was thinking the timeline of events, including the sudden donation of merits to hunnyfinance was enough evidence to confirm that both accounts are linked.

In any case, this was not done by chance. We will soon be convinced of this and understand what purpose was pursued. Earlier, he also sent out 10 merits to new accounts for completely trifling posts. But all his accounts are now asleep. I think that the new idea will also fall asleep soon.
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Categories to check out before investing in a project on: October 14, 2022, 06:25:28 AM
You call yourself a beginner, and if this is true, then your overconfidence may lead you to disappointment. Look at Ratimov's recent topic. Does this statistic scare you? You can also check out the theme from The Cryptovator .
If you still doubt that it is not worth wasting time on alternative coins, then you can be called a person who chose the path of learning from his mistakes.
But honestly, following the advice of others will make your path easier.
2518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: October 14, 2022, 05:51:35 AM
Just go to the branch "Scam Accusations" and see how many kinds of fraudulent schemes are regularly described and exposed there. And that is, fraud on the forum is not regulated, and in the same way, you can get bad advice, and whether you follow it or not depends entirely on the person receiving the advice. On the forum, as in offline life, you should rely only on yourself. No one will tell you about the button, by pressing which you will certainly become rich. Therefore, you need to take full responsibility for making decisions.
2519  Other / Meta / Re: BAN APPEAL FOR IHUGBOGO on: October 14, 2022, 05:35:11 AM

These days it became common. Someone finds an alt and following the alt others brings more alts. If it continues and all these accounts are indeed alts then I am wondering how many unique users actually forum has?

The forum needs KYC sooner LOL
I'll need a special treatment though :-P

Would you like to make a roll call?  Smiley
People are greedy. Alternative accounts are not created out of love for the forum and not to increase knowledge commensurate with the number of accounts. KYC won't change anything.
As for the OP, he's probably already created a bunch of new accounts for himself.
Pandu Geddon, I have also seen general transactions, but it looks like people are dumping tokens into one basket.

Kuddos for finding this!
I'm very interested in OP's response to this.

I don't think it's enough evidence for ban evasion though: theoretically, Crypt0S0ul could have seen naim027's 2018 post and used that name for his email, but I don't think that's a very likely scenario.

They're both advertising BitcoinCleanUp.com in their signature now Cheesy

If we believe his story with CoinMarketCap, then the email with which he corresponded with technical support also has the login Silentsoul027. And it's not 2018 anymore.
Although, of course, he will call Crypt0S0ul again to clear up “misunderstandings.” But for some reason, they both receive mail to the same place.
