One think "eXocoin" (scam or not) is correct is that mining is essential for fair and wider distribution.
I know Nem like Nxt is designed to have have no miners, but short term one to four month mining (that has nothing to do with Nem protocol itself) could have been used for wider and more fair distribution.
Basically, lets say 50% are distributed to stakeholders and the rest are mined (like short 2 month mining period).
That would result in much wider and fairer distribution.
I don't think so. In my case ( just as an example) mining would be impossible. My notebook is as old as a granny and I like the idea of forging without having big high-end hardware. Furthermore NEM is purely POS/POI not POW.  That's fine for you, as you already bought shares, but mining is essential for wider distribution. I think it's time now to seriously consider 2 month mining period for 50% of coins distribution. That will attract much different audience and result in much wider distribution. Not only impossible at this stage but also not what anyone wanted. |

Taintanalysis leads me to believe that the following TX are connected (seperated by dotted lines). The accounts do not have any activity and seem to have been registered solely for the purpose of claiming stakes.
"?" means I could not find the username to the TX. I think some the masters of sockpuppets made so many TX that they forgot to use some of them. Also I only used the most recent list for finding the usernames so they might just not have qualified for the unified list.

What is actually going on with this coin, there is zero activity on the NEM repository. I realise there is a dev doc available but talk is cheap, where is the actual development? There are a lot of funds tied up in this and things seem to have come to a halt.
That repo is not yet in use. I can assure you there is plenty of developing going on. I'm not sure I'm allowed to publish the repo that is in use so I'm going to restrain from that. If you want to see what is being worked on just look at the trello board and you'll see that there are quite a few people active everyday. |

What's the current best guess on when instructions will be sent out to claim NEM stakes? I don't frequent the board frequently and just wanted to know when I should get back to check. Want to make sure I don't miss it.
There is no official ETA bit I'd check at least once a week allthough my guess is it'll take another month or so. The first post of this thread is being maintained to just check that for regular updates for the time being. |

Since public auditing will start tomorrow, UP will open a new thread to follow up. Can it be an idea to do the public auditing in our community forum? Just to create some interest for the future stakeholders to visit the site
While it's a good idea I think we should keep this here on bitcointalk. We should not create any more barriers. I don't want people to bitch later about how they did not know about the other forum and that's why they did not respond or make their case. Since there are no competing forums the community will move to the official NEM forum soon enough. |

This is a great coin and a great community and I am honored to be added to the development team. Just so everyone knows a bit of my background I am a professional software engineer, with 10+ years industry experience and 20+ years of programming experience. I currently have a role as lead developer of a multi-million dollar industrial product line. I have also made fixes and contributions to several other coin projects. I am confident that I have the experience and ability to take on this role.
I am working right now to get the development environment ready. I hope to have a new client version available within the week.
Thanks to this great community, I have high hopes for the future of CGB!

Great news guys! We have a new lead dev, at least for the interim! I will announce soon. We will be releasing new clients as soon as possible which will include new checkpoints, a bug fix with listaccounts vs getbalance and a new splash screen (gold logo with new slogan "Earn. Store. Multiply").
Very nice ! Have you thought about expanding the dev team a bit ? AFAIK merc was really the only dev so progress was slow becaues one guy can only work so much but. |

I am guessing I am not on the list as it looks like my account may have been only setup for 'multiple stakes'. Simply put, that is false.
I did setup up the account for NEM but that was only to gain my SINGLE stake. Truth is, I am new to crypto's, read the forums everyday, but do not post as I am not yet savvy enough to contribute with meaningful content. I am still learning.
Please update the stake holder list to include me. If you need further proof that I am a single person with a single stake PM me and we can figure something out.

I have just read the blog post on the CB site, and I just can't believe what a childish and selfish rant it is.
If he felt that way, then why go ahead and take it out on everyone who has invested their money into CGB by dumping his holdings and crashing the price like that effecting everyone involved. How can anyone respect someone who would do that? Did he not think of all the people who have put their faith and money into CGB?
First of all do we know it's him dumping ? Secondly what if he's only telling the truth ? What if elambert really is the dick he describes ? (I'm just posing a question, I'm not saying anyones a dick) Last but not least: How is CGB going to recover if madesparq not affilliated anymore ? Wasn't that the one thing we were all waiting for ? |

Well I think merc didn't lie in his blog post so I'm going out on a limb and say that elambert might be a nice fellow but obviously is not willing to put in the work for CGB. Also how is CGB going to find a new lead dev (one as good as merc too) with merc blog post there. Which dev will read that post and think "Yeah that sounds like a job I'd love to do.". Colour me worried as fuck ! |

I introduced a couple of my friends to CGB and they bought in at around 0.0011 last week (first time putting money into crypto), told them it was a solid investment  .
