I just received an email from Mercury stating he has resigned from the CGB development team in order to focus on other projects. My apologies to the community as this was not expected and has caught me unprepared. Good news, I think the dumping should subside now. Bad news, it will take a little time to build the development team. The lead dev position is the immediate concern and will be my focus to resolve as soon as possible. Again, my apologies to the community. We will rebound and be better than before.
Just read this. This explains a few things that have been happening. Sorry to hear merc has left, he obviously had too much on his plate for one individual. But maybe a transition to another developer would of been more appropriate. This leaves a great opportunity for someone to take the reigns, and a great opportunity for buying also. No worries elambert, I know you are an honest straight up guy and this must be as much of a shock and disapointment to you also. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger!

time to double your positions boys and girls Put some bids in. I need someone to sell to. give me some time ... i just bought some from the sell-side with all the btc i had on exchange (not much). more btc coming in. will probably set up a few ridiculusly low bids for the panic-people to jump into ... sell it down another 60% for me please. I know i am mean, but what else can i say when you want to sell on the lowest point of the year?

This caught everyone unprepared. CGB future looks pretty weak, sadly to say. I've lost more than half of what I had before. All to take from this is a lesson learnt.
Many of us (self included) have lost more than 80%. The project can recover with a new dev team. Price is irrelevant to prospects, but I would just point out that the total market cap., at ~$250k is for ALL the issue (unlike most of the other coins compared), so its just option money now (cheap)

Well I think merc didn't lie in his blog post so I'm going out on a limb and say that elambert might be a nice fellow but obviously is not willing to put in the work for CGB. Also how is CGB going to find a new lead dev (one as good as merc too) with merc blog post there. Which dev will read that post and think "Yeah that sounds like a job I'd love to do.". Colour me worried as fuck !

Panic? There are many things wrong with this coin that now make it, at best, a mediocre investment. I will just leave it there. Good luck.

The lead developer has abruptly left the project and sold his stake. Regrouping and rebuilding are in progress.

He probably started dumping a few days ago when questions were raised about huge numbers showing up at ridiculous prices.

that was what i was understanding. Also the richest adress seem to take in cgb instead of selling it. Some marketing would be vital i think in the future. I would recommend marketing with focus on punchlines like 'honest, solid product' since people will want to come back to an established altcoin that can be trusted to an extend after lots of people being ripped of by all the new PnD-scams. I hope this mission will be success. I'll also spread the word about cgb as soon prices become sort of stable again.

I have just read the blog post on the CB site, and I just can't believe what a childish and selfish rant it is.
If he felt that way, then why go ahead and take it out on everyone who has invested their money into CGB by dumping his holdings and crashing the price like that effecting everyone involved. How can anyone respect someone who would do that? Did he not think of all the people who have put their faith and money into CGB?

First of all do we know it's him dumping ? Secondly what if he's only telling the truth ? What if elambert really is the dick he describes ? (I'm just posing a question, I'm not saying anyones a dick) Last but not least: How is CGB going to recover if madesparq not affilliated anymore ? Wasn't that the one thing we were all waiting for ?

It is a sad turn of events. Others here know me and have known me for some time now. I am not a dick and have been with CGB since the start through many ups and downs. I do have a family with a young son, a full time job and another business so my obligations are many. Each story has 2 sides and I will not get involved in a personal back and forth public character attack battle. More important things on the horizon. I am heavily invested in CGB and will continue to work with the community to make it a success. I do know for a fact that it was Mercury dumping the last weeks. He confirmed as much in an email.
We are moving on now and I will no longer discuss Mercury Stills nor MADEsparq.

Mercury sounds perfectly rational to me. That guy was the coin.
Every possible effort should have been made to keep him happy. More coins, more support, more anything the hell he wanted.
Now, you are calling him childish? What is wrong with you people?
Now you have a perfectly good coin, but it is not that different from all of the others. He was your star and you let him go.

Very mature response. Two sides to every story, but I tend to believe the guy that takes the high road vs the guy that dumps his shares and collapses a project that many had invested their discretionary income into.

very personal. not professional.
also need to add that those fat-as richest adresses should thihnk about giving some bounties for the people who work on the coin while they are the ones profiting without doing much. Someone with a stake of dozens of thousands of cgb should give out some to bring forward the coin. If those richest people don't do it - nobody will. So the richest holders need to give some kind of financial support. That applies to other coins also i think. Just hoarding into the sky and nothing else is not going to be great.

I still don't understand why you would dump all your CGB and undercut yourself on the price. Could have divested slowly and made more money.

Great news guys! We have a new lead dev, at least for the interim! I will announce soon. We will be releasing new clients as soon as possible which will include new checkpoints, a bug fix with listaccounts vs getbalance and a new splash screen (gold logo with new slogan "Earn. Store. Multiply").
