2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: January 21, 2016, 01:42:53 PM
Not many because pvp online games can be cheated, at least most of them, however someone could make pvp games for us to play with money, it's not extremely complicated, the only problem is getting traffic to the site but I'm sure with something like pvp where there is no -EV for anyone a lot of people would play there.
Are you talking about multiboxing and playing with your multiple accounts? This type of cheating is possible only if you are manually choosing your opponents and player base is relatively low.
If some sort of matchmaking will implemented and player base will be high enough (I am talking about 1000+ players) you can't really cheat the the system.

2503  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make 17 BTC out of 7 BTC ? on: January 19, 2016, 10:58:43 PM
No matter how many people will tell you, there will never be a get rich quick scheme.

Creating wealth requires hard work. Make sure to stay away from scams!
Yeah, tell that to all early adopters. And people who 'toyed' with bitcoin at the beginning. Now they are bitcoin multimillionaires in some cases.
I bet many of current users of bitcointalk believe that bitcoin in the future will had similar drastic rise of price. This is the reason people seriously believe that it is easy to create 17 btc from 7.
2504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I feel pity for Mike Hearn on: January 19, 2016, 10:26:35 PM
I feel pity that Haern is so immature and whiny person. If he don't like bitcoin and the community then why in the first place he was part of the developing team?
He thought that every changes he propose will be accepted without questioning and he will be bitcoin emperor or something? And when it is different story he got angry, really?
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post: 'R.I.P. Bitcoin. It’s time to move on' on: January 19, 2016, 06:21:16 PM
First of all it is all in your mind. Bitcoin is still the best, the biggest and won't fall because some angry developer is dissatisfied that his solutions were not accepted.
Bitcoin will change if we really would need that change asap, for now it seems that network capable of surviving for now despite fatalism of Haern.

Wait, what? We had some official poll about the best online bitcoin casino or something on bitcointalk? Could someone post me a link to the post with the results?
2507  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes PrimeDice the best? Or one of them? on: January 19, 2016, 04:11:14 PM
PrimeDice is one of the oldest bitcoin Dice sites. They have build an enormous reputation over the years. People believe that their platform is scam free, Stunna is legit owner and their deposits are safe there.
Trust is the most important factor in bitcoin community where scams are unfortunately rather frequent.
2508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Paul Vernon take a lie detector test? on: January 18, 2016, 07:28:37 PM
Lie detector or not - it does not change anything. He lost the BTC he was responsible for, he is guilty anyway - defrauded or not.
The fact that Cryptsy was operating even despite such loss and grabbing deposits from people is even more problematic.

As some of us said, lie detector is not the best and not ideal form of finding out the truth. Just forget about it.
2509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is satoshi POLL on: January 18, 2016, 07:19:46 PM
Op you probably should add some positions to the poll, such as: 'some unknown guy' or 'we will never know' etc.
This poll is meaningless speculation anyway, all I know is that Dr. Wright is DEFINITELY not Satoshi, he is fame hungry individual, backed by nothing but fake evidence.

DirectBet seems to treat business seriously, their platform is growing and I didn't know that they have even dedicated wallet for gamblers.
Just be aware guys, money in online wallets are not fully under your control, online services can be hacked, bitcoins stolen or in worst case scenario defrauded by wallet providers.

As for the bankroll limit I have my weekly limit, rather than daily as I don't gamble everyday. It is usually my payment from signature campaign.
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: January 18, 2016, 06:59:39 PM
I usually play standard casino games, but my favorite type of games are 'experimental' titles. I like to test new sites and games based on new rules.
I played pachinko for some times, tested new types of poker (Pai Gow) rolled some slot machines etc. Variety is the key in gambling entertainment imo.
2512  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Who would be the best person to take over Cryptsy and run it as the new boss? on: January 17, 2016, 03:20:25 PM
Paul Vernon can't continue as the boss of Cryptsy, right? So who should take it over buy them out and run Cryptsy? Don't say Mark Zuckerburg.

buy out..??.. no
it needs to be handed over FOR FREE..
vern should not financially benefit from the issues he caused to many people
We all know that is not gonna happen. I am not sure what type of company is Cryptsy but I suspect it is limited liability company which means this type of business provides its owners liability protection against company actions and debt similar to a corporation. In short, he won't pay anything to anyone as a result of his failure.
2513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Paul Vernon Step down and resign as CEO of cryptsy? on: January 17, 2016, 03:07:51 PM
I think Cryptsy can be bought out but Vern must step down in my opinion. What do you think? Huh
He failed as a CEO, of course he should resign. Cryptsy is done for, his leave is the only logical conclusion.
He is the captain and he should go down with the ship. But does it matter? It is not like Cryptsy has any future now anyway with or without him.
2514  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice gambling method #1 - Use wisely. on: January 17, 2016, 02:54:16 PM
I wonder how many years it will take for martingale to become less popular.

Perphaps if more people would invest their time to play with dice simulators for a while, to see how martinagle really performs, and how "hard" it is hit a streak of 10+ losses.
Probably never. You can easily draw that conclusion after observing any gambling forum, bitcointalk gambler's section as well.
We have players coming here every week and claiming that they 'found' the best gambling strategy for Dice - martingale.
2515  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Question] Sports Betting Turnover on: January 17, 2016, 02:33:47 PM
You need to net 240 USD in total before you can withdraw the bonus.

It can be 24 x 10 bets or 240 x 1 USD bets, as long as you "turn over" 240 USD.

Depending on your strategy, this may take a while, but it was free ofcourse!
I made $90 from that bonus, so 150$ left. Cheesy
Interesting, can you post update of your bet status here? You bet 9 times already without losing a single bet?
And in addition I am quire sure that bet that qualify for that promotion are only the above 1.5 odds.
2516  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Question] Sports Betting Turnover on: January 17, 2016, 11:51:36 AM
It means you have to bet at least 24 times before you will be able to withdraw your potential win + bonus.
2517  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Beginner here! What mining hardware should I use? on: January 16, 2016, 03:52:30 PM
To put it bluntly. If you want to mine on your own and your budget is $1000 you will be better to buy bitcoin now and try to speculate/arbitrage trade with it.
Days of solo mining are gone, you are too late to the party, bitcoin is mined by specialized ASICs farms controlled by Chinese miners.
Unless you have aces to some really cheap high hash power ASIC gear and free electricity don't even try to think BTC mining.
2518  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetCoin.TM Bitcoin Casino | Poker | Slots | Sports | Live Dealers | And More! on: January 16, 2016, 03:48:34 PM
the bonus doesnt work on live dealers? i just tried it and it shows that my balance is zero, still im able to play other games with the bonus, i hope i will manage to win a lot and withdraw
Apparently that is correct. Some people reported this before, too. I don't know is there any reason why betcoin.tm decided to disable bonus when you are trying to gamble with live dealers?
It is intended or it is an omission on their part?
2519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Skill Work? on: January 16, 2016, 03:36:58 PM
It is hard to draw the line between luck and skill if you are talking about casino games. We can agree that some games are pure chance based and only luck will help you win - Slot, Bingo, Keno, Lottery, Roulette etc.
But in games commonly viewed as more skill based: every type of Poker, sport betting and black jack - even if you are exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable with no luck you can't win.
2520  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice gambling method #1 - Use wisely. on: January 16, 2016, 03:24:55 PM
Oh yeah, here we go. Martingale strikes again. It is very old betting system but this method has a flaw and that is the chance of you losing at any one given time doesn't change.
Imagine that you're flipping a completely fair coin  and it lands on heads 10 times in a row, while that event is unlikely, the chance for you to flip a head next time is still 50%!
Also, the amount you must bet in order to win back your original wager increases exponentially, as you lose. So it is possible to use martingale only if you are 1. gambling at low rates 2. have huge bankroll.
