Thank you so much for categorizing the competition plus I do think it's amazing that through Roobet we do have some creative section now in the forum.

(This time I would try and invest more time in whatever I draw. )
2502  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] ★ BTCGOSU Mini Signature Campaign ★ - ★ Senior, Hero/Legendary ★ on: September 07, 2020, 04:15:25 PM
Hey guys,

round 4 has passed and I would like to thank you for your support.

I have just updated the spreadsheet - please note that all in all I am not happy (pretty disappointed to be exact) with our "performance" and there are several removals since I am significantly going to restructure the campaign moving forward. No hard feelings here but I have a budget and I need to figure out the best way to help grow BTCGOSU.

This means: The GOSU campaign is going to be continued for another round. Also, the campaign is now "invite only", which means CFNP to the public. If you feel you are a quality contributor who can help the project, you are always welcome to hit me up via PM.

Payment for round 4 will be sent by the end of the day and I will post an update as soon as it's done.

Thank you for posting evaluations would be helpful if you could state what the problem was.
Have a nice day

I stumbled across an article where they discussed about games which don't have a house edge and I do think you would be interested in the same.

The source is stated below :

This site particularly has what you are asking for but I haven't tried it yet myself
2504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card counting in black jack on: September 07, 2020, 08:12:50 AM

It seems very simple but does it really work ? Did someone try it ??

I can't vouch for my self but I have seen cases where people get banned on a casino or ask to leave the casino if they were caught card counting and basing on how the casino owners respond to card counting it seems that it works and if the person who is card counting is left alone they have a higher chance of losing to the gambler.

a little offtopic: I wonder if card counting works in black jack in an online casino(not live black jack).

That's interesting but I think that in live ones the developers already would have done some limitations in the code to prevent such actions being done by other players.

Since when we are talking about playing online against a program ; it does have all the datas and such ; therefore I think I won't go that far to try it online but offline ones are something that can be tried on .

I am not aware there is such a counting trick in black jack. I am only relying on my guts to stand with the cards i picked. Usually losing on that game though since I always had a bad luck on black jack or maybe not my game since I most often play dice and mines.

Anyway, let me try that trick next time. Who knows, if i have a good seed and luck then probably this will works.

I think even before that you have to practice ; don't loose money unnecessarily or maybe don't play for much ?

This trick doesn't need much thought and such it's simple 1+1+0-1-1 ... Etc.. therefore it's something that we all can do ... At the same time try and associate a big number with an animal or a thing this way by picturizing that number you will be able to remember it more.
2505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Gameplays and Strategies on: September 07, 2020, 07:08:04 AM
Well poker itself have many games inside it ; I do think most of the people here already explained you about the basics of the game.

I do think you would be benefited by card counting if you are able to keep up with the numbers ; it's a perfectly legal way to calculate the odds in your favour.

So I do think it would be helpful for you to check that out.

*_*

At the same time I saw that there are numerous videos on youtube that would help you out ; instead of words The videos and hands on experience would help you.

- play with your family members
- practice
- play against software
- more practice!!

I do think it would take a lot of time and effort because I think it's more of a experience+strategy and a lot of mind goes in this game.

( Best would be to learn from your grandpa Tongue )
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: quantum computing on: September 06, 2020, 01:25:56 PM
I did a search and it looks like the last time a QC topic was active was more than 3 years ago. That struck me as surprising because I though that QC could pose a threat to the security of BTC keys.

Google has been making exponential progress in the power of their QC machines. I believe I read an article saying that it is possible that within five years QC might be able to crack 128 bit encryption (the stuff bank websites  use). I'm not that well versed in the technology of QC. It's just been something I've kept up with in relation to its possible effect on BTC.

Is the consensus here that QC will not be able to crack private keys?
It's not just Google but many individual companies which are onto this project but unfortunately the government is not giving that much freedom to these companies to be able to execute a fool proof plan . Right now the quantum computer which is fully functional is too big to be even carried in by some normal person . You might have to ask for a truck to come.

The security issue with the keys will always be there but what I understand for sure is:

The government sites are more vulnerable as compared to Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrencies and therefore they would prevent any future attack for sure.
If one goes down everything will go down for sure.

Therefore I believe that the quantum computer will come with a lot of restrictions and therefore we don't have to worry much about it ; someway in the future we can also integrate the quantum computing in the Bitcoins and other mining machines this way it would not only be more secure but it would change the whole thing.
2507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Card counting in black jack on: September 05, 2020, 09:03:58 PM
So I do know one thing that counting cards are banned in most physical casinos but if you can make it work then I do believe it works most of the time.

So how does counting card works ?
For:
Card no. 2-6 = +1 { good to remove these cards from the deck}
Card no. 7-9 = 0{ forget these cards }
Card no. 10-Ace= -1 { Do not remove them }

One needs to keep a running count of all the cards around and with multiple decks one can just divide the total running count with number of decks .

The more positive count the more the player is going to win and for the negative count the player is in a bad position; now it's completely legal in some places but banned in most .

It seems very simple but does it really work ? Did someone try it ??

Is there any card counter out here who did win most if the bets he made ? Please share your experience.

I still think it's an interesting thing to learn.
2508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: All your entertainment things must have an external limiting feature, agree? on: September 05, 2020, 06:10:14 PM
When your mind at stable state, you may assume like you have all the control over yourself. But when you are too excited with your adrenaline triggered, your assumptions definitely go upside down. This is the simple reason why we do come across lots of addicts everywhere. Yes, not just in gambling but with any other activities, which makes you feel like too excited or too aggressive may end up making you an addict.

When an activity is capable of making you feel like a child (due to rush-up/emotional stir-up), you must need an external help to limit you.

Gambling is capable of enabling you to time-travel. Yes, you will forget all your stress of your family problems and your work pressures. So, get back to your time of present, you must need some limiting feature in terms of hours. It can be from a mobile alarm or a friendly warning from family members but a perfectly working one should be what that casino itself not letting you to continue, agree?

Limiting feature may not be needed for a physical casino as you cannot stay there all the day but definitely needed for online houses.

I believe this is time for demanding such limiting feature from the all our crypto gambling houses. This may not work in their favor hence we cannot expect them to agree on hearing such a demand on first time itself. But, when gamblers start supporting a house with such a feature, other houses may start implementing it.

A change for good cause may start only when we voice out!

Think about talking to your gambling houses not just for you but for all other fellow gamblers who never realize their addictions.

It is being tried by the government ; there are places where you are supposed to prove that you can take loss and such.

At the same time due to COVID-19 there have been many restrictions.

But when we talk about casinos which are involved with cryptocurrencies; there is much harder to imply these things.

Crypto casinos are harder to limit in regards to these things ; unfortunately privacy always comes in between but I do think a lot of positive things can come with things like these.

Physical casinos are actually all about making people gamble more ; all the senses are engaged and with the use of science . Therefore I don't think they will agree to these kinds of limitations. But it is for sure needed.
2509  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Bitseno ⭐ Bringing Crash to Real Life (online & in-house gambling) ⭐ on: September 05, 2020, 11:13:49 AM
You guys have to work it out and I do think provide a even thorough statement about the site :

How it would work?
Why is it a better option?
Is it safe?
Is it fair ?

Things like that , because there are numerous sites out here therefore you have to make yours stand out !

At the same time provide users with more options ; XRP is a hit how a days due to its low fee ; take care of the fee payment since now due to increasing price of Bitcoins the withdrawal fee is sky rocking and people are unwilling. Maybe you can provide them with a more sustainable and stable option ?

This would not only attract more customers but at the same time it would be a positive point for your site.
2510  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Win any BlackJack Hand | Strategy Calculator on: September 05, 2020, 08:13:34 AM
This is very Questionable.

The fact is if there existed any calculator like this then for sure it would have been long used by people.

A war between a computer generated program and a human us always won by a human since these things are actually influenced by a lot of factors:

You have personal errors
Environmental errors
Errors with the usage etc...

At the same time I do believe if you are playing black jack online with a computer generated program it's already well equipped to handle such things .

..

Until and unless we are successful in analyzing the code used in the game and then Making a counter one or just a +1 ; I do believe the house will always have an edge.
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 04, 2020, 08:52:47 PM
So recently I came across a post where the person asked for help since he was addicted to gambling . I decided to research on this topic. Not just Gambling as a whole but also Gambling related to COVID-19.

I did understand for a fact that due to Coronavirus people will gamble less!! Since there is literally no jobs and money for a common man right now.

BUT!!

According to a survey and research conducted :

"Due to the stress of COVID-19 people tend to gamble more."

Even though the offline casinos are closed the online gambling is as lively as ever. Gambling when done in moderation is a healthy sport but when it's done excessively especially at a pandemic; it might cause a lot of concerns ; not just related to money , but having an addiction might permanently change your life .

A questionnaire for everyone here:
Quote
Are you a problem gambler?
Try this questionnaire:

Do you bet more than you can afford to lose?
Do you need to gamble with larger amounts of money to get the same feeling?
Have you tried to win back money you have lost (chasing losses)?
Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?
Have you wondered whether you have a problem with gambling?
Has your gambling caused you any health problems, including feelings of stress or anxiety?
Have other people criticised your betting or told you that you had a gambling problem (regardless of whether or not you thought it was true)?
Has your gambling caused any financial problems for you or your household?
Have you ever felt guilty about the way you gamble or what happens when you gamble?
Score 0 for each time you answer "never"
Score 1 for each time you answer "sometimes"
Score 2 for each time you answer "most of the time"
Score 3 for each time you answer "almost always"

If your total score is 8 or higher, you may be a problem gambler.
source

For the people who are suffering from these problems , I decided to list a very reputable website which could help them:

www.gamcare.org.uk

_*_*_*_

Am really sorry for the losses of everyone but I do understand for a fact that addiction is something that we can beat using two things :

1. Support
2. Willpower

Be strong ..

-_-_-

Please take this questionnaire and list your score ; Do share your thoughts on the same.

*_*

Stay safe everyone .
2512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is Going to "DEAD....!" Need Discussion..... on: September 04, 2020, 06:50:18 PM
You should understand some things:

1. There are more countries now open towards Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies

2. Much more people know about it ; to the extent that they are even studied in the universities.

3. Bitcoins even though it achieved all time high in 2017; it's more useful in 2020 due to the Pandemic thus people have pretty positive reviews towards it

4. It's not about the price
Price matters for the people who are in the market only because of profits but for the people whose lifestyle saw a big change due to cryptocurrencies; who are earning part time due to Bitcoins ; its different.

As for me usage is more of a priority compared to price. For me it's more valuable in 2020 Cheesy ; supporting my family through this pandemic it's something that the government couldn't do.
2513  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| September 2020 on: September 04, 2020, 03:09:00 PM
This is outrageous; I do understand for a fact that the gambling sites and other sites needs to consider this if they do have to keep the customers coming.

They can set up a percentage in USD not dependent on the Bitcoins. This would even protect the companies from taking losses during a low time.

Fact is when people think about choosing XRP coins and such they don't want to go through the trouble of changing it to Bitcoins later on for long term holding and therefore the solution needs to be done for a permanent basis.

Right now I do think that people wants to gamble more since the value of Bitcoins is fairly good , let's see what the sites view point will be on this problem.
2514  Economy / Economics / Re: 2020 Money is king Again Good news on: September 04, 2020, 11:20:49 AM
First of all we are in the middle of a Pandemic

Government is trying to balance out their losses by Printing money excessively

-Due to This the value of the currency is decreasing drastically
At some places still it's not evidentially seen , those countries are right now living under a bubble and people are right now facing inflation unarmed

Healthcare is detroiting
At places only the rich can afford healthcare for the corona virus

Despite the government regulations the industries , to earn profits are forcing the citizens to overpay ; if they cannot they are not getting even a hospital bed

Yes right now Money is the most essential resource to take care of you and your family.

But that's unfortunate.
That's now how it should work ..
2515  Economy / Economics / Re: Remote Working and Inequality on: September 04, 2020, 10:34:03 AM
Unfortunately, the companies consider it ; unprofessional at the same time at home they do think there are disturbances at home which can actually link to these things worsening with time.

They don't really care about the stats but at the end of the day they choose to ask people to come over even though it means they are risking their health.

It's not just jobs but also colleges, we used to have classes from 8-4 , no one used to focus for more than 4 hours and now we are having the unnecessary lectures online , most of the time we slept in those. The university does not need knowledge, all they need is presence.

These things needs to get evolved. Coronavirus can actually make sure that people can get a better chance at improving their working and studying conditions.

So anyone Want to argue with. Me about economy More??  I Think no point!

I Can Even predict what Will be happening next year.

Why wouldn't have you been right ?

-Australia was devastated from natural causes long before COVID-19 came

- The cases are far better as compared to other countries

- Just 2 days before one of the biggest performers in the market did suffer a huge dump in the value

Quote

Even though we wouldn't have had this news still there would still have been cases of money being printed , not just there but in every country around the world , its a pandemic that we are facing that's normal.
2517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality 2020 on: September 03, 2020, 02:12:26 PM
I do understand one thing here though : the odds are really low , If we do calculate the probability here .

There are 30 people , only one would get the prize.

Therefore the probability will be 1/30

The percentage would be : 3.33%

Now if I do place the bets it would not really be in our favour. Therefore I do believe am going to skip it since no one can actually perceive what's going on in the mind of judges.
2518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling sites should be careful of bringing eSports in on: September 03, 2020, 08:18:38 AM
Kids should never gamble for sure , these sites unfortunately are trying to maintain privacy and at the same time if they ask users for ID verification most of the times it fails to attract most of the people who are in for the privacy part of cryptocurrencies.

I do believe we need to actually do something like :
Create an alternative where the age of people can be well documented, maybe the government can provide age pass for 18+ people. Some e-pass nothing else. Attached to your fingerprint.

This way they can use it for gambling , for sites which are adults only etc..

I do think this would even stop the illegal porn activities by youngsters.

_._

The age factor is very important to be controlled, they can fall easy into the gambling web and loose control.

Bitcoin maximalists are doing more harm to the crypto space than good ?

Discuss ...

"maximalist
noun
a person who favors a radical and immediate approach to the achievement of a set of goals or the completion of a program.
"

...

Bitcoin is not a "game" that can be completed. It is a protocol and eco-system of digital cash and a store-of-value (i.e. digital gold).

Bitcoin (BTC) is the first digital commodity money of the internet.

Bitcoin's monetary (intrinsic) value is primarily derived from electricity, cryptography (math) and time. Markets (and arguably $ price) are secondary.

The very first Bitcoin exchange rates were established as such (before this, Bitcoin remained entirely valueless) ...

"The exchange rate is the average of the adjusted bitcoin production per day divided by the average production costs per day. The per day averages start with the previous day and will eventually extend back 365 days, but until then, they increase by half a day each day by taking the average of two averages. Production costs consist of the price of broadband Internet and metered electricity. The adjusted bitcoin production is the following spreadsheet calculation =if(M2>N2,((B2+F2)/2)*(1/(3-((N2/M2)*2))),((B2+F2)/2)*(3-((M2/N2)*2))) where M2 is the available balance of dollars times the exchange rate of that same day, N2 is the available balance of bitcoins, B2 is the amount of bitcoins produced the previous day and F2 is the average of the adjusted bitcoin production per day."

"During 2009 my exchange rate was calculated by dividing $1.00 by the average amount of electricity required to run a computer with high CPU for a year, 1331.5 kWh, multiplied by the the average residential cost of electricity in the United States for the previous year, $0.1136, divided by 12 months divided by the number of bitcoins generated by my computer over the past 30 days."

...

Bitcoin Maximalism

Bitcoin maximalists, who's favorite hangout would currently appear to be the self described crypto twitter, mostly seem to affirm that nothing can ever be an improvement to Bitcoin.

This is IMHO a malignment not only to Bitcoin itself, but also to the entire cryptocurrecy space in general.

Primarily it stifles innovation, creates a false single viewpoint narrative and to be frank some of these folks are starting to sound like a broken record for "Number go up", idiocracy. Free markets are free, numbers go up and down.

Plenty of ideas, testing (and code) from other altcoins and blockchains have contributed changes incorporated into the existing Bitcoin (BTC) project, and vice versa of course.

Some altcoins and other cryptocurrencies do have some unique advantages over Bitcoin currently, namely;

- Better privacy / anonymity features.
- Faster transaction / confirmation times.
- Useful PoW schemes
- Smart contracts etc.,

Whilst Bitcoin (BTC) will always remain the first true cryptocurrency / market mover ...

Remember: Bitcoin is an Open Source project, so do try to keep an Open Mind to other projects and innovations within this space.

Cheers!  Smiley

The thing is they are specifically investing in : Bitcoins and therefore they prefer bitcoins over any other cryptocurrencies which inturn creates a bad example on behalf of them but at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opinions.

You can support Bitcoins but that does not give you any right to actually say bad stuff about other cryptocurrencies since most of them are integrated with each other , thus creating an ecosystem that supports bitcoins and their own coins too .

I remember the time I did a post about ERC20 tokens integrating them with Bitcoins being favoured by marketers all over the world , I did get a lot of negative comments . Having an open mind can go multiple ways, if you support Bitcoin's it does not mean you have to say negative stuff about someone's hard work , it takes a lot of time, investment, hard work, initiative to actually bring your token out in the market , we need to respect that.
2520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police reportedly seize South Korea's largest crypto exchange Bithumb on: September 02, 2020, 03:43:17 PM
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has reportedly seized South Korea's largest crypto exchange Bithumb for alleged fraud.

South Korea's oldest newspaper, the Seoul Shinmun, reported the news on Wednesday, saying that Bithumb's offices have been raided. The exchange is reportedly accused of pre-selling native BXA tokens worth about 30 billion won (~$25 million) to investors and then not listing the token, which has allegedly led to losses to investors.

Bithumb is said to have issued BXA tokens in 2018 concerning its acquisition by Singapore-based BK Group. But that deal reportedly didn't materialize. Bithumb chairman Lee Jung Hoon is also said to be under investigation by police on charges of escaping property.

The Block has reached out to Bithumb for comments and will update this story should we hear back.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/76692/police-reportedly-seize-bithumb-south-korea-crypto-exchange

Not really the fault of the police here , since here it was literally the fault of the company and therefore what they did was completely justifiable.

They had to seize it and investigations needed to be done regarding the company . I really don't know what they were thinking, one needs to at least follow the rules when it comes to things like these and the rule was pretty blunt. They cannot sell tokens before the listing , why did even the token company allow this ? Did they really think that the buyers won't complaint ?

The company needs some firm laws , at the same time it does need a professional attitude towards these things, this is why the idea of cryptocurrencies scare some people, this is so close to the scam and the allegations were quite correct.

If you are dealing with cryptocurrencies professionally you are also holding the name of Bitcoins and your actions can really soil it , therefore at least be respectful regarding what you are doing while dealing with these things.
