1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Not just money but oil is most important in the World on: June 14, 2021, 05:50:27 PM
I do think that right now considering the recent technologies, the renewable sources of energy are getting adopted more and more and therefore for the time being even if oil is an important asset, it won't be for long, there will be more options that we will see in the near future. Oil will ofcourse be necessary for the production of by-products but it won't be used so widely.

Even without such reasoning, it only takes common sense to understand how important oil is and that people would exchange anything just to get a hold of it whenever possible. This is because of the fact that oil and its by products are the most needed necessity of our innovative world that desires even more innovation. Without oil, this world will go into chaos. Just try to imagine a wold without oil, could we have gone this far? I don't think so. And is we still want to get even further, more of this thing is needed.

Well what we are talking about is " crude oil " used to make many things like petroleum jelly etc. But considering the recent innovations there are countries starting to use plants like jojoba to extract oil , which is not only affordable but also green.

I do believe that due to population explosion we might have to not only consider other options and substitutes but the power will also fluctuate since whosoever is successful in innovating a better and greener alternative, that country will have more stand in the world.
1542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big companies finally had enough of the excessive tax on: June 14, 2021, 05:19:12 PM
Quote
In a bid to raise cash for the financial year amid the struggles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani has reintroduced the tax, which was removed by President Uhuru Kenyatta in July last year.
I understand that people can become emotional everytime they see tax hikes or new taxes to be implemented but can we have the numbers before and after the tax  was removed?

The proposal would tax the gamblers and not the casino or bookie. These companies thinks it would affected indirectly since one of the aim of the law is to discourage players but does that really stop them from gambling?

Hi
Let me quote something from the internet :
Quote
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has signed into law the country’s Finance Bill, which removes the 20% excise tax on sportsbook stakes that led to local operators Sportpesa and Betin exiting the market.

The tax had been included in previous years’ budgets and was raised from 10% to 20% when last year's Finance Bill was passed in September 2019. This increase led Kenya’s two largest operators, Sportpesa and Betin – which were each already embroiled in tax disputes with local authorities at the time – to put a halt to operations in the country.

Well previously the tax was 10%, but suddenly doubling up the tax created a big probelm. Then on June 1 the president said that he will remove the tax etc ... Which made people hopeful and now 20% is being implemented. Therefore it's very weird situation, all going up and down ⬇️. Making the big companies go forth and oppose this decision, which was honestly needed.

Sometimes I do think that gamblers should not carry a very heavy burden in terms of taxes because they often lose more than win. I guess majority of the gamblers are losing in total. They may win at times but lose most of the times. But I of course understand also that gambling is mostly nothing but a way for those who have the money to waste it so it is all right for them to be taxed heavily wasting money. I think a proper consultation among the stakeholders should be done prior to the implementation of this new tax policy.

Yes but at the same time we have to think about the people who win also and then loose a lot just because of such rules.
- Plus this is going to effect not just the players but also the companies and the sports clubs. It's complicated.
1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Amateur Traders Cause Bubbles on: June 14, 2021, 04:43:15 PM
A study done by the New York Fed suggests that when trading in an asset becomes dominated by amateur traders, it tends to form asset bubbles.  The study further noted that amateur traders do not aggregate private information well and show lower levels of strategic sophistication than professional traders.  It pretty well explains the volatility that dominates the Bitcoin market without being a study about Bitcoin.

Fed Report:  https://www.newyorkfed.org/medialibrary/media/research/staff_reports/sr939.pdf

But aren't people using this bubble for their own benefits? It's honestly the way people make money through cryptocurrencies. For me the Volatility is a positive thing if you know how to use it.

See when you learn anything it takes time and effort. If the amateur traders are engaging in trading they are learning a lot !! Soon enough they will have adequate experience and good strategy.

Now, study says a lot of things. Plus what do they intend to do using this study ? Ban amateur traders? Have them give a test to see who is intellectual and who is simple ?

According to my opinion,
Let this study be a study and don't think much about it, it's not worth our time.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: George Soros and Bezos have paid almost zero taxes on: June 14, 2021, 12:33:03 PM
Ofcourse such things should have been published already out in the open in every newspaper, this way these people will themselves realize where the problem lies. I do think that most of the times they fund political parties and at the same time are involved in numerous things we don't know about. Therefore the democrats do make rules always in their favour.
Much like what Kylie Jenner did on Instagram, asking for people to fund for the operation, when she was honestly so capable of doing so herself. This is nothing but a political view. People need to be taught that in schools.
When we are talking about the idea of "taxable incomes", we should understand that rules change every now and then, plus people are always willing to hide the most that they can. Plus since they are rich and powerful , they always get away with it. It's easier to bribe an officer rather pay so much tax!
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: June 14, 2021, 08:41:24 AM
In the current pandemic, gambling can be a means to be able to earn income and also entertainment when bored at home.
It is undeniable that this pandemic period is the toughest time for many people where all human activities are stopped and can only be done at home and online gambling is the choice that most people choose to stay productive.
many online gambling sites are advertised on social media and so on, and don't forget to do your research before doing it and be careful in choosing it because many fraudsters take advantage of this opportunity.
Gambling ?
Income ?
Even though there might be some people who do get lucky once in a while with gambling but there are many more who at the end of the day loose a lot and some of them even get addicted causing long term probelms.
I do believe that people should never even consider gambling and Income on the same page. Since this post was made on May 16, I can say that since then in my country there have been a lot of changes. Everything is open and at most places you don't even need masks. It's almost a month from the date. I do believe that in the upcoming days due to more and more people getting vaccinated we might see very different scenarios. Online gambling platforms Will continue to flourish. There are better deals and more choices.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Big companies finally had enough of the excessive tax on: June 13, 2021, 06:24:37 PM
20%? Is this even real ? Most of the companies not related to gambling pay lower than 10% but not the same in Kenya when it comes to the sports gambling. Now the biggest football clubs have joined hands to oppose this rule.

Quote
In a bid to raise cash for the financial year amid the struggles caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani has reintroduced the tax, which was removed by President Uhuru Kenyatta in July last year.

“Excise duty on betting at 20% of the amount will be wagered,” said Yattani, which would mean that the amount would be levied and passed on to a person who has won on a bet, which according to Yattani would also help discourage betting in the country.

But AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda and Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier argue that the tax will negatively affect betting companies supporting local teams and lead to the withdrawal of their much-needed sponsorship.

Both Shikanda and Rachier explained that betting firms have consistently supported football in the country, cumulatively delivering Sh1.6bn (US$14.8m) from 2016 to 2020, and therefore should not be punished through stricter tax measures.

In the statement, Shikanda and Rachier said the return of the tax would cause current league sponsors BetKing to withdraw their sponsorship, explaining that the excise tax was one of the reasons why SportPesa left the Kenyan market in 2018.

“The enactment of the 20% excise tax will unequivocally rule out continued sponsorship of football clubs across all tiers (National Super League, Division 1 and County Leagues), with the net effect of rendering the operations of most of the league teams unsustainable,” the joint statement read.

Now this is not just :
Unsustainable and unreasonable but according to them "ill timed", their whole sponsorships will be effected. This high taxation will also cause gamblers sore.

During pandemic the gambling is a huge income source for them and the government alike. Therefore I do believe that either they should have done it slowly or done it after the pandemic.

They are now asking the government to reconsider it.
{This is exactly the kind of news we need because this shows how the democratic countries can move forth and oppose such things, not always the tax is legit if served by the government during such times}

What do you think ?

1547  Economy / Economics / Re: USA dollar and USA economy are Not Same on: June 13, 2021, 05:46:54 PM
"less spending"
Not something that people will follow up on. You have to understand that this is not how it goes. Ofcourse the economic stability of the USA will be dependent on :
1. How many people choose to vaccinate themselves this year
2. How many jobs are created in the USA
3. Efficient handling of other issues.
Etc.
For me I do not think limiting our spending will do any good. For me it is something that is on a different scale for everyone. Plus it would only be efficient if the people are actually spending thousands of dollars !! Which a common man is not doing.

Biden government will not halt the money supply or prevent the money from being printed entirely because it's pandemic and more or so they need it. It's only bad if done in excess.

Plus even if dollar and economy is not same they are strongly interrelated thus we can see a lot of similarities in the graph.
1548  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits Self Exclusion NOT Honored on: June 13, 2021, 05:12:26 PM
Hi
I understand what you are saying but I think you need to think about the fact that when you want to gamble impulsively, you will. Even if the account if banned you still will have many chances to do it again on other platforms.
-For me I have worked with Duelbits but did not get any probelms since months ! They have an amazing support team for that.
See these kinds of things are tricky because I don't think they would have ever received such messages therefore they might have to consult and go forth.
-on the other hand you can use various applications to ban or restrain yourself from various apps and sites. They are widely available everywhere. Now this you can do instantly.

Addiction is a very strong issue and as I see you are aware of it and want to take an action. Please try and block your payments also stay away from social media for a while that would help you getting wrongly influenced. Pick up a hobby, be an artist of some kind.

I hope you can steer through this time and understand that it's very easy to blame others, this is how our mind tries to play games to save itself from the resentment.

Please understand that you are the one controlling your urges to gamble and put a full stop at it for once. Pandemic is hard enough.
Have a nice day
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey is now speaking up on: June 13, 2021, 04:37:59 PM
Jack Dorsey is one of the popular people that are into Bitcoin.
It's become normal now that Jack Dorsey keeps promoting Bitcoin, he even went to Bitcoin Conference in Miami recently.

And in Twitter, you can see a lot of crypto people there compared to other social media, which extremely good social media that is not strict when it comes to cryptocurrency.

I think not just him but many other influential people are into Bitcoins these days. Some might show and some might not and at the end of the day I believe it's amazing. At least he is one of the people who actually cares about Bitcoins and are not just in because they want to exit after making profits like Elon Musk..

Jack is just one individual among many billionaires that have come out publicly to adopt bitcoin in recent times. This move has helped bitcoin to gain a wide range of adoption and price increase recently.

Price increase should not be the first moto I believe since this does not last long and at the end fails drastically when people starts exiting out after gaining a lot. Price gain is also making the whole system Volatile. Slow price gain on the other hand might be stable and would attract more people.
( Would be closer towards a one world 🌍 currency)
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Using renewable resources in Bitcoin Mining on: June 13, 2021, 08:02:04 AM
Within few days the forum is flooded with topic regarding how El Salvador is making Bitcoins a legal currency. Honestly I was not so sure that it will be a great idea considering how the Volatility is reaching similar heights of 2020. But there was an article that not only we are overlooking but is also a leap in the industry.

El Salvador color going to use Volcanic sources of energy to mine Bitcoins

I do believe that we all understand how renewable sources of energy and their integration in Bitcoin mining was something that we needed since a long time.

This is how you correctly move forth with such decisions.
For me it's a really big news since I don't see that we have seen such steps on a big scale yet.

Way to go !!

1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: June 12, 2021, 06:28:41 PM
Indeed, there is no such fight as "Risk free"
You have to understand that if a player wins even 1000 times there is not 100% probability that he will win the next time. There will always be odds that you might not be able to analyze right now.
-I will bet for fight ofc but would not set it in my mind that I am going to win 100%
-Whenever I would bet, I know that what I am doing is risky -I would only consider doing it, if I am economically stable , not because someone in the Gambling section feels that we have something called "risk free" bets.
This is a mere delusion.
It can give you good odds but never 100% wins everytime.
1552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Hope Impoverished Nations Become A Bitcoin Network on: June 12, 2021, 05:57:58 PM
I believe they can really afford to take a chance. I am not so sure about the Nigerian government giving full support regarding Bitcoins but I do know that at the end of the day it would be something which is positive and efficient for the whole society. There is a lot of Corruption and probelms are everywhere for them, therefore if they use Bitcoins correctly! They can take care of this. They can track everything, connect it with people and incase they see any suspicious activity then ofc handle it.
At the same time they can increase the demand, not only local but internationally too because the bitcoin market is honestly very big. They can get a lot more interesting offers if the local businesses starts integrating Bitcoins. It's a whole bag of opportunities they just have to learn to use it in a good way.
1553  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump regrets not banning twitter as he hails Nigerian government for doing so on: June 12, 2021, 05:23:34 PM
Funny
Honestly you don't need to consult a psychologist to know what's going on in his mind.
"You banned my account! I will ban you from my whole country ( if I could)"
First I used to actually get angry about his behavior but I do believe that his mind is that of a teenager therefore these things don't even matter much now. He is no more a forceful influential person. He is just trying to grab attention. I do believe no matter what good did come out of banning Twitter in Nigeria, at the end of the day people should not be banned from using social platforms, it's more or so their rights. They can go about any probelm in a different direction for sure.
Why do people criticize North Korea ? People do not have any freedom at all !!!! Plus this seems like the first step to creating a space like that.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin as legal currency increase interest in Sat on: June 12, 2021, 03:48:06 PM
What I do believe is that, you do not need to buy Bitcoins according to the norm of the society, you have to check your economic conditions and then move forth. If you cannot afford to invest in Bitcoins as big as thousands of dollars, there is nothing wrong with that.

The good news is "you can make profit even in 100's" at the same time if you do believe you need more Bitcoins then do nothing but invest a small amount every month but do not take loans etc. For me personally it's very weird.
This news is definately going to boost the popularity and I hope the price too, but either way I do believe the country have to take care of the economic situation too delicately , this can be a disaster too if not handled in a proper way.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that this cryptocurrency/bitcoin boom poses a threat to Earth. on: June 11, 2021, 06:59:34 PM
The threat is in the form of increasing global warming which results in climate change. Generating Bitcoin requires a capable computer to solve complex mathematical puzzles and high electricity consumption. so that some countries prohibit mining for several other reasons such as in China and Iran some time ago. if so will bitacoin and others be able to run forever or is this just an excuse to change the green field to red..

The fact is most of the things poses a threat to the environment. Microplastics in your toothpaste or even the small plastic bag that we get from wallma often..be it cars or be it big companies making necessary products. The whole concept of nonveg meal and even a simple milk. Now what people are doing here is , highlighting just one problem because they see other alternatives which do not require heavy mining machinery but forget that Bitcoins will stop being mined after a small amount of time but the long term effects of other cryptocurrencies are strictly the same.
Now they want to deviate the people but rather they should think about asking people to use renewable sources of energy. They can integrate it with their machines and viola ! Probelm solved.
1556  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg is incapable casino ,Owner of site begging to remove post with EVIDENCE on: June 11, 2021, 04:49:08 PM

I am not sure about this, but I see Magalon on some channels and he has these red devil eyes! On the screenshots provided by OP, Magalon's picture is without these glowing eyes! Honestly, I am not sure when I noticed glowing eyes for the first time, but some time passed for sure...
the conclusion is simple, this conversation even if it's true, it's old!

It may I guess took more time because some gambling sites will investigate those big winners if they win it in a fair game way.

Most gambling sites have this in their ToS!!! Some of these sites have this notice for every withdrawal you make! BC.Games, for example, yesterday when I withdraw some coins there was a notice "Any huge amount will be manually inspected and processed", or something like that... anyway you get the point!
_______________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________

I am playing at Chips for months... I never had problems with deposit/withdraws! As we can see OP had some issue that is resolved... it took just a few days! I would say it's great! Just a few days! I had problems that needed a lot more time...

Here we had the conclusion.
OP with -2 trust now posting unreasonable and fake screenshots, trying to defame someone without any evidence.

Plus *begging* ??
I am not sure anyone will do that.

u guys out of ur mind to see chips.gg is incapable and begger owner wants me to delete post lmao hope u guys dont have eyes to see images

am here for people who has plans to join site and get shit if they win lot....
Hilarious. Anyone can make big statements, but legitimate proof is what matters at the end of the day. The screenshots that you provided could have been edited or distorted in order to frame Chips.gg.

You made wild accusations against Rollbit, BC.Game etc in the past too. Also, I observed that you thanked Magalon sometime in April for a successful withdrawal.

Your fickle behaviour coupled with your negative trust point out that you aren't someone worth trusting. You aren't fooling anyone here.

What makes me wonder is "why?"
OP,Do you even care about your image and the image of people here ?

It takes a lot of run a successful business site. Let alone be gambling therefore instead of doing such things you should think about "laws on defaming and lying in your country".

Quote
Magalon has fixed the issue and let me withdarwal everything is good with chip.GG  ~ appriciated  trusted <3

What is this ? That you posted on April 16 ??
This seems weird!
Then again new post at June 10?
I do not know why you are doing this ?
At least check your own post history!!!!
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some millionaires hate Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2021, 04:00:08 PM
Some wealthy people have expressed their disdain towards Bitcoin. They believe Bitcoin is a scam or Ponzi scheme backed by nothing. Figures like Warren Buffet, and even Donald Trump himself believe Bitcoin is a sham. I'm surprised to see this, since Bitcoin brings many profit opportunities to its "hodlers". For some reason, millionaires (or billionaires) hate Bitcoin. They usually support Gold and Fiat, not wanting to try something new like crypto/Blockchain tech. Justin Sun tried to convince Warren Buffet to get into crypto a while ago, only to find that his efforts were in vain.

Thoughts? Huh
Few of the reasons I can think of :
1. They do not want people to become rich suddenly, Bitcoins is mainly redistributing the wealth in the whole world and that's why some people are very happy but many are sad too. Which is absurd, finally something that is making the economic gap smaller
2. Some of the millionaires woked hard for every penny and worked on their slow and stable Investments so no billionaires think it's crazy to take such risk, plus for them investing in gold and land is the only thing that might work. Mainly people who are older have such thoughts and at the end they influence the whole public by such things, but they should understand that no one has such money to start our with, with BTC you can even invest 1$!! There is no limits, no caps !
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling tax proposal in Ukraine on: June 07, 2021, 06:53:30 PM

Quote

I see this as a plan to discourage Investors from going into gambling business so as to reduce the rate of gambling practices in Ukraine. Hiking license fee would not only shake the investors it will also make newer investors have a rethink if they would go ahead and invest or not

Nevada have like the lowest tax rates around 6.75% and at the same time the gambling winnings are taxed at much much higher rates, consider USA , they have to give like 24-25% of their winnings !! This is outrageous. When you are talking about gambling company as an investment 0% tax rate is there is the investor directly holds 50% or more. Which is quite a shock to see the government keeping gambling aside at 10%.

But then again I think it's reasonable as compared to other state authorities. If you compare it with the prices in the whole Europe, you will be shocked.

You have to pay 23% if you have a gambling company and 35% If you have a slot machine !!! Therefore Ukraine is much better in comparison.
1559  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anonymous against Elon Musk and his BTC and crypto market manipulations! on: June 07, 2021, 06:36:40 PM
"The higher you go the harder you fall". This clown makes rockets and doesn't know this, imagine how smart he really is.

I think this will apply to Elon Musk completely and one day a book will be written called "The rise and fall of Elon Musk".

Arrogance, narcissism and greediness never end well.

Sad thing is it won't happen. The richest have all the power to control the whole thing and at the end of the day they can get out of this also.

Manipulation won't go for long people will understand it sooner or later. The man is trying to control the market. He is just making his own profits and even though his Twitter some of those people did make a lot of money but he sold Bitcoins without any disregard for the market.

We will see how Musk responds (or doesn't). Anonymous can really do damage if they want.

I hope they do.
Elon Musk did something despicable for the whole community but we now have a face behind the Manipulation usually we do see everything from the shadows but do not know who to blame ? There are whales and other investors who are here just for the money.

I'm still not too sure about the video, because just on the pretext of 1 video it can't be used as a reference that will have an impact on Elon Musk. To be honest, I don't really understand how this issue can be such a hot topic to discuss. and so far I did not find a response that is serious enough and Elon. although the video mentions Tesla to increase its presence in the electric car industry.

all this news, has a hidden purpose.

Hidden or no , it shows us at least that people are considering his actions and making sure he does know that things like these are not logical and ethical. Some people might have lost a lot his this whole charade.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ban, koo opens up. How will this play in Nigeriann business environment on: June 07, 2021, 05:35:39 PM
Banning of Twitter ?
I have not heard of this but the Nigerian government is becoming more and more corrupted in my stance. They are not only banning cryptocurrencies but at the same time they are also banning Twitter, maybe to prevent people to associate themselves with political crimes and other things but it takes away their freedom to express themselves, on the other hand Koo might be something that is controlled greatly by the government, therefore they might track you down so it might not be a good idea to discuss your financial situation and at the same time your ideas. What the Nigerian president did was definitely wrong but I feel like everyone on the twitter usually uses their freedom in a weird way.
There will be financial losses 100%
There will even be public uproar
I hope they consider this decision and change it soon.
