2501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 04, 2022, 02:23:19 PM
Logan Paul is not Buster Douglas nor Mike Tyson is twenty years old. I don't like this comparison guys. Mike had 58 official fights in his carrier and whats about Logan? 1 or 2? I don't say that Logan is a bad boy but Mike Tyson was in another league.

You don't have to compare these two people because Mike Tyson is indeed incomparable to Logan Paul or the other way around and Mike is a professional boxer while Logan is not, so it's totally nonsense to compare them because as you said, Logan Paul is way out of Mike Tyson's league.

If they will fight, it's just right to compare the two so we can choose which is the better fighter. As per the predicted betting odds, it was Mike Tyson who was the favorite to win, and of course, as a gambler, I am not surprised as his popularity makes him the favorite although he is fighting a very young boxer (not professional).

What do you think about Kai's Future in the NBA?

Map-pick ba ang 7'3" center na si Kai Sotto kung mag-declare siya para sa 2022 NBA Draft?

Kai doesn't need to play in the PBA, he seemed to be playing impressive basketball with his current team now in Australia, and if the scout will notice him, he could choose to get drafted in the 2022 NBA draft, and if that will happen, he will become the first Filipino full blooded NBA player.
2503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 04, 2022, 01:30:57 PM

What a player. I really admire his ambition. I have my doubts about Lakers but if AD and Lebron will be healthy, things still can get much better for them and even a success at the playoffs can be possible.

That last shot of Davis almost sink in, but the luck is not on their side, both teams played a scrappy defense, and in the end, it was Reggie Jackson who came out as a hero because he didn't panic and I can tell that the guy is really clutch.
2504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: February 04, 2022, 08:28:51 AM
Am well aware of the risk associated with trading and building those skills are not an easy job but too many, see trading as an easy venture until you get in then you will know what it takes to be a good trader,

That's because cryptocurency has made it very accessable, you can basically buy any worthless coin and it gives you huge return especially in the bullish market. Speculators that does that see themselves as traders but they're nothing close to becoming one. After they record this luck, they utilize social media to express their joy and other do the same thing hoping to receive similar results. Some do and majority doesn't and the cycle continues.

Social media makes it easy to disguise yourself as a successful trader with the pretending and posting fake proof. Imposters have use this to deceive many into buying their course or following their signals etc. They make it seems like trading is an easy thing to do and the noobs buy into the lies they're selling without realizing they're going down a path not many become successful in.
This is the reason why noobs should never rely on social media because they can be detrimental as it seems. They have to learn on their own and consider their experiences as their best teacher in trading. Trading will never be an easy task, and making profits needs extra effort, otherwise your trades will certainly end in losses. But trading will always be learned. And if you have discipline, mental toughness and positive mindset, you will always succeed in trading despite of its market's volatility.
2505  Economy / Economics / Re: If you don't buy don't come here to complain on: February 04, 2022, 07:51:31 AM
They can only complain and complain without doing anything, even if they are given a second chance, I think they will do the same. Because basically they don't want to do any of that.
Those types of people don't brave to buy any crypto coins, they are too afraid of the risks in crypto investment/trading. We know that nothing can be instant to achieve success. There should be obstacles and challenges, no one can succeed without them. Crypto provides a chance to gain huge profits, but it has a high risk. If someone cannot deal with the risks, he will never get the possible profits in crypto investment/trading. No matter first chance, second chance, or third chance, there will be always risks in crypto investment.

Not just for crypto alone, but in all types of investments, the risk will always be there. And as they say, when you decide to enter crypto, then you have to be mentally prepared. Those who have been making huge profits by now have come to absorbed that, and they are not afraid to take the risks. However, we can't blame those who keep skipping the chances to invest because crypto creates a lot of hype and some are even thinking if bitcoin is not a bubble or a ponzi scheme. But one thing is certain, they will always regret if they stay having negative mindset, making them the last to realize that bitcoin is the future.
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was finally able to purchase an iPhone 13 pro max using my Bitcoin on: February 03, 2022, 09:20:22 PM
~
Well, as long as you are happy with what you did then there is nothing wrong with it.
There are some who are saying "Why did you do that?" or "You might buy more IPhones when you hold it longer". For those who are saying like that and the like then I think its wrong to dictate what the OP wants to do since its his own Bitcoins that he used to pay it.

I can feel it because I already did twice. I bought 2 different phones and a computer using not Bitcoin only but altcoins as well (I converted it into fiat since they aren't accepting Bitcoin and altcoins as payment here) and its very satisfying to use your cryptos to buy something that you like Smiley. Why are other people doesn't want to spend their Bitcoin? At first place it is a "currency" and we know what is the definition of currency right?

The only downside to this is the phone is depreciating while Bitcoin is appreciating but as long as you have stable source of Bitcoins and you are happy then there is nothing wrong.
OP has all the right to spend his bitcoin whatever he wants to because in the first place, he earned and owned it. I'm glad he was able to enjoy the fruit of his labor and hard work by buying his dream gadget. I think he is not sharing this for us to criticize his decision, but its clear that he wants to encourage us that there is more to bitcoin aside from hodling it as a store of value. Bitcoin is a currency, so its intended to be used as a payment in the end and not to be forever stored in our wallet.
2507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Goldman Sachs projection regarding BTC on: February 02, 2022, 10:01:11 PM
Again I remind projection here proves one thing and one thing: price appreciates over time in long term.
Not only Goldman, but a lot of big names have already predicted that bitcoin will achieved $100k price but there are no fixed dates, and until now it remains a prediction. However, Goldman already reveals that the road to $100k for bitcoin will only happen once the investors will see it as a digital gold. Read it here: https://cryptoslate.com/goldman-sachs-reveal-how-bitcoin-can-reach-100k-in-2022/

Still, there's no guaranteed date when will all investors see it as a digital gold.

That was sort of the point I was trying to explain,,, it is not the first projection of 100k, remember we even had people bet on half million and 1 million price in 2016. This is SIX years ago and it did not come true at any one time,,, does not mean if 100 people predict it and 100 supercomputers insist it,,, that it comes sooner.

I guess all of us on forum believe it will happen. Just I feel nobody will be satisfied about the actual timeframe.
We all believe that it will happen because that's exactly we want bitcoin to be. But we are not aware on how hard and tough the road before bitcoin  reaches its target price. In fact, bitcoin at the present is even struggling to surpass the $40k price resistance level, so the prediction for $100k during bearish season have temporarily stopped. Except Goldman that he's stressing out that if people will come to see bitcoin as a digital gold, that's the time the price of $100k will be achieved. I know its possible but i don't think it will happen this year.
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors defeat ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: February 02, 2022, 02:08:23 PM
There is a high possibility that blockchain competitors such as binance smart chain, solana network and even polygon network can defeat ethereum blockchain if the problem regarding gas fees cannot be resolved.
That is, if the problem will not be resolved. Because based from my research, the developers of ethereum smart contract blockchain are looking forward to upgrade it and transform it into ethereum 2.0, but there is no definite date that has been mentioned. However, even if ethereum smart contract high gas fee issue will not be address asap, i only see slim chances for other ethereum alternatives to beat ethereum. That makes ethereum the leading smart contract blockchain in the crypto market.
2509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are all the bitcoin's Moon boys ? on: February 01, 2022, 08:53:48 PM
All those videos and posts are just clickbait titles to increase their views. When the price of bitcoin starts to increase, crypto currencies become a trending topic. Those "influencers" and video content creators take the opportunity to boost their views and channels. So they make those unrealistic prediction and videos because they know that people will click and watch those videos to remain hopeful. All those predictions are baseless and only for creating FOMO. Avoid them.

The fact is that only a few content creators on YouTube create quality and informative content. Most content creators only think about how
they can increase the number of views of their videos, therefore we will find lots of clickbait titles on our YouTube homepage. Avoid watching
channels whose video creators don't have good analytical skills. Because I found quite a lot of channels on YouTube that predict the price of
Bitcoin without a clear basis. So content creators just give their audience what they want to hear, such as predicting an unrealistic Bitcoin price.
Because most newbies are easily influenced by unrealistic predictions, that's why when Bitcoin price is bullish, there are many Bitcoin price
prediction videos popping up.
This is not surprising because most of the youtubers are only after for their own personal gains and interests, as if they're sharing genuine knowledge but the fact is they are pulling us away from the reality in crypto. And newbies also believe in them because its the thing they want to hear and believe. And now, reality blows. Those bitcoin's moon boys have become mute since they have nothing to say anyway when the hardest part of crypto happens.
2510  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: February 01, 2022, 07:41:49 PM
It's no bad decision if borrowing cash both in fiat, in the cryptocurrency sphere and also for gambling,I see nothing bad with such, like I could attest to the fact that I borrowed some amount of money to gamble, strictly football gambling and I wasn't able to pay back in the first two months.
It might work for you, but not for all, at last I got to pay after too many loss.
What I think is demanded is a good mindset, a change of your old mindset, not everyone will want to take this risk, not even the poor nor rich.
A good plan, strategies and taking calculated risks matters.
It is mate. It is bad to borrow money and then use that money in the actual gambling. The OP also talks about gambling but its a different one. Investing in crypto is another form of gambling but it is less riskier especially if done on good set of coins. I say less riskier because cryptos are volatile.

You might be losing today but you never know maybe by the time you woke the next morning your already in profits. This is the good thing in crypto. Gambling is more of a personal hobby or personal interest and its not really that beneficial if we borrow money to feed our personal interest because there is no better returns that we can expect.
That is, loans should not be made for personal interest and gains. But if you borrow money to invest in crypto, i would say, yes its a better idea but not really significant. Because there is no assurance that you will make profits consistently, and no assurance that you can pay your debt in time. As long as volatility matters, crypto will always be unstable. But it does give us a huge income, but not in a frequent basis.
2511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: February 01, 2022, 01:34:53 PM

This is the kind of fight that we would like to see, champion vs champion or the best vs the best. Ugas used Pacman as his stepping stone to have bigger fights and it's a dream come true for him because after Pacman, he now will face Spence, and who knows it will be Crawford next.

It's a battle that he should take, instead of playing safe and fighting the challengers without a belt, he chooses Spence who is better than him in the eyes of the many. It's about time for him to prove that he deserved to be in the top 3 of the welterweight division and that starts by beating Spence in this fight.

Ugas is not like that. He is just going with the flow. Even in a doubt that he can beat Pacquiao, he still accepts the replacement. And now that he won, guess what, it's opened a door to another big opportunity by defeating one of the strongest in the Welterweight.

Spence still has the chance to win but Ugas shouldn't be taken lightly. He is the most determined to win here based on my own observation.
Ugas has the heart to win, but a heart alone could never win matches, he also needs strength, focus, and intelligence.
A lot of people's perspective towards this fight will be Ugas as the underdog with a very slim chances of winning, but I myself see it differently. No matter how strong Spence is, If Ugas pulled the right play for it and control the early rounds, he will have a good chance of winning.

No doubt it's the scenario we will witness if Ugas has the better strategy on this fight. Spence is the heavy favorite, that's understandable because he is a more popular fighter and has some bigger fights compared to Ugas, and also comparing the record of the two, Spence has a flawless record and has been a champion for a while already.
2512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 01, 2022, 01:13:09 PM
I think Mike Tyson would rather have another exhibition fight against a former professional boxer/former champion, instead of wasting time with Paul brothers. That will be more interesting and competing, than just participating in youtube boxing drama.

Btw, Paul brothers dont show much interest in their fight too. They dont "heat up" the situation around the fight. I think because they and their promotors are not interested in their loss. Who would watch their next fight if they lost to a professional boxer? They have proved that a pro beats amateur and there is no interest in next fight. The book is over.

So you are saying that Paul Brothers just want to ensure a win? Jake Paul is undefeated, I get it, but Logan Paul is not, he loses to Mayweather in his last fight, and yet he is still hype in the exhibition world of boxing. I guess the most important here is the "money", if both agrees to the purse, then most likely nothing can stop this fight.

Of course they want to keep undefeated. Who is interested in a regular person that has lost to a pro? No one is interested in a looser. Specially if a regular person looses to a pro. If a pro looses to a pro then it is different, as he has a career. But if a person, who today is a boxer, tomorrow is a, a singer for example, and yesterday he was a youtuber. Would there be same interest in him?

P.S. Logan did not lose to Mayweather.
P.P.S. Mike told that is not very interested in money. He would rather shut trash talkers.

But with good boxing matches lined up, I believe, the hype with exhibition fights are slowly losing their popularity. They can still get audience but the anticipation is different with professional boxing matches. Like what I've been observing here, Thurman vs Barrios, Casimero vs Butler, Brook vs Khan, Spence Jr vs Ugas -just to name a few that boxing fans are looking forward to. But if these Youtubers will make a noise, they can still attract spectators. But for serious bettors, I believe, they will still prefer the professional matches.
No, not really.

for example, Mayweather made $9m on an exhibition fight against, kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, a Japanese fighter, and he finish the fight in just 1 round. You see, it's actually about who is fighting, whether it's exhibition of professional fight, it doesn't matter anymore now.
2513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 31, 2022, 06:35:33 PM
The likes of IMF refuse giving loans for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with adopting bitcoin. If anything, its bad money, which doesn't even really exists and yet is used to extort whole countries.

Getting refused by the IMF after adopting bitcoin is something to be proud of. It is a clear message to the world that, no you don't have to depend on them and their schemes anymore. And this, is what that is all about, a country going independent of a despotic financial institution that everyone in Latin-America and the Caribbean hates.

The world will celebrate the closure of the IMF, WB, Central Banks, and finally fractional reserve banks. No more bubbles and crashes, just like the Austrian economists proposed a century ago, no more trash money, save your own money to invest instead of getting in debt and become a slave to them.

Bitcoin is independence and freedom.
That is very pleasing to hear. But i doubt if El Salvador is already stable enough to stand on his own without making loans from IMF or any financing companies. Because as i have read, El Salvador is the fifth poorest country in North America in 2021 so most likely, creating loans can be a good option so that this country will start to take progress. In fact, investing in bitcoin added to their previous loans and currently, Bukele is buying more 410 bitcoin to add on their investments so that only means El Salvador is in need for a huge funds to sustain the country's progressive economic condition.
2514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 29, 2022, 09:57:06 PM
That is the nature of trading.

Indeed, that is the very nature of trading, to ride along the movement of the market. But doing technical analysis that enable traders to make decisions, based on the forecasted market movement plus the experiences, is just being wise but not necessarily competing with the market.

Ride and make a profit, that's all we have to do as volatility will remain, and hence we should view that as an opportunity. Whether it's bullish or bearish, we should be flexible as both market situation could offer an opportunity for us to earn depending on how we see it. As the market is very unpredictable, and it follows a trend or cycle, we should be aware that the bear market will eventually come after the bull market, and that's where we need to use our strategy.
2515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 29, 2022, 09:36:11 PM
Who likes the Heat -3.5 against the Raptors?

Heat is 18-5 at home and 14-9 ATS, I think they have a decent chance here, besides, looks like Butler and Adebayo will be playing.
I also like the under 209.5, as I think it's going to be a defensive game and a close game.
2516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 29, 2022, 08:56:28 PM
It's a nice match for the veterans in boxing, they passed their prime but they are still fun to watch. I'm surprised that Khan is the favorite here. I will never bet on him, he has a glass chin and I guess Kell Brooks would take advantage of that and will target Khan's weakness.

I'm also surprised that Khan is the favorite here but I'm sure that despite his weakness people were able to notice his aggressiveness on the ring too. Khan has a tough fight with Canelo so I guess it will be another tough match for him again. Kell Brook has been really consistent and he's too experienced so it will be a challenging fight for Khan.

Not really sure where you get your odds, but checking sportsbet,

Khan - 2.35
Brook - 1.53

So clearly Brook is the favorite in this fight. And we all know that Khan is way past his prime already and has been knockout because of his glass chin.
I double checked the odds as well and it seems like OP has interchanged the names and it should be Brook who should be the favorite.

And there is no amount of strategy or practice that will prepare you if you're chin is as weak as Amir. Because once Kell hit that chin, Khan will have a problem because Brook can still pull the trigger even at his age.
I guess the odds explain how weak his chin is. Making Khan the underdog in this fight makes me think of backing him, I guess I have previously stated that I'll bet on Brooks but 2.35 odds is better than 1.53, and since both of them had past their prime, the underdog could upset the favorite here.
2517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 29, 2022, 08:34:26 PM
Nice to see that's there an update now regarding the fight. At last, the official date was release. We are seeing good matches in the 2Q of this tear, not just with our boxer but for other big fights as well.

April, the month to wait and we will now finally see Casimero returning to action.

Hope no more medical issues as Casimero will lose his title as stated on previous post.
Hear the news as well and I think that’s enough time to train and heal the injury with Casimero, this is a great news finally. Casimero really have to fight Butler or else WBO will make their final decision with regards to this one. Now we can talk about betting again, hoping for the fully recovery of Casimero since I’m rooting for him and I still want him to see fighting Inoue after this match.

That's enough time for him to be healthy again and to be fully conditioned. After winning this fight, there still plenty of time to train for the 2nd fight this year, and hopefully that will be against Inoue. As of now, Inoue is free as he already beat his last opponent, so all Casimero has to do now is to win impressively so Inoue would be interested in fighting him.
2518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 29, 2022, 01:42:05 PM

I doubt he'll ruin his name and career by not showing up for this fight. I know there are rumors regarding him faking the illness but if the WBO confirmed the evidence he showed, I believe that he was not faking his Illness.

It's not fake, it's real, otherwise, he will go to jail or will lose his license. Casimero has proven not feeling well that time so he was not stripped with this belt, for the 2nd time, he is given another chance to defend his title and I'm sure he will do just find and beat his challenger.

Casimero is on his way making his name to be more famous in the industry and I don't actually believe that he will do that because surely Casimero himself know what would be the outcome if he suddenly decides not to show up and it's just a rumor that he's just faking his illness that's why he was hospitalized but there's some videos in the youtube that can vouch his actions.

If I'm not mistaken, Casimero has history of having problems making the weight.

But I think this time there will be no slippage, because he knows that once he failed to show up or missed the weight in scale he will be strip of the belt on the fight night itself. So his team should really be careful of what he eat. Although there are still months before the actual fight. They should at least manage his weight by now, as early as they can so that there will be no cramping and huge drop in weight days before the fight because it will put a lot of strain in the body.

As for me, I have not remembered anything that he has a problem with weight before, I think that was the first time and that was just a rumor as the reason that was recognized by the organization on his absence is the "viral gastritis". If he fakes the justification of his absence, then most likely he will not succeed defending his title once the fight will happen.
2519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 29, 2022, 12:56:22 PM
I also checked bookies that I usually bet and it's weird that the fight odd is not listed when fights that is months from now are already there. Maybe there is no hype in this fight, nevertheless, we still have weeks before the actual fight and maybe as the fight gets closer to the date, sport bookies are going to open the line.
It's not weird, it's just normal, even the fights of Inoue and Casimero who are both champions, the odds were not also released early, so the same thing is happening here, all we have to do now is just to continue following the update and wait until the odds are out.

Quote
And I wouldn't be surprise if Ancajas will be the slight favorite. And this could be the another must watch fight for Philippines.
I expect that he will be the favorite, and I also expect that he will win.
2520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 29, 2022, 12:31:54 PM
Heat will win this, I also favor them to win on their home court, however, the betting line or the point spread is very high, I think the Clippers will be able to cover it as they are still very competitive despite losing their 2 all stars (Leonard and George).  I know I will enjoy watching this game, I hope my expectation that it will be a close game will happen.  Smiley

Yeah, the Heat looks clearly the favorite in this match. However, there are rumors that Butler is questionable tonight. So it might be a close game if he doesn't play. It's also worth noting these teams have already faced each other this season, and the Clippers showed that they can beat the Heat.

I also read about that too, this season is really interesting because there's more factor we need to consider before we bet on our desired team as we can't know for sure in advance who will play. Rumor has it that Butler won't be around against the Clippers as he's still undergoing some recondition, I suppose. But he played and lead the game today together with Bam Adebayo while taking the advantage that the key players of Clippers is not around and he made 26 points

Final score: MIA 121 - 114 LAC

He did, but it was still a close game and I'm impressed with how the Clippers are playing so far. They don't need a star player like PG, they are playing well as a team, it's just unfortunate that they don't have enough talent to compete against a top team like the Miami Heat.
