2521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bittrex support Segwit2X ? on: December 27, 2017, 04:37:08 PM
Last time I check the blog of Bittrex the announcement for segwit2x is meant for the first attempt for Segwit2x, after that no further updates was posted in Bittrex blog about segwit2x. I also scanned the posts in twitter of Bittrex, same with Rami and Richie of Bittrex but theres no post or mention made about it.

2523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: December 27, 2017, 04:25:45 PM
I think it depends on what token was airdropped. If its an out from no where token that just requires you to register with no purchase necessary and wait for the airdrop then expect that the price of the token once listed and ready to be traded to drop drastically. If its a good project why would anyone airdrop it without breaking a sweat.
2524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee start sharing his thoughts on Alts on: December 27, 2017, 08:19:13 AM
quite helpful for our trading with tweets from john mc afee. yesterday i made a considerable profit from just following her tweet about xvg .h and today he make tweet about etn.i 'll follow by buying etn too
You can say goodbye to his daily picks as he posted that moving forward he will post his picks on a weekly basis and we can look forward for his posts at Monday morning his time. What he is doing is just pumping the price of the alt coins, look at Electroneum, after he made an announcement, price is still the same, it may have pumped up and gained a few Sats but went back to previous price.
2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: December 27, 2017, 08:04:26 AM
for now,, NXT is the best choice until december 28, 2017 as the snapshot date for Ignis
people will collect more nxt to get free ignis
yes I'm equally recommending NXT as one of the best altcoin . it's like buy 1 get 1 free. you buy NXT and get IGNIS for 3.64 $ / IGNIS you can calculate how many dollars will we get if holding NXT to get IGNIS and it is so worth it
I grabbed some NXT when it was still 6K sats and now its trading at 9K sats so I guess holding it a little bit longer and wait for the snapshot will not hurt my wallet. I bought some more when NXt dip earlier today because of BTC reached $16,000 USD but its starting to recover now and going back to 10k sats. Still, do your own research when buying a coin, who knows if people here are just shilling so they can get rid of their bags.
2526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: December 27, 2017, 06:50:09 AM
Guys, where can i look countdown until 1636363 block ? It could make people easy to know when the snapshot is done or not. Thanks
Here, check this NXT block explorer https://nxtportal.org/blocks/ to see and estimate when block 1636363 will be up next. I saved the link to my smart phone so I can check from time to time if snapshot is done or not. I don't want to be surprised with NXT price after the snapshot was taken. Around 1,729 blocks to go.
2527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance vs Bittrex on: December 27, 2017, 06:01:43 AM
Of course Binance. Notice when Bitrex added new coins? and compare with the rate of listing the coins on the binance. A very important factor in comparing these exchanges is the speed of response of the support service. On bittrex, you can not create an account recently and there are difficulties with verification. On a benise there is an opportunity to receive a discount on the commission at a rate of 50%. There is also an opportunity to participate in the ICO on the exchange, which is very convenient. In general, open the roadmap of the Binance and look at the plans of the team - it's very cool.
Bittrex used to be like this before thats why one reason why many users of Poloniex migrated to Bittrex because is the slow response of support and slow resolution of opened tickets. Binance on the other hand is new and they may have not reached the number of users compared to Bittrex but once they achieved the number of users like Bittrex, they may also encounter the same problem.
2528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: December 27, 2017, 05:53:58 AM
what is the excat block size of this snapshot? also is there a nxt blockexplorer where we can monitor it?
Block height to look at is 1636363 thats according to this announcement
One good thing about this airdrop is Coinmarketcap say IGNIS is now worth $4, while NXT is currently traded at $1.32
So even if price of NXT dropped after the snapshot, you'll have IGNIS that is worth 3x of NXT
So I guess theres nothing to loose on participating on this air drop but instead more to gain
2529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty or Airdrop? on: December 27, 2017, 04:24:09 AM
Bounties will ask you to do tasks like wear their signature and post here in the forum or post outside the forum like in Facebook or Twitter, nevertheless they will ask you do something in exchange for a token. Airdrop can be simple, one example is the Bitcoin Cash airdrop where it only requires you to own BTC and store in wallets that you own the private key and you'll get an airdrop, I guess its safe to say that the task involve in airdrops is quite easier since it only requires ownership of a token or coin or at least a registration.
2530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance vs Bittrex on: December 25, 2017, 05:11:02 AM
I prefer binance over bittrex. binance doesn't requires us to submit any ID to trade crypto(yet) and has decent daily withdrawal limit, whereas on bittrex one cannot trade unless one goes through enhanced verification(their basic verification is just for show).
Yes I agree on this and I hope Binance will keep it that way or this is just a come on to those who wants to trade using their service and after a few months or a year when they have enough clients that migrated from Poloniex and Bittrex, they will start asking for requirements like those IDs and those silly selfies.
2531  Economy / Lending / Re: Need loan 0.004 btc on: December 25, 2017, 05:00:35 AM
Need loan 0.004 btc, collateral this bct account.PM please.
Looking at your post history you have been sending loan request to different lenders in this forum and their refusal to give you a loan should give you the idea that even if you use your account as collateral, they will not lend you BTC. Try to offer something else as a collateral with higher value to give the lender assurance that you will not runaway.
2532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / John McAfee start sharing his thoughts on Alts on: December 21, 2017, 11:45:48 PM
Yesterday John McAfee posted on his twitter account that he will share his thoughts on unique altcoins and he said "most of 2,000 are trash" and today he posted on twitter that ETN is one of those unique coins and boom ETN price pumped 30%. With his daily posts about alts that believe is good, will this affect the altcoins price or this will tarnish his reputation.
2533  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: December 21, 2017, 04:51:06 PM
Viabtc transaction accelerator seems dead since last week, i always try it everyday but it always say Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later. I think it's because of many unconfirmed transaction and the network is super busy nowdays. Even antpool accelerator also kinda hard to push our txid.
Maybe Viabtc initiated the downtime of transaction accelerator if you look at the announcement page of BTC.com for Hashnest investors they have a loot of transactions still pending and they already tried to use accelerator but still the status is the same and besides there are other transaction accelerator services around here that does not require a deposit.
2534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell BTC for Cash on: December 21, 2017, 04:40:08 PM
Face to face transaction in selling Bitcoin is a good way to avoid being scammed however keep in mind that the person you are dealing with is a complete stranger and this stranger may have something else in his mind and its not to exchange his fiat to BTC or vise versa. Don't meet alone, ask someone you know to be with you so if anything bad happens there is someone who can help you out right away.
2535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: best trading sites? on: December 21, 2017, 09:36:00 AM
This topic has been discussed already. Trading platforms are not all the same, there are trading pairs that are available in Cryptopia that is not available in Bittrex and there are functions that are available in Poloniex but not available in Cryptopia and Bittrex but one of the most important thing that a trading platform can offer is customer support, if they suck in answering tickets, they will lose their followers even if they have the most beautiful and easy to use user interface.
2536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: COC accounts for collateral on: December 21, 2017, 08:49:51 AM
Hello Everyone, I am planning to lend some ethereum to start up a mini business, and Im wondering if these Clash of clans could be a collateral. Anyone?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2622668.0

Eth to lend: 0.5 ETH
I think you mean borrow not lend because if you really mean to say is lend and you want Ethereum and accepts Clash of Clans could as collateral then you might get screwed but scammers here but if you plan to borrow Ethereum, what you are offering is not valid, check this post by Vod and maybe you have any of those in list that you can offer as collateral https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577765.msg6311902#msg6311902
2537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next (Nxt) likely a sleeper: late Dec hard fork w. free Ignis airdrop on: December 21, 2017, 04:01:58 AM
No wonder theres a sudden pump of NXT in Bittrex and I guess this will continue until December 22. Anyone here knows when BIttrex will screen capture the holders of NXT? I am thinking that NXT holders will anticipate this so they can dump but at current price I think NXT will pump up to 10000 Sats.

Edit: According to Bittrex article, snapshot will be on December 28.

2538  Economy / Lending / Re: Invest in Trading Bitcoin To Gift card (Open) on: December 21, 2017, 03:40:30 AM
With this kind of throw away account you will not be able to convince even a 4 year old boy to send you Bitcoins to invest. This kind of scam has been archived because it was used over and over again in this forum and I cant even think that someone will try to pull this of scam. You cant even convince yourself to buy your own domain for this kind of business.
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Hedge funds? on: December 21, 2017, 03:25:25 AM
Hello Bitcointalk community!

What do you guys know about verified crypto-hedge funds? Im looking for all I can possibly find. Is there a site where I can find this info?
Thanks!
In the real world, hedge funds are those private investment companies that act as money managers and they have a pool of funds meaning money comes from different investors and they (private investment company) invest on a stock and in return the private investment company will get a % from the earnings. In crypto world, this will most likely end up as a scam even if they identify who is behind the company. I have seen sob stories in Facebook where they invested BTC and in return they expect 10% profits but after a few months of paying, the money manager runs away with the BTC.

Thanks for the support, access granted!
Nice to read that you got your account back. Cheers!

Just want to check, yesterday evening I tried to use exchange option but got an error message saying that exchange is not allowed. Did you one else notice this issue or only me got this error message?

I didn't follow this thread so not sure whether they already announced about this issue.

I read somewhere about the same issue about the exchange option and it was fixed but nevertheless send a PM to Baryom and BistlerSupport to help you out, below are their forum profile.
