There has been a huge surge in awareness of btc starting in October because it has had so much coverage by the press and by nbc. If you work in an office, you problably have a coworker or two who is secretly into btc. Almost everyone I mention it to nowadays at least knows that bitcoin is "that alternative form of money". i bet Fibonacci retracement tool would be useful for this consolidation if you draw it from the bottom 400 to the top 610, we might end up seeing hits and bounces on the top 2 or 3 levels.

it's generally unproductive to give such short term trading targets, especially during high volatility.

can you explain your calculations of how it will never go under 600 again? on my chart i see a 55% increase in 20 hours that has has no retracement at all. under 600 is guaranteed.

fuck i give up with trading after reversal. i have cast one last net in the 500s and 400s and will be withdrawing all fills.

it's like there was a poisonous snake coiled up on bitstamp at 400 who silently waiting to attack and just bit all the shorts to death. I've never seen such a drastic morphing of the order book and complete change in trend overnight. it's like chuck norris round house kicked the chart.

the 45% flash recovery does not fit in with any previous bitcoin recovery. it is always a 20% recovery followed by a resistance that takes days or weeks to get though. This is not behaving at all like a capitulation bottom but more like a silk road style flashcrash recovery.

Hey wasn't it rpetelia or someone in here who said "the recovery can't just happen with a flash and a bang"? That looked like a flash and a bang to me. Probably a short squeeze. I can't imagine that the entire 32% range of 400-525 is just going to be hit once for 12 hours and then never seen again. That would be like if in 2013 it went from 66 straight to 86 but this actually took a week.

This is exactly what happening now. Mark in the IRC channel still claiming everything is ok. It's like an undead zombie you can't kill.
