Have you considered using Bitstarter?

2522  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fold paper 103 times! whats that got to do with bitcoin? on: July 19, 2014, 03:44:03 PM
Correction: It would be as thick as the OBSERVABLE universe.

No human being knows how "big" the universe is.
2523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should common people use bitcoin? on: July 19, 2014, 03:42:05 PM
So they won't have to remain common people in the Bitcoin future.
2524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the US government gain control of Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2014, 03:32:59 PM
They theoretically could buy a bunch or mine a bunch. But to what end? If they tried anything nefarious the value would plummet...
I have to correct you on that, there is nothing the US government could do that would cause Bitcoin's value to plummet, short of using EMPs or nukes on the entire world - basically shutting down the internet.

The only thing the government can do is ADD demand pressure (prices go up) to Bitcoin. This may happen if/when they "want in" on future economic policy making.
2525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some nights I think about this, and I just wanna cry. (How i missed the bus) on: July 17, 2014, 01:23:07 PM
Well, I heard it in 2010 and I didn't buy because it was always linked to criminal activities. Then I realized when it exploded that it had a legitimate use. My life has never been the same since. Depression hit hard. Never had 1 BTC yet  Cry
Welcome to capitalism, enjoy your financial and spiritual poverty. No sane capitalist will give you free wealth in exchange for nothing, myself included. Sorry about that.
2526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: July 17, 2014, 01:05:50 PM
I see you link to a video with a speech by Stephan Molyneux so I am assuming that the non-sense you are writing is your attempt of trolling.
Sage Molyneux gets most things right, but he gets capitalism all wrong. Try the other link for relevant analysis.
2527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: July 17, 2014, 12:59:31 PM
After you. I must warn you though, I am a thief and very dishonest when it comes to matters of money. Society has trained me to be this way for survival, you see?
Nonsense. I was not the one who said that property is theft.
You are missing the point. It doesn't matter who said it, what matters is that it is the truth. Property IS theft, it is a theft of the birthright of all human beings, and indeed all living creatures. I speak of our mother Earth, which has been stolen by violent means and then claimed piecemeal and defended by further violence.

If you believe property is theft you should post your private keys on this forum.
I already told you, like you I am a thief. Capitalism has made me this way - taught me violence and greed, tools I am very adept at using today. Why would a thief give anything away? What don't you understand about this simple concept?

2528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some nights I think about this, and I just wanna cry. (How i missed the bus) on: July 17, 2014, 12:51:33 PM
As a former IT guy, those pictures made me want to gouge out my eyes and eat them.

You should also know that you have NOT missed the bus, it has not even left the station yet, let alone reached the shuttle that will take you beyond the stratosphere and up into the cold black of space.
2529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: July 17, 2014, 12:46:26 PM
You own no property whatsoever, than? Perhaps you didn't get the memo, but property is theft!

Welcome to reality. Enjoy your stay.

Ok. Please post your private keys then.
After you my friend.

I must warn you though, like all capitalists I am a thief and very dishonest when it comes to matters of money. Society has trained me to be this way for survival, you see?

It's not evil, information wants to be free. Someone please do this. Maybe we should start a BTC pool bounty for whoever gets us a copy first?

"Beware those who would deny you access to information, for in their hearts they dream themselves to be your masters"
I'll play no part in theft.

Well, maybe that would be just a punishment for making awful wrong business decisions.
Think about it, it is a documentation about a cutting edge technology called Bitcoin but they insist to release it on some ancient tech of the 90s (AKA DVD) ?
What's next? A VHS release? Accepting federal reserve notes only?
Haha, QFT. It's crazy, the argument is, "we must release it in the traditional style to get more views!", yet there is nothing stopping them from releasing it digitally to us and ALSO doing traditional style release.

Basically, they are full of shit, and probably seeking money/fame more than doing good for Bitcoin.
2531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unfair to the non tech-savvy on: July 17, 2014, 01:13:54 AM
Capitalism is inherently unfair to just about everyone. Bitcoin isn't a great enough paradigm shift to change that dynamic.

Perhaps the next technological breakthrough that builds upon the work the blockchain began will be, if we're lucky.
2532  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: July 16, 2014, 07:47:09 PM
future of bitcoin is paying for everything with bitcoins, everyday grocery etc
So, actually this means "trust".

What the hell? How did you correlate what he wrote with "trust" ? If you had to sum it up it's "usage"
Do you really using something you are not trusting? Any currency is based on trust first, and then - used.

Your logic is applicable for centralized currencies. A de-centralized currency does not need trust. U dont need to trust Satoshi to use Bitcoin. U can see the code yourself.
No difference if it is gold, dollar, peanuts, bitcoin or shell money in Timbuktu. In any exchange or transaction you need to trust in order to do it. It is actually basics. But never mind.

You are tied with the legacy thinking. Bitcoin is different from that. Please have your time to read Satoshi's paper. The basis of Bitcoin is it is trustless as it is open source and community driven. Trust is something tied with centralized systems.
This one speaks wisely. Trust is the great weakness of soon-to-be obsolete forms of currency like fiat. We trusted the banks, look where that got us - the 2008 meltdown!

Bitcoin is the future of money precisely because there is NO trust involved whatsoever. Bitcoin is the atheism of money, that's why it will destroy all competition.

2533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: July 16, 2014, 12:05:14 PM
I watched this trailer 10 times. Where can I watch the whole thing?

You can watch it with me in Chicago on Friday Smiley

2534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the Real Reason people are interested in Bitcoin on: July 16, 2014, 01:03:44 AM
How do we show people there is more then money to bitcoin?
We wait. Time will show all.

2536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency: Lighting the match for the digital revolution on: July 11, 2014, 11:28:23 PM
Heck, everything will become decentralized, even nation states will become obsolete ...
Not before our culture makes violence obsolete by beginning to govern the world with reason instead.

At the rate we're going, that could take quite a while.
2537  Economy / Services / Re: I was hacked (1170btc stolen) - 500btc max BOUNTY on: July 11, 2014, 02:04:36 PM
Yikes, that's scary. That's why I keep the bulk of my coin in cold storage !
2538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 11, 2014, 01:53:28 PM
If it does hit 2000 before 2014 is out, expect it to crash back down to 1500 within 60 days.

Personally, I think it will boom to at least 2500, and crash to ~1800 within 60 days.
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoin enthusiasts use IRC? and why? on: July 11, 2014, 01:48:30 PM
IRC?!

2540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has officially become the one world currency on: July 11, 2014, 01:47:04 PM
In what capacity has it 'officially' become a one world currency?
Insofar that if you try to deny the power of bitcoin, we send the Reptillian special agents to abduct and probe you until you see the error of your ways.
