In what capacity has it 'officially' become a one world currency? It has the capacity to be for sure, but it's a long way off yet. As long as the one world currency is decentralised though I think it can only be a good thing.

Tom here is posting and chances are he will not reply, maybe he will read it again.

Other than that, no it hasn't Tom.

You can't buy from WalMart, McDonalds, Target, that little shop down the street from your house, at a gas station, or any other big name.

The USD fits your headline, however.

So what convinced you it is now officially the world currency?

Did Alex Jones tip you off?

LOLOL!!!  Cheesy

Seriously, though, I think it's a case where Bitcoin has the POTENTIAL to become a "one world currency," but only in the sense that it could be included in international business negotiations. Some international business and trade deals use the U.S. dollar as a base currency, but does this make the U.S. dollar a one world currency? I don't think so when it is easy enough to convert between the dollar and the local fiat currency.

Many governments are still banning BTC. Maybe you are too optimistic about it. Calling it " one world currency" is still early!

I could see a crypto becoming a world standard. However with the speed that it takes for confirmations I think something else will take its place that has a faster confirmation system. Until then I will just enjoy what we have.

Calling it a one world currency seems a bit conspiratorial to me, but I actually think bitcoin could be come sort of a borderless universal currency. I guess that's at least what most of us here hope.

People seem to have a knee-jerk reaction to the term one world currency, but it's not a bad thing at all. It's bad if banks try create them or multiple country currencies such as the Euro and can only lead to unfair control over them, but having a decentralised currency that you can spend all over the world seem amazing and could be truly revolutionary. Makes me excited for the future.

Now bitcoin is no effective supervision, as long as the regulation in place, can be called the world currency.
