2521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: July 15, 2014, 12:43:16 PM
I hope you guys can continue in peace to make MOTO better and human minable again. If this is not going to work then perhaps it's better to release easy-to-install bots to others so everyone can have a go at this. The longer it takes that only a few people can mine it, the less credible the coin gets.
It would be good if someone released it but we have only had one released and it doesn't seem to work.
Even if someone just released their really crappy bot, it would be good. *cough*Please?*cough*
2522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: July 15, 2014, 12:38:00 PM
add some sort of simple captcha when ya hit play maybe? *shrugs*

Bots can solve captchas also
Also , how do you plan on doing the check?

It was a project about a coin that required captchas to solve blocks but .. people realized it was such a pain that it got abandoned.

Hi not too sure but some kind of randomised captcha within the program might not be as easily botted like html stuff
How would it be validated? Someone could just bypass it.

Can't we just ban the bots? IP-ban or some other way of closing the connection. The MOTO system should recognize bots and exclude them from participation. Or limit the amount of maps one can try to play within a certain timeframe.
Unfortunately people can just change their IP's with some simple software. It would be good if they couldn't but they can. Sad
2523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: July 14, 2014, 07:22:16 AM
Seeing so much promise in this concept, even with bots...
What I don't understand is - if the original developers have no interest or stake in the coin anymore, why don't they pass the control of key assets such as master GitHub control and motocoin.org website to the person who is now voluntarily coding the fixes this coin needs?
Exactly!
The dev is just wasting out time right now. We need him to pass it over to HunterMinerCrafter otherwise we won't have bot protection or anything.

why not both? Cheesy
Are you a little kid that Mexicans are throwing up and down?
Maybe we don't want soft tortillas and hard tacos at the same time, right?
2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: • Unattainium • Hardest Coin to Mine EVER • Purchase Mining HARDWARE soon • on: July 14, 2014, 05:09:31 AM
Selling 50 Unat. 0.1 BTC per coin.
You're really selling at a discount here. I'm holding till we hit the exchanges; I recommend you do the same. Currently there are less than 10k coins and it's getting harder and harder to mine.
So what you're saying, is that this coin has a market cap of $4.8 million? I don't think so.
2526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOTO] Motocoin on: July 13, 2014, 10:46:22 AM
@WIlliamLie2  We're rapidly approaching block 104k, do you have builds?

Are we forking at 104k?

EDIT: I'm taking that as a no...

We really need the dev to either step up or give up.  This "maybe I will maybe I won't" behavior is getting tired.
Yeah, this is really annoying. I think maybe he has given up. I was waiting for him to reply but he hasn't.
I hope he makes his decision soon.

Edit: Wow, still no reply!

I've been full time bitcoin since 2010 sadly doing so I wasn't able to really do the long term buy & hodl but I can look back and say at one point I held 2.8m usd in btc which is still cool.

Holy crap! That's super cool although it would be cooler if you were holding that now.
He might still be holding the same amount of BTC because that would have been when bitcoin was $1300 or something.

Did you sell it all or just a few or are you still holding it waiting for the price to go $10000+? Smiley

What is insanity? Every thought we think of is unguided, are we all insane? Or are we all insanely sane?
Wasn't it said of Don Quixote, that his great fortune was to die wise, and live insane?
Are you speaking english right now?
Should "english" be capitalized when speaking English, or only when writing it?

Unfortunately there is already a Goodcoin currency.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pnw3ymStaXo
If you google Goodcoin this forum thread comes up but,
If you google Goodcoins their website comes up.

And that video came out 21 days before this currency was created.

The Terminal Man.

I have never seen it but I want to.

I found Pi good, even though it isn't really Sci-fi and it's black and white (but it is made in the 80's)

Like they are excluded from other stuff, for example having births and wearing red pants for 1 week every month.

Not only are men not excluded from wearing red pants whenever they feel like, but they can also give birth, as per the movie Junior (1994) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110216/). Tongue

Now that, is a messed up piece of sh...

You're a piece of shit,  messy shit

I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a smarter statement than that.
This thread is dead.
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GOOD] Part PoW! Part Human mining! Part decided by U! ON EXCHANGE! on: July 12, 2014, 05:42:12 AM
You guys know that this coin isn't actually human mineable?
It says "part POW, part human mining" but it really is just full POW with half of the coins being given away for playing games (technically not mining).

I don't want to become the enemy or anything. Just saying. Smiley

Well all the open bounties is also part of the human mining. We tip for new features and services for the coin, such as the paperwallet generator and the facebook tip app. The games are just another form to get people involved who cannot provide a service, but they provide advertisement with their involvement because they have GOODcoin in their name when they participate.
I see what you're saying, but it isn't actually "mining". Its just coins being  paid to people for their advertising or services.
If it was mining, it would be recorded in the blockchain.
See what I mean?

That's not something that we can't have,  just have to find someone to work on it but hard to hire when bozo dumpers just killed the buy orders wall so now gotta grow value again or fundraiser for funds
When I say recorded in the blockchain, I mean, the rewards from the game make the blockchain. Like Huntercoin or MotoCoin. Where it is impossible to cheat (you need to have valid moves or whatever secures the reward) and everyone can check what you did (the moves you used) to get your reward.

Know what you're saying but that's something we can help develop or help fund to develop.   Something like that was what we discussed in beginning posts or even games that paid out in coins.
So you understand that playing the flappy bird faucet game isn't human mining?

Expect complete new X11 code for VirtualCoin in few hrs.

...and no, you will not loose your coins, nor it is not a relaunch, but a major code upgrade. (just thought of adding this line)
Awesome! Now we shall see a price increase, I hope.

Yep if there no BIOS boot screen the cards probably done for on the bright side your dealing with gigabyte who are pretty pleasant to deal with. Although your GPU could end up going a distance for repair or replacement
Yeah, it is going to take two to three weeks but I don't really care.
