Did anyone have their DRK pool wipe out their account balance even from mining last month.   Im hoping its temporary while the chain catches up perhaps.
Only DRK coins I have left now were mined in the last 24hr

Why leave coins in pools for months on end?

So, MN aren't paying so far, up until they fix the issues?

Correct, masternodes are not getting paid at the moment. Its being fixed and will be available very soon.

Thanks for the info/update.  Smiley

Until proof of even FPGAs are posted, ASIC = Pulled out of Obama's ass vaporware and not A real NSA product.

Proof of FPGA is not required, we know that FPGA can do it if someone programs them to. However their acceleration factor is not that big and it's highly unlikely to find thousands of them.

ASIC = I don't know. But even at a 500x acceleration factor compared to a GPU (say a 3 MHs GPU / 1.5 GHs ASIC) it'd take HUNDREDS of them to pull stuff like 800-900 gigahash. FPGAs even more so because their acceleration is much closer to GPUs. I saw the link the guy gave as "x11 fpga program" which was bullshit, but hashpower is hashpower and it was tremendous.

Quote
The main propagandist behind that campaign is cryptohunter who has been pushing this in order to discourage Darkcoin miners since it claims ASIC resistance. If ASICs existed you mean to say they were tested on the crapcoin first and never on DRK ?

If I were the NSA I'd make sure to have hardware ASICs for every single algorithm out there. If I want to break a wallet, or control a crypto network, I won't do it with GPUs. The budget for acquiring such equipment is pretty low for their standards. They could control 51% of bitcoin right now if they spent something like 100-200mn in ASIC for SHA256 and destroy bitcoin. Even 1 bn budget for ASIC hardware is peanuts compared to protecting the hegemony of the dollar.

I believe they have the theoretical possibility of overriding every single POW network out there with 51% but a POS coin would remain resilient from a POW attack as it works through POS staking. So they would have a mess at their hand with an anonymous coin that remains resilient. So their hardware would be useless for 51% override. But it wouldn't be useless in the coin generation phase (POW). That's where I suspect they put their hardware on and started mining with that insane hashrate to get a 51% stake and control the future of the coin. If they didn't manage that, they'll manage it through buying a few more to get there.

The absence of that hashrate from every other x11 coin is a huge indicator. The fact that, suddenly, 900gh of x11 hashpower appeared out of nowhere just to mine XC, doesn't "just" happen.

Government agencies like the NSA have a lot to gain from ensuring DRK is a major success...  Governments have more to hide than the average punter out there, it would make funding their wars offshore so much more efficient...

except they can only afford that stuff because of money printing and they cant print crypto.

Uh, what does that have to do with the fact that Darkcoin would be incredibly useful to the CIA? They don't need to 'print crypto' they'll just buy it and use it. The richer and more powerful you are, generally the more you value your privacy, for whatever reason(s).

Darkcoin right now has no credible competition in the field, and is unlikely to for some time if the clownlike 'efforts' of MRO and XC, for example, continue.

2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X11] X11 (Darkcoin etc) miner (based on sph-sgminer) on: May 27, 2014, 09:17:31 PM
User magro on reddit posted this script to install on Bamt 1.6

https://github.com/benmagro/Add-SGminer-X11Mod-Miner-To-BAMT/

Installs and works fine except I'm not getting temperatures or fan speeds showing up in sgminer.  Any ideas for a fix?  Had the same problem when I tried to build myself.

BTW getting 6.0mhs from 2 x Sapphire Vapor X 280x, 335w at the wall.  Using 280x config from OP, best I could get out of sgminer-sph was 4.4mhs, 36% increase, nice!

You need to copy the adl header files into the ADL_SDK folder before compiling to see tempuratures

Thanks.  Got it working.

If anyone else is having the same problem -

I altered x11.sh script too look like this.

Code:
...
cd /opt/miners/sgminer-x11mod
cp /opt/miners/sgminer-4.1.0-sph/ADL_SDK/* /opt/miners/sgminer-x11mod/ADL_SDK/
make clean
...

Also edited the conf file made by the script rather than deleting and copying over another one.

Script worked, modified bamt.conf, copied my sgminer-sph.conf to sgminer-x11mod.conf, changed kernel to "x11mod" - runs but get loads of HW errors and half the hashrate.

Here's the sgminer-x11mod.conf, pair of 270s and a 6870:
Code:
"auto-fan": true,
    "gpu-fan": "40-70",
    "temp-cutoff": "85",
    "temp-overheat": "80",
    "temp-target": "75",

    "gpu-engine": "975,975,900",
    "gpu-memclock": "1250,1250,1100",

    "worksize": "256,256,64",
    "intensity": "13,13,14",
    "thread-concurrency": "6336,6336,3366",
    "gpu-threads": "2,2,2",
    "gpu-powertune": "20,20,0",
    "lookup-gap": "2,2,2",

    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1",

    "failover-only" : true,
    "no-pool-disable": true,
    "no-submit-stale" : true,

    "queue": "0",
    "expiry": "1",
    "scan-time": "1",
    "kernel" : "x11mod",
    "kernel-path": "/usr/local/bin"

did you get this sorted ? i'm hagin a similar issue

Not yet, spent afternoon buying cheap DRK off ADD fools. Grin  Going to have a play with it now.

edit: pilot error, surprise surprise - I left sgminer-sph flagged '1' in bamt.conf, so I think it was trying to run sgminer-sph and sgminer-x11mod at the same time, with obviously shitty results.  Embarrassed

Took out the 6870 in rig mentioned above while I faff, because I am easily confused, but all 11 of my 270s are now up from 1.2Mh to 1.5MH with my very conservative settings, so about 25% increase, and it seems to be reflected on my DRK p2pool node. Will tinker some more tomorrow.

is it safe to transfer coins to wallets from exchange?
Yes, as long as you have the latest wallet.

Whomever of you is panic-selling....Mr. Xos thanks you...   http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?188207.htm

He is buying all the cheap darkcoins, gonna hold until dark is well over $300.

Idiots moan about the coin distribution, then sell dirt cheap to the whales...  Roll Eyes  Grin

Just to clarify the www.darkcoin.io links lead to the right wallets. You can do getinfo when you run them and see. They are labeled incorrectl,y a side effect of yesterday's crazyness. Just a typo.

And the same links always point to the latest versions. (Or they have so far anyway.)

No the links don't always point to the latest versions. 1 hour ago the link was leading to download the 9.4.08 version. A version number 'just a typo'? Come on! That's a HuGE mistake! Here I see people blaming dumb users, what about the developers??  I'm pretty disappointed in the 'drop the ball' attitude.

Hmm, they have for me. Some sort of cache issue at your end/your ISP?

I downloaded the RC2 .11 version. I have opened the wallet and its only showing block 75445 processed, and slowly going up.

Is this normal?
Yes, last block was 75561 at time of writing this according to my client.

1000drk is now in the top 400 rich list, was 6-700 2 days ago. I guess the wealth is being spread out a bit thinner.

the rich list isn't correct for me.. on my address it shows 0 balance and everything was sent away from that address 1 month ago but thats not true  Undecided

Did you move it to a different address within your wallet? Try 'listaddressgroupings' in the console.
2532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 27, 2014, 01:06:57 PM
I'm off to bed. Will see where we're at in the morning.

Let's just contemplate for a moment that, despite the network hiccup, Evan has created the first anonymous coin with mixing hosted by an incentivised decentralised network. Some issues to iron out but for mine, that achievement is the biggest thing since BTC. Can't wait for this to get the attention it deserves.

Well said. Also, lets get real here and acknowledge that probably 90% of all trades going on right now are greedy buggers like myself selling high and buying low to increase their stash of Darkcoin. Don't be discouraged when you see the price drop or a massive low-ball sell wall appear - this is our bread and butter folks! I finished the day with a 24.8% increase in the number of Darkcoin I hold - Note HOLD - I am going to bed knowing full well that the price could drop a little lower, but the liklihood of the dev coming out, setting everything straight, and settling weary hands is MUCH higher.

I personally don't want to sell for say 0.018 thinking I got one up over a panic buyer when in 8 hours time I could wake up, fix my morning coffee, check Mintpal and hold my head in my hand as I enter in "BUY X @ 0.022BTC per Darkcoin'.

It is the best coin out there - I know it, you know it, $43 Million US dollars knows it. See you all in the morning to celebrate the bounce back with the faithful!
Just so. Top dogs are still accumulating, weaklings will always be weak.

Uh, look for it in the list  Huh

If you mean the little blue box with the arrow sticking up out of it after your address, that's a link to explorer.darkcoin.io which is down for maintenance, you can view your address here instead: http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/

Yep, they are there. Just not appearing in my wallet. Not sure how to import or what I need to do. It's not many. I'm not going to go mad, but frustrating.

What form do these backups take? The client can only load one wallet at a time, the one called 'wallet.dat'

Has Evan put out an official statement about the next step/timing?

That might stop the speculation and silence the trolls (it's funny how they're nowhere to be seen during DRK's growth).

Yeah, Now trolls rule the DRK Lands ! All Darkcoin supporters run terrified by the trolls ! And where is Evan i this fight ? No RC3, no schedule , no hope !

Chill, man. He's been working on this since Jan. The development is still happening, I was just asking for an update.

Or maybe you're joking. I hope you're joking.

Terzo is a schizophrenic dipshit and a paid troll, try and ignore him.  Smiley

Just updated my qt wallet on Linux and got:

v0.9.4.9-2-g43f9cd5-beta

Is this the right version?
Help>Debug window>Console, type 'getinfo' without the quotes, it should say "version" : 100811 - package labeling is a bit inconsistent.
