2541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Lightning Network Food Order by Phone on: June 13, 2020, 03:29:50 AM
I think some transfers are charge free, my lightning network transactions on Eclair are capped at a 3% fee which seems like what credit cards charge merchants in the US (afaik I thought that was the standard charge for AMEX over there and also why they're not widely accepted here). Fees are normally unnoticeable with lightning payments though and a 330k sat payment would even have a low fee on the blockchain (without a fast conf) and this is what the LN is trying to replace.

My last transaction of £1.48 (20k sats) cost 3 sats to send for example.
Lightning Network was mentioned as a good suppmentary layer to bring Bitcoin to more people, and to increase bitcoin acceptances and wider payments. Some years have passed and Lightning network has not yet reached what it was expected to hit. Would you mind sharing some biggest barriers on the developments and acceptances of LightningNetwork softwares and payments, please.

Fast and cheap but why it has still been under-used?
2542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 13, 2020, 02:54:32 AM
I would prefer to confirm that my exchange from GOLD to ETH yesterday (a few hours ago) was done within a short waiting time, just a few minutes, maybe around 5 minutes. The site is back and the smoothly exchange process is back too.

To be honest, this is my first time I have my own experience on charged storage fees of my GOLD tokens. That is not too bad (as some people complained in the past).

I hope you are all staying safe and have your smooth exchanges on Gold marketplace. In the meantime, I am patiently waiting for more announcements on new products which have been under developed.
2543  Other / Meta / Re: Is MoparMiningLLC a VIP account? on: June 12, 2020, 04:51:08 AM
May be possible but at the beginning of the post, I startes with the registration date of the said user. He registered on late 2017 and I doubt anyone would pay 50 BTC to get the VIP rank on this forum. That's why I am confused. I do not any other reason to give such privileges other than the case of Bruno.
Besides two users named above, Lauda is another one with a custom title. Regarding to your statement, I don't see anything wrong with a custom titles for some users. If theymos feels right (no potential compromises) he has his rights to give them a custom title and theymos can take those custom titles down instantly when he want.

Custom titles, username change, there is nothing wrong with them, as I see.
2544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A way to backup your wallet.dat to paper on: June 12, 2020, 04:14:30 AM
It also includes encryption, but don't rely on it. Encrypt your wallet in your Bitcoin program and GPG it too, so it ends up triply encrypted Wink

Download many copies of the tool too (including source code) and put it on your cloud and your storage, so even if it disappears from the Internet, you wouldn't end up with the fancy notepad paper.
I don't think there is need to tripply encrypt and rely on third party softwares to do this. I read so many questions from people who tried to encrypt their private keys or mnemonic seeds, by arbitrarily reverse seed positions, ie. or more steps. Unfortunately, months later, they lost backups of those encryption steps, then they failed to recover their wallets from backups. Backups are there but they lost details of encryption procedures. That sounds very stupid.

Create your wallet offline, make your backups and store them offline, safely from physical threats like water, fire (in Vaults, ie.). It's enough.
2545  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Kucoin Futures - Trade Easier, Profit More! on: June 12, 2020, 03:53:32 AM
They need to be updated so that they will not left behind the scene there are so many exchange coming up already and also the others big tier exchange are still doing a good performance and by having or joining trend it shows how Kucoin make an effort to still get the one of the best exchange running today.
Circa 2018, Kucoin exchange has some technical issues but they solved those issues well and have grown bigger and bigger over time. The Bitcoin Futures on Kucoin exchange is another product that will help Kucoin growing better and keep their top positions among exchanges. The bitcoin futures is a trend and if Kucoin can build up a good product for it, they will have brighter future. The competition over crypto exchanges is very very tough nowadays. Past lessons from Poloniex, and Bittrex are key for current big exchanges that they will probably lose their top positions anytime.

Kucoin exchange adapts so well to crypto trend. After the trend of margin trades, the future trades is a new trend and Kucoin has been fastly to integrate it on their exchange and even decided to run a signature campaign to promote their new product to the crypto traders. I wish best things to Kucoin and the manager.
2547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Aave/ETHLend - Decentralized Lending DApp - The Game Changer - All info Updated on: June 11, 2020, 11:27:50 AM
Let's imagine about the future trend in crypto for the second half of 2020 and next one or two years. Which one will be a new hot trend in crypto? From my own opinion, I think it will be a DeFi trend. Because it is a trend, it will be hot but remember that not all tokens are related to a hot trend will be actually sustainably grown after all. Most of them solely skyrocket when FOMO occurs and gradually die off over time.

Aave/ETHLend is one of DeFi tokens. For other DeFi tokens, you can get them there: https://defimarketcap.io/
2548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just paid $2,6M in fees while sending just $133 in ETH on: June 11, 2020, 11:04:50 AM
Doesn't look like this was an accident.

Looking through his transaction history he's used 60 gwei for every transaction, except this one.... That indicates the wallet was previously controlled by a smart contract or some automated service, but then this guy took over and manually cranked to gas price up to 500 million.

What's more likely is that he is working in cahoots with the mining pool to forcibly move money from one place to another, potentially converting illegitimate gains into legal proceeds (mining revenue). He'd then split the difference with the pool owner and get away with essentially laundering money.

This isn't the first time Sparkpool has received suspiciously high fee transactions before. And they often seem to agree to split it back with the sender.... Why would they do that when it's rightfully theirs to keep?
I don't think it is a misclick because it is a huge money. No one does such a terrible misclick, except when the person is totally drunk. Even if the person is totally drunk, I believe no one gets crazy and move funds when they are drunk. It is especially warning if they have so much money in their wallets.

The question is how fees on ETH network will be used after all. You made a point that it is a suspicious transaction (maybe well planned) to create FUDs, to do money laundering. The vital thing is if the sender has plan to get his fees back (with a deal to fee receiver, something like that), the person will not lose anything with that transaction.
2549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 11, 2020, 09:55:15 AM
Something goes wrong again. Yesterday, I can not swap my GOLD to neither BTC nor ETH because the marketplace did not create a receiving address on it, then I can not send my GOLD tokens to such receiving address.

Today, a new issue pops up when I check the marketplace minutes ago, the dashboard for exchange rates temporarily is broken, with the message "No rates". Please check it.
2550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 10, 2020, 11:54:36 PM
Bayern got it. I don't know why Frankfurt didn't try to play more attacking in the first half, second half was much better from them. They were in control when Bayern managed to score the second goal and clinch the game.

Didn't watch the whole game, but from what i have seen Alphonso Davies had another great match. He is only 19 years old and he is already a top player. Canada will have a top star in the years to come. Can't remember any top Canadian player, think that there probably wasn't any since soccer is very low on their nation sports lists.
Bayern has aimed to their 3-titles season again. They nearly get the titles for DFB cup, and Bundesliga. The only challenge for them now is the Champions League. They have many advantages in Champions League when it comes back because they will only focus all their resources for it when their opponents around Europe will have to split their resources for fights in national leagues. It is a big advantage but it does not make sure that Bayern will win the Champions League.

Alphonso Davies is a big surprise because he was not grown and trained to become a swing back but now he is one of the greatest ones in the position.
2551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 10, 2020, 12:50:52 PM
I guess there are something not work properly on GOLD marketplace. I tried to swap my GOLD tokens to ETH, and created 3 orders (I created multiple orders because they failed to load receiving addresses on GOLD marketplace). For all three orders I tried, all of them failed to created those addresses even I tried to wait for 5 minutes for each order. It is my first time I experience the problem on GOLD marketplace (continuously loading).

Please check it.
2552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoCa Cola now Accept bitcoin on Australia and New Zealand. on: June 10, 2020, 11:28:32 AM
The crypto world has changed so much compares to what it was back in the year of 2017. So this time, and such a news has not shown any kind of effect to boost the bitcoin price. I remembered back in 3 years ago, such a same news usually caused massive FOMO effects, go-to-the-Moon, and it was right not only for bitcoin but also for all altcoins back in those months. It is a very sweet memory.

Nowadays, in 2020, such a news has lost its FOMO effects. What I want to say is in the next few days, at the coming weekend or the very early hours of next week, bitcoin will see a very flash crash. I guess it will be crashed downward to the range from $8500 to $8900. Stay tuned for the coming crash of Bitcoin.
2553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 10, 2020, 04:57:53 AM
I dont think there's a need for them to integrate USDT since they also offer stablecoin which is even better than USDT and with my findings it only BTC payment that currently have problem it will be better if people choose ETH which they later swap to BTC through myether wallet or an exchange.
The usecase for USDT is GOLD is a stable one but it has not yet been listed on too many exchanges. In turn, people have to convert their GOLD to ETH if they want to move their funds to exchanges to trade. ETH, itself is not a stable altcoin. Having USDT is good, and if it is not good, it does not bring anything bad to the GOLD marketplace, in my opinion.

If there are not many technical issues or requirements to integrate USDT on GOLD marketplace, I expect to see it later.
2554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: June 09, 2020, 11:37:15 AM
Dear Ayobami99,

The btc payment queue is a little bit big now. We trying to make it faster to complete all market orders.

Regards,
Support Team @ Digital Gold
https://gold.storage
With the network condition of Bitcoin, I think it is a good time for GOLD team to think of the future appearance and integration of USDT on Gold marketplace. You can integrate USDT in 2 gates, on OMNI layer, and on ERC20. To have faster transaction speed and cheaper transaction fees for USDT orders, the second one - ERC20, is better.

Many exchanges (Binance, ie.) has 3 gates for USDT: OMNI, ERC20, and TRC20.
2555  Economy / Scam Accusations / Youtube scam channels. Please spend your time to report them and take them down on: June 09, 2020, 12:28:52 AM
The idea is from Kakmakr
So who is going to start the thread under the scam accusations section? ---> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
I had my thread long before that but I made it for newbies in the Beginners & Help. Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys

With the idea and the latest threads on the forum about scam youtube channels, I came to this thread. As the title presents, I wish the thread will become a hub of scam accusations on scam Youtube channels. Together, we can report them here, then report them to Youtube and take them down.

Let's report them whenever you see them here or everywhere else, take them down, and help to keep the crypto space as cleanest as possible.

That's it for now but I am going to create a list for OP (with links to scam channels and their status).

[Scam] Youtube Channel Fake Giveaway
[YouTube SCAM] Please report these Live BTC Giveaway Scams
Stay away from this kind of giveaway!! Scam alert!!
[SCAM ALERT] Fake 50000 ETH Giveway - Running Youtube Advertisement
Give away again.
Breaking down the anatomy of a fake giveaway scam
2556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay away from YouTube Giveaways on: June 09, 2020, 12:23:14 AM
My solution.... create a single thread on this forum where people can post the Youtube link of the scam and then we gangbang the #$%^ out of those links with reports and down votes.
You meant a thread like that one of mine? Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys

I am going to do this in next few hours and the coming hub of Youtube scam channels definitely need endlessly help from community. I can not be able to manage it myself.
2557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects willing choosing bad exchanges? on: June 08, 2020, 10:45:18 AM
There are some reasons and we can not subjectively say why owners of those projects do so. Let's go through some likely reasons:
- Owners simply don't know those exchanges are bad ones.
- Owners have limited funds and want to get listed on exchanges ASAP with as lowest listing fees or totally free as possible.
- Owners only want to get listed on exchanges to run their pumps and dumps, then run away with their scam projects.
In the past, we have some exchanges for that purpose, Crypto Bridge, ie. which ended as a scam one, months ago.
Newbies - Read before using exchanges or investing
2558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: June 08, 2020, 12:18:59 AM
Me too, I absolutely believe in DASH. There are not really any major difficulties specific to DASH but what can be said is that the whole market has been affected. I think other crypto have been affected far more adversely than DASH, it is still an excellent investment opportunity.
Such great investment opportunities rarely exist. It often exists after 3 to 4 years so if one investor miss or ignore opportunities for this period, the investor will have to wait for another 3 to 4 years to see the same great opportunities.

Fear, hesitate, ignore opportunites, don't invest at great discount price and feel regret after all.
2559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Designing a futureproof, wide-adoption Bitcoin logo. on: June 07, 2020, 09:02:07 AM
We don't need another logo for bitcoin because the current one is perfect. It is simple, representative and has been deeply engraved in our mind.

I am sorry if I am make you disappointed but no need for another Bitcoin logo. There is no need for Bitcoin forks, none of them.
2560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MLM – a dangerous marketing strategy on: June 07, 2020, 06:06:47 AM
Last year, I planned to invest my money in a profitable business in order to ensure a passive income. I have been looking for a long time for a place where there would be reliability and security for my funds, but I could not find, although these companies are many, but MLM is exactly the thing where a lot of scammers are spinning.
Many people get trapped with MLM because both sides:
- They are lazy to learn, and investigate to find really good companies, projects for their investments.
- They are greedy and want to get rich fastly.

On the sides of scammers, they provides exactly what lazy investors are looking for:
- High ROI
- Easy method to get rich
- Huge passive income with limited initial capital
- and more.

I don't have any words to protect lazy and greedy investors because they deserve their losses. I believe if they read the topic, they will still fall into MLM traps again.
