1801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulators are on next level desperate on Bitcoin and the cryptospace on: August 25, 2021, 02:01:56 PM
Without government greenlighting crypto, it won't get adopted by businesses, so it could only be used in informal p2p economy, which is only a small part of economy. He's also correct that a lot of DeFi is centralized, and if they are centralized, than what makes them different from centralized exchanges? If not much, then regulations could help reduce scams.
Companies have to follow laws and regulations and they can not run illegal business if governments don't allow it officially.

DeFi projects nowadays are created by know teams and team members are identifiable so governments can catch those founders, developers if they find something illegal. They are not decentralized from team member anonymity and their domains. Governments are aiming at stable coins and they will aim at DeFi soon.

Bitcoin is the best decentralized crypto project.

If you are a crypto newbie and are thinking what is better between trading and investing, what to start with?

I can say, investing is better. You can pick top cryptocurrency, buy them, and hold. Investment works only for good and top cryptocurrencies.

When you have x2 of your capital, you can spilt it: 50% for investment, 50% for trading. You must keep your capital separately for two parts and don't use them overlap each other.

After 6 months, you can see what is better, from your practice, not from what I said.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOBYTE [GBX] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance, GoByte Pay on: August 24, 2021, 04:51:26 AM
We are halfway through the fundraising, the dev team looked at many scenarios to build wGBX but the wrapping.Services service offered by the Monetary Unit (MUE)  project seemed the best one.

The team responds promptly and they have released more altcoins on the smart binance chain, the volume is not huge but it seems like a great place to start with the DEFI for Gobyte.
It is a very good initiative from Gobyte team and every good thing has to begin from difficulty and small start. I much appreciated all works from the team and MUE team.

Quote
It is a relatively new service and therefore not too popular, we already had a bridge ready for BSC but the team doesn't respond quickly so we don't know if we can still rely on them.
Do you mean about BSC team and their late response to Gobyte request?

Quote
We try to open as many avenues as possible for Gobyte without neglecting anything, and after the update of the blockchain there will also be NFT to be evaluated.
NFT is on hype but I think that trend will be very bubble and won't be able to last long. Many things on NFTs are over valued and it means there will be not many projects with real values left after the bubble.

What is the plan of Gobyte team for NFT? A payment method to buy NFT with Gobyte coin or other use cases?
1804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulators are on next level desperate on Bitcoin and the cryptospace on: August 23, 2021, 07:26:55 AM
Regulators are more seriously in bull market. In bear market, we only see FUD or plans for future regulations but in big bull market, regulators actually launch new regulations. They are challenged by bull market and feel their power will be damaged more or disappear if they don't response seriously with crypto market.

Consequently they response more seriously than they usually do, at governmental levels and globally.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: August 23, 2021, 07:17:31 AM
yes LTC is very different from Solana and chainlink. these two may have have very bright future but ltc is old and unique after BTC. when btc have bullrun then ltc will definitely follow btc price. and by my point of view ltc price will pump huge in coming days because btc is again cross 50k Dollars.
Litecoin is a very good altcoin and it is a signal of something happens later for Bitcoin. Halving (in 2019) is a demo for Bitcoin halving in May 2020. Lightning network on Litecoin first and Bitcoin later.

The chart of Litecoin is very attractive after months of sideway and the market will have a new altcoin seasons when Bitcoin completes its rally and goes to sideway again. Altcoins will recover. Top altcoins will recover and Litecoin is one of biggest and best top altcoins.

As I see it, the creation of Bitcoin is one of the most important events in the history of human civilization, a milestone making the entire human civilization fairer and more transparent.
Bitcoin brings one of the biggest evolution to the human civilization.

However I only agree with you about transparency but disagree about fairness. There is no fairness in life. Each of us have different beginning in our lives and with different socio-economic status to begin with.

Bitcoin and its public ledger only give us choices to be free from government control and invest for our future with financial freedom. However, we have to work to have capital to invest into Bitcoin for the future. People who inherit millions or billions of dollar have better starts than people who start from nothing, poor and have to work very hard to invest.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction – Will ETH Hit $5,000 Soon? on: August 22, 2021, 12:11:57 PM
Ethereum wil hit $5,000. Soon or not, I don't know. It can be this year or it can be next 4 years but I believe in one thing, Ethereum will hit $5,000.

I don't sell my Ethereum under $5,000. Ethereum is a biggest altcoin and it is here to get price that was touched by Bitcoin in 2017. The Ethereum ecosytem is bigger and it will be bigger in the future, and the crypto ecosystem will be bigger too.

When you join crypto, you must know Bitcoin then Ethereum. Does it make sense?

1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell BTC and take profit in usdc or usd on exchange. which is safe? on: August 21, 2021, 09:03:21 AM
You can use exchanges as place to take profit but if you consider exchanges as where you store you money, in Bitcoin, USDC or USD, long time, it is not good.

Exchanges can make scam exits.  They can be hacked and announce bankruptcy. They can be shut down by governments. All of these, you can not control. On centralized exchanges, you don't have private keys of your coins so if they shut down, you lose your coins.
1810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 20, 2021, 12:36:36 AM
Ethereum and bnb is the most outstanding altcoins this year, I believe that those who buy on cheap last 2018 has now earning a huge amount of profit. Bnb and ethereum are both useful coin it is the most gainer altcoins in terms of investment this year and their is no doubt that before year end it will have a new ATH so buy guys before it's too late again.
Who bought ETH in January 2018 and hold till 2021, deserve to be called as true investors. They are very patient, brave and didn't give up their belief in ETH.

BNB was airdropped by Binance in 2017 and who received it but hold till 2020 or 2021 should be considered as real investors. I believe BNB will get price as same as ETH now.

ETH and BNB are good altcoins and they are lessons for people who want to become altcoin investors. If they can not do as above, buy, hold through bear market, they are not real investors but just speculators.
1811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking vs investment on: August 20, 2021, 12:11:50 AM
We have basically 5 types of traders
  • scalpers
  • swing trading
  • Day trading
  • position trading
  • Arbitrary Trading
Trading is hard and losses will cause success later. If you don't afford losses, you should not trade. The cost to learn trading is more expensive than to learn investing.

Investors :
This are crypto experts who understands which coin or token will do well in the near future by studying previous chats or following up with news related to crypto generally. This also requires some level of technicality. This experts study coins newly listed in various exchanges, follow up on news released by their fellow experts as well as tweets by crypto influencers.
Investors must have mandatory characteristic of real investors. Confidence, patience and disciplined with their investment.

If a person has such characteristics, this one can succeed without understanding of technology. Just choose Bitcoin or Ethereum, because of belief, and get success.

However, I agree knowledge is very important. It supports investor decisions but a person who has knowledge but is lack of investor characteristics will end with failure.
1812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Futures - Leveraging Risks on: August 19, 2021, 02:57:05 AM
Your collateral will be liquidated by Binance if your future position touches the limit at which liquidation will be triggered.

Binance don't have good reputation about their Future trading. I read many complains that why their orders were not filled in Future market on Binance. It means they lost opportunities to get profit. Oppositely, when the market is bad, their collaterals are more easily to be filled and liquidated.

Only Binance have beneficiaries, not customers and future traders.

Generally Future trading is very risky not only on Binance.
1813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 19, 2021, 02:51:24 AM
Ethereum will make it there mate, because i believe still of what will be the next version of ETH will bring sooner, i don't know what takes this long to release but hoping this will come as soon as [possible as the competition for the ranks is now increasing , there are other coins that has been a threat to each others position.
I trust Binance but i am not sure if this will make it there to break ETH in that second position.
Ethereum is bigger than BNB so it is more stable than BNB. I also believe that Ethereum will have price about $10,000 but even so, it is only x3 from $3,000.

BNB if gets a price at $3,000, would be x8 from current price.

I have both BNB and ETH in my portfolio but I have more BNB than ETH. I don't say BNB is better than ETH but I smell more chances to get more profit with BNB.

Yeah exactly, No one has predicted about Binance that it will grow like that within a matter of few months but i have been hearing every one saying ethereum grow since years. But BNB has grown multiple times more that ethereum.
Binance was a big surprise in 2017 when the market was dominanted by Poloniex and Bittrex. Binance appearance changed the crypto exchange industry and since 2017, Binance has been a leader in crypto exchange industry. They are very creative and determinant with their products, promotions. They are game changer since 2017.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA on the way out on: August 18, 2021, 06:41:29 AM
DCA (dollar cost average) is a well known way to build up a position in Bitcoin (also applicable to other assets). Once a large enough position has been built and there is a desire to exit, what are some strategies on the way out?

Let's say we've DCA'ed in for 4 years and now want out. What are some good ways to reduce your position without DCA'ing out over 4 years (again)?
Dollar Cost Averaging can be used for Bitcoin and altcoins and of course you have to choose very good altcoins to DCA.

https://www.blockchaincenter.net/dollar-cost-averaging/
DCA is good for long term investors. If you have weak hands, DCA does not help actually.

1816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: August 16, 2021, 12:26:20 PM
As the market is very volatile, strategies have to adopt or you are the one to adopt the changes and test every single strategy that you know.
Volatile contains opportunities and risks. It bring opportunities to good traders and good investors. It brings risks to bad traders and bad investors.

Yes, if I'm trading and I find something good and very well effective and proven. Why would I leave that strategy even if I saw some other effective strategies from others yet I haven't tried it? There is this essence that if you're doing good with what you've chosen as a strategy, just keep going and as long as you're seeing the results and effectiveness. Don't leave it yet because that might be where you belong and where you're good at.
An effective strategy is good for you but it can be bad for others. Because one trading strategy is not applicable for everyone. Depends on your personal characteristics, greed, calm, hurry, emotional uncontrollable, etc. you will have to choose one trading strategy that can work best for you.

Rather than trying to waste money and use your pocket money to practice and choose a good trading strategy, why do you not holding Bitcoin?
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 15, 2021, 01:46:54 PM
The BEP2 chain is already BNB's native chain. I'm not sure if the Smart Chain is a pegged token or they migrated some of the supply to that chain but it is working fine and it is already independent from Ethereum. Making BSC compatible with Ethereum was a good move because a lot of developers either moved over to BSC or are making cross-chain products that can be accessed by BSC supporters.
It seems people use BSC more than BEP2. Cross-chain or Interoperable chain is attractive for people because they would prefer to choose a chain that gives them more convenience.

Coin98 Finance is built for multi chain and I think it will compete with Uniswap, Sushiswap for the leading position in DeFi. It was born later than Uniswap or Sushiswap but I think that one is growing very fast.

So do you mean only 34k GBX and the coin will be listed as wGBX on https://yieldfields.finance/?

It is not a too expensive listing cost but does Yieldfields Finance is good and has good volume? I can not find this one with coinmarketcap or coingecko.

How long does the Yieldfield finance operate?

1820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: (GUIDE) ON-CHAIN DATA Indicators explained on: August 14, 2021, 01:48:58 AM
Viewbase has table and chart for exchange flows (in / out).
https://www.viewbase.com/coin/bitcoin
In last 30D, 151,759 BTC was moved from exchanges. It is a big number and if you knows data from Glassnode, you will see it is similar to the trend of holder accumulation. Since May, Bitcoin ownership has changed from short term to long term hodlers.

Quote
Bitcoin HODL waves for Middle-aged (3m-1y) and Old coins (1y-5y) show the other side of this equation.

Younger coins are held dormant and thus mature into older and older age brackets over time showing the conviction of $BTC holders is high.
