2541  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What charitable DEFI project should I make? on: October 18, 2020, 09:51:20 PM
I also registered defiTools.cc if that is better than .co

Isn't .cc sounds like to be part of Adobe's Creative Cloud? Lol Cheesy

Enough said, I guess defiga.me would be a much nicer idea. Tool platform with premium membership often have less clients and low audience, as most would rather make us of free software and tools than to have a subscription based platform which offers the same outcome and has a higher risk of being trusted as subscription based often tend to use Credit/Debit cards and I've seen no crypto nor defi that has that membership payment feature.

Also, games with just a percentage fee to be donated to charity seems to be a more interesting platform, as users would gamble and have some fun, while being a gamer of a good deed by providing donations through charity. Personally, defi.gives or just a platform for giving charities didn't really clicked. There are a lot of funding platforms that is already popular, trusted, and better. Hence why make platforms that wouldn't really answer a certain problem and/or a platform which idea already exists?
2542  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] YOLOdice.com Signature Campaign on: October 15, 2020, 04:41:20 PM
Too bad it's still closed for new participants. Even if I can't join right now, I would like to ask, can I withdraw my bitcoins instantly when I receive them from the campaign or I'll have to gamble on yolodice?
Yes, you can immediately withdraw without having to gamble or depositing certain amount of bitcoin. YOLOdice does not take hostage of your funds in your account. I am receiving my weekly payment directly into my account and I never encounter any withdrawal issues on their end.
2543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Kell Brook vs Terence Crawford November 14 on: October 13, 2020, 11:38:15 PM
This is the first time I see a boxer not having a trainer for himself, it's like playing a basketball being a playing coach. wow.. this is just unique, hope it will have an impressive result and he could beat the heavy favorites here.

Some trainers are hired and not really related to the boxers, while some are close friends and had been coaching the boxer since he started his career. But in Brook's case, his trainer simply declined due to the pandemic and the risk of going abroad (clearly stated by Baofeng). Ingle also stated that,
Quote
He does his own thing. Like I say, he’s 34, he has three kids, he’s made his money. We’ve had a good run.

which simple indicates that whether Brook has Ingle's coaching and training or not, Brook knows his thing as Ingle trusts him that he can.

Basically, my judgement is that Brook can handle this fight very well. It is really an issue if a boxer has never been lost in a game, as it could indicate that he never had any frustration nor motivation to not lose at all. Also, having the change of coach wouldn't mean that the routine and the boxer's strength would change as well. Hence, this might be a close fight, but Brook has more chance.

Good luck and what kind of level up are you planning to do? Lol
You're putting too much pressure on me though  Cheesy. As for the level up, I am not quite sure of what kind of surprise I will be doing for my next halloween entry since thinking of a unique concept can sometimes be a pain in the ass  Grin.

But anyways, thanks for the good luck.
2545  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Hand Drawn" - $1250 up for grabs! Ends October 5th on: October 12, 2020, 09:19:34 AM
By the way, do I need to send my work to Roobet to claim a prize?
If you have included your Roobet Username upon submitting your artwork then all you need to do is to wait for a few days. Your reward will soon be credited to your Roobet account.

Afterwhich, you need to deposit at least 1 USD in order to withdraw your funds without any issues.

Am I still able to join?  Cheesy

Hoping for another chance of making another entry. It's funny that I was able to create first an entry of "Halloween themed" artwork before this haloween special art contest.
2547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New members Increase Position on: October 11, 2020, 04:09:49 PM
New members should share  blockchain crypto knowledge about and request all my senior members to help in increasing the Merit of new members.
You should practice what you preach

Indeed! Sadly, the OP already had an issue with the merits. By looking on his trust score[1], it seems that suchmoon flagged him (neutral) as he begged for merits through pm. Also, I've seen that the OP is just a bounty spammer[2] and posts bounty reports more that 'sharing the crypto knowledge'. Ironically, this user only knows joining bounty programs yet bought copper membership. I guess he have expected that being a copper member increases his posting quality and contribution.

New members should share? Apparently, if they are new, what could they share? I've seen newbies saying this and that, especially services or experiences that they cannot even disclose publicly in this forum. Therefore, I do suggest you to stop begging, you've might end up being tagged by more users. You aren't new here, so we've expected more than this. Sad

2548  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2FA app on desktop on: October 11, 2020, 02:45:41 PM
That is not necessarily safe, what if our PC is infected with a virus.

U2F keys and 2fa are just additional layer for the security of your files/money/account/etc.. It doesn't protect you from being attacked and being careless. If you think the device has a malware then don't use or make a proper action to get rid of it.

Indeed. Well, apparently, viruses are just an altered codes attached on to programs that makes various activities depending on what it is made for. But in fact, computer viruses wasn't really that made to do something that can compromise one's security, especially if they would user hardware authenticators as well. Also, viruses cannot simply be infecting on a person's device without him doing unsafe and unsecured activities, both online and offline.

Therefore, you can be "safe" if and only if you have genuine antivirus and programs installed on your device, and not downloading cracked nor patched applications. Lastly, most legitimate antivirus nowadays do tend to be updating their system daily as people keeps making dozens of virus online, making them instantly blacklisting any suspicious programs that may or might have been infected. Hence, 2FA is still the best safety precaution - regardless of your device's protection.
2549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2FA app on desktop on: October 11, 2020, 02:38:45 AM

Something that a lot of people don't know is that you can use a hardware wallet for your 2FA. Both Ledger and Trezor devices support FIDO Universal 2nd Factor Authentication (links below). If you don't want to spend money on a YubiKey or similar, then you can use your hardware wallet instead.

Wouldn't there be a risk if we've used our hardware wallet in two-factor authentication? I've seen that we still need to use the app then connect our hardware wallets to make the authenticator work, but are there no risks involved? It seems that this is really a better choice if someone wanted to have a much secured accounts, adding up the security level of both hardware wallet you've mentioned - making it like a physical key to your safe/accounts. But still for those who doesn't have any hardware wallets, YubiKeys are much cheaper if a user just wanted 2FA.

I can't wait that both Ledger and Trezor hardware wallet would soon be adopted to be a key in opening desktops/laptops as an additional security measure - like a key to boot it up. Grin But AFAIK there are already programs that can make your flash drives to be a key, but it has a lot of loopholes for a security of a device.

Hey! Thank you for supporting my commissioned artwork thread  Cheesy. I also didn't expect to see that there are some people who are being inspired from the artworks that I have created previously, it is just surprising to see myself contributing to other people's growth especially in their art skillset.

However, I also can't deny the fact that being on a place where achieving consecutive wins gives me a tremendous pressure to the extent that thinking about improving my next artwork really takes toll on me. The struggle of thinking a unique concept can be quite discomforting especially that there are few people who are expecting a well designed output coming from you.

Winning on a particular contest where money pours into your stash is great, but apart from money, giving people or the audience a great output or satisfaction is still the primary focus why I am creating such artworks.
2551  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Craftsmanship" - $1400 up for grabs! Ends October 5th on: October 10, 2020, 03:17:36 PM
Special congrats to @Maus0728 for winning three contest! That's just so cool.   Cheesy
Woah! Congrats to @maus0728 it was a real blast to win from 3 categories  Grin Every artwork was worth to see!

Thank youu so much!!

Also, congratulation to @Maus0728 for the hattrick Grin Grin Grin
Wait! Is that the stylus makeshift? If yes, then I am glad that you've found it useful for your art journey and to this wonderful contest as well. Keep learning and practicing.

Congratulation to the winners! Cheesy Cheesy
@Maus0728
Thank you @Asuspawer09. Still looking forward to another contest  Wink. I still can't believe that a 3 consecutive wins is possible since there are lot of unique entries and great artists lurking around in this community making the competition a lot difficult.

Anyhow, thank you everyone.
2553  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Hand Drawn" - $1250 up for grabs! Ends October 5th on: October 10, 2020, 05:53:40 AM
Such a talented guy you Maus0728, congratulations!

You won in 3 category at once damn bruh ,

1st place of hand drawn contest
1st place of digital art
2nd place of craftmanship

Unbelievable achievement. You just bagged $2,000 from the contest  Shocked , worthy talent. Keep up the good work , we love to see them.

I am also surprised Cheesy. I didn't even expect to get 2 1st Place on the "Hand Drawn" category since the 2nd place looks great too. Graphite and Charcoal medium is one of my favorite art style that is why I am not expecting my Acrylic to get to the top.

Anyhow, thanks for everyone's appreciation to my artwork especially to Roobet and team and once again to @HHampuz.

I would like to congratulate all the winners and especially to Maus0728 for being a defending champion again with this digital art
Thank you for the appreciation. It means a lot.

Holy Molly. The judges definitely have an enviable job but the final results as always are dazzling. Hats off to Maus for this awesome concept again. She is sexy..lol..Its again the creativity and the idea that wins it for him. The GIF looks great too. He has been a regular winner and the opening post for the contest too has one of his works.
Thank you @amishmanish, these rewards can somehow help me to survive in this ongoing pandemic while supporting my own tuition fee in college university. I was also surprised though that Roobet Team included my digital drawing on their Announcement poster Cheesy. Nonetheless, I appreciate all the people behind this contest espcially to @HHampuz.

Totally jealous of the talents and skill of all the participants. I wish that more than three of you could have won. Congratulations to all the winners.
Some insightful tip for aspriing artists out there, there are lots of digital and traidtional tutorial that can be found on youtube including arcylic and oil paint application. Those resources can be easiliy accessed with just a few click and of course your dedication to learn and practice constantly is a crucial step in order to attain comfortability with using various medium.

Watch -- Learn -- Apply.

The piece by Maus is just soo beautiful.
Very much appreciated  Grin.

To be honest, I really didn't expect that my "Paper Quilling" entry will be chosen as one of the top submission in "Craftmanship" category since it is just an extra entry that I have created to at least increase my chances of winning as well as it is not my art style forte. But surprisingly, I think that decision turns out to be a bonus and I've realized that taking such risk of submitting an entry is not bad at all.

Thank you Hhampuz and Roobet Team. It was a BLAST! Cheesy

Edit:
@Maus0728, you're a great artist as ever, congrats to you!
Thank you!!! Very much appreciated. Also, congratulations to you.
2556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I change a user on a forum? Help! on: October 09, 2020, 02:16:04 PM
There is no option to change username in this forum. As mention by the reply above it is not possible to change username and the best way is to create alternative account.

Anyway, why want to change username? Do you feel your privacy gets compromised? Many of the users here are doing KYC including myself especially those days of bouny hunting in ICO projects. So, I think you can get used to it.
I want to change my name because a lot of people follow my old name and I don't like that.

Do you understand?

@donatello345 , it is really impossible to change your username, unless theymos decided to give you a chance. In most cases, users that are given chance to change their name are those who aren't that long enough in this forum and mostly newbies. Check this thread from Meta where a user back then has been given a chance to change his username[1], BUT with valid reasons (I guess). BTW, Here's theymos answering on a change name thread[2]. Even most of us wanted it to be a feature here in the Forum. But it do have a lot of disadvantages when and if implemented, mostly to run out of problems (when you are very well known).

2557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries in Publicly Traded Companies on: October 09, 2020, 11:41:41 AM
~

Actually this is a risk especially if they would use such amount to sell it to others in a much lower price (in which is less possible as they wouldn't make that profit). But still, having a huge percentage of BTC's volume on a single company or market (esp Grayscale) can make them control the market, its ups and downs, and they can even win many trades with it. But on the other side, there can be a good thing with this, as the world would slowly adopt it being those companies getting much profit with crypto, the more popular, the better. Nonetheless, companies holding huge amounts of BTC doesn't change the fact that BTC would and always will be a decentralized crypto no matter how huge a company can hold.
